“I will take Caius along with me and Tondenth is currently living in Starlight Forest. They are completely capable of keeping me safe from all sorts of harm. I don’t think anyone from the Calamity Sect or any other faction in their alliance will be present at Starlight Forest, as it is under the control of powerful Elemental Beasts not some faction,” Ryan tried to reason with his mother and Grandparents.

“I need some proper life-and-death experience, which I am unable to gain in Heavenly Forest. It is off-limits for everyone except for those participating in war-drills. Traps and other defensive mechanisms will also be deployed there soon,” he continued.

“I need to comprehend First realm of Sword-intent before the opening of the Ancient Legacy Land, otherwise I might be in serious trouble once I’m inside it. I can’t completely depend on Thorn after entering it,” he added in an aggrieved tone.

The expressions of Emilia, Alexis and Blasius changed drastically upon hearing Ryan’s argument as they also knew the bitter reality of the Legacy Lands. They looked at each other’s faces. It was clear to Ryan that they were discussing something amongst themselves via Mental-message transmission.

Legacy Lands have an average mortality rate of fifty percent, which is huge. They’d (including Ryan’s Paternal family members) initially been against Ryan entering the Legacy Land, but they knew that youngsters who didn’t venture into them were always lacking in comparison to the ones who did. This was an undisputable fact. Those who do enter a Legacy Land have the chance of finding a Heaven Defying Heavenly Treasure, which is very hard to come by on Grandura.

Emilia had ventured into a Legacy Land in her late teens and one of the reasons her Cultivation Level advanced so quickly was due to her finding a Heaven Defying Heavenly Treasure. She’d found a Spirit Water, which had increased her affinity with Water Attribute by multiple times. For that reason, they’d reluctantly agreed to allow Ryan to enter the Ancient Legacy Land, even though there were many dangers associated with it. The other reason was the possibility of boundless opportunities in the Ancient Legacy Land.

“OK. You can go to Starlight Forest but you will have to wear this mask at all times. It blocks the Soul-sense of even Late Immortal Saint Realm beings, which means that no one will be able to discern your facial features until and unless the mask is removed. You also need to keep me up-to-date about your progress in cultivation and comprehension in Sword-intent,” Emilia said with a sigh, as she took out a mask from her Spatial pouch. It was a black-colored half-face mask. Ryan could already understand his mother’s intentions.

“OK,” Ryan said as he took the mask from his mother’s hand and tried it on. It covered the upper half of his face, which would make it difficult for anyone to recognize him. Ryan also liked the mysterious vibe he gave off while wearing it. He was thinking of wearing a robe with hood along with it, which made a smile appear on his face behind the mask, which naturally was noticed by Emilia, Alexis and Blasius. This made their hands itch to spank his butt but Ryan noticed these changes in their demeanors – and the smile on his face vanished.

“Call Caius back home. I will open a Teleportation portal to Starlight Forest once he arrives,” Emilia said in a gloomy tone.

The recent fame that Caius had gained in both family clans was the one of the two main reasons for Emilia and her parents agreeing to let Ryan train in Starlight Forest. The massacre that Caius had caused in order to acquire the Earth Poison, that had been birthed by a Poison Attribute Treasure Land in Heavenly Forest had previously been recorded by a Poison Attribute Martial Artist from the Heaven Sundering Family Clan using video-array. She had also intended to compete for the Earth Poison but decided against it after seeing Caius in action. (Video-array is like a video camera from Ryan’s previous life.) The recording of Caius slaughtering numerous beings had spread at an alarming rate in both family clans. Everyone was alarmed as they’d never expected Caius was that strong.

The other main reason was Tondenth. They could tell that Tondenth was a being that could stand at the helm of Grandura, as he was an Original-grade Metallic Hell Dragon with a Cultivation Level of Late Immortal Saint Realm. He could even make a powerful faction think twice before making a move against him.

Ryan quickly nodded his head and sent a Mental-message transmission to Caius informing him about his visit to Starlight Forest and requesting Caius to tag along with him. Caius readily agreed and asked Ryan to summon him, as he was at the exterior part of Heavenly Forest. Caius had been fooling around in Heavenly Forest since the day he’d dropped Izet in the Death Attribute Treasure Land there. Ryan didn’t mind Caius doing whatever he liked, as he didn’t require his assistance in purifying Poison Elemental Energy while he was comprehending Sword-intent.

