Stalking His Bride

by Lucy Darling

That’s fucking perfect. I’ve never loved another woman either until now. I’m starting to get the fact that Carly wants the forever kind of love but thinks she can’t have it.

She thinks her future has already been set in stone because of her parents. I plan to rewrite it so that she gets the happily ever after she deserves. One that includes me.

I am more than willing to give it to her. I just have to make her fall in love with me first. Before she finds out how crazy I am. The lines I’ve crossed this past week are a testament to the fact that I’ll do anything to get closer to her.

I settle us in for the movie, pulling Carly close. She lets out an adorable yawn. She’ll be out soon. I smile. It looks like I’ll be staying the night.

I’m one step closer to making her mine.

  Carly

I let out a long sigh, rolling over in my bed. James! I must have passed out last night. Did he put me to bed? It’s possible. I usually sleep like the dead. I sit up, disappointed I passed out. I was enjoying hanging out with him. It’s been the most fun I’ve had since I moved here. It was nice to have someone that doted on me.

The smell of bacon hits me, bringing a smile to my face. I’m not sure if it’s for the bacon or because I know it means that James is still here. I’ll have to add James making me breakfast to my list so I can cross it out. I know I’m doing it backwards, but James wasn’t in the picture when I started the list. Is he in the picture? I might be getting ahead of myself.

He could just be being nice to me. Maybe the kiss was not a big deal to him. I mean, don’t people date lots of people at once? Wouldn't that mean they kiss lots of people? My stomach sours thinking about that. I need to chill out. To take this one step at a time. I can test the waters. See if James is really into me. It’s a little hard to believe with how handsome he is. Let’s not forget he’s ten years older than me. I’m not sure I’d fit into his life. He probably thinks of me as a little girl who hasn’t experienced life enough.

I pull the blankets back, heading for my bathroom. I hurriedly get myself together, brushing my teeth and hair. I look at myself in the mirror. If I put a little makeup on I’ll look like I’m trying too hard. I set my lip gloss down, deciding I want him to see me for who I really am.

At home I have to do that on a consistent basis in front of my parents. Always hiding who I really am because I know they’ll disapprove. With James I want to be different. I flip off the light in the bathroom and head down the short hallway. My stomach flutters as I start to get nervous. Is this going to be awkward?

I peek around the corner into my small kitchen to see James at the stove flipping pancakes. I didn't know I had stuff to make pancakes. I’m pretty sure I don’t have pots or pans either. I am terrible at this moving thing and having my own place. He looks over his shoulder, busting me peeking at him.

“You want something to drink, baby?”

I stop. Did he just call me baby? No. I must have heard him wrong. Isn’t baby something you call a girlfriend? Last night he called me sweetness, but I was thinking that’s like sweetheart or something along those lines. “You don’t have coffee.”

“No, it's gross.” I step out. He puts the spatula down, coming over toward me; he drops a kiss on my lips before he opens the fridge and snags the orange juice out. What is happening here? This feels like two people who live together or something. Then again, this could be the dating thing which I know nothing about. I’m going to have to read up on this. Is there a Dating for Dummies? Because the last thing I remember we were getting together to talk about the bachelor and bachelorette party. We must have skipped a ton of the other steps.

I’ll have to figure this out later. I can’t concentrate when I’m hungry. I’ll eat first and then navigate my way with James after. It’s probably just him being nice again.

He pours me a glass of orange juice. “Set the table for us?”

“I haven't put it together yet. We can eat at the coffee table.”

“I put the table and chairs together.”

“What?” I step around to the small nook where I have the boxes. Sure enough, the table is built, along with four chairs. I set my orange juice down. “That was really sweet of you.”

“It’s nothing. I’ll work on getting the rest of your stuff built over the next few days.” He hands me a plate full of bacon.

  “You really—”

“I’m doing it. We can argue about it for ten minutes if you want. I’ll end up doing it anyway so you might as well come to terms with it now and we enjoy our breakfast while it’s still warm.” I snort a laugh. This man is something else.

“Bossy and sweet. Not a combination I’d ever think went together.” I shake my head as I take everything to the table for us. I pour James a glass of OJ too. “Where did you get all this stuff? I think everything I have is frozen.”

“I had Williams run a few errands for me.” I take a bite of the pancake.

“Oh my God this is so good.” I can’t remember the last time I ate breakfast food. At home it was always yogurt and fruit. Mom is always on some crazy diet that we all have to join her on. “You’re going to make me gain ten pounds at this rate.”

“Who cares?” He takes a bite for himself.”

“Well, my bridesmaids dress will care. Oh crap! What time is it? I have a fitting today.” I jump up from the table. James snags me by the waist, stopping me.

“We have time.” His thumbs drift back and forth against my skin. For a moment I forgot what I was even going to do.

  “How do you know?”

“The reminder popped up on your phone.”

“Oh. Okay cool because I totally want to finish this.” I drop back down into my seat, ready to dig into all of the buttery goodness that's calling my name.

“You have a lot of reminders in your phone.”

“Were you looking through my phone?” I shove more pancakes into my mouth. He only shrugs, taking a bite for himself. “I can be forgetful so I try and set reminders for everything.”

