She stopped when she saw him seated at the beautiful secretary desk at the corner of the room, his long legs stretched out and a glass in his hands. He had not changed out of the thin dark blue cashmere sweater that he had worn out today and his hair was tousled as if he had been combing his fingers through the strands. Amani felt her heart slammed into her chest as she saw him lounging there, his gray eyes studying her. He had the ability to strip her with those beautiful eyes of his and caused a funny tingle at the base of her stomach. “Hi.”
“Hi.” he did not move towards her as she made her way to him and sipped his drink as he watched her approached. “We need to talk.”
“Do I have time to slip out of this dress?” She had worn a clingy teal blue wool with a plunging neckline and knee-high boots. Before he could respond she loosened the belt and shrugged out of the dress, letting it slide to the floor to reveal the flesh colored panties she had worn and the half bra. She walked over to the sofa next to the bed to take her boots off and then she saw the painting propped against the bed. She stopped and stared at it and then turned to face him. “Where did you get this?”
“Where do you think?” he asked her sardonically. He should have be angry with her but her almost naked body was creating havoc inside him that he could not contain. “Hanson and I had a most illuminating conversation earlier today. I thought you had done your last job when you stole from me?”
Amani changed direction and came towards him. “I was going to get it back for you.”
“Why?”
She eyed him, wondering what his mood was like. Hanson had not called and warned her that he was aware of her plans. She was going to have a talk with him about loyalties!
“Because you are my husband and I do not like Gaston Armstrong.”
He did not respond, but continued to sip his drink and stare at her. She sighed and turning him around to her she perched on his lap and took her boots off before looking at him. “And because I love you and want to make up from what I did to you.”
Liam felt his heart splinter and his hand holding the drink started to tremble. He had to put the drink onto the desk in fear of spilling its content. “You love me.”
“I do.” She framed his beautiful face with her slender hands. “I sat around that table with all those women and heard them talking about their husbands and their children and what they were planning on doing next, and I realized how much I love you and wanted to come home to you.” She smiled at him. “I grew up without knowing what love was like, grew up without parents to hold me and comfort me when things went wrong, and I grew hard and brittle even after Hanson took me in. You are the man who has made me look past that and want to live and love. I love you Liam and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to have children by you –”
She did not get to finish! He took her lips in a fierce, possessive kiss that had her leaning into him. She tasted the scotch and the sweetness of his love as he buried his mouth on hers, his fingers pressing her closer to the hardness of him. She loved him! The words tunneled through his body and sent desire and passion raging through him. This transmitted to her and enveloped them in a storm of passion that ignited the maelstrom of emotions between them. His mouth ravished hers in an endless kiss that swept them forward into near oblivion! He finally lifted his head, his gray eyes darkened with emotions as he stared down at the special woman who had captured his heart and turned his world upside down! No matter what she did, or what she had done in the past, it would not matter as long as she loved him and stayed in his life.
“I am not able to make it to the bed darling,” he whispered as he unhooked her bra.
She eased up and shimmied out of her panties. “Neither can I.” She swung a leg around and lifted her hips as he struggled to get his erection free. He shuddered when she sank down on him, her hands going around his neck. “I love you,” she whispered.
With a broken cry, he seized her lips, his hips lifting as he touched the very core of her, his fingers biting into her hips as he tried to control the movements of her body against his. But she was not having any of that! Amani dug her fingers into his taut muscled chest as she met his thrust with frenzied ones of her own, feeling the familiar fire in the pit of her stomach, spiraling higher and higher as he touched the very core of her womanhood. His heart thundered inside his chest as he drove with deep relentless force into her, making her his, sealing the bond between him and this woman who was his wife, the love of his life and his entire being! He lifted his hands and slid them over her back, his fingers restless against her bare flesh, his body stiffening as he felt the orgasm starting at the base of his loins. He tore his mouth from hers, his dark gray eyes stormy with the fire beating against his flesh.
“Christ darling!” he whispered raggedly. “You undo me.”
She moved against him, circling her hips slowly at first and then increasing it, her head thrown back and her beautiful breasts exposed to his avid gaze. He bent his head and his mouth latched onto a nipple, pulling it inside his mouth. Her body stiffened and she let forth a scream as the storm raced through her body and swept her away on a tidal wave of passion that enveloped him and had him clamping his hands on her hips as he joined her, emptying himself inside her over and over again!

Liam wrapped his arms around her waist, his body sated and relaxed as his wife laid sprawled against his chest. They had eventually made it to the bed where he had taken her again, his mouth moving over her body with a slowness that had almost driven her insane! He had gone every inch of her body before finally taking her, sinking himself deep inside her and losing himself in her. The painting at the foot of the bed was forgotten, everything was, except the woman in his arms and the love he had for her!
She stirred against him and lifting her head she noticed the sensuous smile on his lips. “You look like the cat who swallowed the canary,” she whispered as she propped her head on her arms.
“I feel like the cat who swallowed much more than the canary darling.” He pushed back the hair from her forehead tenderly. “My love and my life.”
“This love and marriage thing mean that we are committed to each other, right?”
He nodded, his eyes amused.
“So that means no more other women for you and we are together for as long as we live.”
“Was that a question?” he teased her.
“It was more like a threat darling. If I have the slightest inkling that you are interested in another woman – one inkling Liam and I am going to gouge her eyes out and damage your very magnificent penis. Is that clear?”
His eyes crinkled in amusement as he stared at his exquisite wife. “Transparently so darling." He hauled her into his arms and clamped his hands around her waist. “Now that we have dispensed with that and you are not sleepy, how about we do something else?”
“Like what?”
“Like this.” He brought her head down to his and took her lips in a sweetly endearing kiss that promised forever!
