The Nameless One Page 7

“Don’t you really have a name? I can’t keep calling you nameless, you know…It’s not right,” the human whispered as he found the creature’s hands.

“I was never given a name,” he answered feeling no longer shame, but accepting the fact as it is.

“Then we must find you a name, but first I must see you, because I cannot help you pick one if you keep hiding from me,” came the soft warm voice.

The wind gently whistled and the fireflies started flying toward them from all over the cave. The nameless one understood that the wind asked them to come forward, but the human would not hear nor understand what transpired. Faine stood in wonder, watching the fireflies flying around creating enough light for him to see the nameless one.

  Chapter Seventeen

When his gaze fell on the tall powerful nameless one, Faine took a sharp breath. At first, the nameless one saw a short moment of fear that changed quickly to wonder, warmth and something more intimate. The nameless one knew the man liked what he saw, making him puff his chest with pride.

Faine whispered as he stepped closer to him. “You don’t look like a bat, albeit you have massive wings, but that is all… I can see why you had to hide your face, because you look fierce, yet strong and handsome.”

No one had ever looked at the nameless one in such a warm way, let alone thought of him as fierce or strong, but to think Faine considered him as handsome made his wings flutter with excitement, and his cock jumped again. For centuries, he had been told how hideous he looked, and this mere slip of a man thought of him as handsome and was aroused by what he saw. The man’s musky arousal was nothing less than mouthwatering for the nameless one.

Centuries of hurt and broken promises and abuse weighed heavily on the nameless one, but the weight of the crimes he had been forced to commit was almost soul destroying for him. Up until now, he thought he was broken beyond repair, but Faine thought he was something that was good and more.

“I am neither, Faine,” the nameless one answered. Then for a day and a half, he told him everything that happened to him without the other man interrupting him.

Seeing Faine, tearing up at his suffering as he kept stroking him softly, felt like a soothing balm for the nameless one. He felt lighter realizing that he was never the monster. The ones who punished him in such a hateful way, and those who cajoled, lied to him as well as summoned him to do the atrocious acts, were the monsters.

On the second day, when the nameless one could no longer utter a word from exhaustion, Faine climbed over his lap and held his face between his palms.

“I wish I could show you how I see you right in my heart and mind. You are more than what I just see right now, and certainly you are more than what I feel under my hand right now. You are what you are here. A good being.” Faine rested his hand against the nameless one’s heart as he rested his head on the nameless one’s shoulder.

Faine murmured against his lips listing, his qualities in between kisses. “Yes, you are strong and fierce for surviving all those adversaries for so long without losing your heart… and you are handsome too with those beautiful blue eyes, long white hair and tall strong body.”

Faine suddenly stopped kissing the nameless one, making him lean forward to catch his lips again, but Faine sat back shaking his head. His eyes lit in delight.

“I’m sorry, but what do you mean?” he asked, totally lost in the direction of the conversation.

“Egann! You know…it means fire…How about I call you Egann? Your Elders may not give you a name, but I can name you because you are strong and fierce.” Faine’s eyes shone with excitement as he spoke.

The nameless one clenched his jaws to contain his emotions. He was never touched as much as he felt at that moment. Here was this little slip of a man looking tiny in his arms, naming him. He wanted to name him Egann, beloved…precious. He was precious to someone.

“Okay… I accept the name with honor.” Egann was choked up and still managed to smile at the man. With shaky hands, he stroked the dark curls on Faine’s head before grabbing a handful gently, to pull his face to his own…. As he kissed the man, he thought it was Faine who was precious. Greed, envy, and anger were part of the human nature, but so was loving, patience and humbleness. He rubbed his head against Faine’s head slowly, feeling he not only belonged to the mountain and the wind and the rain, but he now belonged to Faine the young shepherd. He felt himself gently sinking a little into the earth as if the mountain hugged them both, while the wind swirled around them gently.

He twisted his body until he managed to spread his wings so he could lie back comfortably. He wrapped his arms around Faine to hug him tighter and let him feel how aroused he was. When the human rocked his hips against his erection, Egann grunted and lifted his head to suckle his neck. His hands seemed to have their own minds as they spread over Faine’s small butt. This was the first time he was able to touch another man freely.

