Why did my heart beat so erratically? Why was I mesmerized with every move he made? This bigwig was on his knees on the side of my bed, taking my cock down his throat, and the sight made me want to come.

Richard sucked me from root to tip and then shoved my legs to my chest as he licked at my balls. But he didn’t stop there. He ate my ass, his tongue probing at my asshole.

I went fucking nuts, whimpering and calling out his name and begging him not to stop. His hands curled around my legs, right behind my knees as he kept them parted, licking, sucking, and moaning.

Or had that been me who was moaning? Both? I didn’t care at this point. What he was doing felt amazing as my muscles quivered and my chest rose and fell in heavy pants.

I rode his face as he slid a finger into my ass then another. I had to clamp a hand at the base of my cock so I wouldn’t come. Not yet. I didn’t want to come too soon. When I exploded, I wanted Richard buried inside me.

Just when I didn’t think I could handle any more without blowing my load, I heard a wrapper crinkle and knew Richard was suiting up. I took that moment to breathe, to try and settle my body, but he didn’t give me a moment. Richard rose to his feet, and I scrambled backward on the bed, giving him enough room to climb on and settle between my legs.

He stared down at me with those amazing steel-gray eyes. Those fucking eyes. They were darker than before, filled with liquid lust. They fueled me into reaching for him, pulling him toward my body. This was where I should’ve turned onto my hands and knees. This was where the act became just physical, no emotions involved. Even with that knowledge, with my brain screaming at me to stop getting lost in his achingly beautiful eyes, I couldn’t move. I simply couldn’t make myself turn away.

The kiss was tender, sweet, and had me moaning into his mouth as the head of his cock pressed against my hole. I curled my legs around his waist, opening myself up to him as he drove in deep, his thick cock stretching me wide.

I hissed into his mouth at the burn, loving every second of it as he kept giving me sweet, soul-stirring kisses.

By tomorrow morning I would have raw lips. Richard wasn’t the only one who hadn’t kissed this much. And just like him, I couldn’t seem to get enough.

That was until he started thrusting into my ass. I tilted my head back as he nibbled his way across my jaw, punching his hips forward, driving me fucking crazy.

Never had I thought to find Richard again, even though I’d actively sought him out. Never had I thought he would be in my bed, fucking me like a dream. But this was what I’d craved for an entire month, fantasizing about every position and flat surface we could fuck on.

My bed hadn’t been in any of this fantasies, but I wasn’t about to stop to tell him to take me on the kitchen table or bend me over the back of my couch.

The bed would do this time.

This time? Get your head out of your ass. This is a one-off. There will be no repeat. I shut the lid on those thoughts as Richard reared back and pushed my legs toward my chest. He stared at where we were connected before he looked at me.

  “So fucking pretty.”

Was he talking about his cock in my ass or my face? I didn’t ask. I told myself I didn’t care. I just wanted to get my rocks off. I didn’t care about his breakup or that he didn’t trust easily. I wasn’t going to allow myself to fall for this sexy prick.

I wasn’t going to crave another kiss from this man, even as I pulled him back down to me and devoured his lips. Oh god. I wanted to feel those sensual lips on mine for the next hundred years as I reached between our bodies and curled my fingers around my cock.

Richard tossed one of my legs over his arm, pistoning into me, making me cry out his name as my buildup came fast and hard. My orgasm slammed into me as I erupted over my chest, my body pulsing with my release.

As if my orgasm triggered Richard’s, he buried himself inside me and came, calling out my name, which sounded sweet as fuck.

He eased from my body and collapsed next to me, both of us gasping for breath. I started to roll from the bed to clean up as Richard tied off the condom and tossed it toward my trashcan, which he missed, by the way.

But Richard pulled me toward him and cuddled against me, spooning me as he dropped soft, small kisses on my neck and shoulder.

“Next time you come to my place.” He nipped my shoulder.

Next time? I opened my mouth to tell him there wouldn’t be a next time because I saw myself falling for him.