“Smart.” When we’re done I get up to clear our food and put everything away.

  “Wait. Who is Williams?”

  “My assistant.”

“Oh.” He takes the plate from my hand.

“Go get ready. I’ll clean up and then we’ll head out.”

“We?” He takes the plate over to the sink and starts cleaning. “You clean?” This man is an anomaly. I never know what he’s going to say or do next.

“I think everyone knows how to clean.” He chuckles.

“Yes, but not everyone does it.”

“Go get ready. I’m taking you to the dress shop.”

“Oh, you don’t have to do that.”

“Carly.” He turns around, coming over toward me. “It’s not a burden for me to do something nice for you. I’m not sure why you got that shit in your head, but I’m going to work on getting it out.” I bite the inside of my lip. I think that a lot. That I’m a bother or a burden to everyone. That’s how my parents have made me feel over the years so those things just don’t go away overnight. It’s a habit of mine to try not to make people go out of their way for me. I’ve learned to handle most things myself.

  “Thank you.”

“You don’t have to thank me either.”

“You’ll take my thanks yous and deal with them.” I huff, turning around to head toward my room. I let out a scream when his hand comes down on my ass. I take off running down the hallway. I hear his deep chuckles behind me.

I have no idea what this is, but I know I don’t want to let it go.

  James

Carly fidgets with her phone while sitting next to me in the bridal shop. I had no idea there were so many fucking wedding dress styles. Not to mention all the accessories that come along with them. I’ve never been shopping with a woman before, so this is definitely an eye-opening experience.

“Do you want a big wedding?” I ask Carly. She
looks up from her phone.

“No, but I’m sure my family will make a big thing out of it.” I clench my jaw, disliking her parents more and more by the second.

“What would you want if you picked?” Her eyes get all dreamy as she thinks for a moment.

“To be swept away. To get married in France and travel around Europe for a little then end up in one of those huts you see over the water. Those are beautiful. I’ve always imagined spending a lengthy amount of time there relaxing.”

“I like the sound of that.”

Her phone dings in her hand. “Crap. I’ve got to take this.” She hops up from her seat. I have to fight myself to not grab her and pull her down into my lap. There’s no reason she can’t take her call right here. I know it’s too soon, though, to take those liberties with her. I’m actually surprised she’s put up with my ways thus far. I look at my own phone as Carly ventures over toward a rack of wedding dresses.

It’s her mom. I put my phone away, leaning back as I watch her pace back and forth. Her eyebrows are furrowed and she doesn't seem to like whatever her mother is telling her.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” I look up to see Reed standing there with a very disheveled Tinsley next to him. Now we all know why they were late. It doesn’t surprise me. Those two can’t seem to keep their hands off of one another.

“I brought Carly. She doesn't have a car.”

“I would have picked her up,” Tinsley says. She tries to go over to her but gets nowhere. “Let me go, brute. You’re not even supposed to be in here.” She gives his chest a smack. He finally lets her go. Reed comes around, dropping into the seat next to mine. His eyes never leave Tinsley.

  “Try again.”

“I don’t have to tell you shit.” He jerks his head to give me a hard stare. One that’s gotten him far in life. Too bad for Reed I can be as ruthless as him. The difference between us is I can put mine in a fancy box with a bow and sugar coat it. People underestimate me and sometimes that’s my greatest advantage. Reed, on the other hand, is outwardly a dick. Sometimes I think his way is better.

“If you ruin this fucking wedding—” he growls.

“I’m not going to ruin your wedding.” I want to say that I’m trying to get Carly to agree to marry me, but I don’t want to give Reed that many details yet.

“If you hurt that girl it’s going to hurt my woman.”

“Relax,” I tell him as the girls start to come back over toward us. Carly still looks upset at whatever her mom said. I should have put a listening device on her phone and not just a tracker that alerts me to who is calling and messaging her. Lesson learned. I won’t make that mistake again.

I wish she would tell me what happened, but I don’t want to push her. I have the urge to pull her down into my lap and make her tell me. I don’t think she’d take too fondly to that. Maybe slipping my hand up that pretty pink dress of hers and making her come over and over again would get me somewhere. I wouldn’t let up until she told me.

“Everything okay?” I ask Carly as she takes her seat next to me again. I can tell some of the spark has left her eyes. She pastes a smile on her face, but it doesn’t reach those gorgeous eyes of hers.

“All good. Ready to start trying things on.”

I want to take away whatever hurt her mom has inflicted but I also know that she has to find her way. “I can’t wait to see you in your dress.” And out of it. I don’t say the last part out loud but this time when she smiles I can tell it’s a real one. My job is done for now. Making her happy is the only thing I care about.

“You two need to get lost.” Tinsley makes a shooing motion with her hand. Reed just stands there, unaffected by her trying to get him out of the store. I don’t side with Reed on a lot of things because he’s an asshole, but on this he has my full support.

“I don’t want to leave you,” Reed says.

“That’s sweet.” Carly smiles up at Reed. I could punch him in the mouth.

