“But not for those reasons, Natalie.” Weyland says to me.

“And what reasons would those be Weyland?” I ask him, my voice breaking as I battle to hold everything in.

“He wanted to protect you, he wanted to make you untraceable. He thought if the bond was broken, there was no link from him to you, you would be safe.”

  “Safe from what?”

“From what he is, Natalie. It’s not so simple. And right now, I can’t go into too much detail. But for now, whoever is after him, would have come after you. You heard the prophecy. They will use you against him.”

“What prophecy?” I ask him. “Is this the Prophecy of Danté?”

“You remember that?” Weyland asks me.

“No, just the name, no clue what it is about.” I say to Weyland, who just nods his head, as if he isn’t about to continue. “Why don’t you refresh my memory.” I continue to say to him.

“Okay Little Lady, it goes something like this. When darkness is upon us, darkness will save us. Black wings on a dark knight, he will find his strength and make the darkness his own. Though darkness cannot exist without his light.” Weyland says and takes a pause and I digest the words he says. But nothing comes screaming back at me.

“No, nothing, is that all of it?” I ask Weyland, but he shake his head and continues.

“You are the light and Jacin is the darkness, Natalie. Still nothing?”

“No, please, continue. It might help me piece together what’s missing.”

“This light will be his weakness, the light will shine through his darkness, dividing his black soul. Though she is of light her Raven soul was granted a favor. A debt is now owed.”

I freeze when I hear a debt being owed. They can’t know, can they?

I watch as Weyland takes me in, he notices how tense I’ve gone, but I can’t help it.

“We know, Natalie. Everything.” Weyland says to me.

“How did you find out?” I ask him. I can’t believe he knows; I never told a soul.

“Oh, Jacin was pretty convincing and you couldn’t help but share your story with him.”

“Oh, hell. What did he do to me?”

“Tied you down, cut you up a bit, nothing much and by the sounds of it then fucked your brains out of you.”

  I am speechless.

“Shall I continue?” Weyland asks me. I just realized my jaw is unhinged and I’m in shock.

“The Summer will be taken by the Winter; the Day will eternally sleep at the Night. They came to aid, now they must be repaid, for a favor given to the Raven soul, is a debt owed by the Darkness itself.”

I clear my voice before I’m able to talk. What the hell did this man do to my brain and my body? Do I even want to remember it all?

“That wasn’t so bad, right?” I ask Weyland and then look to Daxtin for confirmation.

“That isn’t all of it, Little Lady.” Dax answers me and I look back to Weyland who seems a touch more stressed out.

“Weyland, please. I need to know.” I beg him.

“One darkness will wear a crown of gold, the other will wear a crown of thorns and bones. A demon, a nightmare; an angel, a dream. A thread is spun for those who feel it, a thread is spun for those who seek it, a thread is spun for those who keep it.” Weyland says to me, but still nothing is coming back to me.

“To reign is to be challenged, to reign is to be hunted, to reign is to bring death. Everything wished for can be taken, all that is granted, is not always forsaken. When bare trees are set alight by blazing fires. What sun will you turn to once it has burned and returned from once it came.”

And still nothing, I just wish it would trigger something in me, but nothing. I shake my head at Weyland, who seems to be patiently waiting for something to click inside my head. But I’ve come this far, and I will not give up.

“Okay, last bit. Will you fly with scorched wings or will you set free what you desire? Once white turns black, once a crown now cracked, more the evil will spread, the more will end. Listen for the silent visitor, for nothing they will take. Beware the solo visitor, for a life they will take.” Weyland says and waits for anything to come at me.

  A. Ton. Of. Bricks.

“I know the last parts and who they are!” I say out loud and Weyland looks on at me in shock.

“The silent visitors are my guides. The shadows. They have led me this far and they have never been wrong.” I say out.

“That makes sense. They are silent for everyone but Natalie and Jacin.” Tray says.

“And the solo visitor?” Weyland questions me.

