It’s been a week; Kate didn't come out of her room. Jake's calling her daily but she's not attending his call. She told Maria that she doesn’t need to open gate for Jake.

  Jake was very upset with him about everything he did with Kate. He was also stay in his room he's not talking with Zac or Emma. His little sister came in his room and said

  “What happened Jake why are you so sad?” Jake was lying on bed he look at her then take a deep breath and said

  “Ki is upset with me”.

  “Why is she upset with me” Miley said as she sat on bed

  “I did something bad to her, which break her heart” Jake said

  “why can't you fix it... one time I broke Rebecca's doll so she was upset with me but then I fix it and we become friends again ... you should do the same” Miley said smiling at him. Jake suddenly has a thought. He got up in excitement; he kissed Miley on cheek and hugs her saying

  “Thank you so much doll”.

  Jake was searching for Paul he was not home, so he goes the pizza place they used to go together. But he stops as he saw Kate and Alice at coffee shop. He got off the car and move toward Kate.

  Alice saw him coming she pointed Kate. Kate doesn’t want to talk him so she grabs her things and move but Jake stops her.

  “Ki... please one time just listen to me... I'm really sorry for what I did but it just hap...” Jake said but Kate interrupts him

  “Happen... what someone cast a spell on you to destroy my love life Jake... you said Paul the most cheap thing about me... that I want to be with him because I want to meet Tyler... do you even know Paul is not going to M.I.T, he's going to Boston College... I can't believe Jake you took revenge with your own friend... Best friend last time I remember”

  “I'm so sorry Ki... please” Jake said try to convince her.

  “Sorry... I tell that word thousand times to Paul but he did not forgive me... I can’t forgive you too Jake ... For them you hurt me because of them... I never forgive you Jake” Kate said.

  “No... Ki I don’t know how I did this... Please... Please forgive me” Jake said as he tried to hold her hand.

  “Just leave it Jake ... please I was so wrong that I think you care about me more than I do. Now I know… you destroy my happiness twice Jake…twice” Kate said and get in car. Kate’s words hurt Jake like he fell on stones.

  Alice was shocked watching everything she can't believe what she just heard.

  Jake can't make up with Kate and the only thing make her happy is Paul. So he's finding Paul to talk to him about what happen and tell him that he was lying about everything he said for Kate.

  “Dude... I'm sorry I told you I was upset with Ki and I told all that bull shit... nothing is true” Jake said to Paul. He fined him on Stephan's house

  “When you were telling lie Jake?... when you tell me she don't love me or now when you say you did all that to hurt her... you hurt Kate...uh... impossible... that's mean you were telling truth before and now you are lying because of her” Paul said. They were standing at pool side in the night.

  Jake realizes what he said and get angry on himself but then he said to him

  “Paul pleases her really like you give her a chance please...” Jake came near to hold him. He put his hand on his shoulder

  “Jake just goes away... I don't want to listen anything else besides I can find someone better than Kate” Paul said and push him hard. Jake left when he did that without saying anything else.

  ...

  “Alice what happen why you call so late its 1'o clock” Kate said as she woke up on Alice call.

  “Kate Paul is in the hospital someone hit him so bad... come hurry up” Alice said she look tense.

  “What...when... OK I'm coming” Kate said and run bathroom to change.

  She was in the hospital when Paul awake. Sheriff Jackson was investigate him about the accident and Paul said

  “He was going back to his home and Jake attack on him and beat him so badly” Sheriff came to Dr. Drew to ask about Jake, Kate heard him. She can't believe in her ears.

  “You have some misunderstanding Sheriff Jake never hit someone... and ...Paul ...Paul was our friend. Jake and Paul is friend since they were young... that is so wrong”

  “Sorry child I wish that too, Jake was nice kid but Paul said that it was him because only he knows that he was in Stephen’s house and he's so sure about that. OK... Dr. Drew when he came back in town we have to take him” Sheriff Jackson said and leaves.

  Kate was so worried about what Sheriff Jackson said. In town everyone was talking about what Jake done.

  Kate defend Jake everywhere but inside she blame herself and praying that Jake come back. Because she feels so alone, even Jake is in so trouble, Kate didn't see Mariana worried about him.

  Alice came to Kate home to meet her and comfort her that he will come back.

  After three days Dr. Drew calls her in his office. She enters in his office she saw Tyler's dad was also there. She thinks why he’s is here.

  “Hey Doc ...” Kate said

  “Hi... Kate sat down” Dr. Drew said.

  “Thanks... what happens?” Kate asked as she feels he look worried

  “Kate ... I want you to stop defending Jake” Dr. Drew said, Kate was shocked

  “Doc what are saying ... he's your son ... your blood ... how can you think him as criminal” Kate said

  “You are right Kate... but it is in his own favor” Mr. Dan Flaws said when he saw Dr. Drew didn't say anything.