“Fine.” The girls wander back towards the dressing room. Carly’s mood starts to pick up the more time she spends with Tinsley. I do notice she often fidgets in her dress. She’ll stare in the mirror and scrunch her nose. I’m not sure she likes any of them so far.

Reed has wandered off toward the shoe section with Tinsley. She picked out her final dress. I guess it still needs a few alterations. I slip into the dressing room, going right for the one Carly currently occupies. I pull the door open and step inside.

“James,” she hisses. She’s holding her dress up against her to shield her body.

“This one is my favorite. Get it.”

“I don’t know. It made me look top heavy.”

“Babe, you are fucking top heavy and I love it.” She blushes, looking down. I bring my finger under her chin, making her look up at me. “What did your mom say to you?”

  “Nothing.”

“Tell me,” I order, my tone firmer this time. I playfully smacked her ass earlier, but I’m not opposed to doing it again for information. Her eyes go wide for a moment, but she gives.

“She asked if I’ve gained weight since I’ve been here. She went on to lecture me about how I won’t fit in my dress if I did.”

“I don’t know if you’ve gained weight but if you have it’s fucking hot.” I pull the dress out of her hands, dropping it on the floor. She stands in front of me in a strapless bra and panties. They are a sweet soft pink. My mouth waters. “You’ve been driving me nuts all day with this body and these tight dresses.” I’m at my breaking point. I need a little taste of her to get me by.

  “Really?”

I grab her hips, pulling her into me. She gasps when she feels my hard cock against her. “Been like that all day.”

  “Sorry.” I chuckle.

“Don’t be sorry. I’ve enjoyed the fuck out of it.” I lift my hand to her face, my thumb tracing her bottom lip. “I promise you look hot as hell. Your mom can fuck off.”

Her mouth falls open. “Don’t say that to her face. She’ll murder us all.”

I’d say it right to her fucking face for putting the shit she has in Carly’s head. I reach down, picking up the dress.

“Arms up,” I order. She lifts them and I pull the dress down, her body stopping it right when it gets to the top of her thighs. I spin her around to face the mirror. “You don’t feel sexy?”

Her face is getting pinker by the second. She gives a shrug. “Is getting off in a dressing room on your list, sweetness?” I ask as I kiss her neck before I give her a small bite. She gasps. “You can add it when we get home.”

I trail my hand down the front of her dress. I pull it back up more to get a nice view of her panties before I dip my fingers inside.

“James.” She breathes out my name.

“This is all for me. You’re soaking wet.” I trace my finger up and down her slit.

“I don’t know why I’m so wet.” She moans. Her head falls back to rest on me.

  “Does it ache?”

  “Throbs.”

I spread her pussy lips, going straight for her clit. We don’t have much time. I hate that the first time I make her come is going to be quick. That I can’t savor the moment and take my sweet time. I’ll make it up to her later. I find her clit and begin to stroke her, soft and slow at first before picking up my speed. Her breathing becomes choppy and I know she’s close. Her body goes tight. I lift my other hand, putting it over her mouth as she comes undone in my arms.

She stares at me in the mirror. We never lose eye contact as I keep stroking the rest of the orgasm out of her. I drop my hand from her mouth.

“Wow” is all she says. I think her mind is still playing catch up to what we just did.

“You’ll get this dress,” I tell her as I pull my hand out from her panties. I bring my fingers to my mouth and suck them clean. Fuck, she tastes sweet there too. I should have known. Carly’s eyes go wide watching me. I turn her in my arms, giving her a deep kiss.

  “I’ll be right o
utside,” I tell her before leaving her alone in the dressing room. I adjust my cock in my pants, taking a deep breath before I go back.

I have no idea how I’m going to make it through this day without getting inside of her. At the very least I’ll be feasting on her cunt. One way or another she’ll be checking that off her list too tonight.

“You okay?” James pulls me into his side as we head out of the dress shop. “I don’t know how you wear those heels all day.” It’s not the heels that are making me unsteady. My whole body is still buzzing from what James did to me in the dressing room. I’ve never felt sexier than I did in that moment with his eyes on mine as he brought me to orgasm.

“I love my heels. It’s a small addiction of mine. I’m a shoe girl.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.” He opens the passenger side door for me. I get in as my phone starts to ring. I pull it out to see it’s Tinsley. I’m sure she wants to know what the hell is going on with James and me. I clear the call and text her that I’m still with him and I’ll call her back later.

He slips into the driver seat. I put in a reminder to pick up my dress tomorrow. “Care if we make one more stop? Then I’ll get you food.”

“That’s fine.” I tuck my hair behind my ear. I still can’t believe what he did to me in the dressing room. It had worked, though. Not only will I now feel sexy in the dress, I know that I’ll get turned on being in it thinking about James. “Do you think we can order in? One of my shows is on tonight and I have to see if this one couple breaks up or sticks it out. I can’t help it if I’m a reality junkie. Don’t judge me.”

“We can do anything you like.” He pulls out into the street. “What are you hoping they’ll do?”

“She can do better. I think he’s a cheater too.”

  “Sounds like a childish man.”

“Childish? I’m thinking more along the lines of an asshole.”
