“We’re going to talk about it, or we can do it again,” his husky voice did something to her insides.

Unable to play this lawyer’s games, she tried to push him away, but he didn’t budge. The more he watched the more she became nervous. At last, showing some mercy on this poor soul he went to bathroom, and Kara exhaled a long breath which she was holding.

When Jasper came out in his night suit, ready to sleep, Kara’s nervousness went to another level. It seemed as if the atmosphere around them started to change merely with their presence. Kara got up to go to balcony, but Jasper grabbed her hand and hugged her from behind. This closeness should have panicked Kara, but it didn’t. Never for even a second she felt wrong with Jasper.

He pushed aside her hair and kissed at the back of her ear, this quickened her pulse and she held his arms tightly.

He turned her and bent down to kiss her neck. The moment he kissed her neck and his breath fanned it, she felt tingles in all over her body.

He walked backwards and made her sit on the bed still kissing her neck slowly. Kara was under him and his weight caused her to moan in pleasure. She was shocked how could this simple action cause her to behave in such a way.

Her moan sent shiver through his body, and he was harder down. His cock yearned to be inside her, to feel her tight pussy wrapped around his long and thick shaft as he thrust in her gently. He gulped hard, to control his urge to drove into her as he didn’t want to scare her.

Indeed, he wanted his wife. After all he was a man and had needs. And Kara was making him feel things which he never dared to feel.

He wanted to touch her skin without any barrier and kiss her all over her body as she writhed under him

This thought made him move his left hand down her body, and he gripped her both hands in his free hand over her head.

As his hand placed on the swell of her left breast, he slammed his lips on hers. Firstly, it was just a forced touch, but then his lips started sucking hers. This time Kara didn’t give his tongue an easy access, and he smirked against her lips. Jasper was up for the challenge and he knew he was going to win without much effort.

He lower his hand slightly and grabbed her breast before squeezing it little firmly. Kara’s body arched up and she moaned when a pleasure shot up in her stomach.

Jasper was waiting for this opportunity and pushed his tongue in her mouth and touched the insides of her beautiful and sexy as hell mouth.

  CHAPTER 17

Kara moaned, and Jasper kneaded her breast skillfully while kissing her deeply. She was putty in his hands and she squirmed under him. The more she tried to free her hands the more pressure he put to held her under him. After sometime she gave in and kissed him back. Jasper lowered his hand on her hip and he paused breaking their kiss. They both were panting hard, and Kara’s face was flushed. Their intimacy was hot and his touch was burning her.

“Tell me if you’re not comfortable,” he asked.

Unable to meet his stare, she just nodded and closed her eyes. He put a finger under her chin and made her look at him.

“Don’t hide these green eyes from me. You have no idea what these two do to me, he said in hoarse whisper.

Jasper released her hands and crashed his lips onto hers once gain. But this time this kiss was raw with burning passion. His tongue stroked hers and every control that Kara had shattered. Her hands threaded into his hair, and she grabbed handful of them pulling his closer.

Kara’s innocent touches made him smile against her mouth and he broke the kiss and started nibbing and sucking on her neck. His lips trailed down sensually making her wet between the legs. The heat was so much to handle as his assault on neck was rendering her weak.

He traced a hand over the length of her body before lifting up her shirt a bit to have an access to her skin. His rough and strong hands on her skin caused tingles in her stomach. He moved lower while kissing her over her nightshirt. When he reached down to her hips, he lifted her shirt up exposing her pregnant stomach. He caressed the skin and showered feather light kisses causing Kara to suck in breath.

“It tickles, Jasper,” she sounded breathlessly. He went up and kissed her once again. Jasper didn’t know when he pulled his nightshirt, and Kara had no idea when she came on top of him. She was flushed against his broad and strong-muscled frame. His muscles flexed with his every move, and it was kinda hot.

Jasper sucked on her lips with so much passion while holding her head in place and his other hand was inside her shirt roaming on her soft flesh.

He was about to lift her shirt up when his phone rang causing them to come out of their passion-filled lust.

He cursed under his breath, and Kara’s face was red. She was little embarrassed over her boldness and also mortified about thinking what could have happened if the phone didn’t ring. However, she refused to regret this. It felt special to her because his touch made her feel loved for the first time. She couldn’t understand that a touch could be so much nice. Otherwise with William, the sex was only for his pleasure. He never kissed her that long, and that too with so much feelings.

Kara was in her thoughts when Jasper’s hand went to her back and engulfed her in his embrace.

“What hell do you want Aaron?” he sounded annoyed.

Aaron spoke something which made him let out a growl.

“This better be good Aaron, or I’ll have you by your balls.” Jasper sighed while massaging Kara’s hair.

He then straightened and put his phone on mute. He made Kara to lie on her back, “Kara, I’m going to take this call on the balcony. And we—,” he stopped mid sentence when he realized that his wife might not be ready to hear him talk dirty if her deep red face was any indication about her shyness.

She just nodded, meeting his eyes just for a fraction of a second. Jasper covered her with the blanket and went out to take the phone call.

  “Speak,” he sounded annoyed.

“You’re getting frustrated like a horny teenager,” Aaron chuckled.

