The Intruder

Although normally a better sleuth when looking trough murder suspects new apartments, Jacob found himself needing to make a necessary escape… Into the neighbor, Keri's, apartment. Keri needed a miracle when she was alone in the city and sick as a dog and Jacob suddenly appeared from her attack and then her closet… And he wants to take care of her, which she both needs and yet, not too amazingly, is not too quick to trust this intruder that immediately shed worry, concern, and chicken soup on her. This might have been enough to break the ice—and her high fever—but there's other issues at stake. Keri is next door to a murderous perp who deals in white-slavery, and gets caught up in the mess. Could this intruder end up as her rescuer? Or will she be up to her head in trouble with nowhere to go?
