“Well, maybe we should bring Tamara too.” She sat down on the sofa left from my desk where I was now sitting in my office chair and looked like she was thinking about something. “What had Tamara to do with my mate?” I asked her curiously. I knew that over these last few weeks they became best friends with Emily and I was glad that she made some friends but if they wanted to talk about my mate then why need to bring Tamara and not Emily?

“Because Tamara was born in the Silver Crescent Moon pack and was sent here not only because of her mate. She was sent here because her pack oracles knew that Rei would end up in this pack.” Hannah explained but I could not say that I actually understood what exactly she was saying. Tamara was rogue before she joined our pack. She was the first person I saw my father make the blood ceremony before joining our pack and she had no mark or crest on her wrist to belong to any pack. I shook my head trying to understand what was going on.

“As you know there was a Royal wolf family protected but specific packs. The Silver Moon pack was the pack of our Royal family. The Silver Full Moon pack was their protectors. They had powers in their voice that made anyone oblige them no matter if they belonged to the pack or not. Even you as Alpha are intimidated by my voice. The Silver Crescent Moon pack was carrying the blood of oracles. Full moon and Crescent mixed their blood with the witches’ long time ago to obtain those powers. It was a gift from our mother Moon Goddess who protects every single supernatural creature. As you saw yesterday our future Luna is from Royal blood. She is the only daughter of the Alpha Amarick Fergus Indegard.” I knew I heard the name somewhere, but actually; we never took our Royal family seriously. They weren’t like rules or something or kept track of other packs. From what I knew they lived away from the other packs and their business but their blood was kind of special. Now I understand how special.

“The Spirit wolf could be born only from Royal blood and only under special circumstances,” Hannah explained to me and I could see that Leona was also carefully listening.

“Amarick himself actually was not the special one but as a male, he was bearing the crown, but the Royal blood came from his mate Adeline Adriana Indegard. It was always she-wolf who bears the Royal blood. My mother’s pack is gone and I am the only one left with my powers. Tamara is the last survivor from her pack only because she was sent away a long time before the attack on her pack took its place. Reina is not the last survivor from her own pack.” She continued the story and had to admit I was shocked. There were too many things I had no idea about. Too many history facts I never heard about.

“Why they never teach us this or tell us any of this information?” I asked her back eager to get into the bottom of it all. “To protect the bearer of the Royal blood.” She replied. “If the Crescent pack knew what would happen why didn't they stop it then?” I asked her another question wanting to know why so many people had to die. “It was the only way to protect Rei from being captured. If someone from those packs would survive, they would not stop searching for her. As I said before, those packs were purely dedicated to protecting the bearer of the Royal blood. Honestly, I didn’t expect to find out that she already has the Spirit wolf. If the Spirit wolf was born, some really big things are going to happen and soon, I am sure you would hear about witches too.” She told me calmly with a smile. How she could be so relaxed I didn’t understand. She was practically telling me to get ready for anything big without giving me specifications.

  Chapter 25

  CALEN’S POV:

“I hope everyone knows why we are here today?” I asked them to come to our council room. We built this room right under the pack house on the second floor of our underground, below the hospital, and on the opposite side of the prison. The room was completely soundproof just in case anybody would like to sneak around. It was a secluded place from the eyes and the ears and the only place where every one of us meets together to discuss important matters. I was actually planning to make this room also a court for those who would be judged by us for their crimes, not like we need such a room up to now, but one could never know.

“Seeing Ismail in front of us and not sitting here with us I assume it is because of him,” Peter spoke as a first and Hannah had a smirk on her face as she tried to suppress the smile. “We already stripped him of his title and position among the Elders for his behavior in the morning towards the Alpha.” Lea started to explain and I could see a surprised look on both men as they could not believe what they just heard.

“He openly disrespected our Alpha and tried to oppose him

aggressively. With Hannah, we heard enough to decide that we don’t want someone like that among us and he didn’t deserve the post.” She added and the eyebrows of both men, Philip and Peter rose up. “Did he?” Peter asked curiously eyeing Ismail who was now standing in the middle of the circle meant for the criminals.

“He refused to accept his future Luna and instigated me to kick her out. I would understand if she would be some random rogue and would be willing to discuss with him, but she is my mate and our future Luna. Who is able to kick out of the pack his own mate?” I asked them and Philip understood what I meant. His own son several years ago brought into the pack a rogue with a strange smell and long hair which was not heard or seen in any she-wolf before. They had a hard time convincing my poppa at that time to let her in. She was the first one who entered our newly formed pack after half of mine died and many people didn’t want to accept her for her differences and now this man standing right in front of us wanted to do the same to another one and on top of that their Luna. Just from the expression that appeared on Philip’s face after my accusation towards Ismail, I knew I had him on my side.

Peter would simply follow the majority of us so I wasn’t worried about him but now the biggest concern was the threat that might happen if we banish Ismail from the pack. I was sure he didn’t want to stay anyway but I could not risk him to go and talk about my mate’s spirit wolf.

