  A DEEPER LOOK

Manticore: The Manticore was a mighty mythological creature described as having the head and face of a man, the body of a lion, and the tail of a scorpion. Some describe it as having wings as well. It was cunning and nearly impossible to defeat. The beast was said to be greedy for human flesh, using tricks to lure men to it so it could devour them with its three rows of sharp teeth.

The Flannan Isles Lighthouse: The lighthouse on Eilean Mor of the Flannan Isles off the coast of Scotland is home to a real life mystery. One night in 1900, three keepers of the lighthouse disappeared without a trace. Some speculate a storm washed them out to sea, while others report journal entries that suggest otherwise. The mystery was never solved, and the island continues to attract the attention of wanna-be sleuths to this day.
