Fight 4 Us (Book 7): Weaponize
Page 15
Some blood drips onto the street from the driver of the red sports car’s face.
The teenage male gathers himself and stands up next to the red sports car.
Jeremy sees the teenage male and says, “That’s Dolan.”
More and more people have gathered along the main entrance fence and are watching Dolan from inside The Haven fence.
“You don’t deserve this place! None of you deserve this place!” shouts Dolan.
“Put your hands up, or we will shoot you!” shouts a male Warrior guard.
Several teenagers from Dolan’s group who left Dolan’s group and now live at The Haven watch as Dolan is shouting and throwing objects at them.
“We have to do something Ox, they are going to kill him,” says Emily to Ox.
Ox nods his head and walks towards the main entrance of The Haven.
A guard tries to stop Ox from going out to talk with Dolan.
“Don’t go out there,” says the Warrior guard to Ox.
“He’s my friend. Don’t kill him. I will try to calm him down,” says Ox to the guard.
Emily walks over to the guard and says, “Let Ox try to talk with him before you do anything.”
The guard looks at Jeremy for guidance.
Jeremy looks at the guard and then Emily.
Emily looks at Jeremy and says, “Please, let Ox talk with him first. You can decide after that.”
Jeremy says, “Go ahead Ox.”
A Warrior guard opens the main entrance door.
Ox walks through the open main entrance.
Dolan sees Ox walking towards him and stops shouting at The Haven.
“Please stop Dolan, they will kill you!” shouts Emily.
Ox stops walking and Dolan looks at Ox.
“What the fuck do you want? Trader!” shouts Dolan.
“Come on man, we were barely holding on. This place is great. They have everything we need here,” says Ox to Dolan.
Dolan drops the brick that he was holding in his right hand.
“Do they have room for me?” asks Dolan to Ox.
Ox looks back at Emily and smiles.
Dolan steps closer to Ox.
“Yeah, they took us in, and they have plenty of room,” replies Ox.
Dolan smirks and steps closer to Ox.
Ox feels like Dolan is letting his guard down.
Ox steps closer to Dolan.
Dolan leans in like he is going to say something to Ox.
SHICK!
Dolan stabs Ox in his stomach with a small knife.
“I guess they’ll have one extra space now! Trader!” shouts Dolan as he pulls his knife out of Ox’s stomach.
Emily screams in horror, “No!”
Ox pushes Dolan away and then falls to the ground.
Dolan raises his hands to his sides at shoulder height and smirks.
Jeremy runs by the Warrior guards at the main entrance of The Haven.
The Warrior guards run after Jeremy.
Dolan shouts, “You want some too, Chink!”
Jeremy runs over to Ox, who is alive but bleeding from his stomach wound.
“Guards take Ox back inside and have our doctor look at him!” shouts Jeremy.
Tran runs over to Jeremy.
“Come on, let the guards handle this. We need you alive,” says Tran to Jeremy.
Dolan laughs and says, “Yeah, they need you alive. You mess with me and you won’t be.”
Jeremy looks at Tran.
“Come on, you little bitch! Daddy isn’t here to protect you!” shouts Dolan.
Jeremy is pissed.
Tran sees that Jeremy is pissed.
Several guards have taken Ox back inside to receive medical care from The Haven’s doctor.
“I’ll make it a fair fight! No weapons, just hands! Have your guards take care of any dead ones that come around, and we’ll fight!” shouts Dolan.
Tran looks at Dolan and says, “We’ll do it inside our parking lot. We won’t have to worry about the dead in there.”
“Sounds good!” shouts Dolan.
Jeremy stares at Dolan.
“Here’s your shot, Jeremy,” says Tran.
Tran, three Warrior guards, and Jeremy walk back inside the main entrance of The Haven.
The guards close the main entrance door and lock it.
“We will let you in by the parking lot entrance,” says a Warrior guard to Dolan.
Dolan runs over to the parking lot gate.
Jeremy and Tran walk over to the parking lot.
