“And how does Cindy feel about this?”

“Haven’t told her yet. But I know you guys have always gotten along. I doubt she’d have too much of a problem with it.”

Yeah, we’ve been really getting along these days.

“Shit, you know she’s more than welcome. Not like I don’t have space to spare at the house. If she’s cool with it, I’m cool with it.”

He nodded with a smile. “That’s a relief. Thank you so much. It’d do a hell of a lot to put my mind at ease, you know?

If he knew what I’d been thinking about doing to his daughter, his mind would be anything but at ease with her around me.

“And then there’s the wedding,” he said. “I know how those things can go. And if you were there keeping an eye on her…”

“Make sure some dumbass doesn’t try anything funny.”

“Exactly. I know she’s got a strong mind and can stand up for herself, I just wouldn’t want her to end up in a bad situation where she had to do just that.”

“I know exactly what you mean. And sure – you want me to look out for your little girl while you’re gone. I’m happy to do it.”

“Thanks, bud. You’re really doing me a solid here.”

  “Anytime.”

He killed his whiskey and got up. “Alright, probably should get back to it. I’ll let you know when I’ve run it by her. Hopefully she doesn’t get too up in arms about it.”

I stepped around the desk and gave him a pat on the shoulder. “Good seeing you. Now get your ass back to work.”

  He laughed. “See you around.”

Seconds later, he was gone and I was once again alone. I let out a long sigh at how much fucking crazier this whole situation had gotten. Cindy staying with me – what on Earth could possibly go wrong with that arrangement? Easy to imagine. Or easy to imagine how fucking right it could go.

But the irony hadn’t been lost on me. Drew wanted to keep his daughter away from men who wanted to do God-knows-what with her. And he’d sent her to stay with the man who couldn’t stop thinking about doing just that.

  Chapter 14

  Craig

I was a man of my word. Drew had told me to make sure certain men stayed away from Cindy. Which meant if I were go to near her and do what I’d been fantasizing about, I’d be breaking a promise I’d made to my best friend.

But fuck, I still wanted the girl like crazy. Seemed like every few minutes I’d find myself thinking about her, picturing the expression on her face when I’d made her cum. How the hell was I supposed to square this circle?

One fucking thing was certain – I needed time to think about it. So, for the next couple of days before Drew left, I kept distance. It would be hard with her staying at my place, but it was the least I could do while I tried to puzzle out the whole matter.

The house was big, so that wouldn’t be a problem. I could stick her in the guest house in back – out of sight, out of mind. And Drew had given the heads-up that she was OK with the idea. Not a fucking shock on that score.

Cindy hadn’t been making it easy for me with the whole distance thing. The sexts kept coming, and they’d been getting fucking hot. For a girl who didn’t have much, if any, experience with men, she was sure getting the hang of what to tell me to make my cock hard as hell in the middle of the workday.

Thinking about how you felt inside me. Can’t wait for the next time ;-).

When are you gonna teach me all you know? I’m a very, very attentive student.

Do I have your permission to keep thinking about you when I touch myself? Because if not, I’ve been a bad, bad girl.

Knowing that she’d been making herself cum with me on the mind was so fucking hot I couldn’t stand it. But I’d made a promise, and I intended to keep it. How the hell could I lookout for Cindy if I was the one fucking her? And I knew if she kept talking like that, fucking would definitely be in our future.

Eventually the texts became less and less frequent. Cindy had to know something was up, that there was a reason I hadn’t been responding to her. That day I’d seen her on one of the properties, and the expression on her face told me all I needed to know.

Ignoring her wasn’t going to work – for me or for her.

So, that afternoon I went to one of the other properties and busied myself with the usual shit. Before too long I’d managed to lose myself in the work, putting Cindy out of my head for a little while at least. That all ended when I felt a small hand on my shoulder while I’d been in the middle of checking out the engine of one of my trucks. It was a shock, and I lifted my head so fast I damn near banged it on the hood of the car.

When I turned around, I was eye-to-eye with the girl I’d been trying to stay away from. She regarded me with silence at first, a curious kind of hurt expression on her face. Finally, after a few long seconds of silence, she spoke.

  “Hey.”

Her voice was soft and almost childlike. And fuck, did she look good. The weather was getting colder with Thanksgiving approaching. Cindy was dressed in a tight, white T-shirt that hinted at the bra underneath, a pair of tight jeans, and a denim jacket opened just enough to see that hint of lace through her shirt. Her body looked so good, so ripe, that for a moment I wanted to say screw it to the promise and take her on the floor of the garage.

But I kept my dumb, horny ass in check, as hard as it was.

  And it was getting hard.

I wiped my hands on a nearby rag as I tried to figure out what the fuck to say.

  “Hey.” Stupid.

She appeared conflicted, a little hurt even, but with each passing second her face tightened more and more into something like anger. Cindy wasn’t happy, and I couldn’t blame her.

“OK, so I’ll get right to it – what the hell’s going on?”

“What the hell’s going on?” Another stupid thing to say, more trying to buy some damn time.

“Yeah, what the hell’s going on? And don’t try to play dumb with me.”

