Tempting Her

Page 5

by Chloe Peterson

“Yes, yes. This is okay. Please…”

Hot breath fanned over Carly’s neck, and she felt goosebumps spread across her skin. Robin slid her other hand beneath her, so that Carly’s body was entirely framed and held by her arms. Her hand pushed under her shirt to squeeze Carly’s other breast, and Carly felt her nipples harden at Robin’s slow, careful ministrations. Her hips started to move again, rutting against her. Robin’s lips pressed against her neck, and as her thrusts grew stronger, more excited, her thigh slid between Carly’s to grind up against her center. Her mouth opened against Carly’s skin as she bit lightly at her, her tongue swirling to taste Carly’s skin as her teeth bit and tugged gently. Carly whimpered.

“Please, Robin,” she whispered. “I need more.”

  “Okay,” Robin breathed. “Okay.”

Robin suddenly flipped over, so that she was hovering over Carly, pressing her down into the bed.

She lowered her head to suck on Carly’s breast, and Carly moaned as Robin’s teeth sank into her soft skin, her tongue flicking back and forth over her nipple. Carly dragged her hand through Robin’s hair, wanting to press her tighter against her, but with a low growl Robin grabbed her hands and pinned her wrists above her head. She had to stretch in order to reach, and her breasts were in Carly’s face. Carly focused on them, lifting her head to lick at the soft globes of flesh, and Robin let out a surprised whimper.

“Fuck, Carly,” she whispered, as the woman sucked kisses into the underside of her breast. “Yes, babe, just like that.”

Carly whimpered, and Robin pulled away so that her breast fell from Carly’s mouth.

  “What else do you like?”

Carly licked her lips. “I want to taste you.”

Robin moaned, and quickly shifted forward to lower herself onto Carly’s face, facing the length of her body. Carly whimpered, feeling her pussy dampen, desperate to be filled as her mouth opened. She had never been so hungry to taste anything before. As Robin settled over her, Carly ran her tongue across her slit to press fully into her hole, swirling it around before pulling it out to drag against Robin’s clit. She shook her head to make her tongue drag rapidly over the other girl’s pleasure button. Robin groaned loudly, gasping for breath, and Carly felt the muscles of her stomach tighten, her own body craving stimulation, as Robin’s hips pushed down against her mouth.

One of Robin’s hands moved slowly down Carly’s chest so that she could squeeze at Carly’s breasts, rubbing at her shoulders and collarbone along the way. As she tugged and flicked at her nipples, Carly moaned, the taste of Robin hot on her tongue, sweet, tangy and heady, all at once.

Robin’s other hand slid from Carly’s chest to the junction of her legs. She pressed one finger against the tight ring of muscle at the entrance to Carly’s hole as she pressed her tongue down on Robin’s clit, and Carly let the vibrations of her desperate moan brush against Robin’s pussy lips. When Robin pressed that finger fully inside her, pumping it in and out, and then adding another, it took everything Carly had to keep sucking on Robin’s clit rather than scream.

Robin slipped another finger into Carly, and between her legs Carly keened, her toes curling and her hands straining against the bedsheets even as she circled Robin’s clit with her tongue before dipping it into her hole.

“Fuck, yes, Carly,” Robin moaned. “That’s it, babe, you’re doing so good for me. God, you feel so good, babe.”

Carly moaned in agreement, pressing her tongue back against Robin’s clit, and just seconds later she was coming with a shout, her entire body seizing as pleasure washed over her. Carly could taste her pleasure on her tongue, hot and thick and all over. Robin slipped her fingers out of Carly’s pussy, making her whine as she was left empty and wanting.

“Fuck, Robin, please,” Carly pleaded. “Fuck, I need you.”

“God, I love hearing you beg for me,” Robin murmured. “Okay, okay. Keep touching me, babe.”

Carly immediately went back to slipping her tongue into Robin’s hole, as Robin lowered herself to bury her face between Carly’s legs. They licked and sucked at each other, moaning and writhing and gasping, until they came together, gasping and tensing as pleasure rolled over them. Afterward, they collapsed next to each other on the bed, panting.

