We slowly begin rocking together, my hand moving up to tweak her nipple. She writhes at my touch, and my balls tingle with the feeling of being inside of her. She feels fucking amazing as I pull back and thrust again. We haven’t had sex without a condom. This is our first time bareback, and it’s every damn thing I thought it would be. She rocks against me in blissful unison. We make a perfect team as we ride this out together, the energy surging through the air flickers and ignites the room in a flurry of adrenaline. I pant hard trying to figure out why this feels so fucking different to all the other women I’ve been with. Neve ignites something in me, she’s special, and even though there’s no real label on us yet, I know I don’t want to give this up. I don’t want to give her up, not for anything.

I thrust inside of her again, my fingers tweaking her nipple harder, her body shuddering with the feeling. My cock throbs, aching with the need to explode, but I want to drag this out for as long as fucking possible. My hand slides from her nipple down her stomach, back between her legs, my finger taking its place on her clit as I press hard. Neve’s back arches into me putting pressure on my cock. I groan as she grinds on me.

Rotating my finger on her firmer, I bring her closer to the edge, her body shuddering and gasping for much-needed air. Her pussy clenches around my cock as her skin litters in goosebumps. She’s so fucking close I feel her release surrounding my cock. She’s right on the edge as everything tenses, her body tightens, her muscles constrict as she moans out my name. Her fingers tighten in my hair making me almost fucking go over the edge as her pussy clenches my cock while she orgasms hard.

“Ace!” she groans, her head thrashing about with undeniable pleasure as I continue to thrust inside her.

I’m so fucking close, my balls tingle as pins and needles run all the way along my spine. I pump harder and faster as she tries to keep up with me. Her hand goes to move from my hair, so I snap mine up to keep her in place. She grips tighter, threading her fingers through and pulling on it slightly as I groan. I’m so fucking close, the pressure is forming in my balls. I feel it building and building. Sweat beads on my brow as I pound into her from behind.

“Fuck, Neve, you kill me,” I grunt as my balls pull up letting me know I’m about to come.

I pull out of her dramatically grabbing Neve and rolling her onto her stomach. I slide over the top of her, one hand pumping my cock, the other comes out with a swift slap to her plump ass, the redness taking hold straight away as she moans. Seeing her flesh change shades like that is enough. I pump again and with an almighty groan, hot cum explodes out of my cock straight onto her red ass. I gasp watching my seed take ownership of her as she lays on my bed coming down from her orgasm.

My cum starts to slide onto the dip of her back as I flop onto the bed beside her completely spent.

Her head turns on the pillow to look at me, her eyes hooded as she giggles. “Did you just come on my back?”

I move in, wiping a stray hair from her face. “Didn’t have a condom on.”

She gnaws on her bottom lip. “I really need to check out some birth control because bareback with you… yeah, we need to always do that.”

  I chuckle. “Agreed.”

She reaches out taking my hand in hers while staring in my eyes. “I don’t ever want to come out of this bubble.”

I’m glad she feels the same way I do. “Me either. Having you here, at the club, is everything. You just… fit.” I lean over and clean her beautiful skin with a tissue.

  “Ace?”

  “Yeah?”

“I’m so glad I met you.”

I inch forward taking her lips to mine, kissing her softly. It’s not rushed, not hard, just so she knows I feel the same, and that in this moment right here, no one can take it from us.

  NEVE

After a crazy, hectic night with my father and the Ossani Mafia, then spending the morning with Ace, it’s time to get back to work. I have no idea what’s happening on set since yesterday’s attack, all I know is Julian’s been trying to call me nonstop. I probably should have taken his call, I probably should have put his mind at ease, but I was dealing with a crisis.

I hope these issues don’t affect the movie or the director makes the decision to cut me.

Ace pulls us up to the makeshift security checkpoint. Mike’s here, sporting a myriad of bruising, and I glance at him with a grimace as he waves us through. Ace takes off down the strip toward Unit Base with a helmetless Noah and Cindi on another bike behind us. Noah’s adamant he’s fine and that his head looked worse than it felt. He’s stubborn, and I’m sure it’s simply because he feels guilty from being knocked out. I think it shook him up that something could have happened to Cindi so easily, and now he wants to spend every waking second with her whether his head is killing him or not—concussion or not.

We convoy together as we pull up to the trailers, then Ace shuts off his ride. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of sitting behind Ace on his Harley.

I glance up to notice Julian race out of my trailer. He’s tired, worn out, and looks like he hasn’t slept all night.

  Instantly, I feel bad.

  I should have called him.

He stays where he is as Ace and I slide off the bike removing our helmets, then we stroll toward him. Julian glances from me to Ace, a harsh expression on his face. “Where were you? I was worried sick after news came in of the attack last night. Can’t say I’m not disappointed in your actions.” His voice is no more than a whisper, but the words cut anyway.

I grab Ace’s hand holding it tight to let Julian know I was all right and in safe hands. “I was taken by the Ossani Mafia for something my father did. It had nothing to do with the club, you have to know that …” I glance at Ace. “The club… Ace, they came to my rescue.”

Julian folds his arms over his chest like he’s none too impressed. “Were you in danger?”