The girl could get right to the point when she wanted to. That was her mom, through and through. Drew knew how to stick up for himself, sure, but his wife had been always one to speak her mind. It was interesting to see Cindy, a perfect blending of both her parents.

“The other night you had me up against a wall outside of a damn bar doing things to me that no man has ever done. And I know you wanted more – you made that perfectly freaking clear. But now you’re giving me the cold shoulder.”

I opened my mouth to speak, but she beat me to it, pointing menacingly at me.

“And don’t you dare give me some bullshit like oh, I’ve been real busy. If you do, I’ll put your head under that hood and give it a good slam.” Her hands were on her hips, making her tits strain against her shirt. Damn, did I want her.

More than that, she’d known what I was going to say. I didn’t want to be totally straight with her, but she needed some kind of explanation.

  “It’s complicated.”

“Complicated,” she scoffed. “You sure didn’t make it seem complicated the other night. Nope, you made it really simple – I be a good girl for you, and you’ll teach me everything you know about sex.” She paused for a second, shaking her head. “It was…a lot at first, but I thought about it and that’s what I want. Of course it figures that as soon as I decide you start getting weird on me.”

“Weird? Not the word I’d use.”

“Then what? Going from wanting to fuck me to not even responding to my texts? You can’t tell me that’s not a little weird.”

I was being a dumbass and I knew it. But I needed to tell her something to give her some kind of clarity. “Kid, I’ve been thinking a lot about what’s been going on between us. And…fuck, I don’t know if it’s a good idea.”

“What?” There was total disbelief in her voice.

“Yeah, that’s what I said. And you have to know I’m right.”

“What?” she repeated, her eyes narrowing dangerously. “You were all gung-ho
about this the other night and now you’re having second thoughts?” She stared at me; I watched a realization hit her. “Is this about my dad? Did he say something to you? Does he know what’s going on?”

“No, he doesn’t. And I sure as shit don’t want him to find out. But it goes beyond your dad.”

  “How so?”

“Cindy…you’re a kid. You’re less than half my age.”

“I’m not a goddamn kid, Craig! I’m twenty-three years old. A college graduate and a fucking woman. I don’t care that I’m half your age, so why should you?”

I could see that my logic wasn’t going to dissuade her, so I tried a different tact. “You know how I lost my virginity?”

Cindy cocked her head to the side, clearly confused by the odd subject change. “No. Why would I?”

“Let me tell you about how it went down. I mean, the censored version. I was fifteen, and me and this girl had been seeing each other for a while. Sharon Simms – cute little blonde thing.” I almost smiled at the memory but stopped before I made that mistake. “Anyway, she and I had been slowly going further and further with each other. Nothing too R-rated, but things were moving in that direction. One day I asked her if she wanted to go all the way with me, and she said yeah, she did. So, one night at my place, when my mom and dad were out of town, she came over.”

  “And you fucked.”

“Don’t get ahead of the story,” I warned jokingly. “I was all romantic and shit about it – rose petals on the bed, some 80’s hair metal ballads on the stereo, even got some sparkling wine without any booze in it. She came over and…”

  “And?”

“It was kinda fucking awkward, actually. Neither of us really knew what the hell we were doing, and limbs got tangled up more than a few times. But we did the deed.”

“Congrats. Sounds like you lost your virginity like a normal person at a normal age in a normal way. Unlike me.”

“But that’s the whole point. It’s not too late for you to lose your virginity in a normal way. Because let me tell you – getting fucked by your old man’s best friend who’s known you since you were a kid sure as shit ain’t normal.”

“So what if it’s not? It’s what I want. I’ve thought about it and I know it. And I’m not a kid anymore, as you well know.”

  “Oh, I well know.”

Her expression softened. “Then what’s the issue? You’re experienced, and that’s what I want. Or is it me? Do you not want to waste your time on someone who might not know how to make you happy?” Cindy’s eyes flicked down to my cock, leaving no doubt what she meant by that.

God, it was so fucking tempting. But it was a bad, bad idea – especially in light of the promise I’d made to Drew.

“That is definitely not it,” I assured her.

“Then what? I mean, think about it – I’ll be staying at your place for a little while.” She stepped closer to me, a small smile playing on her lips. “Maybe I could come into your bedroom one night, we can turn the lights down low, and you could teach me everything you know. ” She placed her fingertip on my forearm, dragging it slowly along the skin, my sweat trailing behind it.

Fuck. Fucking fuck fuck. When the hell did this little girl become such a seductress? I had to be the mature one, if such a damn thing were possible. So I took her hand and moved it. Cindy wasn’t happy about it.

  “It can’t happen.”

“It can’t? Or you don’t want it to?”

“What I want doesn’t matter. Me doing what I want has gotten me into loads of trouble over the years, and the last thing I’m hoping for is to get you caught up in a lot of BS.”

“So you do want to do it. You do want me.” The girl was really working all the angles.

“You want to know what it is I want?” She nodded. “Here goes. There’s a reason I told you about my first time, what it was like. Sure, it was awkward and kinda fucking weird, but it was great – and it was great because she and I were on the same level. And that’s what I want for you.”

