by Pablo David Garaguso

Now, outside of the shopping mall, and watching at the zombies walk pass you, you sit on the sidewalk and close your eyes enjoying the sun. You take a deep breath and imagine what can you do now, that you have inherited the world.

  YOU SURVIVED

Start from the beginning Section 1

  You are dead

The virus that created the zombie apocalypse takes over you, cell by cell. Your thoughts vanish away, your thirst for brains takes place.

The good news is that you are now part of the winning team, the one that will inherit the earth. For a moment you wonder what will you eat, once all the humans are gone. Oh well! You will cross that bridge when you come to it. After all, what does it matter. You’re dead anyway.

  Battle mode

To play in battle mode, you will need:

  A 6 sided die

  Pen and paper

A calculator would be nice (there is some math here)

  Player stats

Before you go into battle, first create your stats. For example:

  Stat Amount

  Life 100

  Attack 20

  Luck 30

Life always starts at 100. To get other values, roll the die and multiply the value by 10.

  Monster stats

Refer to the table in the appendix for each monster.

  Battle round

When a section starts with a monster warning, you enter a turn based battle mode. Roll the dice once for you and once for the monster. The higher number strikes first. Then, do the following in each turn:

Roll the die and multiply the number by 10. This is your luck percentage.

Apply the percentage to your luck. This makes your luck points.

Add the luck points to your attack points. This is your attack total

Decrease the monster’s life by your attack total

Do the same for the monster turn. The battle ends when the life of either one reaches zero or less.

  Example:

Using the player stats from above:

You roll the die, and get a 5. Then, 5 x 10 = 50%. This is your luck percentage.

Your luck points are 30. Then, 30 x 50% = 15. These are your luck points

Your attack is 20. Then, 20 + 15 = 35. This is your attack total.

Decrease the monster’s life by 35.

In each turn, the monster and you both receive damage. But, once the fight is done, you go back to your original stats, ready for the next combat.

  Alternative rules

These combat rules are just guidelines. You can make your own rules. Just keep it fun.
