“Really?” Feng Yu asked in an uncertain tone.

“Yes, you have no need to worry...” Myria replied with confidence, each of the fairies who also traveled with the group having a similar confidence on their faces.

“Well, I certainly hope so...” Feng Yu said no longer paying attention to their chats, Zyne also muttered in a similar manner, “Indeed, let us hope so...”

Soon, they arrived before the broad passage way and started to make they’re through the passage as they divided themselves in a small group. After a good while, the entire army had managed to enter to cave where their fates now rested in Goddess of Luck’s hands.

  Two days later.

It was an extremely broad but dark passage, as the walls of the rocky passage had only a few odd stones that glowed in a vague light that lit up a small section of the seemingly endless path leading upwards. These walls were slightly damp as if the waters from the rainy weathers outside had seeped through, trickling down its surface.

A few chucks on stones were scattered across the mossy rocky floor that made ‘crack-crack’ noises as the footsteps of a large group of individuals could be heard slowly making its way through this dark path.

As these footsteps sounded, the silhouettes of its group once more became visible with the trio or quad that led a small squad which was followed by multiple other squads one behind the other up this single path that lead in only on direction. A soft wind blew, gently caressing the hairs of a few individuals and filling the silent the path with a long dragged out noise.

“Two days of walking and no end in sight... sigh. I just want to hurry up and leave here already.” Feng Yu said with a look of fatigue on his face, however, a deep layer of vigilance hid at the depths of his eyes carefully scanned around the path not leaving a single stray stone unturned.

Zyne, and the other escaped prisoners who’ve clearly remembered the residents of this place were also vigil as only the fairies and their princess carefully soared along the path.

“I guess there is no point in worrying about such things now is there... I haven’t checked my War Points in a long time. How much do I have now?” Feng thought to himself as he willed for the information to appear before his eyes.

  Pi---ng!

  “Scanning subject… scan complete!”

“Candidate Class: True Chosen – Feng Yu…”

“Strength Level: E Class | Bloodline: Unique Unknown…”

“Race: Humanity | Force Energy: Uncommon Ancestral Type …”

  “Talent – Half-Paragon Class…”

“Location: ADB - Central Regions, Endless Rain Zone, Radiant Woods…”

  “Survivability Assessment: 35%”

  “War Points: 545000.”

  “-------------------------------------"

  “Stolen the Aqua Perl: 250000...”

“Killed Special Elite Nymph E Class Guard: 5500...”

  “Killed....”

Feng Yu seeing his points felt it to be as expected as the corner of his lips rose in a smile while muttered to himself, “I’m now halfway there, I will soon be able to... eh?” As he was speaking, he couldn’t help but be distracted as a strange scene occurred.

  “War Command Lists.... “

  “-----------”

  “Empty....”

Feng Yu seeing was surprised as he thought to himself, “What’s going on here? Where did the commands go?” The ever so observant Jing Mingyun sensing his change asked, “Yu, what’s wrong?”

Hearing her words Feng Yu cleared his mind and sent her mental message, “Yun’er my War Command List is currently empty, do you know what could be cause for this?”

“I’m not certain... this is something that only the overseer of this realm could find out. Maybe it is undergoing a new change either because of something in the environment or it could simply be out of reach of the overseer’s commands. But I think the former would be more certain as the overseers influence is the entire mystic realm itself.” Jing Mingyun replied.

“I see... then I guess I will have to keep a lookout for anything strange in this path... other than those Aracnians...” Feng Yu replied in an even more cautious tone.

“Un.” Jing Ming responded as she once more calmly rested her head against his back.

After a few more hours of traveling, the group had finally arrived at a broad open space that was no smaller than a few kilometers in width. Its rocky ceiling was covered in layers upon layers of spiderwebs each with a thickness of 1 inch and more, a wrapped-up silk-like cocoon could be seen hanging from the ceiling with large impaled holes at certain sections.

If one looked carefully through these holes, they would notice a few skeletal structures hidden underneath the tightly wrapped webs. Some of them even had their hands plunged out of the webs as if those who were inside put up quite the bit struggling to only in the end free one hand.

On the rocky floor of this spacious area were crumbles rocks, a few bits of moss and a few old dried up bones, oddly enough there even a few well-aged corpses that were scattered about this wide-open space looking to have been ‘fairly recent’ in these natives’ concept of time.

After walking through this open space for a bit, the groups soon noticed something even more strange. At a location that was not too far away from the dried-up corpses there was an even more uncommon sighting, massive sacks no smaller than a few tens of meters that seemed to be broken as if what was inside was currently on loose.

A dark mood filled the area, as it was unknown when it started but a blood red mist had quickly formed within this space, filling it with a vile atmosphere that seeped into one’s soul.

“Gulp!” A few of natives of the allied army couldn’t help but swallow their spit as they felt this mood and glanced around at the scene, while Zyne along with even the previously confident Myria revealed solemn faces.

“I can’t speak for those dried bones, but those corpses look pretty recent to me...” Zyne said in a deep tone as he observed the scene.