Instead, I nodded, unable to stop the smile from curling my lips. I turned over and looked at him, into those mesmerizing eyes. “Are you saying you want to see me again?” I teased.

He cupped my face and pressed our foreheads together. My heart quickened as he smiled. “Do you think I got enough of you tonight?”

  I shrugged.

He laughed and shook his head. Smiling Richard was handsome as fuck. I’d take that over a scowl any day. “If you think I’m done with you, you have another think coming.”

Two weeks later, we were still seeing each other and still craving each other’s lips. I was starting to see a future with Richard, and I didn’t panic about that because Richard saw a future with me. He’d admitted that just yesterday when he asked me to move in with him.

I said yes, in case you were wondering.

  Geek Love

“You should give him a second chance,” Mitch said as we jogged side by side on the treadmills. “He seemed totally into you, Michael.”

I didn’t want to talk about the sexiest guy I’d ever met. Devlin Haaz had been cruising Cherry Pit, one of the hottest gay clubs in town. That hadn’t been a respectful place to meet a guy. Though it had been my idea to get my best friend out of the house.

  Still.

“How can you afford a gym membership here?” I looked down at the stats on my treadmill. I’d jogged close to a mile. That was a new record for me. I might’ve been slim, but I was also pathetically out of shape. The most I’d ever run was from my air conditioning in the car into a store.

My heart felt as though it would give out at any second. My leg muscles burned, and I was sweating like I’d just jumped into a pool.

I hit the buttons on my machine and slowed my pace to a crawl, barely hanging onto the handles.

“This is Richard’s gym. He gave me two guest passes to use,” Mitch said, keeping up his pace.

I was shocked he could jog for this long. Mitch wasn’t in the best shape, but it looked as though he’d been putting in the effort since meeting Richard.

Screw working out. It was too much hard work that I wasn’t willing to commit to. But I missed hanging out with Mitch. Ever since he’d started seeing Richard, I’d been left in the dust.

We shared a mutual acquaintance named Jason, and as of late, Jason and I had been doing lunches together. I liked the guy, don’t get me wrong, but Jason wasn’t Mitch, and I truly missed my best friend.

I gave up on the treadmill and stopped it, taking a seat on the end of the belt where I downed my bottle of water.

“I know you too well,” Mitch huffed as he walked at a fast pace. “Don’t sidetrack me. What was so wrong with…what was his name?”

“Devlin was pushy, arrogant, and too full of himself.” I used my small towel to wipe the sweat from my face and neck. I wanted to hit the showers and let the cool, clean water wash away my funk, but my legs just didn’t have the strength right now to carry me to the locker room.

Had I mentioned how much I hated exercise? Next time Mitch wanted to meet, it would be in a coffeehouse. Though the man candy in this place had me sweating for other reasons.

For instance, the guy over in the corner lifting weights. He wasn’t wearing any underwear. I could tell by the pendulum swing of his cock as he repeatedly squatted then stood. I could watch him all day.

Another hottie was laying on a bench lifting weights. I sighed as his muscles flexed and bulged. I wouldn’t mind riding his cock as he worked out.

  Mitch fi
nally slowed, wiping his sweat-soaked skin with his own towel. “Richard was a dick when I first met him.”

  A bubble of laughter escaped.

“What?” Mitch asked with furrowed brows.

  “Richard had been a dick?”

He rolled his eyes and threw his used towel at me. I shrieked and batted it away. If it had been Pendulum Dick who’d thrown the material at me, I would’ve caught the towel and sniffed at his musky scent. Same with Weight Man.

But it had been Mitch’s towel. Gross. “Throw your nasty sweat at me again and I’ll smother you with the towel.”

Mitch chuckled as he walked on the treadmill at a snail’s pace. “You know you love how I smell. Throw the towel back and I’ll dry my sweaty balls with it.”

I gagged, and not in a playful way. “I just threw up in my mouth.”