Faine sat up after balancing on his knees carefully, and unlaced his pants keeping, his gaze on the muscular body that laid under him. Once Faine pulled his pants down, he unlaced Egann’s leather pants to free his erect cock.

Egann watched Faine’s wide-eyed gaze on his erection. He knew he was bigger than the human, so he uttered not a single word, but waited to hear the human’s response. It was not his way to force or cajole.

Faine whispered as he leaned and gently bit the muscular shoulder. “I know it was very rude, but once I saw a couple at the spring kissing. Mind you, I didn’t stay long, but saw enough to feed my imagination.”

Egann was enthralled with what he saw, and laid on the ground waiting for the man’s next move. However, Faine broke his concentration, “Wait! Are you telling me you were peeping on a couple?”

“Hush, now! It was nothing like that. I was sitting on my tree as usual, minding my own business and thinking of ways to avoid washing dishes, when I heard moaning and groaning sounds. What was I to do? I practically hobbled there as I rushed, and forgot to take my stick with me. I thought someone was in pain…well, they did kind of look in pain, anyway, but not really.”

“You pervert. You watched a couple’s love making.” He tried hard to hide his grin as he pretended to look shocked.

“Hey, at least I was being decent and didn’t disturb them, once I realized she wasn’t suffocating him by sitting on his face,” Faine murmured, hiding his red face, but Egann could see his blushing cheeks.

“How long did you hide there, then?” he murmured, taking pity on Faine.

“Well… Once I realized no one was killing each other, I was kind of stuck there, because my walking stick was left behind. I had to sit there, but I looked elsewhere…often,” Faine mumbled into his neck, making Egann grab him gently to press him there. He liked how the man bit him on the neck earlier. It was obvious that his human understood what he asked silently, because he first kissed Egann’s neck before biting him.

He let Faine have free rein to benefit from what else he saw that day. All the while, the man bit and suckled him; he kept rocking his hips against Egann’s abdomen. Feeling the man’s erection rubbing against his body made his own cock twitch. He slid his hand into Faine’s pants and squeezed his naked butt, before his fingers slipped between the warm cheeks. Both of them gasped at the intimacy of feeling something so private. Neither cared that the cave was dark again, for the fireflies had long gone.

“I like how you feel under my hand…all soft and fuzzy,” Faine growled, before he found his creature’s nipple and suckled him. Egann almost roared at the sensations reaching to his balls. His hand gently rubbed the human’s pucker, earning him a moan.

“You like that, Faine?” he growled. He no longer cared that the man heard his voice in different soft octaves.

“Yeah. It’s better than when I touched myself,” Faine whispered.

“Oh, yeah? What else have you done and liked it?” Egann couldn’t believe his ears that they were talking like this, but he loved the dirty talk. He coul
dn’t understand why some of his masters liked talking dirty when they laid with their partners. He didn’t tell Faine, but he also watched couples a few times, as his masters seemed to get a kick out of being watched. He was curious at the time, and anything was better than going back to the bottle.

“No. I’m not telling you anything. It’s your turn now. I refuse to sound like a pervert on my own.” Faine sounded belligerent in the dark, but Egann saw how the man was grinning.

“Hmm… Let me think. Oh, yes. Once I watched this master spending a whole night with two females, and then the next day he laid with his servant… That was very exciting.” He growled with arousal at the memory.

“Oh, yeah? Skip the part with the two females, and tell me what he did with the man,” Faine ordered, as he waggled his eyebrows gleefully.

“Oh, you are a pervert one, aren’t you? What makes you think I watched them?” Egann tried to sound offended but failed as he snickered. He let out a roaring laughter as the small hands tickled him on the sides.

“Tell me, now. You know more than I do. I know now. Satisfy my curiosity!” Faine demanded as he tried to tickle Egann.

“I’ll not only satisfy your curiosity, but also would like to satisfy you too, human,” he growled, liking his naughty but vulgar response. He definitely understood why that master liked to talk so crudely in the bed. It was fun as well as a turn on. When he heard Faine’s laughter, he nodded, thinking his human liked it too.

“Start now, beast. Show me what you saw,” Faine growled back, imitating Egann, which made the creature laugh, and the walls of the mountain shook gently as if it also found it funny… and Egann showed Faine with his body what he saw hundreds of years ago, keeping his promise that he did satisfy his human.

