Dark Temptations

"You know, me being on the council, I will have to take off from time to time, and I don't want to give up my tours," Xairin said. "What would happen if I died, and you are bonded. Because me being a sentinel, there is a chance of that."

Jason nodded. "The same thing, It could take me a long time to get over you."

"When will you know when you bond?" Xairin asked with a curious look across his face.

Jason rolled his lips, blowing out a sigh. "We will both know. It will happen when we are, well, knotted up. My body temperature will rise to the point it may be uncomfortable for you and me. I will break out into a hot sweat, and well, yeah, the body heat thing is a dead giveaway."

Xairin did a duck face. "Okay, then. Really hot dick-fisted sex got it."

Jason smirked. "You know, I really don't like it when you call it that."

Xairin shrugged. "Jason, I'm not trying to be crass or anything but you have to admit, your dick going from the girth of a can of a Starbucks coffee that I used to get off the shelf at Kroger to the head of it swelling to the size of a softball, It's just the first thing that comes to mind."

Jason rolled his eyes. "You asked for me to breed you that first time, and you've been letting me do it ever since that first night."

Xairin leaned forward. "Once you are in, yeah, it's great, that magical cock of yours, feels great, and besides, the multiple orgasm thing is nice. I mean, it does hurt when you are swelling up, but you can't help that, it's part of what you are. Jason, when I like someone, I like them for everything about them, their flaws and all, and I am not saying your cock going from Starbucks to softball is a flaw. I am just saying, it is part of your unique anatomy, and if I am dating you, then I will accept that, and if it makes you happy for us to be tied up together, in that way, then so be it." Xairin put his hand on Jason's leg. "I take it because, honestly, a guy getting off in me is kind of a turn on, but I take you, because, I accept you and like you for the person I am getting to know."

Xairin chuckled. "I'm just glad I didn't try to swallow; otherwise, it would have given a whole new meaning to the phrase, he's a jawbreaker…"

Jason crossed his arms. What Xairin was saying was touching. He did have to comment, though. "It doesn't happen on blow jobs, only when we are in someone and it's a constantly warm body temp, a mouth usually doesn't set off the tying part."

Xairin scoffed, looking over the side of the Ferris wheel car they were in. "Good to know."

"So, was that like our first fight?" Jason asked.

Xairin looked at him tenderly. "No, that was not a fight, that was a discussion. A fight usually involves yelling and screaming, and usually, words neither person means, or means, but just keeps it bottled up until they just explode on the other person. I prefer to talk about things and keep the cap off, so it never ends in me exploding on another person."

"Is that what you were like with other guys you dated?" Jason asked.

Xairin nodded. "I always tried to. The one exception was Cale, the crazy vampire ex I told you about. Him, I bottled up, because I always felt like no matter what I said, he never listened. It was like it went in his ears, and out his ass, and then on to the next bottle of whatever alcohol he was in the mood for that day."

  "He was an alcoholic?"

Xairin nodded. "At first, I thought, it wasn't a big deal. Six months into the relationship, I realized it was. He started getting verbally abusive, but by that point, I did love him, emphasis on the word DID. I tried to get him to get help, and it only got worse."

  Xairin sighed.

"You're a sensitive, right? Why didn't you use your mind control on him to get him to stop?" Jason asked curiously while leaning forward, listening to every word.

Xairin looked sad. "If I had done that, it wouldn't have been real, it would have been something I made him do, not something he wanted to do, plus, I never embraced my powers back then, so all of my abilities usually were random then. That, and, he had this friend, Heidi, another sensitive that would have undone anything I tried. Hell, the night Cale found out I was a sensitive was because of her and this twisted sick fetish he used to have."

Jason cocked his head, he was curious. "Okay, what kind of sick twisted fetish was it?"

Xairin really didn't want to answer it. "Not sure I want to talk about it."

Jason insisted. "Hey, if we are going to be honest with each other, and if I end up bonding to you, I want to know what you've been through Xairin."

Xairin sighed. "Okay, fine." He took a moment. "When Cale and I started dating, it was like a one-night stand that wouldn't go away. When he was sober, he was a nice guy, fooled me, but when he was sober, he could be a good person. Anyhow, he always came to my apartment, we never went to his. I would ask when I would get to see his place, and he always said he had a roommate and no privacy, so I figured okay. I would ask again, and he would say if we go back to his place, he would be too tempted to do something dark." Xairin hesitated. "He really tried to play this, dark goth mystery bad boy thing, anyhow, that's what I thought it was. So, one day, I keep asking, and he says sure, he will take me back to his place, introduce me to his friend Heidi and that would be it."

  Jason was listening. "What happened?"

