Beasts Awakened

“*Sigh* Just what do you want?” Leila asked in a defeated tone. She thought only young hormonal boys had such attitudes, not Aliens. “And unless it’s like directions or the use of the Intenet, I doubt I can help you out.”
“It’s more than that,” Mugen admitted, raising his hand. A bright projection shot out of his fingers, forming a map of the planet Earth. “You see, this is not the first time that my race has ended up on this particular planet.”
“And why has your race ended up on this particular planet?” Leila asked. She could see the Map, and she could see the dots, there were various dots all over the place, some were in the USA, some were in Europe and so on. What mystified her, though, were the bright Red colored dots. These were the dots that weren’t moving or flickering. They stayed normal. “And what are those red dots.”
“From what I gathered of your mind, the countries of Mexico, Chile, Italy, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, New Zealand and a place in Antarctica are the spots where the remnants of those of my race had settled down. Here I need to find some parts.” Mugen said, as normal as he could have gotten. “Parts that will help me to get back on my mission, to explore the far depths of the universe.”
“So that means there are other planets with aliens as well?” The woman asked, her eyes widening. For the first time she wasn’t facing herself racking with fear of the man in front of her, but curiosity. “Earth and your Planet, what else?”
“It’s a bit of a long story if you want to know.” The Alien admitted. “But, as you humans or every single one of the beings on this planet believe, the world doesn’t revolve around you. There are over 8.37 Billion other planets that have life in them, and the number is still growing. Out of those 8.37 billion planets, 1 million Planets are far more advanced then you, my planet is one of those.”
“And what gives you the right to call yourself advanced?!” Leila demanded. Of course, she would, this was her race she was talking about. “I don’t think there was a comparison between us and all the other planets.”
“Of course, there wasn’t. None of these said planets except a few out of the larger dynasties of the Universe have contact with each other. All the other planets are all on their own. It prevents intergalactic wars and colonization, you see. Imagine if Mars also had life and you ‘invaded’ the Martian space.”
“But that doesn’t explain why you call yourself advanced.” Leila huffed haughtily. “So what if you can change your DNA? What else can you do?”
“Do you want to know?” Mischief danced along in Mugen’s eyes. “Because if you do, then you’ll have to come with me everywhere I go to get the parts.”
“Oh really, and as if I have all that money to go everywhere you said. I don’t even know how to get to Antarctica in the first place.” Leila said sarcastically. At his confused face, she sighed and fished out a 100 dollar bill out of her bag. “See this? This piece of paper is all that matters in the world. Without this, you can’t do anything. This is called money and this is 100 dollars. To travel around as much as you want us to do, we will need about 500 of these notes, which will accumulate to around 50000 dollars, perhaps even more.”
Mugen looked at the note she had in her hand and took it from her. He shook it over and watched what it looked like, burning the image into his mind. Then he closed his eyes and gave the note back to Leila. Leila looked at what the boy was going to do. ‘Man’ she reminded herself. He was a man, not a boy. When Mugen opened his eyes again, they were glowing pure blue. He raised a palm and a blue colored distortion appeared on his palm. The distortion started to take shape of a strange rectangular thin figure and then multiplied. There was a bright flash of light followed by which there was a bundle of what seemed to be 1000 of those bills. In a shot, he had created, out of nowhere, 100000$, an amount of money she doubted she would see anywhere.
“Holy fu..... ho how in t the..... y you....” Leila couldn’t help but stutter out. D Did he just make money out of nowhere? “HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!”
“Matterless conjuration is one of our skills, you see.” The Alien smiled. This time it had all the emotion needed in the world behind it. “We have created devices that use the particles on the planet that allows us to make things out of nowhere. Of course, for someone like me who is a natural born conjurer, I can do it without it.”
“Y you are a god.” She whispered out, looking up at him with her eyes wide. “How can you do that and not even take advantage of it you fool? Do you know insane that is? You can be the richest person in the world with that!”
“Riches, yes, another thing about the human civilization that they need to forgo before they can become advanced. I will admit, for someone as young as you are, barely 20000 years old, you have shown quite the amount of development. Races far older then you have not been able to do anything that you have, in fact, the Plotornian Civilization in the planet of Plotornia has not yet able to make use of waves to communicate!” Mugen said, chuckling. “But that’s a story for another time, is it not? Now then, another example of my powers if you would put it that way.”
Mugen stood up, and outstretched his palms, both of them facing outwards towards the walls all around him. Then he closed his eyes and focused, and focused. And right in front of Leila’s eyes, it happened. Mugen was surrounded by a blue glow, and then her house came to life. It seemed as if her entire house was moving on its own. Cracks were being mended, old was becoming new, her couch extended and turned into that of an insanely expensive couch that she wished to have, and it kept on changing and changing and changing that even if the area of her house remained the same as it was, the interiors were so damned different and changed that it seemed to be a brand new house. In fact, if she painted the outside walls of this house, and asked to sell it, she would easily get a couple millions of it!
