“Dammit!” I curse out loud as my conscience starts tormenting me. Well, I won't say that I'm entirely a bad girl, neither am I ideally good like people would expect because of how I carry myself. The truth remains that I'm only human just like everyone else, with needs of my own to satisfy. Ray is only able to see through my strictness because we are friends. At the initial stage of our friendship, he wouldn't dare to flirt with me. Actually, I used to think that to an extent he was intimidated by me. But then, as time went on, our friendship grew to the point where we talked about our naughty past.

Reminiscing on the few sexual discussions and arguments we've had, I begin to smile to myself. Indeed, Ray has really hung on to me. Despite my mood swings and the insane level of my sarcasm when relating to him, he was still consistent. I like Ray so much, but I don't want to date him.

At this point, voices in my head ask, why?

He knows far too much about me,” I respond with my voice entering and echoing from the inside to the external environment.

I look at my wristwatch and I realize that it's already six-fifteen p.m.

“Ah! Come on, no!” I shout in frustration.

On a normal day, the my office section closes for business by four p.m., although most times I end up reaching home by six p.m., or much later than that if I have personal work from Mr. Price; it's clear that Ray and I have been going at it for the past four hours.

“That beast,” I cooed, giggling silently as I packed my stuff and headed for the door.

I'm about to lock my office when my phone starts ringing inside my bag. Looking at the screen, I hiss noisily as I pressed the 'accept call' icon.

“What is it? I said I'll call you when I'm home and rested, and not the other way round,” I firmly state to Ray at the other end.

It’s true, I enjoy and derive so much joy from attacking and badmouthing Ray. He too wouldn't miss an opportunity to do worse to me as well. Funnily enough, we are compatible in this aspect. Unfortunately, anyone listening to our conversation may likely think otherwise, but we're completely cool with the way we roll.

“I called to ask if we could go grab dinner together after you're done resting. Well, it's like you're too tired so...” Ray was still talking when I cut in immediately. “Ah! What the fuck, man?! So you're angry now or what? I'll be waiting for you to come pick me up at my place.”

I can hear Ray laughing out so loud at the other end.

“Oh! Time is seven-thirty p.m. Don't be late!” I tell him.

“Babe you're so not serious. I thought you wanted to rest?” Ray asks, trying to sound sarcastic.

I'm not in the mood to have banter with him so I decide to dismiss him in peace.

“Ray, listen to me, one minute past the time and you're so dead!” I respond while pausing to listen to Ray choking in between his laughter. “I got to go now! Bye asshole!” I added.

Having someone like Ray, someone you can freely talk to, is a blessing. As I arrive home, I ignore the urge to fix dinner for myself. Yes, I'm hungry as hell. My limbs are shaking violently as I scan through my drawer in search of the cookies I bought a day before. In actuality, Ray literally made me cum my entire strength away. But then, I know if I eat now, my date night that's only an hour away from now will be ruined.

I'm eating the cookie while trying to figure out how Ray and I will possibly come up with a proposal that's tangible enough. I'm so sure that, just like earlier today, the main aim of Ray going out with me isn't because of the concert. In fact, the concert didn't really mean much to him. Or maybe it did. But then, he didn't act bothered in any way.

“We'll need a good venue,” I say audibly while trying to write down the things I feel are priorities.

As I try contemplating a possible venue in LA that could be good enough, I overhear a car branching into my apartment complex. This is when I realize that it's already past the time I asked Ray to come.

“Shit, I need to at least shower,” I exclaim while running toward the bathroom.

The truth is that since I got back, I've been feeling so lazy. The whole thing became worse after I ate the cookies. I didn't feel like being active, so I rested on the couch. My plan was to bathe for thirty minutes before the time I told Ray to come pick me, but then, I completely forgot to check the time.

Although I don't like keeping anyone waiting, I know he'll have to wait for me. While in the bathroom, I can hear Ray entering my sitting room while calling me.

  “Angie, I'm here!” he announces

“I'm in the bathroom,” I yell back at him and giggle.

Ray pauses for some seconds and then hisses noisily.

“Hey man, you don't hiss when I'm talking,” I shout to him again.

“Will you keep quiet in that bathroom and hurry or do you want me to come fuck your brains out there huh?” he asks rhetorically.

I know Ray too well. He'd probably come in if I don't hurry and I wouldn't want to end up fucking again. The afternoon sex I had was already too exhausting.

“Stay where you are if you don't want to end up in jail!” I reply while laughing out loud.

I can hear Ray laughing as well while turning on the TV in the sitting room.

Well, at least he's got something to keep him company, I reason within me while I hurriedly wear my jeans and a t-shirt.

Because Ray is already here and I didn't want to keep him waiting for too long, I ignore the idea of using makeup. Grabbing the hair conditioner that is in the drawer quite close to my bed, I apply the contents to my blonde hair while brushing it into a nice shape.

“Will you hurry?” Ray shouts in frustration from the sitting room as I rush out of the bedroom to meet him.

“Ah!” I exclaim and inhale sharply at the same time. “I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting. Trust me, it wasn't intentional,” I apologize to Ray while motioning my hands in a pleading gesture.