“Eric. I remember him from the night of the library. There is definitely something up with him.”

“I agree, when Jacin got that enchanter to talk, he coughed up some names. One of them was Eric Donnelly.” Weyland says to me.

“What was Jacin doing?” I ask out before I think it through.

“Nothing for you to worry about, Little Lady.” Dax says to me and I know it must have been something bad.

“Eric helped Nerissa take you and enabled the enchanters to hold you prisoner.” Weyland says.

“God, that bitch always hated me.” I say out loud and the men just chuckle at my outburst.

Weyland stands and points towards Jacin’s room and says to me, “Go get ready Natalie. We going to Bishops. We need his help.”

“Help with what?” I ask Weyland and stand.

“You remember him?” Weyland asks me surprisingly.

“Weyland, who the hell wouldn’t remember that man?” I say back to him. “And besides, I think once he has latched onto your mind, it’s hard to let him go in a way.”

“Good point, go get ready, we need to leave soon.” Weyland says to me and walks off in the other direction of the house, leaving me with my five.

  Chapter Twelve

“Walk the walk, talk the talk.” - Natalie

  ~Natalie~

I pull at my tight black dress I have on. I can feel it ridding up my butt every time I take a step towards the doors. It looks like I’m entering hell. The moonlight casting the horror movie vibe and the lights on the outside that shine onto the walls gives the entire mansion that epic feel to it.

  I don’t like it.

Weyland had warned me before we left, what I see inside is not for everyone. But the last time they told me such nonsense; I had seen it all before. But this time I feel that this is either going to be worse or completely different. I’m hoping for the first.

I look over to Weyland who is walking beside me like he owns the place. With these men, I shouldn’t be surprised, but amazingly enough I always am. I feel the five, my five, behind me. Even though I can only see Tray, Even and Bus, I know the other two are hidden beside me.

As we walk up the white marble steps, which are shinning with the lights flooding the exterior, a man appears from the darkness. I take one look at him and that’s enough to set warning bells off in my head. Not because he is weird or got that dangerous, I’m going to stalk you vibe. He is perfectly normal. And perfectly normal in this kind of place, is out of place, something is definitely up.

His dark hair is slicked back. Eyes that don’t seem to miss a beat and an easy going smile that is used to welcome people. He is dressed in a dark suit, with a red silk dress shirt beneath the blazer he has on. Smart. Out of place. Following my gut feeling. Run!

“Weyland, gents, good to see you again.” The man says with a nod to all of us, while extending his hand to Weyland, who takes it and shakes it.

“Dimitri, it’s been awhile. Is the boss man here?” Weyland says back to him and I eye him suspiciously. For people that are not allowed to really get along, it sounds like Weyland used to come here, a lot.

“He is, where is Jacin?” Dimitri asks Weyland as they start to walk towards the door.

“Busy, he won’t be joining us tonight.” Weyland simply states and looks back at me. I keep my face straight. Did he not want me to know that they came to this place? M
y interest is now spiked, what the hell is inside this house?

Dimitri doesn’t seem to miss Weylands gesture and turns back to look at me and I get the feeling I really didn’t want to be noticed by this man.

“Well hello there, how did I miss you?” Dimitri says to me, while stopping to give me a once over. And then back again just in case he missed something. His eyes travel the length of my body, and I can practically feel him undressing me with his eyes. “What’s your name, pretty lady.”

“Natalie.” I answer him in short. He is so barking up the wrong tree.

“Pretty name, for a pretty little thing.” He says to me while taking a step closer.

“I wouldn’t do that if I was you, Dimitri.” Weyland says to him but doesn’t stop him from advancing on me.

“Oh, come on boys, it’s not like we haven’t shared before.” He says with a wicked smile on his face. I want to punch it and make him look a little less pretty.

I watch as he takes a few more steps towards me, when suddenly he back peddles like I have just shocked him. Dimitri stumbles back but catches himself before he crashes to the marble floor. I look down towards my hands and they don’t seem any different.

