Read Heart of Montana Storyline:

Heart Of Montana: PROLOGUEAdrian looked around his empty apartment. The third floor of the aging triple-decker off Central Square in Cambridge had been home for the last five years, but now it was 'So long Massachusetts' and 'Hello Montana.' The few things he had of any value had gone to the attic of his parent's home in Portland, Maine, and the rest he'd given away to friends or donated. He had shipped a few boxes of necessities out to the clinic in Red Wheel: sheets and towels, some kitchen basics, his winter clothes, and, of course, his reference books. Everything else he needed, he would have to acquire locally.CHAPTER ONEThunk, thunk...thunk, thunk. Adrian sighed. It was the unmistakable sound of a flat tire. Easing the truck to the side of the dusty road, he wondered if he even had a jack and a tire iron. That used car dealer in Billings had seemed a little dodgy, he thought, but the price had been right on the small, white pick-up. There was some rust on one fender, and some dents in the doors, but the motor turned over on the first try, and all in all, in had driven beautifully.CHAPTER TWOAdrian had a piping hot pot of fresh coffee ready when Randall drove up, and he had baked biscuits. They were just the frozen kind, but a guy couldn't expect too much from a boy who'd only been moved in for a day. What he did have, though, was a jar of his mom's wild blueberry preserves from Maine.CHAPTER THREEAdrian leaned in slightly, just enough to signal his receptivity to more intimacy, and Clayton responded with firm and eager lips. One of Clayton's hands trailed down and gently kneaded Adrian's muscular butt cheek as Adrian slipped a hand behind Clayton's neck. Their bodies crushed together, and Adrian could feel Clayton hard and ready, and the thought of that lean body naked against his made Adrian hard, too. He drew in a quick breath and fought the urge to start ripping off Clayton's clothes; reason needed to prevail for a moment.CHAPTER FOURThe sound of birds woke Adrian the next morning. He looked at the clock, only 5:30 and still dark, but the songbirds were up and going. As he threw back the sheet and got out of bed, he wished that he was feeling a little more chipper. He pulled on some shorts and padded into the kitchen to make coffee, and then wondered if meth-head man had spied on him as well. He didn't even know the guy's name, but he did know that the idea of someone peeping through his windows gave him the creeps. The thing that troubled him most was the drug-fueled desperation that made this guy willing to throw good people under the bus.CHAPTER FIVEThe next morning, as he looked for a parking space at Bear Paw, Adrian decided to edge the passenger side of his truck right up next to the brick wall, so that the patients coming and going wouldn't see the slur. He wondered if Bud's garage could give him a fast paint job, but he worried more about the perpetrator. Clearly meth-head wanted him to know that he was being watched.ALSO BY C.K.
