  I chuckled. “Yep.”

“Why not do what we did? What Beau and Freya did?”

“Because he’s not looking for a wife, just some company for a little while.”

  “Hmm.”

I took her hand. “Come and eat.”

“Okay, I could do with some cake.”

It was late and I walked through the dark house. Everything was quiet.

A giggle came from the room most of the kids were bunking in down the hall. Someone else joined in. Then they were all cracking up. Yep, their parents could deal with that.

A grin curled my lips, and I headed to my and Riley’s room. One day it would be our kids laughing and goofing around. I couldn’t wait.

I walked in and Riley was tidying, picking up clothes. She was wearing one of my shirts, and it was huge on her. She’d started wearing them to bed when her pj’s got too tight. I loved it.

“Leave that, darlin’. I’ll pick it up.”

She smiled softly at me. “I know you would. But I can do it. I’m fine, you know? I’m not going to faint again.”

I moved up behind her and wrapped my arms around her, my hands on her belly. “You don’t know that.”

“I feel good. Full of energy, if you want the truth.”

I took the shirt she was folding from her hands and led her to the bed. “That’s great, darlin’, but right now, you’re gonna rest.”

“So bossy.” She narrowed her eyes at me. “When did that happen?”

I shrugged, smirking down at her.

She shook her head. “Bossy,” she muttered again but did as I asked.

I switched off the light, undressed, and climbed into bed. Riley rolled against me like she always did.

  “Cash?”

  “Hmm?”

  “I can’t sleep.”

“You’ve been trying for barely a minute.” I grinned into the darkness. I knew what that breathy note to her voice meant. We had a lot of sex, but since she’d become pregnant she was insatiable. Her hormones were out of control, and I sure as hell wasn’t complaining.

She pressed her face to my chest and curled her knee over my thigh, her hand gliding across my stomach. “Stop toying with me. You know what I want.”

She tipped her head up for a kiss, and I gave it to her.

“Climb on, then, darlin’,” I said against her lips.

Her breathing grew heavier, quicker as she did as I said. She tore the shirt off over her head and straddled me. I glided my fingers between her thighs and groaned.

  “So hot, sweetheart…drenched,” I rasped.

She dragged her hands down my chest. “I’ve been thinking about this all day. We missed our midday snuggle.”

I chuckled. Snuggling was involved but not until after I’d made my wife come several times.

She lightly hit my shoulder and giggled. “Smart-ass.”

“I didn’t say anything. Now are we gonna get on with snuggling or are you just gonna sit there naked and drive me crazy?”

She gripped my hard cock and lifted up, positioning me. I held her hips, steadying her, and bit back my growl when she sank down, taking all of me. Riley moaned and, planting her hands on my chest, rolled and rocked her hips, keeping me deep as she did.

Her hair fell forward, and I brushed it back, needing her eyes on me. I cupped her cheek. Christ, she was lovely moving on top of me, bathed in moonlight.

“You take my breath away,” I said, something I would have only thought a year ago, something I would have struggled to share.

Her hand covered mine, and she sucked my thumb into her mouth. My hips jerked and my balls grew tight. I pulled it free before she made me come too fast, and she held my gaze, making my heart beat faster.

I brushed her clit with my wet thumb, and it didn’t take long before she grabbed my hand and lifted it to cover her mouth, getting me to muffle her cries. Seeing her like that, feeling her gripping me, I came with her.

When she finally went limp, I caught her up in my arms and laid her beside me, pulling her in close again.

“Love you, Cash,” she said sleepily. “Thanks for the snuggle.”

I grinned up at the ceiling, chuckling under my breath. “Love you, too, wife. And you know I’m here for the snuggles any-damn-time.”
