Chapter 3 – The Wise Man
After a few minutes the lightning flash reduced in intensity and in front of them stood a smiling man with so much spiritual effulgence that the couple immediately recognized him to be the ‘Wise Man’. The Wise Man introduced himself as ‘Chakra’.
Chakra said “How are you my children. Maya came to me and explained your anxiety; this is one of the reasons why I had to arrive like this, like a meteor.”
Idaha and Olivaha along with Vilom who had arrived at the scene paid their respects to Chakra.
Idaha said “it is the merits of many births that I am having this opportunity of getting the blessings from a great soul like you.”
Chakra said “No, it is all the way of fate and destiny. God has sent me as a representative to help you. I am in a hurry as I need to travel to another dimension to sort out a few problems there; the message that I had to convey was that, you both will give birth to 2 great souls who will be the saviors of this island.”
Chakra disappeared after narrating the future to the couple. Now, both of them were happy at the thing that they had witnessed but were scared at the last portion that they had heard, ‘saviors of this island’, were they going to face something disastrous?
Just like this a few days passed and they were following all the rituals in a very strict manner. One fine day Vilom rushed to the couple and was looking very happy.
Vilom said “Look, what I have found near the idol of Gabhiro” and showed something that resembled 2 pieces of almonds.
“This is a gift from Gabhiro; you are supposed to eat this.”
Olivaha did not know how to express her happiness, but in spite of so many days of following religious austerities, she was having a doubt as to what would 2 almonds do for her? At that time Vilom started explaining that in his dream the lord of the universe had asked him to give these 2 almonds to Olivaha and that she would give birth to 2 great twins.
Olivaha was completely surprised and happy and started crying out of happiness.
Idaha consoled her and said “Now, do you believe in a supreme power governing everyone?”
Olivaha ate both the almonds and there was a sudden surge of energy in her body. She was able to feel that some sort of movements was happening in her body. The couple was asked to complete the final day of austerities and wait for good news the following day.
Next day, when Idaha woke up he was shocked to find that there was a huge bulge in the stomach portion of Olivaha. It was confirmed now that she was pregnant. Just when he was about to break the news to the sleeping Olivaha, there was the same flash of lightning and Chakra had arrived at the scene of happiness.
Chakra said “Good morning son, please listen to me carefully, before you jump to conclusions. Leave Coatazuma immediately, when Olivaha is still asleep, am asking you to do this for your own good.”
Idaha then asked “But what if something happens to her after she finds out that I have left her like this? Won’t she think that I have deserted her?”
Chakra said “I will make sure that her memory fades away for the time being and will make sure that she remembers whatever is required when you come to meet her the next time.”
Idaha did not know how to react, he had already suffered enough mental torture trying to become a father and now when something good was happening in his life he was asked to leave the place and go somewhere else.
Chakra asked Idaha to sit calm for a few minutes and started chanting incantations which was to give him temporary supernatural powers. There was an energy surge similar to what Olivaha had felt a day before and Idaha was completely rejuvenated. There was so much happiness filling his heart that it was obvious from his face.
Chakra said “I have given you the energy to control the air and the earth elements. Use this for only good purposes otherwise it will start sucking the life force out of you.”
Idaha was perplexed. He asked “But why am I supposed to do this?”
Chakra said “This is what you were born for; you have lot of male energy generated by your soul in this body of yours. You were meant to save this island. In another few hours by the time you reach the main settlement of Chonohaush you yourself will find out. After you are done with whatever you have been assigned, I will personally come and let you know your future life course. I hope everything is clear to you?”
Idaha after receiving cosmic energy surge through his body was a changed man. He understood the reason why he was born. His sub-conscious mind had been activated. Without turning to look back at his wife he started walking towards the entrance of the cave so as to go back to the settlement. But, before he could be out of sight of Chakra, a doubt rose in his mind.
He turned towards Chakra and asked “But, who will look after my wife and my children?”
Chakra said “Maya would be coming in human form and she will help raise your kids. Is that fine?”
Idaha gave a broad smile and left for the settlement. Chakra in the meanwhile mentally summoned Maya and she immediately transformed herself into a beautiful lady, wearing the same type of dress that Olivaha was wearing and became her caretaker for the time being.
Olivaha woke up after sometime and remembered nothing except that she was alone and was pregnant. Maya introduced herself, and Chakra had done some memory magic and Olivaha recognized Maya as her own mother. Maya and Olivaha started spending some great times together with Vilom at their disposal for their day to day help and activities.
