The Fateless: Errata

by Seri Anne Lynn

“No dude, he knows what he’s doing. Let him finish it, man,” Rowen told Aidan, then looked to Seth. “You do know what you’re doing, right?”

  “I don’t know. I did my best.”

“Your best? This is your best?” Aidan swung at Seth with his fist and missed. Tobias pushed Aidan back to the wall, telling him to calm down.

  “Aidan...” Tat faintly called.

“Look!” Rowen yelled. “Aidan! It’s Tat, she’s awake!”

“What – What happened,” she stirred. Seth warned her not to try standing.

She was awake. She was moving, talking. Seth had done it. They brushed the dust and debris off her. Aidan wrapped his arms around her and cried louder than he ever had in his life.

She was alive, and nothing else mattered. To hell with being an Errata or going back to the Otherworld. To hell with the Fates and all that other stuff. It all became perfectly clear to Aidan.

The only thing that mattered was that they were all together again and Tat was alive and breathing. Everything else would just have to wait. Seal or no seal, fate or no fate; he knew without any doubt what he would do now.

He would stay here with Tybor and the Minions and do whatever he needed to do to protect her. He hugged Tat tighter. She was alive, things were all right. Everything was going to be fine.
