Tough Cute Omega

“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” Nero said, and Reese could hear the smirk in his voice. “See you at the salon.”
And Reese wasn’t Tiberius’s Boi anymore, was he?
What was he exactly? Tiberius hadn’t talked about his intentions. He’d only asked Reese to return to the Academy with him.
“Reese.”
He turned at the sound of his name, and Tiberius took Reese’s chin in his hand and kissed him. It was soft and yet demanding, gentle and yet hot. It left Reese panting when it ended.
“What now?” he asked, breathless. He’d also left his room, hadn’t paid for this month. He had no place here.
“We’re going up to our room,” Tiberius said. “To eat and rest.”
To Tiberius’s room.
Their room.
“Are you sure?” Reese still felt unsure himself—not about wanting to be with Tiberius, because that was all he wanted, but about coming back here, about his place in Tiberius’s life.
His lover’s gaze was steady and calm. It was as if he could read all the questions in Reese’s eyes, hear the lingering fear in his voice. “I am sure.”
And that was that.
***
Eating, sleeping, sex.
Rinse and repeat.
And Reese still didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t depend on Tiberius for everything. He was healthy, didn’t seem to have any problems. He still had a brain.
He’d love to get that diploma, despite everything. He wanted to continue his studies. After the babies came, he could finish the degree, and then get that job.
He hadn’t told Tiberius the entire plan yet, but if he’d understood correctly from Tiberius’s explanations, his father had disowned him for refusing to dance to the family tune and to marry whoever his father chose for him.
They’d both need to work, most probably. All the more reason to continue with his studies.
If he was allowed to. If his scholarship hadn’t been canceled already.
“Talk to the dean, then,” Tiberius suggested, ruffling Reese’s hair. “Ask for another chance. There’s still some time before the babies come. He seemed to think you’re smart, and rightly so.”
“He did? When did you talk to him about me?”
“When you left. I had to ask if he knew anything about it. You wouldn’t answer my calls or texts, so...” The bleakness in his alpha’s eyes was heartbreaking. I had to find you.”
“Ty...”
“Don’t ever do this to me again, Reese. Don’t leave me. And if you have to go, then tell me where you’re going. I don’t think I could live through this again.”
“I promise,” Reese whispered, ashamed that he’d doubted Tiberius so easily, that he’d let Tiberius’s father convince him that his alpha had been lying to him. “I promise, Ty. I...”
“What is it?” Tiberius leaned in for another kiss. “What’s on your mind?”
“I... I love you,” Reese blurted out. “I think I have loved you from the start.”
Tiberius grinned from ear to ear, dark eyes twinkling. “I’ve waited for you to say those words. Now, I think this is cause for celebration.”
“... it is?” Reese gave him a suspicious look. Knowing Tiberius...
“Yes. I’m certain.” Tiberius reached for the hem of Reese’s overlarge T-shirt, slipping his hands underneath. He slid them over Reese’s belly and reached up to tug on his nipples, making him gasp. He winked. “Time for some fireworks...”

“Would you look at that. You two finally managed to leave the room? Or did you fall out of the bed?” Marcus was smoking outside the alphas salon, chestnut hair standing up, face lost in a cloud of white smoke. “Has Tiberius’s cock finally declared defeat?”
“Fuck you, Marcus,” Tiberius growled. “My dick is never defeated.”
“Always holding the banner up high, huh?” Marcus chuckled.
“Are you high?”
“Nah, just drunk.” He patted his pockets, then produced a small silver flask. “Want a drink?”
“No, thank you.”
“Of course not, daddy Tiberius. You’re a responsible man now.”
“You okay, Marcus?”
“Peachy.”
Reese glanced at his alpha. He looked kind of worried about his friend. From Reese’s experience around the salon, Marcus was often drunk, so that wasn’t what worried Tiberius, probably. He’d have to ask him later.
“Let’s go inside. We want to eat something.”
“Eating for two and all that. Or is it for three?” Marcus nodded at Reese’s belly. Although it wasn’t that big yet, Reese felt that everyone in the Academy was staring at him.
