The Wild Child

Standing at five feet even, Kia was a short petite light skinned girl. According to Jared, she had nice booty on her and he wanted to see what it was hitting for. Now, I don’t know if that was quite how he’d put it to her, but that was what he’d told me. Nevertheless, my girl was hyped, and I wasn’t gonna rain on her parade.

“What are you guys over there doing? Why didn’t you go home?” Nancy questioned, as I facetimed her.

I rolled my eyes, knowing the true motives behind her questions. She was giving Little Jah all the ass he could handle, and she couldn’t do that if I wasn’t at home. I was her girl but also her cover. She’d been messing with my brother and was seemingly becoming attached. I guess that was cool…if the feelings were mutual. Nancy was beautiful with her sandy brown hair, light skin, and blue eyes. Several boys vied for her attention, but she wanted Jahrein Junior. Jah, on the other hand, was screwing her because he could. I wouldn’t say that he had no interest in her at all, but not enough for her to open her legs on his command.

“I’m chilling with Kia. She wanted me to keep her company,” I answered.

Nancy pursed her lips. “Yeah, okay. I bet your sneaky butt is up to something.”

I gave her a devilish grin. “What makes you say that?”

“Jhyrah, who you cheesing on the phone with?”

I spun around, and spotted Jared moseying into the living room. I’d been so busy running my mouth that I didn’t realize that Kia had eased off to answer the door.

I placed a hand on my hip. “Is that any of your business?”

“Oh, what you say, Jhyrah?” Jared placed a hand to his ear. “You say you on the phone with your nigga?”

I frowned, trying to understand why he was misquoting me. His bullshit became clearer, once Jeremy came into view.

“Bro, she still playing with you. She facetiming a nigga, right now,” Jared carried on.

Kia stood giggling. He could probably tell her to go straight to hell, and her ditzy ass would probably laugh at that. She was too eager and boys like Jared would eat her alive. I’d watched the men in my family do this time after time.

Wearing a muscle shirt, Jordan basketball shorts, and Jordans, Jeremy was casually dressed, but that did nothing for my increased heart rate. Lifting his shirt, he rubbed his hard abs, as he licked his soft pink lips.

“Jhyrah, who you on the phone with?” he questioned like he was my daddy.

I stepped back, although he was more than a few feet away. “Why?”

He stepped up, closing the gap between us. “Nah, fuck that. Answer my question.”

Placing my phone behind my back, I snaked my neck. “The only people I answer to are the ones who pay this bill.”

“Oh, yeah?” He charged at me, and I took off running.

“Boy, move!” I belted, as he chased me around the living room.

“Quit being so fucking difficult,” he commanded, while grabbing me from behind. With little effort he wrangled my cell out of my hand. Facing the screen on my phone, while holding me from behind, he saw Nancy and chuckled. “Oh, what’s up, Nance?”

Nancy smiled…hard. “Oh, hey, Jeremy. What are you doing over there? Is Lexi with you?”

He shook his head. “Nah, Lexi definitely aint here. But say, Jhyrah is gonna hit you back later. Alright?”

“Okay,” she agreed, as he ended the call.

“Who told you to do that? I wasn’t done talking,” I claimed.

Tucking my phone into his back pocket, he tossed an arm around my neck. “I need you to stop playing with me,” he whispered into my ear.

Kia tilted her head sideways. “What is this all about?”

Jeremy glanced up. “You worried about the wrong thing. You supposed to be entertaining my brother.”

“Yeah,” Jared quickly co-signed, feeling all over her booty.

“Besides, I need to holler at Jhyrah privately.”

Kia tucked her bottom lip into her mouth. “Well, yall can go up to the spare bedroom. Jhyrah knows where it is.”

With his arm still around my neck, Jeremy popped my booty. “Come on, let’s go to that room. We need to talk.”

Nodding my head, I guided him upstairs to the room. We both stepped in together, before he closed it after us. As soon as the door was locked, I sighed heavily.

“So, what are you trying to talk about---” I got out, before he savagely attacked me.

