I love the way these mountains rise up to greet the sunshine
The rolling hills still ageless in time
Etowah Valley, Blue Ridge mountain range
Chattahoochee memories flowing in my mind
I’ve been away to long I know
Seems I almost forgot what it’s like
To gaze up at the stars and watch a dream come true
To be one with the wilderness at night

The land, I call my own

To the country I will lay down my weary heart and soul
Someday I will settle in this town
Where every day is history, still every day’s brand new
And peace is nature’s sweetest sound
Have you ridden down the highways, why the scenery is fine
I’d love for you to take a trip with me

It’s been so long since I’ve seen your face
But I will remember it always
All the feelings we’ve locked up inside
Just waiting for the right time to be said
It’s only distance that keeps us apart
But you hold a place deep in my heart
And though loneliness sometimes creeps in
I just think of you and it fills up again

Are the nights so cold and lonely
That you find yourself staring out on broken dreams
Trying to find the laughter
And the beauty of the morning

And look at what I see
Did you know that you are beautiful
So young and so unique

Last night, I watched a full moon
Slowly glide across the sky
And the stars were shining peacefully
Like the sparkle in your eyes