They probably were.
And he couldn’t deny that he ate like... like a wolf carrying pups. He was hungry all the time. It was annoying.
As if on cue, his stomach grumbled.
Both Tiberius and Marcus started to laugh, even as Reese’s face flamed.
“So damn cute,” Tiberius muttered, hauling Reese against his side and dropping an arm over his shoulders. “Come on, Reese, let’s go in and leave this grumpy dog here.”
“Hey, I didn’t say I wasn’t coming with you,” Marcus protested and threw his cigarette to the ground, stubbing it out with the toe of his boot. “Let’s go.”
Tiberius stopped an omega on the way to the usual corner to order food, and they stood there for some moments, deciding if to order extra fries with their burgers, and Tiberius insisting that they had to have a big salad for Reese who had to eat healthy.
“I’m a wolf,” Reese grumbled, “not a rabbit. What I need is meat, not greens.”
“Greens are good for you,” Tiberius said, grinning, poking him lightly in the belly—and making him gasp, when one of the babies kicked. “Heh. I felt that.”
“You and me both,” Reese muttered, rubbing the spot.
“Baby kicking?” Marcus looked mildly interested—or amused, it was hard to tell. “When’s your doc appointment?”
“Tomorrow.”
“Good, good...” He seemed distracted, a slight frown on his face, and when Reese turned to look what had drawn the alpha’s attention, he saw an omega heading their way.
It was a pretty, blond omega, with chin-length hair and rosy cheeks. He seemed to glow somehow.
“Jace...” Marcus’s eyes glittered with interest and something more that Reese couldn’t place as the omega approached, carrying a small package in his hands.
“Hi! I heard you hurt your leg and I brought you something.” The omega held out the small package, smiling. Then his smile fell.
Reese glanced back at Marcus and found that the alpha’s face had gone hard, like a mask of stone. “What’s this?”
The omega lowered his eyes. “It’s a cake. I made it myself. I heard you like honey. It’s a honey cake.”
“I’m not a bear, to eat honey,” Marcus growled.
The omega—Jace, was it?—took an instinctive step back, the package clutched in his hands. “Marcus...”
There was something like desperation in his eyes, Reese thought, and he wondered why as the omega turned around and fled.
Why would a pretty omega be trying to be nice to an asshole like Marcus?
***
“So what’s the story between the two of them?” Reese whispered later, curled up beside his alpha on a leather settee in the salon, devouring his burger and fries—and okay, the salad, too. “Marcus and Jace.”
Marcus had left, right after the encounter with the blond omega, without a word about where he was going. Something about it all hurt Reese’s heart.
“Half the Academy wants to get into Jace’s pants,” Tiberius said, “but he apparently wants Marcus only. It’s the second time he approaches him, bringing gifts. He’s Courting him.”
That was bold, for an omega.
“And why doesn’t Marcus respond? Jace is lovely.”
“You’re so much lovelier.”

Ty, be serious.”
“I am, love. So yeah, Jace is lovely, but Marcus for some reason never dates, so... there’s that.”
He never dates? He’s always sleeping with an omega or other.
“That’s what I mean. He’s a boy-whore. He never sleeps with anyone twice. He doesn’t want a relationship.”
“Why not?”
“I don’t know. He doesn’t talk much about himself. And lately, he’s been acting a bit weird, after the accident where he wounded his leg. It’s like he’s lost all interest in omegas and sex. Don’t look at me like that, Reese. We alphas like to fuck around until we’ve found our Mate, you know that.”
“And this Jace...” Reese discreetly covered a burp. His stomach was weird right now, craving food and yet never quite settled when he ate. “Has Marcus slept with him?”
“No fucking clue. I mean, maybe. He usually avoids omegas he’s slept with.”
“He’s a bit of an ass, then?”
“He is. And also a good guy. I know, it makes no sense. Now eat the rest of your salad.”
Reese groaned.