Myria hearing this started to sweat as she spoke with a look of uncertainty, “This... this... it wasn’t like this before... that year when we used this route only the bones where here this bloody mist was also not here...”

Her fellow fairies beginning to grow anxious as they also didn’t understand what was going on, Feng Yu hearing this out of curious asked as he tried to quell his own rage at their foolishness, “Might I ask when was the last time that you used this route?”

“About a thousand years ago...” Myria replied with certainty.

“Thousand years ago... thousand years ago.... years ago... ago...” Her words echoing louder than any thunderstorm Feng Yu had ever seen in his life, deep within his mind, his rage exploded while yelled in a manner not like his usual self, “A thousand years ago?! So, you didn’t think that there might have been a change?!”

His words echoing throughout this region, as the previously quiet and spooky blood mist started to change...

  Chapter 118

The Dreadful Aracnians! A Bloody Battle!

  Rustle! Rustle! Rustle!

The sound of many rustling footsteps now resounded throughout the once silent space, as the large group of allied natives along with Zyne, Myria, Feng Yu and Jing Mingyun now looked at the scene before them with shocked gazes.

“Damn! It’s even worse than I thought, with so many of them being awake this will get real nasty real fast! Quickly gathered up, get into battle formations now!” Zyne yelled at the top of his voice as he gripped his hammer firmly by the handle lifting it into the air above his head.

“Fairies, with me we shall cover them from above!” Myria said as she soared above the heads of the group that had assumed a new circular defensive formation. Their ancient weapons placed before them which glowed in resplendent lights as if trying to ward off the approaching evils whose figures were shrouded by the blood red mist.

As if senses the change of their enemies, the f
igures hidden by the blood mist slowly started to reveal themselves as their silhouettes started to grow clearer. There were large creatures over ten meters tall covered with a dense amount of needle-like hair that grew around their many legs that was even longer than their main body. Their carapace gleamed in a bright metallic sheen as their many eyes shone in a sinister dark yellow light.

“So, these are Aracnians... that shell like carapace does not look friendly at all. I have doubts as to whether or not they could be sliced open...” Feng Yu murmured as to himself as he saw the sheen on the Aracnians carapaces, he tightly gripped the handles of Black Lightning and Crimson Ember with a dark look on his face.

“Their shells were used by many famous Dwarfin in the past for forging top-class armor, but that would usually depend on the level of Aracnian that was killed. Although the ones gathered before us are most belong to Rank 2’s, Rank 3’s with a few more powerful Rank 4’s, upon being killed their shells could be used to create armor no weaker than top-class earth rank and top-class heaven rank respectively.” Jing Mingyun said in a solemn tone of voice.

“Then doesn’t this mean that...” Feng Yu hearing her words was stunned as he was about to reply when someone finished his statement.

“Correct, people of the same rank in strength will not be able to harm these creatures in the slightest. To threaten or wound them, one would have to be capable of at least battling creatures or beings one entire force energy class higher, battle rank or in your world’s case cultivation realm above them.” Zyne said in a deep tone.

“You’re telling me that we would need to have at least the peak of Third Layer Battle Prestige to kill these things?!” Feng Yu exclaimed in shock, as if he couldn’t believe something that crazy can exist in this world.

“Un.” Zyne replied with his hammer still hung high above his head, he then looked around at the Aracnians who also seemed to be scoping out their preys before he told the group, “Don’t be fooled by their seemingly lack of preparedness they will attack in swarms once they think we have lost our vigilance!”

Feng Yu and the others hearing this became even more stern as they held their guards up, not even wasting anytime Feng Yu went into his thunderblaze battleform, his blazing thunder energies illuminating all that surrounded them as he assumed battle stance.

One of his legs was placed behind him while another was stretched forwards as he slightly leaned his torso forward, placing one arm directly before him hold one of the swords like a dagger and the other placed over his head with his elbow behind his back as the blade of the sword stretched past his face with its tip pointing towards his furry legged enemies.

“It seems that its once more a situation where it’s all or nothing... heh, if I fear not being able to cut my enemies then what kind of swordsman would I be?” Feng Yu said to himself, despite his uncertainty and multiple shocks and surprise, deep down in his heart was a slight layer of excitement as he was curious how strong the abilities of these Aracnians were.

The Aracnians seeing their enemy’s vigilance remained silent as they didn’t even make communicative noises and stared at their enemies in a classic face off scene.

Swoosh! The winds from the outside rustling their hairy legs along with the hairs of those who had any on the opposing allied army groups. The fairies who flew above the heads of their allies carefully observing the surroundings for any new strange movements.

This scene seemed as if it was about to last for a long time, things quickly changed.

  Swish-swish-swish-swish-swish!

Like the wind itself, these Aracnians moved like blurs, as they swarmed towards their enemies at high speeds taking fully advantage of the power behind their many legs. Almost instantly, they arrived upon the allied army giving the illusion that the very moment their figures vanished was the very moment they arrived before their enemies.

“They’re already upon us! Defend while move forwards prevent them from breaking our formation at all cost! Also, do not get left behind, make stay as one whole unit!” Zyne who seemed experienced with group battle tactics yelled.