I don’t want to lie. “Yes.”

He scoffs running his hand through his dark locks. “Jesus, Neve. This is a shit-show. I need to talk to you inside!” He points to the door. Feeling like a child being scolded by her parent, I tighten my hand on Ace’s as we start walking toward my trailer. “Alone, Neve,” Julian calls out, then storms inside.

I turn to Ace. “It’s fine. Don’t worry about him, he’s just grumpy. You can come in. Anything he has to say to me he can say with you there.”

Ace exhales, his face falling. “Neve… Natalia, there’s been enough trouble. I don’t want you fired from this movie or some fucking shit like that.” My chest squeezes at his concern. “Go. Talk to Julian, try to smooth things over. I’ll be right over there by Cindi’s trailer when you’re done.” His hands move to my face cupping my cheeks as he pulls my lips to his for a tender kiss.

I kiss him back, a tingle starting in my lips and moving all the way through my warming body. Ace ignites something in me, I don’t know what it is, I don’t know what this is, but I fucking love it. I don’t ever want to stop kissing him. As if to sense my mood, his tongue delves deeper into my mouth as our bodies collide together needing each other. It’s as if this is our first, our last, our only, our every kiss. This is everything as we kiss passionately in the middle of Unit Base for everyone to see. After the events of last night, emotions are running high, and I need to cherish every moment.

  I know that now.

“Today, Neve!” Julian yells so loud I think I hear someone drop their coffee cup as they walk past us out of sheer fright.

Regrettably, Ace and I pull apart. Our eyes connect, I can’t help but stare into his electric blues. They’re so vibrant today. You’d think with the late night and everything that went down last night they would be dull, but right now, the way he’s looking at me, it tells me everything. We’re both in deep. I have no idea how the hell an actress and a biker can walk this minefield together, but I’m willing to find out.

“Neve!” Julian grunts again making Ace chuckle.

“You better go. Don’t want the m
an to have a coronary,” he quips leaning in pressing his lips to me once more. “Keep your cell on you. I’ll grab Noah and sit just outside of Cindi’s trailer so I can see what’s going on and can keep you safe.”

I exhale. “Thank you, I’ll call out to you as soon as I’m done with the slave driver—”

“I heard that. Neve, you have to be on set in an hour, and we have much to discuss!” Julian grunts again.

“You better go, I’ll be just over there,” Ace reiterates.

“Okay.” I lean in kissing him again, then he turns walking off toward Cindi’s trailer.

I watch him knock on Cindi’s door and see Noah step out, then he grabs a fold-out chair and takes a seat facing my trailer. I wave, and turn back toward mine to see Julian watching my every move. He glares at me then turns, and I take a deep breath following him.

I know I’m in for an earful. I just don’t know the severity of that earful. So, I take a seat and wait as he paces the length of the trailer.

My muscles clench with the silence.

  It’s deafening.

“Jesus, Julian, will you say something?”

He turns, his body’s seething with rage. “You could have been killed.”

  I sink into my seat. “I wasn’t—”

“No, but what the hell would have happened if you were?”

I raise my chin higher. “Oh, so all you’re worried about is your profits? What happens if your main money maker died tragically, right?”

His face falls as he sits next to me, his demeanor changing. “Neve, no. I was worried because I care about you. Yes, of course, my wage comes from you, but I like to think we’re friends as well. Fuck, Neve, I was scared you were dead.”

Sinking in on myself, I grimace. “Shit… sorry. It’s just been a fucking crazy night.”

“Yeah, I know. Two officers injured. Security down. An actress abducted off-site. Don’t you see how bad this looks, not only for the production company…” he pauses and takes a breath, “… but for your image, Neve? Not to mention Cindi’s who’s just starting out.”

My throat starts to close up with the tension. “None of this is Cindi’s fault—”

“No, but it sure looks that way. She’s a part of Defiance, who have their members coming and going whenever they fucking want from the set. One of whom is having some kind of illicit affair with the lead actress. During the time you’ve been together, the security gate has been ram-raided, people were hurt badly, and you were taken God only knows where, for God only knows what by some mystery men.”

I sit taller shaking my head. “They were after me because of my fath—”

“But, Neve, that’s not how the press is spinning it.”

As my eyes widen, I gasp. “The press knows?”

He throws his hands in the air. “You think three cars taking out the security checkpoint isn’t going to draw unwanted attention, Neve? Of course, they know, and they’ve drawn their own damn conclusions.” He picks up a newspaper then slams it down on the table in front of me.

I drop my eyes to see a picture of me, the security checkpoint after the chaos of yesterday, and a picture of the Defiance clubhouse. I tense all over as I read the headline.

Actress and a biker blowing up the set – literally.

“What the fuck is this about?” I ask glancing back at Julian.

He exhales. “It basically reads that you’re sleeping with a club member. You’re deep in with the Defiance MC and they are at war with some underground gang in retaliation for some shit the bikers did, the gang came to take you as punishment.”

I stand from the seat throwing the paper across the trailer. “But that’s not true.”

Julian shrugs. “It’s the press, darling, what do you expect?”

I start pacing my trailer. “Then we set them straight.”

