CHAPTER 26. Yet other Travellers had gone very far in another direction and met the Keeper, an entity of mysterious origins. Some say he was from beyond the Galaxy. He possessed deep knowledge and wisdom, and dwelt in a Lighthouse in deep space. The Keeper initiated them into the wisdom of our Galaxy, which he called Exmer Palavron. He spoke of the Light that banishes the Dark and of the Music of the spheres, and taught them many other things, and then sent them back across the vastness of space to help the Order of the Makers, warning them that the evil they found on the Travellers’ World upon their return would be a threat to the whole Galaxy and must be stopped by them, since the Makers were departed and in mortal combat with the Dark Entities far away, and may never return.

  These Travellers finally arrived back on their home world, and founded the Order of the Keeper, consisting of three divisions: the Wizards, the Seers, and the Poets. They fashioned staffs of the wood of the jeweltrees of Aeden, topped with crystals from the Crystal World. With these they had many powers.

  Their descendants, foreseeing the fall of their world, also initiated some of the Guardian race into the Order of the Keeper. These would be the Guardian Wizards, helpers in the long struggle of the Second Age, when the Travellers themselves had fallen into Darkness. -Ennead of Aeden: A Short History: Of the Good Travellers.