  “How?” Kate asked looking at Mr. Flaws.

  “look... you and Jake are best friend... right and he really love you and if you'll going to be rude with him about what he does he realize his mistake... and leave everything” Mr. Dan Flaws said .

  She looks at him then Dr. Drew and said

  “Doc I can't do this ... he's my only friend ... if I do that his reputation will ruined... but if you promise me that Jake won't go to police then I will do this” Kate said her voice get heavy

  “Kate he's my son ... no matter what… I do love him” Dr. Drew said Mr. Dan Flaws look at him and he looks him back.

  “OK Doc I try... bye” Kate said and leave.

  She was at gnome, staring at moon. It was half-moon. The wind was fast, so the moon hides in clouds she can feel thunderstorm coming.

  She remember when she was 5 her pet dog died, she cried for days, her mother did everything to make her happy but she love him so much.

  “Sweet heart please stops it you are crying for two days” Kate mother Lisa said. She was blond hair, black eyes, tall and sensitive woman.

  “I want him back mama... I miss him so much... Please bring him back... I hate it when my favorite things go away from me” Kate said crying

  She wipes her tears and says “this is life honey ... Everything happens here... When we think our life is perfect, our most beloved thing go far away from us... But we have to be strong we can’t do anything about it. Its nature”

  “I am not strong mama...” Kate said.

  Her mother hugs her and says “oh no... My baby is so strong... And remember every event of life have its lesson... You just need to find it......”

  She never thought this could happen in her life. When everything is perfectly going, a storm came and destroys her life; she was depressed because she was not ready to lose this life.

  She walks home thinking about Jake and what Dr. Drew and Tyler's dad said.

  She enter in her home, it was dark in her home she open kitchen light. She saw Maria's note on fridge that she’s gone for grocery shopping. She open hall light. Before she moves toward upstairs to go in her room she feels someone standing at the corner in hall under dark.

  When it came in light Kate eyes were wide open as it was Jake. He came to meet her. She was so happy to see him but then she remember what Dr. Drew told her. She controls her feeling and asked him r />
  “Why are you here Jake?” Jake thought she'd be so happy to see him and hug him but when she didn't greet him he get disappointed.

  “I want to talk to you Ki... about what happen” Jake said in deep voice. His voice shows that he didn't sleep for days. His eyes have dark circles.

  “I don't want to hear anything from you Jake... I've seen everything... heard everything you did... honestly I can't believe you’re the same Jake who was my best friend. You cost us so much embarrassing Jake... I can't face any one” Kate said crying. She was crying because of Jake's rough condition.

  “Ki... please let me say something” Jake insists and moves forward.

  “Jake please… leaves now... I don't want to talk to you... I hate the moment we... we become friends” Kate said, Jake look her with wide eyes and move toward her.

  “Don’t... don't sa... say that” Jake said in broken words try to put him together. He try to hold her, Kate don't want to lose herself because she wants him to understand that she's upset with him so she push him away and something fall from Jake's jacket.

  Kate clean her eyes which fill with tears to see what fell, it was gun. She was so shocked she put her hands on her month.

  “Gu... gun... Ja... Jake” Kate said still in shock. Her mind thinking so many thought

  “Oh my God Jake... he has a gun…Jake has a gun…Jake becomes criminal... Police won’t leave him... They will take him... Lock him in prison... His... His future will destroy...what if he runs away from them...” her mind has horrible thoughts

  “Police chasing him... they shot him, they will kill him... what if... he died” she yell as she get scared

  “No... No... I have to call ... I have to tell him... He can’t do this...No” and move away from him.

  Jake was surprise to see the gun too, he never touch a gun before then how it came in his pocket.

  He distract when Kate yell he tried to stop her, to tell her that it’s not his. But Kate get panicked she run to her room upstairs to call Dr. Drew and Jake thought she's going to call the police so he runs after her. As Kate open her room door Jake hold her hand and pull back so hard then leave her hand and close the door then yell

  “Ki... listen to me” but then he heard some voice. He got cold feet as he can't feel Kate's hand in his hand.

  Kate fall, when Jake pull her back she twisted her feet and roll over the stairs then hit the stole which is placed on the right side of stairs. Because of panic Kate can't scream when she fall so Jake didn't realize that she fell.

  Jake was standing upstairs watching her lying on ground. He can't feel his legs, he moves down stairs slowly. He was so frighten and sweating, his hands shaking when he saw she’s unconscious, she hit her head and she was bleeding. He moves his shaking hand toward her head but he heard some on coming.

  Maria open the door and put the grocery in kitchen then move to hall and scream to see Kate lying on the floor ,bleeding. Jake got out through window because he got scared.