Ryan’s entire body was covered in green runes following which a small Spatial portal opened just above Ryan from which a cheerful Caius flew out. He took a seat on Ryan’s shoulder as he waved his hand at Emilia, Alexis and Blasius. His antics immediately brought smiles to their faces.

“Let’s go to the Martial field,” Emilia said as she and her parents set off towards the estate’s Martial field, while Ryan followed behind. It didn’t take long for them to reach it.

“I will open a Teleportation portal to the exterior region of Starlight Forest. Since it’s night, stay there until morning,” Emilia said as she took out a Teleportation portal scroll from her Spatial pouch. Ryan quickly nodded his head.

“Ryan don’t remove this from your wrist,” Blasius said as he tied a piece of cloth to Ryan’s wrist. It was covered in a silvery aura, so Ryan could tell that it was not normal.

“Grandfather, what this?” Ryan couldn’t help but ask.

“It’s Escaping Cloth. It will teleport you five hundred kilometers away in a random direction the moment you face danger,” Blasius explained. On hearing Blasius’s words, Ryan couldn’t help but feel warmth surge in his heart and he nodded his head. He hated having to lie to his mother and grandparents, but his secrets were not something that he could share with others.

The Teleportation scroll in Emilia’s hands turned into a Teleportation portal soon afterwards.

“Ryan take care and contact us immediately, if you get into any kind of trouble,” Alexis said with a heavy heart.

“Put on your mask,” Emilia reminded him and Ryan quickly put the half-face mask back on.

Ryan jumped into the portal with Caius on his shoulder after bidding Emilia, Blasius and Alexis goodbye. Emilia, Blasius and Alexis’s expressions dramatically changed after the Teleportation portal closed: worried expressions were set on their faces.

“You guys can’t fight his battles for his entire life. The Escaping Cloth will make sure he will come back home safe, so don’t worry,” Blasius said to pacify his daughter and wife, who just nodded their heads. Emilia, Alexis and Blasius then returned to the Living room as there was no point standing in the Martial field anymore.

Blasius’s expression changed slightly for a second after entering the Living room, which didn’t go unnoticed by Emilia and Alexis.

“What’s happened?” Alexis couldn’t help but ask with a worried expression and Emilia’s was no different.

“Nothing much. I just received a summons from the Administrative Department. It must be because of some problem with the last batch of weapons that I sold them,” Blasius said in a lighter tone, which made Emilia and Alexis sigh with relief.

“They’ve called me early in morning. I’ll head to the smithy in the meantime,” Blasius said as he left the Living room.

Emilia and Alexis also left for their respective Cultivation chambers soon afterwards to cultivate, as they had to prepare for the upcoming war-drills and it would help divert their minds from worrying about Ryan to some extent.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

On Endless Divine World, a high-profile meeting had been called by the Herman and Heron to discuss the situation that was slowly developing on Grandura as well as
a few other matters. They’d just received the Mental-message transmission from Sheldon detailing everything that was taking place there.

The Meeting Room contained all the higher-ups of both family clans except for Solomon. Solomon had disappeared since the day the participants in the Divine Trials, who’d absorbed Heretical Fiery Liquid had been executed.

“We received a Mental-message transmission from Sheldon about the situation on Grandura just a few hours ago. The Grandura branch of Calamity Sect is creating a lot of trouble for our Grandura branches … ,” and Herman quickly filled in everyone present with the details about the recent happenings on Grandura.

“There is a very high chance that a big war will break out in the coming months, so how should we respond to it?” Heron asked in a somber tone.

“It seems that the Main branch of the Calamity Sect is becoming too bold since the attack on Radiant Divine World. I think we should pay their Main branch a visit,” Raizel said with a bloodshot expression and everyone present readily agreed with him.

“We can’t leave Hell without Father’s protection until we are strong enough, so it best to shelve such an idea,” Herman said unsmilingly, which made everyone realize the problems that they might face if they were to get caught by members of the Silver Oak Sect or its subsidiary factions.

“Can’t Grandfather help us out this time?” Raizel couldn’t help but ask.

Heron and Herman had spread a rumor in their respective family clans that Solomon was suffering from a serious injury, which didn’t allow him to fight for long hours with his full strength. No one except for them knew that Solomon had completely healed and had recovered his former strength.

