resources in order to serve the well-being of the whole of humanity, which History would tragically demonstrate to be wrong. This alliance corresponded to their particular way of pacifying the superbeast, but deep down this attitude was strictly attached to the classical naivety of Prometheus, and at the end of the day, the Titans themselves became slaves of their own technical and cybernetic creations, and irreversibly exposed themselves to the abyssal power of the SuperDragon one way or another. “Gregorio the victimist” corresponded to one of those Titans of the high-tech industry who had also been defeated in their private lives by the creepy-crawly creature of the depths. He worked as an aeronautical engineer, and considered himself to be a very intelligent person who in no way could believe in such things as the “SuperDragon”; he rather was convinced that everything has a technical, scientific and political solution, and that is was necessary for the entire citizenry to become formed and educated in science and technology so they could vote for the best politicians with high doses of rationality, for the good of humanity…

Yet Arthur was quite convinced that he could never defeat the SuperDragon at the polls… He was forced to take immediate action in order to ambush the beast and kill it. He felt deeply obliged to save his princess from its continuous stalking and intimidation…

-Don´t worry my beloved… I´ll save your light from the realm of darkness -stated Arthur, looking at the young woman and emulating the classical discourses of El Quixote when appealing to Dulcinea…

The girl, a little embarrassed by this unexpected situation, yet immediately straitjacketed by her professionalism and approached Arthur clear-cut…

-All right, Mr Gonzalez… Actually it has been assigned to me the task of saving you…

And when listening to these words, Arthur kept beholding undaunted the lady, considering her as the most beautiful celestial cupola of his Temple.

  Seeking the Creator

Some say that whoever has nothing to lose has also the opportunity of gaining it all… No matter if this statement is true or not, the thing is that our recently incarnated Quixote, Arthur, was however acknowledging that the fact of breaking loose from all false identifications and images allowed him to substantially modify the perception and links to the most direct reality. These non-attachments, besides, were accompanied by strange phenomena, like the sort of compelling need on the part of Arthur to release from the sight of his roommates or those of the T.V. set, and instead end up spontaneously looking at the clouds through the windows. Before his eyes, thousands of different configurations emerged overlaying such clouds: cats, dogs, monsters, dragons… And Arthur immediately noticed that in the case of his new direct experience the difference between chaos and order was always a matter of perspective, even though he didn´t have the slightest clue if he was in control of the perspective or rather if the perspective was capriciously playing with his perception faculties themselves.

-Not at all. Absolutely wrong. You are mistaken -immediately stated Gregorio, speaking to me, the creator of this story.

I hope the reader can excuse me… In general, whenever I write, I tend to be very strict with the characters and situations, and in general I can´t allow any sort of character, in this case Gregorio, to capriciously meddle in my narration and start questioning the postulates that I state, which in no way are actually “mine” but are rather inherent to the Doctrine. As you'll understand perfectly well, I don´t have the time nor the intention to discuss such insults, out of respect for all of you, my dear readers…

-No, no… Forget all that crap… Are you telling me that the fact of that chair being or not a “chair” is a matter of perspective? Come on! Give me a break! -argued Gregorio, while looking at the ceiling when talking.

Sorry once again my dear readers. It seems that Gregorio doesn´t want to leave me in peace during this chapter, so I´ll have to momentarily satisfy his demands so that he can allow me to keep on telling the story of the man we´re actually interested in: Arthur…

-Gregorio -I had to communicate to him using the old trick of directing his own thoughts- From a human perspective limited to the 21st century I agree that that is a chair. But please allow me to adopt now the perspective of an eagle: right now that is no longer a “chair” but a formless set of wood that I can´t actually identify. And however… Sitting upon the chair I can clearly identify a little diseased sheep, my favorite prey, that has temporarily incarnated as human… Oh my gosh! I´ve just realized that the sheep is you Gregorio!…

For the third time I apologize to my dear readers. I´m very sorry about the interruption, but nevertheless it seems that I have finally managed to counteract the irreverence of Gregorio, and right now he has started to watch T.V… During occasions like these when human ignorance becomes subversive, nothing better than demonstrating to those members of the human species that reality is not what is supposed to be, in order to allow fear to keep straight the direction of their thought. But as previously mentioned, there are also other realities, other forms of freedom, and other worlds in this world like those that Arthur was already experiencing, which transcend such thoughts, categories and coercions… So let´s get back to the story of our hero…

In spite of the fact that Arthur was waging a powerful battle against many monsters with a lot of courage and bravery, there still existed a rigid chain that very painfully and strongly unbalanced his links to reality, and that he had no idea how to break. Each time he thought of this chain, he immediately thought of a rigid chain that was introduced through his body and that locked his heart with a key, then he thought of a pack of beer; this latter thought chained him to the living-room couch, then to the cirrhosis, and then this thought connected him to the most solid of all realities: his hospital bed.

Which was then the chain of thoughts that burdened him to the bed and didn´t allow him to attain his wished-for free fly? It consisted in the bitchy pain in the ass he was unable to release from his Temple: the mortgage.

The mere thought about the mortgage induced in Arthur painful feelings of fear and anxiety that immediately worsened his nervous reactions, and these reactions then worsened the recovery from his set of diseases… And of course, he couldn´t just get an imaginary submachine gun and shoot at the mortgage as he successfully did to all other virtual identifications of cyberspace, since his mortgage could have definitely been built upon a lie, but in no case was it anything virtual. To shoot against it would be like pulling out his own heart alive, to shoot at his own liver and tear violently his stomach ulcer…

In the Doctrine it is emphasized once and again that the Solar Warrior candidate shall always encounter issues of this sort where are the sacrificial value of the practitioner are put to the test, and there are no techniques nor methods to make such quantum change easier.

Arthur was looking through the window and realized that it was very challenging to determine if the specific configurations of the clouds were there, or if he was actually putting them there, and whenever his deep anxieties and concerns arose, all sorts of monsters, serpents and giants arose in the clouds outside. Sometimes, very ephemerally, he succeeded in seeing gazelles and birds, yet these disappeared out of the perception very quickly and then were immediately swallowed by the previous monster scene… Even though philosophy wasn´t something Arthur was too much into, such phenomena of chaos and order mixing of the clouds made him recall a very popular quote of Nietzsche, the German thinker, that says: “there are no facts, only interpretations”… Would there be in that moment any positive and hopeful interpretation with regard to the whole of the facts that was surrounding Arthur´s convalescent life?

It is in the case of situations like these when men, unattaching from all virtual realities and returning to their selves, tend to the need of seeking support in a faith or religion. This is nothing new: Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, etc. By living those situations where “hope is the last thing to lose” is when is also affirmed “now the only thing remaining is to pray”… In
all these religions is expressed one way or another the idea of a “God” creator that determines it all, and that shall save those men who strictly obey a series of moral precepts… More recently, in modernity, were propagated more “New Age” mystical forms, and more or less in varied or veiled ways emerged in these teachings the potentialities of human beings in order to communion with supernatural forces. Arthur had been educated as a Christian by his parents, having also attended catechism when he was a teenager. Yet later he became much more interested in science, declaring himself as an atheist and becoming very skeptical with regard to any religious matter. He also believed in evolutionism and that modern man constituted the finality that the whole existence had aimed for since the times of the ape and the Big Bang. However, this belief became quite difficult for Arthur to maintain during those moments when he was realizing that his actual state constituted that of a hybrid between a man and an amoeba.

Thus, even atheists can´t totally release from such existential questions whenever they directly face the dilemma of death or destruction. And it wasn´t going to be different in the case of Arthur…