“What the fuck is that smell.” He asks the men that surrounds me. With a shocked look on his face as he assesses me once more.

“What the hell is your problem, I don’t smell!” I shriek out at him. I’m kind of insulted right now.

“You smell. You smell familiar, not in a good way familiar. You smell-.” Dimitri says, trying to figure out where he has smelled my scent before, but Weyland cuts him off before he can finish.

  “Of Jacin.” Weyland simply states.

“Oh, holy, fuck balls! You said he wasn’t coming tonight, right? He isn’t here? Is he? Fuck did he just see that, motherfucker, I didn’t know!”

“Keep your panties on, for fuck sakes and no he isn’t here.” Weyland says.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know who you were.” Dimitri apologizes to me. And I just roll my eyes at him.

“I’m more insulted that you said I stink than you undressing me with your eyes.” I say to him and I watch him wince at the last part of my sentence.

“Natalie, you don’t stink, you smell of Jacin, you are his. Any man that has more brains than this idiot in front of us would have smelt you were off limits before he even approached us.” Tray growls out.

“I smell of what!” I shout out.

“He claimed you. You are his.” Tray states simply.

“Oh! Oh! Like hell it is like that. I will have a word with him.”

“It’s done, move on.” Tray simply states and gives me a look like to just drop it. I’m not going to. I smell like Jacin.

“People are going to think I stink!” I grind out to Tray.

“You don’t stink, you smell of Jacin. No one said anything about you stinking.” Bus says to me, while I hear the ever-famous snort from Even from behind me. I turn back to give them both a glare and they both just shrug at me.

“Okay, enough, we are here to see Bishop, not to discuss how she smells.” Weyland breaks up the small fight that is brewing between the four of us.

“Fine, let’s just get this meeting over and done with.” I grumble out.

“Remember what I told you?” Weyland asks me and I nod my head in response.

“Follow me, I’ll take you to him.” Dimitri says sheepishly now and hurries in front of our group to lead us inside.

I continue my way inside with Weyland once again at my side. My constant companion it seems. It just makes me crave Jacin’s presents more. But what he did to me, can’t be easily forgiven and I shouldn’t easily forgive him either.

Once I make it inside, I hear the high pitched, annoying giggling of woman. You know that giggling a woman does when she is either drunk, high or just fucked. Yes, that giggle. And considering I’m neither of those things, I find it extremely annoying.

“What is this place?” I ask Weyland while looking about the place.

“This place.” Weyland says to me while looking back at me. “Is a place where good girls like you come to die.”

“You come here often then?” I ask him.

“Something like that, Little Lady.” He answers me, but I’m distracted by his answer when I hear more of that annoying giggling.

The giggling comes closer the more we step inside the mansion. I turn in the direction to where the noise is coming from, only to see six half naked woman coming in our direction. If my jaw could unhinge at this moment, I’m sure it would.

Four of the women have nothing on but a thong and the other two are considerately more covered by some sort of lace wrap thing that barely covers their boobs, but still more covered compare to the other four. I watch as the six women are getting closer to our group, their boobs bouncing in time to their steps. What kind of place are we in!

As they get closer, their giggling intensifies, and I grind my teeth in hopes it is going to keep my jaw from unhinging. They stop in their tracks to assess us and then slowly make their way over to us. I watch as the men don’t take their eyes off the ladies bouncing boobs as they make their way towards us. Weylands interested but again the other three just watch, not as interested as Weyland is though. I should ask him about that.

Before the women can make it to us, I let out a groan. We did not come here so Weyland could get laid. But him and Jacin have been here many times clearly and with that realisation, my blood starts to boil. The women still approach us, all seem to be under Weylands spell, and I roll my eyes at the lot of them. I decide to break this up before it can even start. He can come back on his own time.

“Keep. Walking!” I say to the group of women.

“Oh, honey, you could always join us. You look like you would taste good.” The one topless woman says to me.

