City of Stone (The Watchers Trilogy, Book Two)
by T. C. Edge
After surviving the attack of the Eden soldiers, Cyra and her friends, along with her rediscovered father, Drake, travel through the mountain tunnels, going deeper into the Deadlands.
When they reach the other side, thousands of refugees await them, ready to be led to safety. And in this harsh and bitter world, there's only one place that can give them that.
Led by Drake, the refugees cross the wasteland to the great city of Petram, an impenetrable fortress in the western mountains. Run by a man known only as The Master, head of the entire rebel cause, the city swells as more and more refugees flee the war down below.
Soon, however, that great fortress threatens to become a tomb. With an Eden army amassing in the valleys below, cutting off their supply lines, things start to get desperate. And with no real army to fight, only one choice remains: to strike back, right at the heart of Eden. And that heart is Augustus Knight...
A plan is formed, and Cyra is once more at the centre of it all. With so few Watchers at their disposal, a small team strike out from the City of Stone with one single directive: kill Augustus Knight.