“Natural transmutation and parallel mind focus. It’s a skill every being is capable of, but it is only the matter of unlocking it.” Mugen smiled, putting his hands down. “By my estimate, the value of this house was around 550,000 dollars after you moved in. Now it is a total of 3.47 million dollars, fully furnished. I hope you like my gift.”
“Why?” She finally whispered out. “Why do you do this to me? Why me? What has you interested in me?”
“Because you’re not afraid,” Mugen said, walking closer to her and tracing a finger down her chin. His touch was warm, very warm, yet had a sense of cool to it. But even if he was an Alien, she found herself attracted to the touch, and just looked at him with glittering eyes. “Don’t think I don’t know about your fear and trepidation, but it is not the fear of what I am that scares you, but what I will do. And I assure you, I am not going to kidnap you, neither am I going to take you up to some horrific scientific chamber to do experiments on you, I prefer the less intelligent races on this planet to do so rather then you humans, unless of course there is just something about this person that makes me want to do it. But no, I am interested in you because you aren’t afraid to show that you’re not just some ‘meek little girl’ that will let people walk over you, and I respect that.”
Leila gulped. This was the first time someone had tore through her masks and her mind to summarize her entire attitude and nature. The Alien, she’d really have to stop thinking him as such, smiled once again and let his hand go.
“So, Ms. Jones, will you mind accompanying me all over the world for this trip of mine?” Mugen asked once again. This time, there was no hesitation from Leila, for she wasn’t just afraid of him. She was very curious about him as well. So with a firm nod of her head, she accepted.
“But I will have to do something of my job first,” Leila said, popping her neck and then smirking. “Besides, I have not taken a leave ever since I joined and my boss is forcing me to go on a vacation of sorts. So I might ask him to give me a 1-month leave, I think that will be enough for us, won’t it?”
When Mugen looked at her blankly, she blushed in embarrassment. Right, Alien, got it.
“W well, that wil
l be it then. I’ll call my boss and tell him that we’ll be gone for the time being.” Leila said, getting up. She then realized something. “Wait, you don’t have anywhere to live, do you?”
“No. My ship has been carefully locked away with a lot of protection over it. No one will be able to find it except me.” Mugen replied, shaking his head. He kept the bundle of notes he had on the table and looked at the girl, tilting his head. “So I don’t know what to do or where to go. I would like to know more about your planet.”
“Well, the internet’s the best place to be,” Leila said, pointing towards her computer, one of the only things that still remained the same. “It’s my computer. I hope you can use it properly.”
Mugen looked at it, and his eyebrows raised as he walked towards it. He touched the screen and closed his eyes, and in 2 seconds opened them. He already knew how this device worked, he used it himself, just a lot more advanced, but he could work with it. Nodding at the woman, he sat down and switched it on, and on the other hand, Leila got on to getting into her room and pondering what the hell had she got herself into now.
When she was finally in the comfort of her own room, Leila finally let it all out and collapsed on the bed, screaming as loud as she could to stop the frustration from taking over. She screamed and screamed and screamed as she thought of what she had gotten herself into.
‘You rescue an Alien that can pass off as a god on this planet. Amazing.’ Leila thought to herself. She didn’t hear any sounds coming from the outside and remembered the said Alien could probably read her mind. ‘Ughh....... privacy is so difficult, damn it!’
Though truly speaking, she as also excited about the little trips that they were going to go all the way around the world. Yeah, truthfully, she couldn’t wait.
Chapter 3- The Journey Around The World.
Her boss had been strangely very happy to be rid of her. When she joked about it, he had laughed and said to her, ‘about time you got on a vacation. I expect to see photos!’
Truthfully, she didn’t know when she was going to come back herself, the travel across the seven continents was going to be a hassle. Though first of all was the part where they would have to go to bloody Antarctica for whatever reason he wanted to go to. According to Mugen, the artifact, or the part, he was searching for was near the coast near Chile, so that would mean that they could kill 2 birds with 1 stone, not only getting the part in Chile but also in Antarctica. So for that, they were going to have to get some permits to get into Antarctica and that was going to be difficult. Of course, since this wasn’t a ‘legal’ expedition, it was going to take them a while to plan everything out. So they went on for dealing with what seemed to be the easiest and the closest one. Mexico.
“Alright.” After depositing all the money into her bank account(Very Carefully), she found herself on the booking site, trying to book a ticket to Mexico. “Let’s see, United, booked. Virgin, booked, Delta, booked, American, booked. Okay, we have literally no flights to Mexico!”
Mugen looked at what the screen and what she was trying to do. He could see various numbers of aircrafts, the pricing of their tickets and how much would it cost them to get from the country to another, possibly bordering country. “Is there no other way?”
“Well, unless we want to get there via car, then yes there is.” The girl snorted. “But alas, we don’t have a single car.”
“Hmm..... a vehicle might not be so bad considering where we are and what we have to do.” Mugen agreed. “But, a land vehicle is not what we need at the moment. Tell me, are there no other flights that head to Mexico?”