“If you don’t move, I will move you myself.” I shout at them. I don’t want to think any more on the situation. I don’t want to know what happens in this house. But my thoughts are running wild. I can’t stop them.

I feel the tug of her, she wants out, she senses my thoughts. I start to feel the itch in my palms at the destruction she wants to cause. She wants to burn this place to the ground. And I don’t blame her, I want to let her out, to hell with the consequences. Jacin is not even around and I’m losing control just by the thought of him being in a place like this.

I feel her tug once more and I allow her to come forward. I sense the magic in the air, I see it floating around us. Her eyesight is different from mine, she misses nothing. She takes it all in and she starts to get restless. The air is now thick, heavy, hot. I battle to breathe. It clings to my skin and I feel dirty, sweaty. I hear moaning coming from within the house somewhere. So many different people. So many different sounds. Slapping, sucking, wet skin on skin. The murmurs, the groans. God, the smells. Sin. Sex. I can almost feel the orgasms in the air. It saturates this place. I know what this house is.

I’m in a fucking whore house!

A shiver racks my body, she wants out, she wants control. She wants to reign terror in this house. Her thoughts mix with mine and I try separate them all. But they are going by too fast for me to understand and I can’t separate my own from hers.

I will rip them to shreds.

  They touched what’s mine.

I try block the thoughts out, but they soon become my own and I lose the little control I was hanging on to. I feel my body move, yet I’m not stopping myself. I feel myself leap onto the first girl and bring her down to the floor by her long hair.

  I lift and then smash.

I lift and then smash her pretty face into the floor.

  She touched what is mine.

I’m pulled off her and slammed into the wall. My teeth hit one another, as my jaw is slightly unhinged from the impact. The unknown force that has me, makes me lose my focus for a moment and I feel a hand come up to hold my neck against the wall. Shouting. So much shouting. I don’t understand it. I see
red. I feel it burning through my body. I feel the blood run down my face. I want more. I try to lunge once more at the woman sprawled out on the floor. But I’m pulled back. Held into place.

“For fuck sakes Natalie, get control!” Someone is shouting into my face. But I don’t see who. I see rage. It consumes me. “Get control or I’ll make you submit!”

More shouting. More groans. More smells. Everything is more as she has control over me.

I feel a hand grip my chin. It’s painful. Harsh against my skin. I feel something sniffing me. Licking me. Whatever it is, is tasting me. I don’t like it. I try push it away. I hear voices in the distance, but still. I can’t make out who or what is speaking to me. My entire focus is on the woman that is still on the floor.

I feel teeth latch onto my shoulder and I cry out in pain. She retreats a bit as she allows me to view what is happening. White hair is all I see as the pain in my shoulder intensifies.

“Deal with him, then I will deal with her.” My monster inside me whispers to me.

She releases the control she has, and I feel again. I feel Weylands hair rub against my chin, I feel his brutal hold of my chin and neck. I feel the blood dripping down my face. I smell Weyland only. Not like when she was in control.

“What the hell are you doing?” I shout out at Weyland, while trying to get him off me.

His teeth scrape across my shoulder as he slowly starts to unlatch from where he bit me. His grip on me gets harder, I feel as if my face is in a vice, and my bones are about to crack underneath his hold. I’m definitely going to bruise.

“What the fuck is your problem?” He grinds out to me, his canines are still lengthened and hang over his lips as he growls at me, his eyes have gone that pale glowing yellow colour I have seen before, a shiver racks my body at the thoughts. Scary as fuck.

I don’t dignify his question with an answer. I look to where the woman has now been removed, but a small puddle of her blood remains on the floor. I catch movement in the corner of my eye and see the five have now made their presence known, with only Tray and Even in their human forms. The other three are doing laps, their glowing yellow eyes are like rays of sun and their long nails scraping against the hard wood floors, letting out their unearthly growls at the small group of onlookers, who have gathered around for the show.