When Faine healed completely, he seemed to be in no hurry to leave the mountain. Egann was happy that the man was in no hurry to leave the mountain. However, he didn’t want Faine to miss his family either. One day, he asked Faine whether he wanted to visit Sylvonna and the forest.

Faine’s face lit up. “Yes, please! Let’s visit them… now?”

Egann nodded his head as he smiled. “If that’s what you want, we shall go now.”

  Chapter Eighteen

Egann wrapped the felt cape tightly around Faine, which made the man complain. “Hey, you’re squishing me. I can’t breathe like this.”

Egann pulled the hood over Faine’s head, blatantly ignoring the man’s complaint. “Yes, you can breathe and you shall. I will make sure of that.”

He grumbled, but Egann could see Faine was trying very hard to keep his face straight. “Ugh. If I faint from lack of air, remember I told you so.”

He made sure he kept his face straight and voice serious. “And I shall tell everyone in the village that you told me you would faint, and I ignored you.”

Both of them ignored the gentle wind twirling playfully around their ankles.

As they arrived at the forest, Sylvonna was already waiting for them between the trees. As soon as Egann placed him gently on the ground and handed him his staff, Faine tried to walk as fast he could to reach Sylvonna.

Egann could see the bond between them, and how the trees shook and leaned toward his mate as if to hug him.

That evening after dinner, Faine walked out to tend his bodily needs, leaving Egann alone with Sylvonna.

She smiled at Egann. “All is well now?”

He felt his heart beat in joy as he nodded his head. As Faine didn’t return at the expected time, Egann apologized and left the cottage to look for him. He didn’t walk long before he found Faine sitting by the oak tree.

His mate’s head was drooping down and his shoulders were shaking. Seeing him looking sad made Egann walk faster to him. “Faine, beloved? Are you hurt? What happened?” Egann asked a series of questions as he kept touching his mate’s legs and arms in an attempt to find his injuries.

When he felt Faine’s cold hands touching his cheeks, Egann looked at his face, startled at how cold his hands were.

His mate’s eyes were red from crying. “You’re my soul mate? “

His heart started beating faster, leaving him almost dizzy. Egann slowly nodded his head.

Faine whimpered as he stroked Egann’s cheeks. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

Egann couldn’t answer his mate, but rested his head on his legs. “I was waiting for the right time.” When he heard a gentle laughter, he lifted his head to look at Faine’s face.

“Well, you’re too late. The Oak told me everything.” Egann smiled back before he rested his head on Faine’s legs again.

“It was no secret, my beloved. I already knew that in my heart.” Egann warmed his body to keep Faine warmer so he didn’t catch a cold, until he was ready to walk back to the cottage.

  EPILOGUE

Faine never left the mountain, since Egann had brought him back to the cave as an injured man. He and Egann lived as soul mates on the mountain, with occasional visits to Sylvonna.

One night, Faine told Egann how the trees knew of his arrival at the mountain, and they told Faine of Egann’s story. Nothing surprised the creature anymore, for he saw too much in his lifetime, but was still unaware how the human knew of his story well before his arrival.

“So you knew who I was before I showed my face to you?” Egann asked, his eyes wide open as he lifted Faine off his chest to see his face.

Faine answered softly, squirming from Egann’s hands to drop himself on his chest again. “Yes, my Egann. The trees told me of your story days before you arrived, and then I sought you because I knew you were the one for me. Now don’t ask me how I knew, because I can’t explain it… All I can say, I felt it right in my heart…somewhere even deeper that we were meant to be together. I knew I had to seek you and earn your trust.”

Egann let him come back to his chest to hug him tightly. While he kissed Faine’s head, he brought his wings to wrap them around their bodies. Every night, the human slept on his body never experiencing the hard floor but then the mountain and the wind worked their magic and brought leaves and straws for Egann to lie on too. Mother Nature made sure both of them lived in comfort, and happily ever after.

As the mountain and the forest were enchanted, Faine did not grow old like his peers did. He lived as long as Egann lived. At night, Egann often took Faine with him to fly and visit Sylvonna, the guardian of the forest. She also never grew old, but just let humans think she was old. The three of them made sure the forest was protected from the humans, and the abandoned infants were found safely to be cared for, just as the forest had cared for them.