Ray glances at me quickly and then replies, “It's okay. At least for once in your life you're admitting that you're wrong.”

I can sense the sarcasm in his statement, but then, I just decide to let it slide. We are late already and I wouldn't want anything that'll make us delay more.

“Wait!” Ray exclaimed while motioning me to stop.

Stopping immediately, I look at the floor thinking that maybe I was about stepping on something.

  “What?” I ask, seemingly confused.

“Nothing, I just felt like stopping you,” Ray jokes while laughing at my reaction.

With my eyebrows raised, I place my right hand on my waist as I hit my right foot on the ground without uttering a word.

Ray laughs and says, “That’s for making me wait!”

As I reach out to hit his arm, he runs out of the room while I switch off the TV and follow him. Every moment with Ray is always beautiful and I'm certain that tonight won't be any different.

  Chapter 6 - Ray

Last night was amazing, especially with the fact that I had Angela around me. It was quite unbelievable how we could come up with a proposal for the concert while still playing around. Angela came with a pen and booklet, so while we were having dinner, we both suggested things that could be done to make the concert unique.

“This budget is too high for just a mere concert,” Mr. Leon argues as Angela presents the proposal to the Getaway board executives.

“This is why I said I can't do this shit,” I puff in the air angrily while I listen to Mr. Leon do what he knows how to do best—criticize.

When Mr. Price approached me, the request was for me to partner with Angela and help the company with a nice proposal. I was a bit surprised when he told us that we'd be the ones presenting it in the meeting that day. In his exact words, he said, “Ray come on, no one would possibly understand your idea better than you!”

As I tried to complain, he smiled and whispered, “It's just to explain clearly to us what you've suggested. Ray, we are humans too, we don't bite.”

I couldn't help but laugh as he pou
ted his face while I still tried to argue.

“OK, I will. But then, I hate unconstructive criticism,” I responded with a stern face while trying to analyze the attitude of some of the board executives.

Looking at me intensely, Mr. Price shook his head before saying, “You've been a celebrity and a popular face on social media and you've not died from people's criticism....”

I didn't allow him to finish when I cut in, “that's because they aren't saying it to my face.”

Well, from the way I said it, he must have known that I was joking because he started giggling and sighing intermittently. But then, listening to the way Mr. Leon is sounding right now—automatically condemning something that others took significant personal time to do without expecting anything in return—at least we expected a 'thank you', which we haven't gotten yet, makes me feel like walking out on them.

“You can't expect quality without a sacrifice!” Angela replies calmly.

“Dammit, that's my girl,” I coo silently while motioning the 'yes, you nail it!' gesture with my right hand before I could even have a chance to stop myself.

At the other end, I can see Mr. Price smile at me with the way I reacted to Angela's punch-line reply. No doubt, I believe that even Mr. Price is proud of her. He single-handedly brought her here and she's really proving her worth.

“I'm not disputing the fact that quality delivery is highly dependent on sacrifice...” Mr. Leon tries to argue again but is interrupted by Mr. Cole.

“So, in essence, what are you saying?” Mr. Cole asks sarcastically.

“All I'm trying to say is that five million is too high to be used only for a mere concert.’

Well, everyone knows Mr. Leon to be a terrible critic and one that argues the most, especially issues concerning the company's funds. Yes, they weren't his funds, but then, he never gives anyone the chance to benefit more than they deserve. However, in most cases, even when another person is sincere, he's always battling them with trust issues. Unfortunately, this character of his made quite many people see him as a troublesome fellow. Meetings rarely finished early when Mr. Leon was present.

I love the way Mr. Price is sitting back quietly without getting involved in the argument. Since he was the one who gave us the assignment, trying to get involved or support us in any way might only send the wrong message to the rest of the board executive committee members.

Mr. Fred, another Getaway executive, waves at Angela and says, “Young lady, please continue.”

“As I was saying,” Angela begins to give a breakdown of the proposed plans for the concert with the estimated amount for each of them.

With the nature of the questions thrown at her and how she answered them, I couldn't help but admire her gut and level of intelligence. Even when some questions asked are unnecessary and annoying, she still kept her cool.

“Dammit, I owe you champagne this evening,” I whisper in her ear as she comes to sit beside me after explaining the proposal and stating the reasons for each of the estimated amounts.

For me, I'm surprised that no one tried interrupting while I talk about the venue, stage performance, and the security measures to be taken. I'm sure they are already exhausted from trying to argue with Angela. I can see the broad smile on Mr. Price's face as I finish my speech and hand over a few copies of the proposal to the executives for evaluation.

“With that, we've come to the end of the meeting for today,” Mr. Price announces while pausing to see if there is any objection. Since there is none, he continues by saying “on behalf of my fellow Getaway executive board members, I want to say a big thank you to Ray and Angela….”

Personally, I want to hear 'thank you' from at least one person in this board meeting, but no one speaks until Mr. Price led the way. He continues to shower accolades on our selflessness while smiling at Angela and me.

