I don’t think I’ve ever been that honest with anyone before. Her hands lay against my bare chest, right over my heart.

“You want to be with me?” she asked.

“Yeah,” I said, trying to answer her question as quickly as possible for her own sake.

“It’s just… no one has ever wanted that. With me.”

She gnawed on her lip as her eyes searched mine, as if looking for that full validation. I tucked her hair behind her ear and cupped her chin, my thumb drawing her bottom lip down.

  “That’s their loss.”

I kissed her softly against her plush lips before I parted them and swiped my tongue over hers. My tired cock stirred to life and threatened to harden.

Grace picked up on that and laughed in surprise.

  “Matthew, don’t you get tired?”

  “Nope.”

I reached in my pocket for the condom I had grabbed just in case—and it turned out to be the right call.

  “Turn around.”

I swiped her hair to the side and kissed her neck before guiding her down over the counter as she obeyed my command. Her legs trembled as I drew my hand up between them, grazing her hot flesh. Her pussy gushed with desire and I dipped my fingers inside, getting her ready.

I stepped back, pulling my cock from my sweats, and rolled the condom on. She turned her head against the counter, her fingers scratching at the marble. I grabbed her thighs and spread them wide, her breath hitching as she moaned in response.

“I want it hard, angel, can you handle that?”

“Yes,” she said, barely squeaking the word out.

  “Good.”

I pushed inside her at once, my cock driving deep.

  “Fuck, Matthew!”

  I told you.

I grabbed her ass so tight, I wondered if my fingers might just wind up leave marks, but I didn’t care. I lost myself in her, fucking her on the kitchen counter like she was as dirty as me. I got to have her first, I got to taint her, and I got to have all of her. And now I’m going to corrupt her body even more.

My cock drove deep, our skin slapping together and rising faster. Sweat dripped from my brow as she dripped from herself more, soaking me up inside her as she clenched around me even tighter.

She moaned louder than before as she came unbelievably quickly, her pussy clenching me tighter than I ever have felt. It was definitely a little bit of an ego boost to know that I was able to get her off so easily—and I wasn’t apologizing for it in the slightest.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” I groaned as I started to come.

I was still inside her as I came, my knees buckling. I bent over her, holding her down as I emptied inside her. I panted against her ear. She turned to kiss me sloppily, our tongues mashing together and her taste filling my mouth.

I didn’t get tired much, but if I wasn’t done before, I absolutely was now. Well, at least until noon or so. It definitely took me a few minutes of recovering myself on the couch to feel normal again—not that what I was feeling then wasn’t fucking incredible.

“You want to stay over?” I asked. “We can go get your stuff from your apartment in a bit and pick up Michael.”

She agreed, but she still seemed a little hesitant.

  “What is it?”

  She shook her head.

“I had just never shared a bed with anyone before,” she admitted. “But… felt pretty good.”

“Well, it’s warmer than usual,” I said with a laugh, hugging her to my chest. “It’s nice. I wanted to wake up next to you. Is that so bad?”

She beamed at me with a smile that told me exactly what I needed to know. That everything would work out just fine.

  “Not in the slightest.”

  Grace

  Matthew was right.

After we’d had sex for what felt like the ten thousandth time that night and morning, we went down for a nap. When I’d woken up next to him from our nighttime slumber, I was still so focused on the actual sex that I didn’t think anything of sleeping with him.

But now, as I awoke from our nap first, I couldn’t help but admire him in bed. I was facing the other way, his front up against my back and his arms wrapped around my middle torso. They were big and muscled, trapping the heat from his body. Our legs were tangled together. He was snoring slightly.

I wiped my eyes and gently turned around to face him. He stirred a little, but not much, not enough to make me worry that I had awoken him. I watched his sleeping face in awe—he was just too damned pretty. He had a rugged jaw and a two-day shadow going on. His eyelashes were longer than even mine.

My hand reached out before I could think better of it, and I was soon tracing the line of his cheek and jaw. I trailed down to his shoulders and arms, the intricate lines of his tattoos a dark gray, swirling around his bicep. He had a full sleeve on his left arm, while his right arm had one going down the front of his pecs. I stared at them so long that it became part of his skin.

My reverie, though, was interrupted when a phone went off in the distance. As I didn’t recognize the ringtone, I immediately figured out it was his. I reached across the night stand, seeing the phone read Mom. No way am I answering that. Talk about a disaster waiting to happen.

“Matthew, wake up,” I said, shaking him rather hard before he simply rolled over and opened his eyes to me. “Your mom. Hurry.”

He groaned and answered, not sounding particularly thrilled to be awake so early. I sat up next to him as he lay on his back and closed his eyes.

  “Hey mom…yeah…okay thanks.”

That was it before he hung up. It seemed… almost anticlimatic it was so quick.

“What is it?” I asked him.

  He yawned and sat up.

“Nothing, she’s just bringing Michael by. She got called into the hospital.”

It was a good thing I remembered that his mother worked at the hospital; otherwise, all sorts of panicked thoughts would have crossed my mind.