“So, since you already stripped him of his rank and privileges, why this meeting?” Peter asked not fully understanding what Ismail’s knowledge about my mate’s identity means for the pack. “Because he knows the secret of our future Luna.” To my surprise, Philip answered him. He was perfectly in the picture and honestly, I would not expect anything less from the former beta of this pack. His conception about the security and threats going around the pack was unbelievable.

“What do you want to do with him then?” Peter asked and every pair of eyes in the room turned to me. “It is actually up to him. He needs to swear on the name and the grave of Selena, his mate, to serve and protect this pack and he would need to make a vow to keep the secrets of our future Luna. After that, he is free to walk around the pack as he wishes.” I stated and tried to sound like there are no emotions behind my words but in truth, I wanted to skin him down for what he said about my mate before in my office. I had to meet with my mate before this meeting to get her scent to calm me down. Since the morning I was nervous thanks to this piece of sh*t.

“You know I would never do that. I would not accept that filthy rogue and on top of a ticking bomb that would bring death to the whole pack as my Luna.” He spat on us. “I would not stay in the pack that is going to be destroyed for taking this woman in.” He added and this time even Peter had a good image of what was going on. “Our Luna is not the reason your Selena died. The attack on us happened long before they attacked her pack in an attempt to search for her.” I heard the voice of Tamara and we turned our gaze to the door. How was she even here? She should not know about this place.

“I apologize for my intrusion and for interrupting you Alpha. I know I am not supposed to be here, but there is something you should know.” She said with her head in a deep bow showing respect to everyone in the room except the only person she was just now speaking to.

“What is it?” I replied a little bit harshly. I would have to punish her for interrupting the Elders’ council and I am sure she knew that but depending on the
reason I might be able to lower her punishment. “As you know Alpha I came to this pack as a rogue a few years before you have announced the new Alpha. But originally, I came from the Silver Crescent Moon pack. Same as our Luna I am carrying the secrets of my ancestors in my blood. It is not strong enough to see the whole picture but I could see shards of possible futures.” She started to explain with her head still down bowing to us.

“Come in and close the door after you,” I instructed her and she obliged. I pointed with my hand for her to stand beside Hannah. I saw how she was looking at her right before I told her to move in and she was waiting for Hannah’s approval. I could bet my life that this was Hannah’s plan from the beginning.

“What do you mean by seeing the shards of the possible futures?” Peter asked but I could see Philip had the same urge to get this question answered since he was left with his mouth open after Peter spoke first.

“I would explain that later,” I told them. Now I understood why Hannah was telling me the story about those packs before. She already knew about Tamara and seems like the only one they were waiting for was my little mate to finish the triangle. Peter and Philip nodded to me, understanding that I already have the necessary knowledge and also, I didn’t want to speak more in front of Ismail. This man started to become the enemy and I could not afford to get him more information than he already had.

“This man here,” She pointed to Ismail. “If we let him free, he would be the reason our pack would get into the attack. I didn’t see any specifications or with whom he would cooperate but he would come for his revenge.” She said with the firm in her voice. “That couldn’t be the truth.” Peter opposed her and Philip also looked not very convinced. I think I would have to explain to them the full history that was told to me before they would be able to open their minds. I was really getting tired of this drama just because of this man standing right in front of me. I could not miss the smirk on his face. He knew that I couldn’t just simply get rid of him without risking my own position as Alpha. We do not kill our own without reason and proof. The vision of Tamara would not give us the proof we need.

I felt like I am in the corner with him now. Why didn't we find out this before the real identity of my mate was revealed to him? This could not be a coincidence. “I don’t think we could continue this before you two get full information about our newly found position.” My voice sounded resigned. My attention turned to Tamara. “Are you sure he is a threat?” I asked her in my Alpha tone so Peter and Philip would understand that I believe her and this is not just some kind of joke to fool them around. “I do Alpha.” She answered me back without a slight hesitation. No matter what her vision was or if she even had one, despite my Alpha tone she was sure Ismail is dangerous for our pack. Peter with Philip stood there with their mouth open after hearing her answer without the tiniest doubt in her voice.

‘Edie, Paul, please come to the council room.’ I linked with two of my best warriors. In less than a minute, there was a knock on the door and they both entered the room. “Please take him to prison,” I ordered them. Instantly a growl came out of Ismail's throat. “You couldn’t lock me there. I did nothing wrong.” He spat with the hate in his voice. “I know you didn’t. This is only a precaution so you would not try to run away and instead you would wait patiently for our return.” I told him with a smile on my face. He was struggling until Hannah used her voice on him and the guards took him away.

“Now I think it is time for you two to hear a story,” I told Peter and Philip once the door was closed and Ismail was gone from our site. I turned to Hannah to give her word and approve to tell them the story. I don’t know why I wasn’t surprised when she started in the middle with the words that they already know about the Silver packs. I guess that was what they were talking about before Rei’s ceremony.