A large group of teenagers and Warriors gather around the parking lot.
“We need to check you first,” says the guard to Dolan as Dolan stands at the parking lot entrance gate.
PKOW!
A Warrior kills an approaching zombie as it walks towards Dolan.
“Okay, I got it. Just let me in,” says Dolan.
A guard opens the parking lot entrance gate and Dolan walks inside The Haven parking lot.
“Good to be home!” shouts Dolan.
“We need to search you! No weapons!” shouts a Warrior guard.
“Yeah, yeah. I know,” says Dolan.
The Warrior guard pats Dolan down and finds a small knife on him and nothing else.
Dolan looks at the Warrior guard and says, “I want my knife back after this.”
Dolan walks into the center of The Haven parking lot.
Jeremy stares at Dolan.
Dolan stares at Emily.
The Warrior guard who patted down Dolan holds up the small knife and says, “Dolan is clean. He only had this knife on him.”
“You didn’t have to do that to Ox. You were best friends,” says Emily to Dolan.
“He’s tough, he’ll get over it!” shouts Dolan.
Jeremy walks towards Dolan and stops about four feet away.
“I hope you are ready to lose!” shouts Dolan.
Jeremy looks at Emily, and Emily smiles.
Dolan sees that Emily is smiling at Jeremy.
Dolan walks towards Jeremy and holds out his hand.
Jeremy steps towards Dolan to shake his hand.
WHAPP!
Dolan sucker punches Jeremy in the face.
Jeremy’s left eyebrow starts bleeding.
Dolan cheers and shouts, “First rule of street fighting! Never let your guard down!”
Jeremy wipes the blood away from his left eye and gathers himself.
Dolan charges Jeremy, and Jeremy dodges him.
Jeremy kicks Dolan in the stomach.
Dolan falls to the street.
Jeremy sees Dolan coughing and feels bad for him.
Dolan is in the fetal position in the street.
Jeremy walks over to Dolan and tries to help him up.
WHAPP!
Dolan takes Jeremy’s leg out from underneath him.
“Stop being nice, Jeremy!” shouts Emily.
Dolan jumps on top of Jeremy and rains down punches on Jeremy’s chest and face.
Jeremy is blocking some of Dolan’s punches on his chest and face, but Dolan is landing some as well.
Jeremy is starting to bleed from his nose now.
Dolan reaches back for a big punch with his right fist, but Jeremy is able to maneuver himself out of the way.
Jeremy knocks Dolan off him and is able to stand.
Dolan charges Jeremy and Jeremy counters his charge.
Jeremy pushes Dolan into a parked car.
WHAPP!
WHAPP!
Jeremy lands several punches to Dolan’s stomach and face.
Jeremy picks Dolan up and slams him into the back rearview window of the parked car.
CRASH!
The glass of the rearview window breaks.
Large pieces of window glass fall into the car and street.
Jeremy is choking Dolan now.
The parking lot gate opens, and three vehicles enter The Haven parking lot.
Jeremy hears the vehicles arrive but doesn’t care.r />
Dolan is about to pass out.
Jeremy is still choking Dolan.
“Jeremy! Enough!” shouts William as he looks at Jeremy.
Jeremy doesn’t listen to William and keeps choking Dolan.
BANG!
William fires a gunshot into the air.
Jeremy releases his grip around Dolan’s neck.
Dolan’s lifeless body falls off the back of the car and onto the street.
Jeremy looks at Dolan’s body and then William.
“What is the meaning of this? We don’t have a fight club here!” shouts William.
“I left you in charge Tran!” shouts William as he looks at Tran.
Jeremy shouts, “It was my idea! Tran had nothing to do with it!”
Two Warrior guards check on Dolan and see that Dolan is still breathing.
Dolan catches his breath and sits up.
“Take him to get checked out,” says William to the Warrior guards who are checking on Dolan.
The Warrior guards help Dolan up off the street and walk towards The Haven side door.