“That was, um.” Robin coughed. “Um.”

“Yeah.” Carly stared up at the ceiling from where she lay against the pillows, her fiery hair spread out around the pillows. She blinked, and stretched, languidly, her eyes squeezing shut.

“You called me babe,” Carly said suddenly, a grin spreading over her lips. “That’s a pet name.”

Robin laughed, surprised. “Oh, shut up.”

“I’m going to take a shower.” Carly laughed, rolling off the bed. She looked at Robin and bit her lip. Then she grinned. “Join me?”

Robin stared at her, shocked, and then laughed. “Minx,” she teased, throwing a pillow at the redhead. “As much as I would love to, I’m hoping to speak to Mr. Jung today. I want to get the papers ready.”

“Fair enough. Your loss. Babe.” Carly winked at her and swept into the bathroom.

  7

Robin smiled after her, and then leaned over the bed to grab the files Carly had left on her nightstand. As she dragged the papers towards her, she knocked Carly’s phone off the table with a thud. She swore lightly and leaned over the edge of the bed to grab it.

The fall had clicked the phone screen open, and without meaning to Robin’s eyes flicked over the unopened text.

Hey, Carly, I hear you’re engaged to the cold wicked witch. What the hell is that about?

Robin’s heart sank, and for a moment her mind went blank as she read the text over again. Me, she thought vaguely. I’m the wicked witch. She clicked the phone off and put it on the nightstand. She could hear Carly singing in the shower, and tears filled her eyes before she angrily wiped them away.

You knew this wasn’t real, she told herself, even as a pain thudded dully in her chest and her hands shook in her lap. You knew she didn’t care about you.

She took a deep breath and went to her suitcase to change into loose pants and a light blouse. Then, she grabbed her documents and the notepad from the hotel desk.

Went downstairs for breakfast, she wrote. She tossed the note on the bed and grabbed her hotel key, letting the door slam behind her as she clenched her jaw and forced herself not to cry.

Robin was on her second cup of coffee when Carly came downstairs, her hair still wet and her clothes rumpled. She slid into the seat across from Robin and made a face at her.

“You left me,” she complained. “That was rude.”

Robin took a sip from her coffee and kept her eyes focused on the documents.

“I wanted to be sure to get these done,” she said coolly. “We are here on the job, you know.”

Carly bit her lip and looked down. “Right. Of course. I’m going to get some food from the buffet, do you want anything?”

  “No thank you.”

  “...Okay.”

Robin squeezed her eyes shut when Carly left, and sucked in a breath before running her hand over her face and focusing on her papers.

The two women ate in almost total silence. Robin could feel Carly watching her, her face twisted in concern, but she ignored it. A cold, wicked witch repeated, over and over again, in her head.

  “Robin! Carly!”

The two women jerked at the sound of their names and looked up to see Mr. Jung walking towards them, smiling and waving, a pretty young woman at his side. Her face was heavily done up, her hair curled to perfection. Her eyes crinkled kindly when she smiled at them.

“Good morning,” Robin said. “How are you? I have the deal documents here, if you’d like to–”

“Oh, later, later.” Mr. Jung waved her offer away. “Today, you have fun. This is my soon to be daughter in law, Vera. She is having her bachelorette party today.”

“I’d love it if you two would join us,” Vera said with a frie
ndly grin. “We’re not doing anything crazy – just having some drinks – but it’s an open bar, and the caterer is great. It’s out on the beach, too.”

Carly glanced at Robin, who looked unsure. Their eyes met, and Robin’s jaw clenched.

“We’d love to,” she said, responding to Vera’s smile with her own. “Thank you so much for having us.”

Vera clapped her hands excitedly and reached across the table to grab both their wrists.

“Great! Come on. We’re starting now. Day drinking!” She started dragging them to the elevators, and Robin began to pull away.

  “Oh, my papers–!”

“No, no, I have them,” Mr. Jung said. “You girls go. Have a good time.”