  “Shut up, and start speaking.”

“Okay, I have found something and it is disturbing to me,” Aaron sounded serious, and all the playfulness leaving his tone.

“What is it?” Jasper was alerted at once.

“Can’t tell this on phone or now because you’ll definitely do something stupid. There is a charity ball tomorrow, meet me there.”

“If you can’t tell me now then why did you call me in the first place,” he whisper yelled at his friend.

“To warn you, the danger is lurking around, and keep your one eye open every time.”

  “Aaron, what is going on?”

“Will answer everything tomorrow, and keep Kara safe.”

“Fine,” Jasper let out a sigh, knowing that his friend wouldn’t spill the beans now. He had to wait.

Jasper went inside the room, and Kara was already asleep. Her small figure under the covers was doing things to him, and he gulped before joining her on the bed. He scooted closed to her hugging her waist and pecked her lips. He, then, sighed and closed his eyes, but his brain kept on running wild over what Aaron said.

Jasper and Kara went to the charity ball next evening, and press surrounded them yelling all sorts of questions in their direction. Jasper tried his best to shield her with his large built from the scandal-hungry wolfs.

A familiar figure caught his attention and he lead Kara to Ethan who was looking at his wife —Crystal— with a deep frown while holding her from waist, and she was looking here and there in an obvious attempt to avoid her husband’s stare.

  “Crystal?” Kara spoke before Jasper.

Crystal turned, and her face lit up with a bright smile, “Kara!”

Both husbands saw this exchange. While Jasper was amused, Ethan’s expression went from frown to pissed.

Jasper chuckled at his friend’s helplessness. Both pairs greeted each other, and then Kara went away with Crystal when Jasper suggested them to have girls time.

“Why are you looking like a kid whose candy is stolen?” Jasper asked when the girls were out of their earshot still looking their retreating figures.

“Before you showed up, she was standing here so stiff as if I was holding her as a hostage, but when she saw Kara, she had an illuminating smile on her face like she got the Gennie of Aladdin.” Ethan said frustratingly.

“You’re jealous,” a waiter passed them and they took a glass of champaign.

“By the way, you were going to France today.”

“Change of plans because of my allergy attack,” Ethan shrugged while gulping down his drink.

“Seems like your allergy attack didn’t kill you,” Aaron’s voice came from behind and they turned towards him.

Jasper straightened, “what were you saying yesterday?”

  “Not here, Jasper. Follow me.”

“Hey, I can’t leave Kara here all alone.”

“She is not alone, Crystal is with her. Besides, I’ve my men around here to keep an eye on them.” Aaron gestured towards the said ladies who were seated near a corner looking over something on the phone while talking smilingly.

Jasper patted Ethan’s back, and they went out on the balcony.

“My worst fear has come alive,” Aaron said with stoic face and this made both Ethan and Jasper to be alerted.

“What do you mean?” Ethan asked, worry laced in his voice as his mind was also reeling in the past.

Aaron took out his iPad and unlocked it before opening the file that had him worried.

Jasper took the iPad and his body went rigid while Ethan narrowed his eyes on the screen.

“Whose eyes are these, Jasper?” Aaron asked.

Jasper looked hard, and a realization washed over him when he recognized the innocent doe shaped green eyes.

“Amelia?!” he was beyond shocked. And even Ethan was shell shocked.

Other day when Aaron asked for the pictures, he wanted to examine every detail of them. And one of the photos caught the reflection of Amelia’s eyes on the window of the car while Kara was trying to open it.

Jasper shook his head, fury engulfing every cell of his body. He clutched the iPad hard, funning in anger.

He started to connect the dots, and only William’s name popped up.

“I’m going to kill that bastard,” he spoke in deadly chilled voice which could send shivers down anyone’s spine.

He was about to get out of there to have a fist match with his brother when Ethan stopped him.

“Don’t be a fool Jasper. You’ve to catch him red handed.” Ethan spoke.

“What are you trying to say? That sick bastard has done something to my wife and my sister. How could I stay calm?” Jasper seethed angrily in Ethan’s face.

“I’m not saying you to stay calm, Jasper. Keep this anger alive, but remember one thing— the raging fire burns everything in its path, and both Kara and Amelia’s lives are at stake. If you did something stupid, police will get involved, and they will drag Kara and Amelia in this. The man who could stage his death, can do anything. Don’t give him the satisfaction that you are losing your mind. And if I’m correct, he’s probably waiting for you to slip, so that he could finish what he started. Get all the answers, Jasper. Of all the people you should have known that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.” Ethan sighed.

“Ethan is right, Jasper,” Aaron joined them.

“I just want to fucking kill you both. At least you guys should have support me. How can I pretend like I know nothing when everything is much clearer.” He growled.

“We will definitely support you if you ever decide to jump off the cliff.” Ethan snorted.

“Fuck you,” Jasper shot back leaning on the railing to control his rapid breathing.

His tight fist collided with the hard metal, but the pain was nothing compared to the pain he was feeling inside his chest.

“There is one more thing,” Aaron said after a while. Jasper turned his head towards him.

“Black Publications is on the verge of bankruptcy. Use this detail and bring him down.”

