Rough Edges
by Adriana Hunter
I was used to being overlooked for the usual brand of Barbie, but this time was different. This time I was the center of attention…his attention, and it terrified me… and thrilled me. What I didn’t expect when I left the bar with him that night was to wake up in his bed, bound with red silk ties, unable to move. And when he told me that I was just a player in his wicked game, I knew that I had made a terrible mistake and crossed a line that I wasn't ready for. I didn’t ask for this. I didn’t want it. He doesn't seem to understand that I'm not the girl for this. I want him to let me go, to let me hide out in the shadows of my comfort zone. Instead I'm forced to surrender while he ignores my boundaries. He wants me and that's all that matters. Maybe there's a soft, smooth side to this dangerous stranger of mine. Something beyond his tough exterior, his rough edges.