Mitch got off the machine. He stood in front of me, and I stared at his muscled, hairy legs. His basketball shorts clung to his skin, and though I smelled his sweat, he didn’t stink.

He picked up the towel from the floor and waved it at my face. “You know you love my funk.”

I stood and shoved at him. “You better stop or I’ll drown you in the showers.”

Yeah, I knew that hadn’t made any sense, but that had been the best threat I could come up with. I wasn’t the physical type, had never gotten into a fight in my entire life, and was so nonviolent that instead of killing spiders, I trapped them in my house and released them outside. Spiders had their purpose in the world, and who was I to unbalance nature?

“All I’m saying is that you should maybe give Devlin another chance.” Mitch tossed the towel over his shoulder and leaned against the treadmill. “Or give some guy a chance. I’ve never seen you with anyone, and I hate that you’re alone.”

“Alone, but not lonely,” I lied. “Just because you found someone doesn’t mean you get to needle me about doing the same.” I headed toward the locker room, so over this conversation.

What Mitch hadn’t known, or anyone else for that matter, was that I’d just had my heart broken six months ago by my college professor. He hadn’t technically been my professor, per se. I’d been working as his assistant and had fallen for the asshole.

When a new, younger college student with doe eyes and blond hair had caught Professor Hackman’s attention, the bastard had forgotten I’d existed.

Suffice to say, I no longer worked for him. Now I worked as an assistant to some crotchety old professor who thankfully didn’t hit on me or try to get into my pants.

  “Richard has some single friends—”

I spun and held up my hand. “Don’t even think about it,” I said, unable to snap at Mitch. I was too passive for my own good.

Mitch tilted his head to the side and studied me. “You’re not a virgin, are you?”

The thought had me bursting with laughter. I slapped him on the shoulder as I shook my head. “Hardly.”

“I mean, it’s okay if you are,” he went on as though I hadn’t said a word. “I’ll just have to approach your dating scene a little differently.”

“Don’t let my nerd status fool you.” I grabbed a towel and headed for the showers, peeling off my sweaty clothes while I walked. “I might be geeky, but I’ve had sex, Mitch.”

He didn’t look as though he believed me. Whatever. I wasn’t about to stand in the middle of the locker room, buck naked, arguing about how much dick I’d had.

But sadly, it hadn’t been much. Before Professor Hackman, I’d been with one other guy. My experience was limited, which was one reason Devlin had scared me off so quickly.

In truth, his flirting hadn’t been that bad. Devlin had been pretty smooth but hadn't held back when telling me what he wanted to do to me—things I hadn't been able to forget since that night.

Mitch’s attempt in finding me the perfect guy fell to the wayside as we showered and went our separate ways. As soon as I left the gym, I hit the closest coffee shop and drowned my sorrows in a venti decaf latte, no foam, double shot espresso with one packet of Stevia.

I led such an exciting life.

  * * * *

“I’m having a dinner party this evening, and you’re invited.”

I looked up from my laptop at Professor Gilman. I’d been so lost in my work that I’d caught only half of what he’d said. “I’m sorry, can you repeat that?”

Normally I wore my contacts all the time but not when working on my laptop. It was more out of habit and comfort that I put my glasses on. I pushed them up the bridge of my nose as I stared at him.

“I said I’m having a dinner party, and you’re invited.” Professor Gilman gathered his paperwork from his desk and stowed them in his briefcase. He didn’t believe in laptops or computers. He was as old-fashioned as they came.

If administration hadn’t forced him to take on an assistant, Professor Gilman would still be grading out of a ledger, and his files would’ve still been scattered all over the place. I’d electronically filed all his work in a folder in a shared cloud account and was still trying to teach him how to use it.

So far, no luck. Professor Gilman and his damn leather briefcase would be the death of me.

“I’m sorry, but I have to—”

He held up his hand. “I won’t take no for an answer.” He scribbled on a Post-it note. “Here’s my address. Be there promptly at six. Dress casual, but not too casual.”

