Who’d been there to squeeze her hand and tell her how strong she was when she was giving birth? Since the pregnancy was unplanned, there was a big possibility that the father hadn’t been there. It should’ve been me… As I thought about her struggling on her own with no–one there to support her, the tears in my eyes finally broke free and rolled down my cheeks. I put my hand over my mouth to suppress a sob.
All this time, I thought Amber had abandoned me… but it was actually me who abandoned her.