Julian rolls his shoulders. “And what is it that actually happened, I’d love to know as well.”

I slump on my seat. “Danny!”

He peers at me questionably. “Danny Esposito? Our advisor, Danny?”

“Yes, but his name isn’t Danny Esposito, Julian. It’s Danny Ossani, and he’s a Capo in the Ossani Mafia famiglia.”

Julian jerks his head back like he doesn’t believe me. “Bullshit.”

“He, his brother, Roman, and father, Sal, took me because of my father’s debt to them. It’s complicated, but they also distracted Defiance and the Andretti Mafia in a fight, so they could get to me, and in that battle, the head of the Andretti Mafia was killed last night.”

Julian throws his hands in the air like he’s outraged. “So, you’re telling me because of your father you were kidnapped, the head of a Chicago underworld is dead, two police officers are in recovery, and you don’t think all of this was an issue?”

I glare at him. “Of course, it’s a damn issue, Julian. But what I’m saying is that it’s not Defiance’s fault, it’s my father’s. This all started because of his gambling debt.”

“Oh Jesus, please don’t tell me there’s anything else?”

I wince hesitating to tell him more. “Well, that, and the fact that not only the head of the Andretti Mafia was killed, but also Roman and Sal Ossani. Danny got away, though, so he still might try something.”

Julian sits down on the seat seeming emotionally spent. “Neve… this is too much. I know there’s such a thing as embracing your character, but darling, this is too, too much.”

Gnawing on my bottom lip, I sit and think about what I’ve just said.

  It is too much.

But I’m glad I have Ace by my side to help me through this.

“I know, I’m sorry I didn’t call last night. It’s just by the time we got back to the clubhouse it was sunrise, and… Julian, I just needed to breathe.”

He exhales placing his hand over mine. “I get it, I do. But Neve, you have a job here. One that’s currently in danger of being terminated. This filming is near the end, but if the production team thinks the movie will be hit head-on with bad press, they will recast without a second’s thought. That goes for you and Cindi. You both need to think about your associations.”

My stomach rolls at what he’s just said. “You want me to stop seeing Ace?”

He tilts his head. “I want you to make the right choice for your career.”

I stand up, shaking my head. “No. No, I won’t do it. He’s too important to me, Julian.”

He stands up, placing his hands on my shoulders peering into my eyes as they begin to water. “I know this hurts…”

“Hurts? He means something to me, Julian. He’s protected me without a moment’s hesitation. I should do the same for him.”

Julian exhales. “I thought you might say that.” He walks over to his briefcase, opens it, grabs something, then strides back. “Sit down,” he instructs. His tone is one definitely not to be messed with. So I do as he slides a folder to me. My stomach rolls as I dread whatever’s in the damn file.

  Files are never fucking good.

He exhales. “I didn’t want to have to resort to this, Neve, please know that.”

My eyes water, and a tear rolls down my cheek as I slowly open the file. On the front page is the words Background Check.

I glance up at him, he tilts his head as if he’s telling me to flip the page, so hesitantly, I do. On the top right-hand corner is a picture of Ace. My heart plummets through the pit of my stomach as I close my eyes letting out a sob. “Julian,” I whisper.

“I’m sorry, darling. It had to be done.”

My eyes close as I sniff. “I don’t want to read this.”

He exhales placing his hand on my knee. “Neve, I’m only doing this to help you.”

I glare at him. “This is not helping me, Julian… it’s breaking me.”

His somber expression lets me know he’s genuine. “Sometimes we need to be broken, just so we can be put back together.”

I scoff. “That’s bullshit, and you know it.”

  “Just re
ad it, Neve.”

Slumping my body, I take a deep breath and glance at the file to see a range of things. It details Ace’s childhood. Military father. Inattentive mother. Ace was a troubled child. Multiple court appearances. All thrown out by the same judge. Then it goes into detail that his aunt was sleeping with that very judge, and Ace’s older cousin, Maya, is actually an illegitimate child of the judge and Ace’s aunt.

Ace’s father bribed the judge using Ace’s cousin, Maya, as leverage to get Ace off charges laid against him.

Ace doesn’t know that fact to this day. He thought he was lucky at the time. He should have been convicted for at least two of his charges. One was when he was a juvenile, but one was just after he turned eighteen.

  He could have done time.

  “Shit.”

  My stomach rolls.

  I feel sick.

  “Why, Julian?”

He exhales. “I think you know why, darling.”

Shaking my head, tears flow down my cheeks. “No. Julian, you wouldn’t.”

“The thing is, my job is to look after you. Your health, your career, you as a person. If I see something that’s hindering any of those things, I need to act, and if you won’t help yourself, then I need to do something to help you.”

Standing as bile creeps up my throat, I glare at him. “You’d really release all this shit just to get Ace away from me?”

He grimaces. “It’s not that simple.”

“What does that mean?” I yell at him.

“I’m not the one who found this information, someone came to me with it. I’m keeping their mouth shut for now, but darling, if you don’t keep your distance from Ace, people will look into him. They’ll go searching, and this shit will find its way out. If someone has already found it…” his eyes soften as he dips his head at me, “… others will, too.”