With a withered, shaky hand, he tapped the paper and walked out of his office. Would he fire me if I didn’t show up? What was casual but not too casual? What the fuck did that mean?

I got up and grabbed the bright pink paper from his desk then swallowed as my own hand shook. My boss lived in Forest Hill, an upscale part of town.

I sat back down and pulled my cell phone out. Although I doubted Mitch would know what to wear, I dialed him anyway. My call dumped into voice mail, so I dialed Jason.

“Hey, sexy,” he said when he answered. “I was starting to feel neglected.”

What would a club-hopping twink know about proper attire? Still, I told him about my dilemma, even if only to have someone to talk to.

“Oh, I’ve been to dinner parties before!” Jason sounded as if he was bubbling with excitement. “I’ll meet you at your house in half an hour. Hopefully you have clothing to work with, but it you don’t, we have time to go shopping.”

I wasn't sure if I trusted his judgment. Whenever we’d gone to lunch, Jason had been wearing tight jeans that hung off his hips and a super tight T-shirt that never seemed to reach the waistband of his jeans, always showing off his flat stomach.

“I’m heading out now.” I slipped my laptop into my bag and threw the strap over my shoulder. “I should be home in twenty.”

“See you there.” Jason hung up.

Twenty-five minutes later I walked through the door. Five minutes later Jason rang my doorbell. When I opened it, he had two cups in his hands. He handed me one and sucked on the other through the straw.

“They’re strawberry refreshers and delicious. You can thank me later. Right now I want to see your closet.” He looked me over and grimaced. “No offense, but I think we better go shopping if your outfit is anything to go by.”

I looked down at myself. “What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?”

Jason made a slurping sound as he drank, as though his straw didn’t quite reach the bottom of his cup. “Sweetheart, you’re wearing denim jean shorts, socks and sandals, and a tweed button-down shirt. You wouldn’t know fashion if it bit you on the ass. But don’t worry. I’m here to save you.”

“He said casual, but not too casual. Do you know what that means?”

Jason grabbed my hand and led me out the door, pausing long enough to allow me to lock up my house. “I know exactly what he means. Now trust me that I’ll have you looking fabulous for your little dinner party.”

“My boss lives in Forest Hills.”

Jason stopped and stared at me. “You lucky bastard. I wish I received an in
vitation to party in the Hills.”

With as old as Professor Gilman was, party might’ve been the wrong word. I couldn’t imagine him throwing a kegger with college students parked on the front lawn, so drunk that the cops were called.

I prayed I wasn’t the only young person there. I didn’t want to be surrounded all evening with stuffy old people but had a suspicion my gut was on point.

We spent the next two hours shopping for one lousy outfit. I couldn’t believe how picky Jason was. Three stores and one hundred and fifty dollars later and I walked through my front door with two bags.

I was normally a frugal shopper, so spending that amount on an outfit made me break out in hives. But I had to admit I looked good in my charcoal gray slacks and white button-down shirt. Even my gray oxford shoes were amazing. They’d cost a hundred bucks, but I planned on returning them as soon as the night was over.

I also planned on returning the shirt and slacks.

Jason fussed with my hair until it looked better than anything I could’ve created. I usually swept it to the right and was done with it, but he had it smelling fruity and looking as though I’d just rolled out of bed but still stylish.

Jason took a step back and grinned. “My best masterpiece yet.”

I should’ve known he’d make my hair look great. Jason was a hairstylist, after all. He worked with a mutual friend of ours, Derek, and Derek had had nothing but nice things to say about Jason. But that was just one of Jason’s jobs. He also worked part time for a large company that Richard owned.

I had no idea how he stayed on his feet with his busy life. From what Jason had told me, he also volunteered at his nana’s retirement home at least twice a week. He had to be some sort of Energizer Bunny.

Jason picked up his cup—drinks he had stopped and picked up on our way back here—and sipped on it. “You have an hour, and it’ll take you forty-five minutes to get to Forest Hill.” He gave me a quick peck on the cheek. “Knock ’em dead, handsome.”