The allied army hearing his words quickly began to act as they readied their weapons to parry and repel their foes. Zyne quickly channeled his energies into the hammer that was lifted over his head causing it to start to vibrate as the space around it shook.

“Bright!” With a shout from Zyne once again, the hand of the hammer grew to a length of 20-meters as the block expanded quickly becoming a few hundred meters wide.

Piiiiiii! Quickly, this massive block started to glow in a brilliant light that shone into the eyes of all of speedily charging Aracnians.

“Keeeeee!” The previously silent Aracnians now revealed their voices, as they closed their eyes while stopping their previous assault each of them stopped into place, but it seemed they were more battled hardened than many soldiers as even while disrupted their attacks didn’t pause.

Like blurry shades, a few of their massive front legs ruthlessly swept outwards to the enemies before them in a wild fashion. Their long needle-like hair seeming to have become real needles as they gleamed a balefully sharp light.

Swing-swing-swing! With noses no different from blades, they cut through the bloody air of the space slicing into the armor and weapons of a few of the slow to react native army members.

Clank-clank! As if it were two weapons colliding, the weapons and armor which connected with the legs of the Aracnians made metallic noises as the collision pushed these members of the group outside of the defensive formation.

“Not good! Fairies with me!” Myria shouted as she stretched her palm outwards, a strange looking blow wand with golden edges formed in her hand which she gripped firmly and point towards the entire unit below.

As if they could sync their thoughts the other members of the fairly tribe as summoned their wands, they pointed it towards the members of the group below as dense amount of aquatic magic power started to form around their beings.

Quickly, it reached a point of saturation causing their blue eyes, ears and wings to glow, as did the golden wings, blue hair as well as the crown on Myria’s forehead. Once all of these conditions had been met, they each shouted in unison, “Aqua Gravitas!”

Buzzz! Splasssh! Following an odd buzzing noise, the world itself began to change as the water source energies within the air began to form into large water balls that covered a portion of the group of distracted Aracnians instantly their bodies became heavier as the density of this these water balls made it such that even lightest of object would find it hard to move, as if gravity had suddenly increased by over a hundred folds.

Feng Yu seeing this sent a message to Jing Mingyun who was still on his back, “I’m going to act now, you should hide in the wristband so as to avoid injury...”

Jing Mingyun hearing this responded, “No... I’m staying right here...” As she said that, the grip around Feng Yu’s neck grew tighter as now he found it hard to catch his breath. He responded while struggling, “Cough... Fine, I’ll simply have to fight harder to ensure your safety then...”

Jing Mingyun hearing this smiled and didn’t respond her head pressed against his neck causing her warm breath traveling across his skin as she whispered closely to his ears, “Mother said that Dao Partners share each other’s burdens... bear my weight now and in the future... I’ll bear yours...”

Feng Yu hearing this was stunned, but as it was in battle, he had no time to reply he quickly shouted to his allies with a red face, “Now... now our chance to move! Charge!”

Crackle! Like a beam of blazing thunder light, Feng Yu vanished from his previous location moving like a lighting itself as he channeled his current mood and energies into his sword that swung towards his enemies with full force executing the .

“Which mother said that!” Feng Yu shouted in his mind as his swords which seemed to be like lightning snaked across the bodies of a few dozens of the Rank 2 Aracnians who were either too slow t
o react or caught up by the .

Shiiinnnnggg! The cry of the swords resounded as their blades swept away at his enemies without remorse, soon after fading to a new series of sounds...

Clink-clink-clink! A string of metallic noises sounded as each of the Aracnians he attacked only ended up being pushed by back a few dozen meters as long white lines appeared on their bodies at the areas that were cut.

“Such hardness, seeing for oneself is an entirely different manner indeed...” Feng Yu said as he looked at the scene behind him. Two of the natives who had also fallen outside of the formation had also vanished as they were now currently grasping on a section of Feng Yu’s armor.

“I’m taking you two inside a space don’t resist!” FengYu said as the wristband glowed in a strange light, which absorbed the bodies of the two natives who didn’t resist. Feng Yu was about to try and save a few of the other natives who had fallen out of the group, but soon heard the voice of Jing Mingyun who vigilantly watch the surrounding situation while on his back.

“Yu, it’s too late they’re already recovering, and the main group is almost upon us!” she said as her voice echoed within his ears.

Feng Yu hearing her words looked towards a large group of continuously assaulting Aracnians who were not fully affected by the light shining from Zyne’s Bright Hammer.

They rushed towards Feng Yu with every intent to capture him and have a sumptuous meal, a few of them even turned to their back and elevated their rears into the air as their spinnerets began to shake ready to unleash something.

“Shit! At least I’ve saved two of them, time to move!” Feng Yu said as his body which had now reformed from the thunder light, spun in the air avoiding the thick slick webs that were shot towards him by the distant spiders. These silk-webs were narrowly but skillfully avoided, passing by his hair and face and even more miraculously Jing Mingyun’s directly venerable body that was on his back.

As he avoided the web attacks, his body once more flickered like lightning left behind a long trailing line of thunder that started from his current position to new location of group that now only managed to make it a few hundreds of meters away from their previous location.