Xairin sighed again, hesitating for a moment. "I meet her. She was this short, heavyset woman, covered in tattoos, which came off really sluty, not the tats or anything, just the way she spoke and presented herself. I have to say though, her tats, not a single one of them were flattering. I mean, I like tattoos, don't get me wrong, but anyways… So, we go into his bedroom, and there is this sex swing, and he begs me to give it a try, and I decide sure, why not, I heard that it helped angle the bottom better. So, here I am, in this sex swing, and all a sudden, his friend Heidi who is a more powerful sensitive than I was, starts using her powers to make me hallucinate, seeing Cale as some demon fucking me. I freak out, I used my powers, and it was the first time I ever blasted someone hard enough to send them through a wall."

"No, shit?" Jason asked with a shocked expression.

Xairin did a duck face. "NO shit, Because of the damages, they got evicted and me having the bleeding heart, let them stay with me until the drinking just got way out of hand."

"Why would she do that? Make you see him like that?" Jason asked with his continued, disturbed look.

Xairin looked at the metal flooring. "Cale told her to. He told me he liked seeing a guy's expressions when they thought they were being fucked by the devil."

"How long did you stay with him after that?"

"A year. He beat me down mentally and emotionally, I gained weight. I honestly thought I was so ugly and fat, that I couldn't find anyone else, and Cale rubbed that in my face every chance he got. Until one day, after his friend moved out since she met someone, I just finally had enough. I was washing dishes by hand to try and relax, and he comes home, already drunk and yelling and screaming, and I asked him to leave. He got in my face, and I blasted him again. This time I asked my droid to do something about it. My droid dangled him out a window until Interpol arrived. Anyways, he has stalked me ever since."

Jason got teary-eyed. "If he ever comes around you again Xairin, I will rip his fucking heart out and force-feed it to his fucking ass."

Xairin scoffed as he too was teary-eyed. "He would probably like that too much."

"So, what about the people that you told me about the night that we first had a real date?"

Xairin looked at him. "Dude, are you sure you even want to know? Because what happened to me the night I was bitten, is nothing compared to the crap Cale put me through."

Jason got up and put his arm around Xairin, looking into his eyes. "Tell me. Tell me everything."

  Chapter 10.

  Saturday, July 16th.

Jason had listened to Xairin all night. They arrived back at the hotel suite Xairin had arranged for Jason and laid in bed together talking and never stopped. Jason listened more than he spoke, when he did, it was questioning that Xairi
n answered. Xairin told him everything that night, from what happened in the sewer, to how he met Alex, to how Alex died, everything Xairin had been through and done since he had been transformed into the creature he was now. He only kept one thing from Jason, something that wasn’t his to tell. Jason hadn't been scared off yet.

  Dawn was breaking.

The windows were like transitioning lenses in a pair of eyeglasses; they began to darken as the sun got up higher. It kept the light coming in, it was comfortable for Xairin as he looked into Jason's eyes. "That is literally, everything I can think to tell you."

Both men were sitting in front of each other on the bed. Jason was down to just his red boxers, exposing his broad shoulders, hairy chest, and stomach, Xairin was still dressed in a t-shirt and shorts. He seemed to be waiting for Jason to say or ask something. So, he prodded. "Is all of this too much for you?"

Jason leaned forward, wrapping his naturally muscular arms around his knees and sat up a bit. He didn't exactly shrug; he just stared for a moment with a frown on his face. "Are you really going to hunt them down and kill them?"

Xairin adjusted as he sat Indian style and rested his arms in his lap. "Before Rory's death, I don't know. I wanted to become a sentinel Jason because I was so fed up with being a punching bag and a victim, now, after Rory, and what happened to Alex, I just want to find each and every one of them and make them pay for what they've done." He looked at Jason. "As for what I plan to do, I do plan on killing them. I totally plan on hunting down each and every single one of them, Jason."

Jason shrugged. "I guess if that happened to me, I would probably consider doing the same."

Xairin leaned back, adjusting to lying on his side. "Honestly, do you think I am overreacting? Would you really do what I'm considering?"

Jason adjusted to lying down, facing him. "Xairin, I've never been in anyone's shoes like that. I can say, that if someone, hurt me, the way they hurt you, being a werewolf and all, ripping people apart and gnawing on their bones, would probably be in the realm of possibilities."

"Xairin, you've been through more than anyone I know, and I've been around for over a hundred years. It's a lot to process." Jason added.

Xairin reached over, rubbing Jason's hairy belly." Too much to process?"

Jason reached over, putting his hand on Xairin's waist. "I think I can deal with it."

  "Are you sure?" Xairin asked.

Jason's grip on his Xairin's hip got firmer, and pulled him over, kissing him. "Can you handle being with a werewolf? Especially if I bond to you?"

Xairin kissed him back, and pushed him over, getting on top of him, straddling a little. He placed his hands upon Jason's firm pecs. "I think I can handle you." Xairin smiled. “The more I think about it, I think this bonding thing is kind of cool, I would never have to worry about you cheating, right?”

“You would be my only Xairin. I would just have to worry about you doing that. I will warn you, if it happens and I bond, alphas can be very jealous and I may not be able to help that.”