***
The doc appointment made Reese nervous. He guessed it had to be the same for all pregnant omegas, seeing their babies on screen for the first time, finding out for sure that the babies were okay, how far along they were, and yeah, how many they were.
He fiddled with the hem of his hoodie that was stretched way too tight over his round belly, thinking of the pregnancy clothes he and Tiberius had ordered online and hoping they’d arrive soon, thinking of Marcus and Jace, of just about anything, really, but the appointment.
Or trying to.
He licked his lips. His mouth was dry.
“Hey.” Tiberius took his hand, squeezed it and smiled. “It will be okay.”
Reese nodded, biting his lower lip.
“Soon we can go back home so that I can have my wicked way with you.”
Frowning, Reese opened his mouth to tell Tiberius he was a sex-maniac, when his name was called.
“That’s us,” Tiberius said, looking like an excited puppy. “We’re going to meet our babies!”
“Not yet, silly. Just see them. You do know what an ultrasound is, right?”
Chuckling, Tiberius jumped to his feet and hauled Reese up and after him, toward the nurse beckoning for them from an open door. “I know.”
The doc was a cheery older beta with black-rimmed glasses and stubble on his cheeks. He smiled at them when they entered and gestured at the examination table.
“Reese? And the alpha father, I assume? Let’s get this show on the road! Reese, please lie down on the table and lift your hoodie for me.”
Swallowing hard, Reese pulled his hand free from Tiberius’s and headed to the table. He lay down and pulled the hem of his hoodie up. “Doc?”
“Be right there.” The doctor closed the file he’d been looking at, and went over to the table to fiddle with the ultrasound machine. “So how far along are we?”
“Two months.”
“Why didn’t you come in sooner?”
“I...” Reese glanced over at Tiberius who was standing there, looking anxious for the first time. “I don’t know.”
“I see,” said the doctor. He probably had all sorts of cases every day. “Let’s have a look then, shall we?”
Reese nodded, his heart pounding.
The doc grabbed a metal rod thing and a tube of something in the other. He smiled—but as a rule, you shouldn’t trust doctor smiles, so... “This gel may feel a little cold,” he warned and pumped some out on Reese’s belly.
It did feel cold.
He shivered.
“Now let’s have a look...” The doc moved the rod in the gel, spreading it all over, and pressed a couple of buttons under the screen on top of the machine. “Here we go.”
Tiberius had moved closer to the bed and now stood beside Reese. Reese lifted his hand toward him, needing reassurance, and Tiberius immediately gripped it in both his.
Strange blobs appeared and disappeared on the screen.
Then the image stilled, though something was still pulsing. A weird ticking sound filled the room, like a small clock.
“Here we have one baby,” the doctor said. “Looks good. Strong heartbeat.”
“Oh god.” Unexpectedly, Reese’s eyes filled with tears. What was wrong with him? He wiped at his eyes with his free hand. “He’s okay?”
“Looks just fine. Now let’s see...” He moved the rod on the other side of Reese’s belly, more strange shapes shifting on the screen until the image stopped again and the ticking round came back.
“Is this another one?” Reese breathed.
“Yes, here we have another baby. Also looking good.”
“Oh, thank fuck,” Tiberius said with feeling.
And Reese had almost believed the confidence the alpha had exuded. Turned out Tiberius had been as stressed as Reese about this appointment.
“Two babies,” the doctor said after moving the rod around a bit more. “Congratulations, fathers. You’re having twins.”
Reese groaned. “I just knew it.”
“You’re indeed two months along, from the looks of it. You’ll have to take prenatal vitamins. I’ll give you a prescription.” The doctor pushed a few more buttons on the machine and the printer whirred to life on his desk. “We need to schedule your next visits, one every two weeks for now until you’re in your final month. Just three months to go.”
Whoa. It was finally sinking in. In three months, they’d have two babies. “That’s... soon.”
The doctor laughed as he went to take the print-out of their babies’ pictures and handed them over. “Trust me, by the beginning of your fifth and final month you’ll be so uncomfortable you’ll be begging the babies to come out.”
Awesome...