Our waking up together was a little interrupted, but it still felt nice to be with him. He smiled at me and reached out to tuck my hair behind my ear. I was sure it was messy as hell, as I didn’t put any product in it and it air dried, but he didn’t seem to care.

“Good morning.” I said with a giggle. “You look beat.”

“Because of you,” he said with a smirk. “I feel like an old man.”

All love, Matthew, but I’m pretty sure I’m not going to apologize for that one.

  “Well, you kind of are.”

“Hm. Other parts of me aren’t.”

Oh, yes please. He pulled me closer and kissed my neck, nibbling my skin. I giggled as his stubble tickled a bit, and his lips were warm. He closed his lips around me, suckling my skin.

“Matthew,” I said, grabbing his shoulders and pulling away from him.

If we don’t stop this now, we are never going to get out of the house. He groaned and drew his eyes to me with a lazy grin.

“Grace… the best part of sleeping together is morning sex. We shouldn’t stop ourselves from having more.”

I smiled at him and bit my lip. I swore I was going to have more sex in the next week with Matthew than most people did in a decade.

“I bet it is. But this time, I actually, really am sore.”

He licked his lips and trailed his eyes down my body.

“How sad for you. And me.”

“We should get dressed before Michael gets here,” I said, trying to cut him off from any games of persuading me into more sex. “How am I going to explain that?”

Matthew, though, just laughed and got out of bed in all his glory, his cock semi hard from his sleep. OK, this is not helping matters. Not in the slightest.

  “Brainstorm.”

He went into the bathroom, giving me a chance to check my phone. There was nothing from Rosella, who was coming back in two days anyways. I didn’t want to say I was glad she was back, as I really did like Michael… but damnit, this sex
had me on some sort of drug that mandated I get as much as I could.

I got up and put my leggings on. I still kept his shirt on, though, and found my way back to the kitchen to drink water.

“You like milk in your coffee?” Matthew asked me when he met up with me downstairs.

“I like diabetes in my coffee,” I said, laughing.

“Me too,” he said with some laughter as well.

He made two cups and sat with me, his knee brushing mine. I was sad he put his sweats back on, but there wasn’t much I could do about that.

Well, there was, but for how sore I was and how much we had to move on with our day, I had to have some semblance of responsibility today.

“Besides being sore, do you feel okay?”

I sipped the hot coffee and felt my cheeks flush.

  “Um, I’m fine.”

I smiled nervously. There was something about the phrasing of that question that made me feel just a little off kilter, like there was something he was expecting me to say. He grinned at me, his hand coming down over my knee and squeezing.

“Are you still doing that thing where you get nervous around me?”

He had humor in his tone that made me smile.

“No I just… I’m not used to this is all.”

It was true. Most of the nerves were gone, probably because sex was the most intimate thing we could have done physically; there weren’t going to be very many nerves associated with that. But it was also true that I definitely wasn’t used to this.

He gulped his coffee and smiled down at me, making a show of clearing his throat.

“You should get used to it. I’m trying to be a stand-up guy here.”

“Thank you… I think,” I said, mulling over my thoughts as I tried to make sense of what he was saying. “Do you usually not do that? I mean… if there’s a chance I might get hurt, I’d like to prepare myself.”

I licked my dry lips and wished I hadn’t said anything at all. But, as usual, Matthew saved me.

“There isn’t. I’m going to try at least. I care about you, Grace.”

I could see the honesty in his eyes.

“I care about you too Matthew.”

He leaned in to kiss me.

Then there was a knock at the door.

  Michael had arrived.

  And so had Matthew’s mother.

  11

  Matthew

I greeted my Mom at the front door, still laughing about the fact that Grace was hiding in my bedroom.

As soon as she realized who it was, she all but lost her mind, sprinting upstairs so that Mom wouldn’t see she had spent the night. It was kind of cute how she didn’t want to meet my mom that way, even though she had already before. I could kind of understand where she was coming from, but that didn’t mean I wasn’t going to tease her a little bit about it.

  “Good morning. You came early.”

I hugged my Mom, dressed in jeans and a sweater with her light hair pulled back.

  “Oh were you sleeping?”

She walked in with Michael toted behind her in his gray sweats and a t-shirt.

“Hello Uncle Matt,” he said, giving me a high five on the way in and taking himself straight to his room.

  “Matthew?” my mother asked again.

While Mom was never the type of person to poke and prod at our dating lives, she was also someone who was not afraid to know the truth. It would have been a graver sin for me to lie to her than to have had sex with someone, and so I acted accordingly, telling her the truth.

  “No…I have company.”

Fortunately, Mom just grinned at me and shook her head. I knew at some point she would have a conversation with me, warning me to make sure I knew Grace was good for me and that I was acting rationally, but for now, I was just happy to not have to deal with any drama.

“Well, I need to go to the hospital,” she said, perhaps giving me an even bigger break than I had anticipated.

  “Oh, gotcha.”

Unfortunately, I had drastically misread the situation.

“Who do you have over for company?”

I laughed nervously, tried not to make eye contact with her, and then invariably did when I saw she wasn’t going to back down. She leaned her head forward, waiting for me to confess the truth.