I’d never received so many kisses in all my life. His lips were here. There. Everywhere. I don’t know how we ended up in bed, but there we were. Rolling around. Exchanging breaths. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, once a cold drift teased my skin, after he’d undressed me. His clothes were off too when he slid between my thighs.

He attempted to enter me, but my body stubbornly rejected him. That one encounter had done very little to open me, therefore, he had to take his time. Delivering subtle strokes, he moved deeper within me, until I could take no more. Fighting against discomfort, I gritted my teeth, while sinking my nails into his back.

“I’m hurting you?” he whispered, while twirling himself within me.

  Slowly, I nodded.

“So, you want me to stop?”

  I shook my head.

  “Why not?”

“Because,” I gasped, as I felt him stimulate my clit.

“Because what?” he bumped against my clit again.

I tucked my lips into my mouth. “Because I want you right here.”

“You want me right here?” he huffed. “Between your legs?”

  I nodded.

  “Inside of you?”

I licked my lips, as I tightened around him. I wasn’t quite sure of how I’d done that, but I could feel it and I knew that he could too.

“Aww, fuck,” he bit his bottom lip, as the vein on his temple stretched out. “Jhyrah---”

Although, feeling him within me was somewhat painful still, hearing my name did something to me. Therefore, I gripped his shoulders and fucked him back.

“Uhhh,” he breathed in my ear, as his pumps came harder.

Feeling completely aroused, I lifted my legs, holding my knees against my breasts, granting him full access. Excitedly, Jeremy took full advantage, delivering long strokes, causing his balls to slap against my ass.

I felt my boobs bounce as we tongue-kissed, while fucking feverishly. Our bodies became sweaty, as I found myself thrusting my inexperienced hips. I rubbed Jeremy’s waves, as he explored my body.

At that very moment, I felt like a grown woman. Doing all the things that my parents didn’t want me to. Hell, I knew that I shouldn’t, myself. But it felt good. I was doing what I wanted and now that I’d had a taste…there was no turning back.

“You should’ve stayed at home with this bad ass attitude,” Little Jah fussed, as we eased out of our Mercedes G-Wagon.

“Boy, shut up talking to me. Getting on my fuckin’ nerves,” I pouted, as I stomped towards the main building at school. I was mad at the world, and since he didn’t know how to shut up, I was snapping on his ass.

I woke up experiencing major cramps and my mama wouldn’t let me stay at home. She claimed that she didn’t want me dry missing days, but I knew better. Her and my daddy liked to openly fuck all over the house while we were away at school and if I’d stayed, it would be none of that. Unluckily, I had the freakiest parents around, so my ass had to suffer through school, while my stomach was hurting.

Truly not feeling it, I’d thrown my hair into a messy pony tail and was rocking a black Nike sweat suit, along with Nike slides and socks. I was frowned up, as I headed to the cafeteria and was hoping that nobody approached me. Just as I was opening the door to enter the building, I felt someone grab my hand.

Spinning around, I was prepared to go off, until I saw his smiling face.

“Come’ere,” Jeremy demanded, grabbing my hand, giving me a smile that made my heart flutter.

“Where are we going?” I questioned.

“Back to the lot,” he answered.

I rolled my eyes, as I thought about telling him that I didn’t feel like doing all that.

“Doing a little bit more walking aint gon kill you,” he offered, seemingly reading my mind.

All I could do was laugh, as we stepped up to his mama’s Range Rover. Like a gentleman, he opened the door for me, and I slid in. He then jogged around to the driver’s side and hopped in as well.

Cheerfully, he rubbed his hands together. “What’s up, girl? Why the long face? You aint feeling good?”

  I shook my head no.

  “You on ya period?”

I cut my eyes at him. I wasn’t the least bit shy, but I didn’t go around talking about my cycle with boys…at least not with ones that weren’t related to me.

He sucked his teeth. “Girl, you hear me. Are you on your period?”

I tucked my bottom lip into my mouth. “Yeah.”

“Aww, my poor baby,” he cooed, rubbing my stomach. “You want me to make you feel better?”

I sighed. “How are you gonna do that?”