William walks over to Jeremy.
William puts his left hand on Jeremy’s right shoulder.
Dolan sees Jeremy talking with William.
Dolan grabs a knife off one of the Warrior guards, escapes from the holds of the Warrior guards, and goes after Jeremy.
Dolan drives down the knife towards Jeremy’s back.
The crack of a whip is heard.
CRACK!
A whip goes right around Dolan’s neck and pulls him aggressively to the street.
Dolan drops the knife.
CRUNCH!
A loud crunch is heard as Dolan hits the street.
Bruce pulls back his whip from around Dolan’s neck.
A Warrior guard runs over to Dolan.
Dolan isn’t moving.
The Warrior checks Dolan’s carotid artery pulse.
“He’s dead,” says the Warrior guard as he looks at William.
The group of teenagers and Warriors gasp in horror.
“Remove the body, we will dispose of it later,” says William.
Jeremy, Emily, and the rest of the group that were watching the fight watch as two Warrior guards drag Dolan’s lifeless body away.
“I had it under control!” shouts Jeremy to William.
William replies, “I know you did, son. Killing isn’t easy. It stays with you. It may look easy but taking someone’s life isn’t something most people easily accept.”
Emily walks over to Jeremy and William.
“How can we help you Emily?” asks William.
“I just wanted to say that Jeremy did the right thing. Dolan was wrong. He stabbed our friend Ox and was fighting dirty. Jeremy is a man of honor,” says Emily.
“Thank you, Emily. I appreciate your input,” says William.
Jeremy smiles at Emily.
“Everyone, please go back inside. We will discuss this later with everyone,” says William.
The Warriors and teenagers start to go inside The Haven.
A female teenager looks at another female teenager and says, “I don’t know how I feel about Dolan being killed. I’m thinking about getting out of here and checking out that mega church near the beach.”
The female teenager replies, “I will go with you Amanda.”
William looks at Jeremy and asks, “Are you okay?”
Jeremy replies, “I’m fine. I have a couple bumps and bruises, but I’ll be okay.”
William and Jeremy walk inside The Haven.
“I want you to get checked out by the doctor. Get those cuts treated,” says William.
Jeremy rolls his eyes.
Before Jeremy can reply, William shouts, “Now!”
Jeremy says, “Yes, father.”
William looks at Tran as Jeremy walks away to the medical room of The Haven.
“What happened here?” asks William to Tran.
“Dolan crashed a car into the concrete barriers around the main entrance. He stabbed Ox, and Jeremy and Dolan fought,” says Tran.
“Whose idea was it for them to fight?” asks William.
“Mine. We searched Dolan for weapons and made it a fair fight. Just a good old school yard fight,” says Tran.
“I’m very…” says William.
Tran interrupts, “I’m sorry William, but Jeremy wanted to prove himself. He wants to lead the Warriors and wanted to earn the people’s respect.”
“Well, what I was going to say, before you interrupted me,” says William.
“I’m sorry,” says Tran.
“Thankful. I’m very thankful for your help. I like that you trusted Jeremy with defending himself. He needs to be challenged, and I like how you challenged him,” says William.
Tran smiles.
Bruce, Li, and three other Warriors walk into a classroom.
William takes Tran into the classroom that Bruce just walked in.
Bruce pulls out a street map of Clearwater, Florida and puts it on a large desk.
“I think he is staying here. In this neighborhood,” says Bruce as he draws a circle on the map with a black marker.
“Who?” asks Tran.
“Jacob,” replies Bruce.
“Are you sure Bruce?” asks William.
“Yes, my men saw them enter a neighborhood on this street after they escaped the chaos at the Clearwater Sand Beach Resort,” says Bruce.
“Very well then, we will get back with the Brotherhood and finish Jacob off,” says William.
“When?” asks Tran.
“As soon as possible,” replies William.
CHAPTER 15
MEGA CHURCH
“You weren’t kidding. It’s definitely a mega church,” says a woman to Kat as Kat pulls into the parking lot of a huge church.
