She clears her throat with the gentlest of coughs. “Well then. You’ll be taken to the hermitage at once. Always remember you are not to speak to anyone for any reason. From dawn to dusk, whenever you’re not doing what needs must, you are to pray for the health and good fortune of the household. Understood?”