“Like I told Ray earlier on, the truth remains that no one can possibly understand these mind-blowing ideas better than they do.”

I'm trying to imagine what Mr. Price means by this. “I hope it's not what I'm thinking,” I turn and whisper to Angela. She too seems to be lost in a way.

“I'd love to suggest that we hand over this project to them to execute while we support them in the little ways we can,” Mr. Price concludes and consciously tries to avoid looking at our direction.

Just like me, Angela is bewildered by Mr. Price's level of trust. Her mouth is open as she stares at him, and she eventually turns to look at me who was also surprised as well. In actuality, I've never organized a concert before. I only attend as a performing artist and when I'm done, I leave with an entourage when it’s time to keep the party going. I always do my best to give autographs to fans who are able and lucky enough to get through security to reach me.

“Anyone with me should please indicate by raising his or her hand,” Mr. Price says while carrying his hand up.

Interrupting immediately, Mr. Leon argues, “Come on Damen, I thought we had event planners in this company. What makes you believe that they'll be able to give us tangible results? I mean, the kind of result we are expecting.”

Pausing for some seconds, Mr. Price responds, “Because I believe in both of them.”

Listening to Mr. Price's reply almost got me emotional. I don't know why he believes so much in me, but at this very moment, all I want is to make him proud.

I watch as every single member of the executive board raises their hands in unison. It's beautiful to see quite a number of people trusting entirely in Angela and me.

The meeting ends and Mr. Price walks up to me and says “Thank you Ray!” while hitting my shoulder playfully.

  Chapter 7 - Angela

People like Mr. Leon are never satisfied and I came fully prepared for him. Although at the initial stage I felt tense, I still encouraged myself. The board executives are also humans like me after all. The voice was loud enough to shake off every iota of fear that was left in me.

While everyone concentrated on my excellent performance in the proposal presentation, no one was able to see how busily I tried seducing Mr. Price who was sitting directly in front of me at the other end.

Before coming to the meeting, I never planned on seducing him. However, as I entered the hall and realized that I'd be sitting directly in front of him, I had to tempt him a little. I could see him looking down in between my legs while I consciously flash my panties at him.

The meeting is over and everyone returns to their respective offices and functions. While still arranging the documents I left on the table because of the meeting, Mr. Price walks in. His office is directly beside mine.

“Angela, you were really stunning out there. Thank you for your help,” Mr. Price says with a smile.

I couldn't help but smile back at him as he moves into his office.

If only he knew that I'm doing all these things so I could please him. He wouldn't be denying me that dick of his that is already forming a big bulge in his trousers. He stares under my table while sitting on the couch in my office, pretending to go through the proposal Ray and I gave to him. I know he likes what he's seeing but maybe he's scared of my possible reaction. I open my legs a little wider, allowing him a clearer view of my thong which is barely covering my shaved tight pussy.

I'm seeing the sexual torment reflecting on his face while he tries to hide his hard-on which by now is beginning to poke out on his front trouser.

“Erm, Angela I need you to take a look at this,” Mr. Price calls my attention trying not to choke on his words.

“Oh, it's a typographical error. It's not in the original copy,” I reply while leaning closer to him and gently brushing my tits against his face.

“Oh!” He exclaims and then turns to leave. All of a sudden, Mr. Price pauses and says, “I almost forgot. You're free from office duties for the next week. You need all the energy you can possibly gather to focus on the concert.”

It's hard to believe that for the next week I'll be free. Yes, I know that the
concert would be draining, but that didn't seem to matter at the moment.

For one week, Ray practically lives at my house. As we plan and make arrangements for the concert, Ray gives my pussy the kind of attention that it has never received before. Although my heart wants Mr. Price, at the same time my head eagerly yearns for Ray. He is just too good.

One day, while coming back from checking on the stadium we'll be using, Ray parks his car outside my apartment and bends the car seats to become flat so that he can fuck me mercilessly. I try so hard not to moan loud so as not to be heard by my neighbors.

Ray is crazy and sweet and I'm beginning to develop feelings for him. Yes, this time around it's not just the normal friendship feelings anymore. I could feel my heartbeat faster at the mere sight of him. All of a sudden, it's surprising how I could develop feelings for Ray. I didn't actually see it happening before now. I won't say it's because of how good he fucks. Or maybe it is. My pussy squirts in excitement each time he fucks me—a quest only he has achieved. But then, the truth is that as we begin to spend more time together because of the company's project, our bonds become stronger and stronger.

Yes, tomorrow is the event day. Everyone in LA is eagerly anticipating the Getaway concert. Ray had taken care of the artists that would be performing as well as inviting popular names that are signed to other record labels. On several social media platforms, our project is trending crazily as journalists and the press are so interested in being a part of it.

I now get to understand why Mr. Price needed Ray on this project. With Ray's help, we were able to get sponsors, and the company got back the money they invested in the project even before the event day.

The concert is slated for five p.m. but as I arrive at the venue by three p.m., I'm surprised that the place is already packed to a great extent.

The show is indeed the show of a lifetime. Looking at Ray backstage, I kiss his lips as he smiles broadly at me.