“Yeah, Deb. Wait to you see the inside,” says Kat.
Kat and Deb exit Kat’s car.
“You sure it’s safe here? What about your car?” asks Deb with her Philadelphia accent.
Deb looks around and sees thick metal fencing, armed guards, and a lot of people walking into the church.
“You aren’t allowed any weapons inside. They will confiscate them if you try to bring them in,” says Kat.
Deb looks at her knife and asks, “Even knives?”
“Yeah, everything. Even a butter knife,” says Kat.
Deb puts her gun and knife inside Kat’s car in the glove box.
Kat locks her car.
BEEP!
Kat and Deb walk towards the main entrance of the church.
There are tons of people going into the church.
“Why did we have to be here so early?” asks Deb.
Kat replies, “They have a huge line to get in. They check you out medically and search you for weapons. They don’t want any infected getting in or anyone causing trouble. It’s a long process to enter the church.”
Deb and Kat get in line at the main entrance of the church.
A cool breeze blows the trees and leaves around.
“Thank goodness the church is by the water. It’s too hot to be standing in this sun,” says Deb.
“Yeah, you’ll get a nice breeze off the Gulf. It’s hot inside the church. They have fans going, but no AC,” says Kat.
“What? I’m going to die in there,” says Deb.
An elderly woman who is standing behind Deb and Kat laughs and says, “No honey, you are going to die out here. It’s safe in there.”
Deb turns, smiles, and says, “Good point, I guess you are right.”
Kat and Deb are patted down and check out by the church staff.
“How are all these people surviving?” asks Deb.
Kat and Deb sit down on a bench inside the huge open auditorium of the church.
There are tons of wooden church benches and chairs inside the main auditorium of the church.
Kat looks at Deb and says, “I have to tell you something about this place. It’s….”

; Music starts to play, and Deb can’t hear what Kat is saying.
“Welcome everyone! Glad that you all could join me and the congregation today! I thank you and the lord thanks you!” shouts the pastor as he walks onto the oversized church stage.
“For those who don’t know me, I am Pastor Cower!” shouts Past Cower.
Deb looks around and sees that the entire church auditorium is filled.
Kat sees Deb looking around.
“Now, today and every day that we are kept alive by the lord is a good day. I know times are tough and are getting tougher, but we are alive, and we need to be thankful for that,” says Pastor Cower.
Kat starts to cry.
Deb sees Kat crying and comforts her.
Pastor Cower continues with the church service and provides words of wisdom and encouragement.
“Now before we end today’s service, I want to let everyone know that we are having a meeting for our Survivors group. Led by Miss Anderson and Mr. Bishop. All are welcome to attend and are encouraged to do so,” says Pastor Cower.
Pastor Cower leads the final segment of the church service.
Music is playing, people are singing, crying, and calling out for help.
“Please, lord. Help me find my daughter!” shouts a man.
“Lord, please help me find my husband!” shouts a woman.
Deb listens to the people asking the lord for help and shouts, “Lord, please help me find my three sons!”
The church service ends.
Some people leave the church, but most people stay.
“Do you want to check out the Survivor group meeting?” asks Kat to Deb.
Deb replies, “Sure, I’m interested in it.”
Kat and Deb exit the main auditorium and find the Survivors group meeting.
“Welcome, help yourself to some water and crackers. We will start the meeting shortly,” says a woman to Kat and Deb as they enter the smaller auditorium for the Survivors meeting.
Deb helps herself to some water.
Kat finds Deb and herself a seat.
“Are you new here?” asks a woman to Kat.
Kat turns around and looks at the woman.
The woman has several scars on her face and head.
Kat is taken back by the scars on the woman’s face.
“Yes, I have never been here before,” says Kat to the woman.
Deb sits next to Kat and hands Kat a cup of water.
The woman with the scars on her face turns toward Deb and asks, “Are you new here?”
Deb answers, “Yes, today is my first day here.”