He reached into the back seat, retrieving a plastic bag. “I got you this,” he uttered, as he pulled out a king-sized Snickers, a bag of hot Cheetos, and a Minute Maid apple juice.

I gasped, because those were my favorite snacks. “How did you know?”

He leaned his head back. “How long have you been knowing me, Jhyrah?”

“Since for as long as I can remember.”

“And you don’t think that I’ve noticed what you like and when your moods shift?”

I smiled, as I opened my chips. Popping a Cheeto into my mouth, I grinned. “Well, now I know.”

Leaning over the console, he kissed my cheek, causing me to giggle. “You goofy, man.”

“So,” I smiled, while playfully shoving him back. “And why are you in the Rover by yourself? Didn’t I see yall Beamer parked out here too?”

He reclined in his seat, as he licked his lips. “I was at home playing referee and them niggas left me.”

I narrowed my eyes. “Referee? What happened?”

He shook his head. “You know Iesha? She’s kin to your uncle Kevin,” he referred to Auntie Raquel’s husband.

  “Yeah, I know her.”

“Okay, well, you know that my mama’s ex is kin to them both, Kevin and Iesha.”

  I nodded. “Bee.”

“Right. And even though Bee’s related to them, my pops never trips when she goes over to Kevin and Raquel’s.”

“Yeah, but that’s different. Bee rarely visits Uncle Kevin out here. They hang more so in the hood,” I clarified. I knew this from listening to my mama and Paris gossip, and I myself couldn’t recall ever seeing Bee over at my aunt’s.

“I know that, but still. All I’m saying is that my mama has dealings with Bee’s people, regardless. But for some reason my pops lost his mind because my mama went and hung with somebody she’s grown up with, because he thought that Bee might be over there too. The man couldn’t even focus yesterday. We were riding around with him and he kept calling my mama’s phone, but didn’t want nothing. Just kept trying to keep her on the phone. And then when she found a way to get off the phone, he started forcing us to call her. Eventually, my mama stopped answering her phone, so he went by Iesha’s house and made Jermany go get my mama.”

“You bullshitting,” I tittered. “Uncle Jay Rock wasn’t tripping like that, was he?”

“I’m for real, man. He was on one, talking about it looked like Bee’s car was parked outside. Then when my mama came outside, you know she was talking shit. It was embarrassing. I ended up having to drive my pops’ Escalade, because he hopped in the car with my mama. Then once they got home, they argued in the driveway for hours. Then when they finally came in the house, I overheard my pops telling my mama to let him smell her pussy.”

“Nooo!” I hollered, kneeling over. “OMG. They’re wilding for real.”

“Exactly. My pops was raising hell, while my mama was so nonchalant about the situation. She just kept saying, ‘Calm down, Jeremy’ and that would really set that man off. Eventually, she got him to go to their room, where they was fucking all loud and shit.”

I was laughing so hard that my shoulders were trembling. I knew that Jeremy was only telling me these things because we shared a certain level of mutual comfort. I wouldn’t judge and I low key loved that he was so open with me.

“That aint funny, girl,” he couldn’t help chuckling. “I’ma need therapy fucking with them people. And then my pops woke up this morning on the same bullshit, because Iesha kept calling my mama’s phone. My pops was swearing up and down that she was just calling for Bee.”

I snickered. “She probably was, knowing Iesha. Her and Bee are real close. He probably used Iesha to lure Paris over there, or they used her for a cover up.”

He smirked. “Okay, you sounding like my pops now. He was saying the same shit.”

I squinted. “What do you think, though? You think that your mama is still creeping with Bee?” I asked the burning question.

Truthfully, my nosy ass wanted all the tea. Through my mama and auntie, I knew that Paris, Jay Rock, and Bee had been the talk of the hood at one point. Bee was Auntie Paris’s first love. She eventually got with Uncle Jay Rock when Bee went to prison. When Bee got out, Auntie Paris crept with him, after her and Jay Rock had an explosive fight. Shit got crazy. Eventually, Auntie Paris decided to stay with Uncle Jay Rock, but things were so messy that they had to get a DNA test on Jermany. Some people swear that Uncle Jay Rock is a fool for staying with Paris, but I know them personally, so I know better. From what I’ve heard, Jay Rock was no angel himself, but people made a bigger deal about Paris’s infractions because she was a woman. Me…I just saw it as two imperfect people being in love. I’d seen enough to know that those storybook marriages that people read about were non-existent. Therefore, I took this latest drama with Jeremy’s parents as a small bump in the road. Ultimately, they’d be alright, because I knew undoubtedly that they loved each other.