  ~*****~

“From what you told us last time; the man was the one who always joined that pack. Why was Tamara sent away then?” Philip asked another of his maybe like a million questions. Honestly, we were talking for over two hours and I was really getting tired and bored. I knew he was asking the questions to fully understand the situation and history so he could calculate the possible threat and danger that might come in the future. He didn’t need to see the future to know that we are indeed in a hard position now. He was at some point on the side of Ismail blaming this on my mate. He apologized that he didn’t mean it as an insult just stating the facts.

“I was sent away by our Elders because they knew the pack would be massacred but they didn’t know when. They already saw my mate in this pack and knew that our Luna would eventually come to this pack that’s why I was chosen to be the one to bear our blood and was sent here.” Tamara took the initiative to explain her position in this story. “We could see the future, precisely the shards of what would happen with certain circumstances. Our Elders knew about the attacks and warned the Royal family but the only question was if preventing the attack would harm Luna. You need to understand she is not only our Luna. She is The Luna. She has powers she doesn’t even know yet because she is too young and her wolf is still not matured. Spirit Wolf is different. She needs more time to grow and get in touch with her full potential. That’s why the Spirit wolf always appears at a young age and guides her human a certain way in order to strengthen the mental state of her. Our Luna doesn’t need muscles and speed to survive. She needs to be strong to withstand a huge amount of pain and responsibility. This young woman you accepted just yesterday into our pack is not responsible only for our pack. She would bear the responsibility of every wolf walking in this world. Everyone heard the stories about the Spirit wolf from your mothers or grandmothers. In each of the stories is a piece of truth but they are having one thing in common. The Spirit wolf comes only when our supernatural world is facing an unimaginable threat and she comes to protect us all.” Tamara spoke slowly to give time to process her words. I didn’t like what she was saying. It meant the pain my little mate already had in her life is not finished. She still has to face and bear more. I didn’t want that. I could not let that happen. She already had enough pain in her life.

“And you don’t know what is this danger or threat that our world is going to face?” Philip asked her. His eyes said, he was starting to believe her but he still needed a little bit more. “Honestly I believe that the one who attacked our sacred Royal family is the one who possesses the power to threaten our world. He already had under his command the rogues and some small packs based on Luna's worlds.” She answered him.

“So, what should we do?” I asked her now. Tamara looked like she is still not telling everything. “There is one more thing you should know that is related to you Hannah.” She turned to her. “There is someone else from the pack of your mother. We need to find that girl. You already lost part of your powers and within a year you would lose it completely. But you didn’t bring girls to pass your blood heritage on them which means there must be someone else out there from the Full Moon pack. Moon Goddess would never let the whole bloodline die without a bearer. My Elders would see that and take precautions to secure at least one survivor from your pack that would continue the bloodline and revive the pack.” Her voice was full of worries and concerns. “We must find her before our enemy does unless they already have her.” She added and I thought seeing her face that the second had a higher probability.

“Could someone from your pack order rogues and other packs to follow anybody else except their Alpha?” I asked Hannah but she shook her head. “My mom told me a lot of things but the things you are asking could be done only by one person.” She said with her mind still lost in her thoughts. “By whom?” Peter wanted to know. “By our Luna of course,” Tamara answered with the smile.

“So how would the rogues and the small packs be convinced to follow someone who is not Alpha?” I asked. The fear was slowly growing inside me. “Very powerful magic,” Hannah said and I could feel she was sharing the same fear that grew inside of me. She was mor
e aware of the situation than I was.

“Then what shall we do about Ismail? Do you think he is working with our enemy?” Philip asked, turning his attention to Tamara. “I don’t know. I am alone and my girls are still too young to share the gifts with me so at this moment I have only a few pieces of the pictures. Later when my baby girls are old enough to receive the gifts once their wolves show themselves it would be more precise. All I could say is now that there would be an attack and he would be on the side of attackers.” Tamara said with sadness in her voice. I could see that she would like to provide more information but she had no more. “It is alright. We would figure it out, don't worry.” Hannah tried to soothe her.

I really started to think that we got ourselves into a not really good position but this is what I was training for. This is why I made this pack so strong from inside, to withstand any attack and fight back. I believed in our bonds and training.

“Can you order him to stay quiet?” I turned to Hannah with hope in my voice. “I could,” She replied to me. “For now.” She added and I looked at her puzzled. “As you heard her before, my powers are weaker with every day now. Soon I would lose them completely. I already felt them weakened plus my hair is already fully gray which means my time has already passed. Once I lose the powers completely, the order I gave to him would not be valid anymore and since I didn’t pass my gift to anyone in my bloodline because I have no daughters they would be gone for good.” Hannah explained to me. I would never understand the world of the Moon Goddess. I could see the water collected in Hannah’s eyes. She had a daughter but she was killed during the attack on our pack. I remember my cousin. She was a beautiful young girl. I would never forget the view when I found her lying down in the blood pool with her body completely devastated. We recognized her only thanks to her clothes. Whoever did that to her when she was still just a child was a monster.