Vera pulled them to the elevator and left them standing outside. “Go get your bathing suits,” she said, “and then come join us. See you soon!” She darted away.

Carly and Robin stared after her.

“She is so much better than her husband,” Carly said, and Robin whistled low under her breath.

  “I’ll say.”

As they strode across the sand to the tent Vera’s party was in, Carly played with the gleaming ring on her finger. She glanced at Robin, who still wouldn’t look at her.

“Robin,” she tried, hating the way her voice shook, “is everything okay?”

“Of course,” Robin said smoothly. Her voice lacked any emotion, and Carly hated it. It was like she had turned entirely back into the emotionless robot from the office, instead of the sweet and slightly awkward woman she had come to truly care about. To care about a lot. She hated Robin acting like this and she held back tears as she looked back down at the beautiful ring.

Once they had joined the women it didn’t take long for Robin to leave her. Carly stood by the bar, alone, watching as Robin flitted from person to person, her networking face in place as she schmoozed everybody. Carly sighed and looked down at her phone as she sipped on a margarita. She opened Ryan’s text again and stared down at it. Anger pulsed through her. But now she didn’t even know who she was mad at more – Ryan, for acting like a jerk about Robin, or Robin, for suddenly distancing herself.

She’s not like that, Carly finally typed back. Please don’t talk about her like that. She sent the text and looked down at her drink.

“Who are you texting?” Robin said, suddenly appearing beside her, and Carly jumped.

“Oh,” she said. “Uh, no one important.”

“Really?” Robin said, cocking an eyebrow. “Hm.” She waved the bartender over and asked for a Shirley Temple.

“Hey, you two.” Carly and Robin turned, and Carly tensed. Grace was standing in front of them, a cool look in her eyes as she smiled at Robin. “Enjoying the party?”

“Oh, yes,” Robin said, and Carly whipped her head to look at her. The brunette was smiling at Grace, and Carly felt anger flood over her.

“Robin, can I talk to you?” she bit out.

  Robin looked at her, confused.

  “Now?”

“Yes, now. Alone.” She grabbed Robin’s hand and pulled her away from the tent down towards the surf. Robin followed without struggling, but her hand was slack in Carly’s.

“That was kind of rude,” she drawled as Carly finally stopped. A wave crashed on the shore, the water rushing to swirl around their feet. “We should go back and apologize.”

“No, we shouldn’t. Robin, what happened? This morning, we–” she broke off, and blushed. “We had something, and then I get out of the shower and you won’t even look at me. What happened?”

Robin stared at Carly, taking in her watery eyes and trembling hands. She looked away.

“I don’t know why you’re wasting time talking to me when you could go and talk to Ryan,” she said. “I’m sure he has plenty of things to say about me to you.”

The text. She saw the text. Carly’s eyes closed as her heart sank.

“Robin,” she started. “Please, you have to believe me, I didn’t mean – I never said–”

“Oh, but I think you did.” Robin turned to look at her again, and her own eyes were filled with tears. “I’ve had to fight for everything I have, Carly. My dad died when I was seven and my mom ignored me until I started making money. All that stuff she told you? I never swam. I was in math club. And it doesn’t matter anymore, but I’m not some stone cold bitch who chooses to have no emotions, okay? I’ve just never had the chance to feel like you do. Until now, this weekend with you. And look where that got me.” She bit her lip and looked out towards the ocean. She was trembling.

Carly stared at her, her jaw hanging open.

“Robin, please, believe me,” she pleaded. “That thing with Ryan it wasn’t – I’m done with him now. I don’t care about him.”

“Oh, right. Why, because you care about me now?” Robin wiped at her eyes. “You don’t have to lie to me, Carly. I know I forced you into this. I don’t care anymore. We’re here now, Mr. Jung will sign the papers, and when we go home we can act like this never happened.”

Carly grit her teeth. “That’s not fair,” she argued. “I was there for you when you needed me. I’m here now.” She stepped forward. “I’m here now, and I’m telling you that you’re important to me. God knows why,” she added, wrapping her arms around herself. “It’s not like you care about me, either. You don’t know a single thing about me, Robin, and you never did. You never even asked why I agreed to do this.”

