  Ranikot Fort, near Sann, Jamshoro District, Sindh, Pakistan — the first large-scale Arab campaign in the Indus valley occurred when General Muhammad bin Qasim invaded Sindh in AD 711. Historians regard the Muslim Conquest of India (c. 1000) to signify the decline of Sanskrit composition.