  “Someone,” I said.

My mother smirked and rolled her eyes. Just not while Grace is here. I’ll tell you then.

“Whatever. Look, when your brother gets back, we are all going to have dinner at the house together. So keep your calendar open.”

  “Got it,” I said.

“Be nice to your lady friend.”

Ah, Jesus, Mom. She laughed, hugging me goodbye and kissing my cheek before heading out. Mom’s always know. I swear they just always know.

I locked the door behind her and headed quickly over to my bedroom to find Grace sitting cross legged on the bed, vigorously texting on her phone. Michael was well off into his own little adventures by now, which worked just well enough for me.

“Important conversation?” I said, startling her.

“Oh um… not really. Is Michael here?” she said, tucking her half-dried hair behind her ear.

I went to sit next to her, placing my hand on her knee.

  “Yeah, he’s in his room.”

Her eyes met mine and I grinned at her softly. A curious question came to mind that I wanted to make sure I was OK asking.

  “Can I ask you something?”

“Yeah,” she said, nervous that I might be asking a hard question. “What’s up?”

“Has Michael always been like this?”

“How so?” she said, giggling in relief that I hadn’t asked an insanely tough question.

I thought to myself on how, exactly, I wanted to phrase the question. I wasn’t getting a lot of good answers.

“I don’t know. Kind of different. Simon was like that, but it’s not really the same, I guess.”

I figured she would know what I meant since she was the one that watched him grow up and knew him as well as Rosella does.

Unfortunately, Grace just sighed and shrugged her shoulders.

“Michael isn’t weird or different. He’s actually a really funny and witty kid. But he doesn’t know you that well, any of you. So he isn’t all that comfortable around you.”

I nodded slowly. It explained why he was different yesterday when the three of us were out together. I had never seen him laugh so much, tell jokes like that, but now, knowing Grace was there made sense.

  “Oh.”

It was a little painful, admittedly—I wanted to be the cool uncle he could feel comfortable with and hang out with. But I figured that would come in due time, anyways, so I tried not to worry about it too much.

“Yeah. I’m sure it will be different the more time you spend with him.”

  “I hope so.”

Then some even stronger truths came out.

“I just wish I hadn’t missed so much time with him, you know?” I said, surprised at how emotional I was feeling. “Like I know he isn’t my son, but Simon feels the same way, so I can’t add onto his worries like that. I like being an uncle, but I feel like I’m doing all the wrong things.”

She took my hand in hers and leaned in close, doing everything she could to reassure me.

“You’re doing a great job, Matthew. Michael loves spending time with you. He loves being with all his new uncles. It’s just…”

Her brows furrowed as she trailed off. I squeezed her hand and searched her eyes for an answer before she continued.

“He doesn’t… he never had a real family. It was just Ros and me. He didn’t have any male figures in his life, no family dinners and parties and stuff like that. Anything his grandfather allowed, he could have easily taken it away and he did sometimes.”

“So he thinks this is temporary?”

No wonder. He’s afraid to connect because he knows it will all just leave him. Damn…

  “Yeah. T
hings used to be for him. All you can do is be consistent. Kids catch on fast.”

I smiled softly at Grace. I could never express enough appreciation at how easy it was to talk to her, to confide in her. I hadn’t had that feeling with anyone, not even my brothers, and it was a glorious feeling to have.

“You know a lot about kids,” I said with a smile.

“I only learned from Michael, really.”

Her smile, in turn, was sheepish.

“Well, you’re pretty good at it.”

I paused as a seemingly inevitable question bubbled to the surface.

“Do you want kids of your own?”

Thankfully, she seemed to beam at the question.

“Yeah, someday. Ros and I had to figure it out when we were pretty young, so I’d want to be older first. What about you?”

I chuckled and slid my hand farther up her leg. If she had asked this question a month ago… well first, I’d be wondering why Grace was suddenly talking to me after all that time away. But once I settled down, the answer would have been “never.”

  Now?

“Someday,” I said, leaning in and kissinig her cheek, right at the corner of her lips. “I think I’d rather practice making them for a while.”

She laughed as she kissed me with fervor, her arms linking around my neck. I carried her into my lap, forgetting that Michael was just downstairs. She straddled my waist, and I gripped her fleshy thighs hard, right under ass. I dragged her onto my cock, the heat of her bare pussy searing through my sweats. I had officially lost all self-control around her.

“Matthew,” she said, moaning against my lips and pulling away.

I groaned and loosened my grip.

  “Right. Michael. And you’re sore.”

Her lips are pursed and swollen. Despite what I had said, though, she didn’t seem bothered; in fact, she seemed rather aroused.

  “Yeah, Michael is here now.”

As if fate was proving the point, there came a knock at my door. It was pretty obvious who it was.

“Uncle Matt, I’m hungry. Can you make me something to eat?”

I couldn’t help but laugh at the kid’s adorable begging. He really was cute and brought a little bit of light into my life that wasn’t there before. Definitely want kids now. Definitely, most definitely.