“Well, there’s one. It’s stated to leave at.... around 1 hour. We’ll never get there in time.” Leila pouted. She had packed her bags and her passport and was ready to go. Another trick of his that Mugen had shown up. She had taken him to Los Angeles visa offices, and he had visited the Embassies of the country they wanted to go. She thought it would take him 2 full weeks to get the visas. Imagine her surprise when not only did he walk out with all the visas required, but also a passport for him. When she asked him what had he done, he had winked and told her ‘personal secret’. Leila was dying of the curiosity he seemed to leave her in, but couldn’t help but pout and whine. Mugen looked at the plane, and then at the girl. Then he smirked.
“Book it,” Mugen said, walking out of the door. He didn’t have any clothes, but just for the sake of it, he had packed a bag that Leila had given him with some personal hygiene stuff and a pair of night clothes that he had ‘obtained’ from the neighbor. Leila looked at him, wondering why would he do that, but shrugged and booked the 2 tickets they needed to get to Mexico. She didn’t know what the Alien was going to do to get them to the Airport in time, but she trusted him that he was going to be able to get them there. When she got her bag and locked her house, her locking systems were upgraded too, she turned around to see a taxi waiting for them. Wondering what the man had planned, she made sure to check if she had anything missing and sat down with Mugen on the back seat.
Mugen sat down and waited for the taxi to go ahead further. When he believed they were a considerable distance ahead, he grabbed the Taxi-Driver’s shoulder with one hand, and the car with the other. This experience was one of the best experiences that she had felt in her entire life. It seemed as if the entire Car had gotten a mind of its own and zoomed down the motorway and as fast as it could, towards the airport. Hell, she was sure she saw the sound barrier crackdown as well, that’s how fast they were headed and she didn’t care. It was amazing, the feeling, the senses that exploded all over the place, it was absolutely amazing.
“Wow,” Leila said wondrously as, within 2 minutes, they were outside the Airport. All the while, the driver had a wondrous, dazed look on his face. Looking at the fare, she was shocked to see it is only 28 dollars, the same fare one would pay to get to the airport. Looking at Mugen, once again with her eyes wide, she sighed and rolled her eyes. “When will you stop surprising me?”
“Until the day when all that wonder of yours over what I do goes away,” Mugen replied back cheekily. She smacked him on the leg for that once but grinned back as the 2 of them entered the airport. This was the first time that Mugen was looking at a human airport and he looked around, finding himself impressed with the size of it while Leila was the one that led him on towards the nearest boarding booth she could find. 10 minutes later, they had not only gone through security in about 3 minutes but also gotten their boarding passes.
“Keep your eyes in front of you, Mugen,” Leila said to him, dragging him along wherever she went. She had been to the airport only 5 times in her life, 3 times with her family during vacations, and 2 times with her friends, but she knew enough about the airport to guide him as to where he had to go. He was so curious about the airport he somehow managed to get himself really close to Victoria’s secret. He was mesmerized by what he was seeing so he just tagged along, trying his best to find one thing or the other to look around. Finally, they found a good enough sitting spot for them to sit down and eat some food, and this was the first time that the boy was going to try and eat some human food.
Needless to be said, it was some of the tastiest food he’d ever eaten. He didn’t know there could be a sandwich made such as this, he didn’t even know that one could make a combination of one of these things, and he didn’t know how good they tasted. All he knew was, he wanted to eat, more and more of it. The vegetables, the meats, the cheese, the sauces, all of them were so amazing and so good, that he couldn’t help but look at Leila, who was looking at him amusedly.
“You like it?” Mugen nodded, completely and utterly distracted by the taste that exploded in his mouth after eating the thing. He licked his lips and looked back down onto the wrappers that he had on his plate and looked up. “It’s called a Sandwich, it’s filled with different types of Vegetables, sauces, meat, and eggs. It’s one of the most famous dishes in the country, the world even.”
“It’s good.” Mugen nodded, smiling
slightly. “In my planet, we don’t have food like this.”
“You don’t? Well, that explains why you were so thin.” Leila teased him. Her earlier fear of him had literally vanished as she now trusted him, she didn’t know why he just seemed like a cool person. At his slightly embarrassed and abashed look, her interest piqued. “I presume there’s a reason for that.”
“You see..... my race is called the Penschians. My home planet is Penschia, one of the biggest planets in the galaxy. As a Penschian, we’re..... not exactly beings made for strength and fighting. That form you saw, that wasn’t even my true form. Hell, I myself don’t know my true form. All I know is that all of my kin have blue-tinted skin and blue hair. Other than that, you can say our body structure is not solid, it’s more like one of these ‘spirits’ you talk about. And as spirits, we don’t eat solid foods. Nutrients are supplied to us in a gaseous state that we inhale through our noses. This is the first time I’m actually eating something with my mouth and it feels, I don’t know, right.”
“Well, you said you’re now a Human, aren’t you?” Leila asked. At his nod, she tilted her head. “Perhaps that is why you feel right. I myself love Sandwiches very much and I know how much I love to eat them. You used some of my DNA to build your body, I guess that love for sandwiches passed on to you.”