Jeremy cleared his throat. “Look, I’ma just say this. I can recall my mama taking us over to people’s houses back in the day. Bee would be there, but we were too young to really understand what was going on. Shit, I thought the nigga was our uncle or something. He’d buy us anything we’d ask for and was so cool. It never dawned on us that this was happening behind my pops’ back. I never personally saw my mama do anything out the way with him, but knowing what I know now, my mama was out of line. I’d be ready to kill you if you did that with our kids,” he claimed, causing my heart to skip a beat. Our kids? The confidence he had in us having a future together was astounding, to say the least. “And my mama has a certain comfort with that nigga…like they’re related or something…nah, I’ma keep it real. It’s like Bee’s her other husband or something. I know for a fact that if my mama was in a jam right now and she called him, he’d come without a second thought. My pops would too, though. And I know that this has to bother my daddy. No man wants to feel like they don’t completely have their girl’s heart. So, I understand my pops’ frustration, but I also believe that he’s underestimating how much my mama loves him. If she wanted to be with Bee, she could. He’d take her back. But she’s at home because that’s where she wants to be. My parents are in love. That much I know. They can’t even go a day without each other. I don’t care how bad an argument gets, they’ll be right back hugged up a few hours later. They hang together like best friends and shit. My mama don’t be worried about no niggas. My pops don’t be seeing these hoes. So, no, I don’t think that my mama is cheating…physically. But whatever connection she has with Bee is a hard pill to swallow, because my pops loves her too much to share. He don’t even want her caring about her ex. And I feel him.”

I gave him a funny look. “You feel him?”

He nodded. “Hell, yeah. You aint keeping contact with no exes. Aint happening.”

  I smirked. “I thought you said that I d
idn’t have a boyfriend before you?”

“You haven’t,” he proclaimed. “But you know what I’m saying. I’m greedy. I don’t share. So, you aint them niggas’ ex, associate, or friend. Matter of fact, you can be rude to these muthafuckas. Let them know that aint nothing shakin’.”

I lifted my chin. “Then you can’t be on no friendly shit, either.”

He nodded again. “Without a doubt.”

I playfully rolled my eyes and shook my head. “Okay, Jeremy. Whatever you say.”

  Chapter 7

  Jhyrah

“Jah wants to have his cake and eat it too. All these guys around here want the same thing,” Nancy complained, as we all sat at the lunch table in the cafeteria.

“Tell me about it,” Kia gloomily co-signed. She’d been down in the dumps ever since Jared had hit it and quit it. After seeing her fall too fast, I’d gone against what I’d initially promised myself and told her to be careful. Of course, she didn’t listen, and now she was sitting around crying foul, since he’d moved on to another cheerleader.

I sighed heavily, thinking that they sounded like some women my mama’s age. Life wasn’t that damn difficult and there were definitely more fish in the sea. Hell, they needed a mama like mine, who’d schooled me on the ways of men. Sitting around, pleading with a nigga to do better never worked. Letting them know that you wouldn’t wait and had options was always the better route. “Nancy, I wish that you’d stop harping on this thing with Little Jah. Every boy isn’t the same. You’re just choosing him, while he doesn’t choose you. Back up and do your own thing. It might work in your favor.”

Nancy pursed her lips. “Jhyrah, girl, you need to wake up from that fantasy you’re living in. All boys are exactly like Jah, so why would I trade him in for a new headache? Don’t tell me that you’re still thinking that Jeremy is any different.”

I curled my lips and gritted my teeth. “Bitch, don’t be trying to put my business out there.”

She rolled her eyes. “It’s just me and Kia here, Jhyrah. We both know what’s going on, so stop it. You know that I wouldn’t say anything, if anybody else was sitting here.”