Robin frowned. “What do you mean? About the day off?”

“Yeah, about that.” Carly looked away. “I’m sorry, okay? I should have known better than to let myself get caught up in this.” She started to turn away, and Robin moved after her.

  “Carly–”

“No, Robin. Forget about it.” Carly walked away, and Robin stood in the surf, staring after her.

Robin rubbed at her face, her elbows braced on the bar. An untouched screwdriver sat in front of her, and she rubbed at her red eyes, raw from crying.

“Robin?” a voice said. She jumped and turned.

“Oh, Mr. Jung,” she said, her entire face going red at how much of a mess she must look like right now. “Oh, I’m so sorry, I–”

“No worries. I just thought I’d come keep you company.”

She bit her lip and gave him a sad smile. “Company would be nice.”

He took the barstool next to her. “I must admit, though, that wasn’t the only reason. I also have these for you.” He set a folder down in front of her, and Robin’s eyes widened.

  “Oh, the deal – I–”

“All signed and ready,” Mr. Jung said, smiling. “Congratulations, Robin. We are now business partners.” He held his hand out, and Robin shook it, her mind hazy. “Now, why don’t you tell me what’s going on?”

Robin sighed. “My, uh. My fiancée. We got in a fight and it… it doesn’t look good. I messed up. I didn’t take care of her. I didn’t give her the attention she deserves.”

Mr. Jung shrugged. “Well, go fix it.”

  Robin blinked. “What?”

“You heard me. I respect you, Robin. I can see that you are an incredible woman capable of many things. And one thing you can always do is apologize.” Mr. Jung smiled and patted Robin’s shoulder before stepping away. “Good luck, okay?”

Carly was sitting on the edge of the bed, staring at her ring as tears fell down her face to her hands. All she wanted to do was go home and curl up next to her mom, but she knew she couldn’t. Some part of her wouldn’t leave until she and Robin finished what they came for.

Suddenly, the door crashed open and Robin stumbled in. Carly jumped up and stared at her.

  “Robin, what–”

“Why do you need that day off?” Robin asked.

  Carly frowned. “What?”

“I want to know,” Robin said. “Why do you need that day off?”

Carly stared at her, then sighed. She sank back down on the bed, and after a moment Robin sat beside her.

  “My
mom is getting surgery that day,” she said, finally. “She’s having a brain tumor removed. The doctors say there’s a high success rate, but–” she hiccupped a sob. “I just really want to be there with her.”

Robin stared at her, tears starting to flow down her own face. She reached out and took Carly’s hand. “You can have three weeks off,” she said. “I promise. Take care of your mom, and yourself. Take as much time as you need.”

  Carly shuddered. “Robin…”

“And,” Robin continued, taking a deep breath, “if you’d like, if you need… I’d like to go with you.” She squeezed Carly’s hand, and rubbed her thumb over the engagement ring. “I want to meet my girlfriend’s mom.”

Carly stared at her, and a shaky smile spread over her face. “I think I’d like that.”

Later that night, after holding each other and whispering soft words to one another, Robin and Carly started to move together, their hands glancing over each other and their lips locking. Carly leaned against the headboard in her shirt and skirt as Robin grabbed a vibrator from her suitcase, which Carly giggled at.

Robin leaned forward and dragged the vibrator up Carly’s leg, making her shiver. Her stomach was clenching with nervousness, but something else too. Something like a painful, impatient wanting, and she bit back her desire to tell Robin to hurry up.

“Here we go,” Robin whispered, and then a soft humming was in her ears and thrumming against the inside of her leg. She shifted a little with a soft giggle. It kind of tickled, even as Carly felt a rush of wetness at the thought of Robin sliding that inside her. Robin moved it up, and then it was against the folds of her sex, and Carly’s eyelids flickered with pleasure. That felt so good. And then she felt it press against her clit and Carly had to bite her lip painfully hard to keep from making a noise.