  Xairin smirked. “duly noted.”

Xairin looked at him intently. “Jason, you said something about some guy when we were on the Ferris Wheel, that pined after you?”

Jason nodded. “Sydney Boothe. In a nutshell, the guy is crazy and a little vindictive. We never dated, never fooled around, nothing, I promise. The guy is a little unhinged. Anyways, he outed me to my tribe. He is the reason August even knew I liked guys. Needless to say, I have no interest in him, I just wish that was reciprocated on Sydney’s end.”

“So, you have a jealous stalker, and I have a jealous ex-boyfriend that’s also a stalker, good to know.”

Jason kissed Xairin’s lips. “Sydney is nothing to worry about.”

An hour later, Xairin was hanging upside down from a bar in the suite. Jason was letting him sleep since it was daytime. He was tired, they stayed up all night, and most of the morning flirting which ended up in another session of passionate romping around in the bedroom.

Jason had gotten dressed in a white button-up shirt, jeans, and black shoes. He went down to the first floor and went into a computer cafe off from the main desk. He sat down, logged into a public computer, and started looking up the murders that Xairin had talked about, including any information on Xairin's case that might be public. It wasn't that he didn't believe Xairin, he wanted to read for himself, and what he started seeing popping up on his screen, caused the new Alpha wolf to weep especially when he reached the news file about the only victim to survive, was in part due to resurging, otherwise, Xairin would have ended up like the rest. "Jesus Christ," Jason said as he huffed. He had to wipe a tear away as he sat there and continued reading, the body count was holding steady at one hundred and one victims. The remains of two older corpses had just washed up along the east bank, bringing it up from ninety-nine.

Reading it, didn’t just make Jason weep for solidifying more in what Xairin had told him, but infuriated the werewolf that Xairin had been treated like this, not to mention the lives lost. Jason wanted to hunt them down to after reading how many lives had been taken.

Cecilia was sitting at the Society of Night's Bastion City Embassy reading through reports from behind a marble desk. She was looking at police reports that Arcaidus had managed to pull from Eve. Her plot, to force Polanski to run, would prove that he had something to hide and force Internal Affairs, and other departments to dig deeper into it. Even with the information Cecilia had provided, she wanted to make sure that the mortal world hunted him down. She needed him to be as guilty as possible, she needed every dark secret that he had been hiding to come to light so that when he went missing, and turned him, and ended up in prison, her next plot would come into play. They had vampires on the inside in the prison system already, along with other immortals. One of them would infect him the night before he would be scheduled for execution so that when he resurged, no one would ask questions after the body had been switched before it could be cremated. He would live forever, and forever, was how long she planned on torturing him.

While sitting there, the door opened. Sara entered. "Where the heck have you been, Cecilia?"

"I've been a bit busy mother."

"Too busy to return my calls and texts?" Sara asked sternly.

Cecilia leaned back and crossed her arms. "Is there a problem?"

"I have heard Xairin is dating a werewolf?"

Cecilia shrugged. "That's my son's business, not mine. Is that what you really what was so important?"

Sara shook her head. "No, just one thing. I mean, interspecies relationships among immortals aren't too common, but I guess we can blame the old ways for that."

"What is it, mother? What else brings you down here?"

"Intelligence reports coming in may indicate where my mother, Lilith, is being held. We need an emergency council meeting. I am calling it tonight, so bring Xairin, will you?"

"Can you excuse Xairin and me, we are a tad, busy mother."

Sara scoffed. "Entire royal family must be present, what is so important to divert your attention from our newly appointed status?"

Cecilia looked at her. "The men that hurt Xairin, apparently look to be tied to a case Draven was working on right after we were married, and Xairin was born. It's Draven and Xairin mother; I need to be excused."

Sara crossed her arms. "Entire royal family."

Cecilia smirked. "I thought you were the new Queen of the Night? Pull your Queen card, and exempt us for the time being, will you?"

Sara rolled her eyes. "Fine, I will do what I can, Cecilia, but this is a big deal. If this is where my mother is being held, we are talking about restoring our family as it should have been."

Cecilia smirked. "Good, then she can lead, and we won't have to worry about being tested all the damn time."

Sara shrugged. "Oh, don't worry, I am about to fix that, right now."

"About damn time. What's your plan?" Cecilia asked.

  "All along t
hey have questioned just how powerful I might be, well, I am going with the sentinels and destroying anything that gets in my way."

:" I thought you were not allowed?"

Sara smirked. "I guess I am pulling all sorts of queen cards."

Cecilia shrugged with a drawn-out sigh. "Just don't get yourself killed or captured. Lord knows I'm not ready to lead in your place."

Sara looked at her daughter and nodded. "I'm coming back, don't worry. I guess in the meantime, do what you need to do and if the council disapproves, I guess I will just kill whoever opposes it."

"Do what you have to do, I guess. What about Vaughn, I haven't seen him or dad lately?" Cecilia asked.