Chapter Twenty-Three: Tiberius
Twins. They were having twins. And the babies were well.
Three months to go.
Holy shit. That was soon. He had to buy cribs. And baby clothes. And... Oh shit, he was going to be a father.
He needed to provide for Reese and the babies. He had his trust fund, so they’d be fine for now, but doctor appointments cost, and babies cost. He wasn’t stupid. It could well be that he’d need to abandon the Academy and find a job to support his new family.
He’d be happy to. He’d do anything for his omega and their kids.
One thing at a time, though, he reminded himself as he drove a hyper Reese back to the Academy. He hadn’t realized just how worried his omega had been about the babies not being okay. Now he was all smiles. He was prettier than ever with that happy glow on his face, and Tiberius couldn’t wait to kiss that smile, and that body, and say hi to the babies. If it was weird to be talking to his omega’s belly, he didn’t give a damn.
He dragged a beaming Reese out of the car and into the Academy, into the alpha building and up to his floor. The moment the entered the elevator, he pressed Reese back against the mirror wall and kissed the hell out of him.
By the time the doors opened, Reese was panting hard and Tiberius was diamond hard and close to coming.
Damn.
“Ty...” Reese murmured as Tiberius dragged him once more by the hand to their room and fought with the lock. “I just...”
“What?” The door opened and he hauled his Mate inside, then kicked the door closed, kissing him. “You have,” he whispered between kisses, “no fucking idea,” kiss, kiss, “how much I love you. And want you.”
“I have a good idea about that,” Reese said laughing, as Tiberius’s cock pressed against his belly.
“God, Reese...”
He couldn’t wait to reach the bed, he wanted his omega now. Pulling a chair from the table, he sat down and shoved Reese’s pants down before pulling him on his lap. “Come here.”
“Ty...”
“Want me?”
“Hell, yes.” Reese reached down, unzipping Tiberius’s pants. “Give it to me.”
Tiberius groaned when his lover pulled his cock out, hard and trembling, so ready. Reese’s cock was hard, too, standing up proudly against his swollen belly.
“So perfect, Reese...”
Reese stroked him, his grip tentative but strong, coaxing such pleasure that Tiberius had to stop him. Reese’s blue eyes glanced up when Tiberius grabbed his hand, stilling it. “What is it? Am I not doing it right?”
“You’re way too good with your hands,” Tiberius said, smirking at the flush on his omega’s cheeks, “but I need to be inside you when I come.”
Reese moaned his assent, and then grunted when Tiberius guided the head of his cock to his omega’s wet hole, nudging the entrance.
He pushed inside and Reese hissed, putting his hands on Tiberius’s shoulders and rising a little so that Tiberius could sink all the way inside him.
“Ty...” He bit his lip as Tiberius rocked into him, a moan escaping him.
“Ride me,” Tiberius commanded hoarsely. “Ride me, lover.”
“Oh god...” Reese lifted himself and sank back down, moaning when Tiberius’s hard length slipped back inside. “So good...”
It was. Fucking great. So good that Tiberius couldn’t keep still and started rocking up into Reese. They rocked together, groaning and cursing, until Tiberius’s sight started to sparkle and his cock to jerk and he was coming hard inside Reese, gasping his name.
“Oh god!” Vaguely he respired Reese clenching around him, coaxing another spasm of pleasure from his cock, and he moaned.
“Love you, babe,” he managed, struggling to catch his breath.
“Love you, too,” Reese whispered, slumping against Tiberius, the easy now admission sweet.
It made Tiberius smile.

Later on, leaving Reese to sleep, something he did a lot of these days, he headed to the salon to grab a bite. He was famished. Good sex did that to you.
He found Marcus inside, sipping at Whiskey and looking thoughtful. “Hey, my man.”
“Look who the cat dragged in. Where have you been?”
“Doctor appointment for Reese.”
“Did you have the ultrasound?”
Tiberius grinned. “We did.”
Marcus chuckled. “Look at you, all smiles. Baby and omega dad are fine, I take it?”