“Little too late for all that for me.”

“Maybe so, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find some nice guy who isn’t a jaded old asshole like me. Maybe some dude like you, fresh out of college and not all that experienced. It might not be exactly the same, but it would be best for you.”

“How many times do I need to tell you that that isn’t what I want? We’re both adults, and I don’t need you to tell me what’s best for me. I’ve thought about it a lot, and I know exactly what I want.” She spoke vehemently, earnestly wanting me to understand. “I want you, Craig. Not some nice guy in a button-up shirt who doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing. I’ve spent enough of my life clueless about sex, and I want someone who can be my teacher, show me how to please a man. And I want it to be you.”

She made a damn good case. And if it were up to my cock to decide, I’d have been buried inside her tight little pussy five minutes ago. But I was playing this smart.

“I know what you want. But it’s not going to happen. You might think I’m being patronizing or whatever the fuck, but it’s for the best. Now you need to start putting this whole thing out of your head.”

She scoffed. “This is so ridiculous – it was all your idea, remember?”

“That doesn’t mean I can’t change my mind about it. So that’s what I’m doing. And we should both be glad one of us is before this went too far.”

“I can’t believe what I’m hearing,” she seethed. “You’re seriously putting a stop to this now?”

“That’s exactly what I’m doing. Faster you get it through your head, the better.”

She narrowed her eyes, and for a moment I wondered if she was going to make good on her promise to slam my head into the car hood.

“Fine. If that’s what you want, then that’s what you’ll get. But I’m telling you right now, if you’re not going to do what I want, then I’ll find another man who will. And you don’t get any damn say in that.”

Cindy didn’t give me a chance to say another word before turning and stomping off.

  Chapter 15

  Cindy

Days had passed since that freaking conversation, and I was still pissed. Didn’t matter that it was the day of the wedding – if anything, that only annoyed me more.

The wedding was a cute scene. The heated barn had been dolled up with strings of Christmas lights and festive holiday décor, and dozens of people from around town were there to celebrate. A live band played music, and the dancing was in full swing.

Craig. That fucking jerk. I’d been right when we’d talked, and I knew it – nothing had changed my mind. The prick had told me about all the things he wanted to do to me, how he wanted to be my teacher or whatever crap he’d said. And then he turned around and acted like I was some dumb kid who’d gotten myself in over my head and needed a grownup to set me straight.

Fuck him. If that’s what he wanted, that’s what he’d get.

But I’d have been lying if I were to say our night together hadn’t set something off in my head. Maybe it was him, maybe it was finally having a man inside me. But I wanted more. As I sat back from the wedding, watching Paul and Willa dance and have fun, knowing what they were going to get up to as soon as they crossed the threshold later that night, I couldn’t stop thinking about sex. I wanted it so bad I could taste it. I’d meant what I’d said to Craig – if he wasn’t going to give me what I wanted, someone else would.

“You look like you’re scheming, Cin.”

Alexa looked cute in her light blue dress, glass of champagne in hand. She’d been an invite to the wedding, whereas I was still on the clock. Craig had enlisted me to keep an eye on things, make sure the party didn’t get too rowdy on his property. But it really added up to me standing around doing nothing other than not having fun.

  “Maybe I am.”

I still wasn’t sure if I wanted to tell Alexa what had happened between me and Craig. There wasn’t a doubt in my mind that she’d approve
, but I knew if I let it slip what was going on then there was a significant chance she’d have one too many glasses of champagne and let it slip to someone. The girl loved her gossip. When I glanced at her, she grinned, and I knew there wasn’t a chance I’d get away without telling her something.

“Alright, spill it. I’ll get it out of you one way or another, so you might as well save us both the hassle.”

No doubt about that. I scanned my mind for something to tell her. “It’s the conversation we had the other night at the bar. You know, with Craig.”

She raised an eyebrow. “The conversation about your virginity?”

“That’s the one. Thanks for bringing that up with him, by the way.” I gave her a small smile, letting her know I was only being a little serious.

She matched my smile with one of her own. “Come on, you know as well as I do that someone had to say it. The guy was being a total prick, too. You were trying to have some fun and he strolled in like he’s your guardian angel or some shit. Totally out of line.”

“I know, I know. Not happy there had to be a fight about it, but you’re right – something needed to be said.”

She raised her glass slightly, gesturing for me to go on. “OK, so I’m right. Love to hear it, but I doubt that’s what you’re over here brooding about. Come on, Cin – tell me what’s on your mind.”

“My freaking virginity – that’s what’s on my mind. I wanna be done with it. I’ve been waiting for so long for some special guy or whatever to swoop in and say all the right things and it hasn’t happened.”

It was a lie, for sure. Craig had been that special guy, and he had said all the right things. Too bad the minor detail of actually doing the deed wasn’t something he felt up to anymore.

“Now, I’m thinking more like you’ve been saying – I need to find a cute guy who knows what he’s doing and let him relieve me of this bullshit so I can start feeling like a normal woman.”