“I can’t believe my brother is some kind of a monster,” he said in much composed voice but inside he was wanted to beat him to death.

“And to catch this monster, find what he did to Kara and Amelia, and why?”

Jasper straighted and faced the party, his eyes lingering on his wife who still with Crystal and seemed happy. This smile of hers really reached her eyes, and her relaxed face was bringing peace to his mind. In that moment, he knew he could do anything for this girl.

As if sensing someone’s gaze on her, she looked around and her eyes settled on her husband. She gave a shy smile, and this made Jasper to smile back.

Her smile, her eyes, her hair… every inch of her body and soul were forcing him to fall for her. And he was falling for his forced bride.

  CHAPTER 18

Jasper had gloomy mood, and he was pissed at his friends that they stopped him from acting upon his urge to beat William. Kara was glancing his way every few seconds unable to understand the change in his mood. The scowl on his face was scarring her, but she held herself together. She didn’t know what happened to him, but she was sure it had something to do with his talk to his friends on the balcony.

Jasper’s hands clutched the steering wheel tighter and his knuckles were white, his jaw clenched and he exhaled.

“Are you okay, Jasper?” she asked in a hesitant voice.

He remained silent because he didn’t know how he’d react if his control snapped. And scarring Kara was the last thing he wanted to do.

On the other hand, his silence was making her nervous. In this moment, he was reminding her of William. He also used to shut Kara out when his mood was not right. And a tiny part of her brain was screaming with fear as if history was going to repeat.

She moved her hand to touch him but stopped herself not knowing his reaction. And she was not ready to take risks and chances. Her heart was not brave enough.

Jasper’s peripheral vision caught her movement, and he cursed inside when he realized he ignored her.

She is scarred enough for the life! How would she trust you when you behave like this, you moron. His conscious yelled at him.

He sighed and relaxed a bit before grabbing her same hand and squeezing it with warmth.

“I’m fine, Kara. I’m just distracted because of some case. And I’m sorry.” Kara was shocked at his apology. Husband or not, she never thought a man like Jasper Black would apologize to her. He sounded sincere, and flashed a small smile in her direction.

In that instant, something hit his car with full force, and he didn’t see it coming. He applied the sudden brakes and car screeched on the surface of the road. Kara screamed in shock and fear, and Jasper held her with one hand to her place. Vehicle behind him struck his car again, and he knew it was not an accident. Somebody was trying to harm them. His military instincts kicked in and he was ready for the fight.

He started the car again and drove very fast to get them out of there. This was the best opportunity for someone to murder them on the deserted road.

  Kara was panicked and frozen.

“Kara, stay calm. I won’t let anything happen to you,” he squeezed her hand in assurance but she was not listening to him. Her mind and body were in shock. She was trembling and Jasper started thinking about how to get them away safely.

He punched some buttons on dashboard screen and yelled, “we’re attacked, Aaron. Send your team.”

He kept on glancing towards Kara, and his heart clenched every time seeing her in pain and shock. The truck was still following them and was much closer. He didn’t have much time to wait for Aaron’s team.

“Hold tight, Kara,” saying this he turned the car sharply applying the brakes, and it steered a couple times then stopped. And vehicle trailing them also stopped, and Jasper saw this.

By this time Kara was screaming in fear, and Jasper unbuckled his seat belt, and took Kara in his arm
s hugging her to his chest still eying the vehicle. Someone got down wearing a mask. Looking at his way of walking, Jasper knew he was a sort of athlete and unarmed. It was dark, there were no light in the car, so it was difficult to see inside the the car. However, the rood was somewhat lit because of the light coming out from the headlights of their attacker’s truck.

“Shh… Kara. Relax. I’m here. You’ll be fine, trust me,“ she kept trembling hiding her face in her hands. He started rubbing her back with one hand while his other hand went to the side of his seat.

He unlocked the doors and waited for the man to come. Masked man rounded the passenger door, and yanked it open. This startled Kara, and she turned towards the attacker. They both didn’t realize when had Jasper pulled out his gun from the side of the seat and aimed at the man.

Kara gasped in shock on seeing the gun. She turned towards her husband who had a murderous look on his face, and he looked scary and a mad man. His eyes were hard with determination, and he looked every bit of a dangerous man who played with danger every time. Not only his eyes were solely focused on the masked man but his armed hand didn’t shake also.

The attacker stood still, eying both Kara and Jasper hesitantly. He was startled as well because he didn’t expect him to have a gun.

The attacker moved back slightly and his hand went to his trouser pocket, but before he could get something out Jasper fired his gun and shot him, and he fell back on the ground whimpering in pain.

Kara screamed in fright hiding her face in her hands. Her body shook violently, and she started moving back and forth in fear.

Jasper inched closer to his wife still holding the gun. When his hand touched her shoulder she flinched, and this stopped Jasper.

Just then number of vehicles pulled and surrounded their car, horn blazing and headlights shining. Jasper’s defensive mode was back, but he relaxed a bit when he saw Aaron running to his direction while his men followed him.

“Jasper, Kara. Are you all right?” Aaron spoke in worried tone. And his men started scanning the parameter.