Heron and Herman had spread that rumor to make sure that none of the members of the Main branches of either family clan became arrogant and created trouble for their clans outside Endless Abyss Divine World. Herman and Heron didn’t want situations to develop at all, that they were unable to handle on their own, as such situations would force Solomon to make an appearance. If Solomon was unable to dispose of everyone during the ensuing fight, it wouldn’t take long for the news that he was still alive to reverberate throughout the entire Divine Universe. They knew that Solomon’s enemies were extremely dangerous, so they couldn’t let them know about Solomon being alive, until they were strong enough to support him during his battles with those enemies.

Herman had already sent a Mental-message transmission to Solomon about the situation on Grandura, even though he and his brother didn’t wish to involve him. He hadn’t got a reply from Solomon yet, so he and Heron had decided to call a meeting to see what the thoughts were of everyone else regarding the matter.

“Father is not on Endless Divine World. He has gone to other Divine Worlds to search for certain Divine Plant Spirits to heal his injuries,” Heron said with a worried expression. No one could tell that he was lying at that moment, as his acting skills were excellent.

“Oh!!!” Raizel nodded his head in understanding, but he felt guilty deep down.

“I think haste is not good in such matters. It would be best if we didn’t over-react in our current circumstances. Just ask Sheldon and the other kids to prepare for war, but they should try to avoid a war, if possible, until we can support them,” Aquila suggested in a worried tone. She didn’t want a war to erupt on Grandura, when they would have a hard time supporting their descendants there. Many in the Meeting Room couldn’t help but agree with her suggestion.

“So, the matter of Grandura will be handled in the manner suggested by Aquila,” Herman declared, as he too found her words logical.

Heron then sent a Mental-message transmission to Sheldon informing him of how he and the others were supposed to handle the situation on Grandura.

“There is another important matter that needs to be discussed,” Herman said soberly, as he scanned the faces of everyone in the Meeting Room. Everyone except for Heron looked at him with full concentration.

“We need to have some sort of relationship with the other factions of Hell. We can’t live in isolation for the next hundred million years until we become an S Grade faction. I want some of you to visit Kaiser Divine World and try to forge relationships with members of other factions in a Trade Fair, that will take place there in two years’ time. This Trade Fair is held once every fifty million years and many rare Heavenly Treasures can be purchased there, because of which it will attract the members of innumerable factions across Hell. We have decided to take advantage of the Trade Fair,” Herman said and then stopped to see if anyone had any doubts.

“Won’t we be in trouble, if anyone in Hell comes to know that we are from Endless Divine World? Everyone in Hell thinks that Endless Divine World is place with endless riches and opportunities,” a middle woman asked with a worried expression. She was an Elder in the Main branch of the Eternity Family Clan named Riya and she’d ascended to the Divine Universe from Grandura.

“We’ve already thought of a way to avoid that problem. Father has another low-grade Divine Worlds under his control in some remote part of Hell which is not visited by many beings at all. We will just create one base there for each family clan and pass them off as the true locations of our family clans, so we can carry out our activities,” Heron said with a sly smile. Everyone looked at them with wide eyes before smiles appeared on their faces.

“I think we will have to change the names of our family clans in that case,” Raizel said in a lively manner.

“Yeah, and we have already decided on them. The Heaven Sundering Family Clan will be called the Abyss Family Clan and the Eternity Family Clan will be called the Eternal Family Clan,” Herman said with a smile and everyone readily agreed to those names.

“So … who is interested in doing this task?” Heron finally asked the main question. Everyone in the room started checking everyone else’s faces. The responsibility that came along with that task was quite heavy.

“There is no need to hurry. The reason we have informed you guys about this matter so early is to give you enough time to think about it,” Heron reassured them with a smile. He and his brother had been expecting something like that. Everyone nodded their heads and sighed with relief.

Heron and Herman talked about a few more things before the meeting came to an end.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

Solomon had a twisted expression on his face as he looked at one particular Divine World from Outer space. It was a low-grade Divine World and appeared grey. It was the Divine World on which the Main branch of the Calamity Sect had established itself. It had been named Calamity Divine World by the Founder of the Calamity Sect and all of it was under that sect’s control.

Solomon had received the Mental-message transmission from Herman some time ago. He was already upset because of the execution of the participants who’d absorbed the Heretical Fiery Liquid. He’d immediately rushed to annihilate the Main branch of the Calamity Sect to vent a little bit of his pent-up anger, but he had a sudden rude awakening upon reaching Calamity Divine World.

Calamity Divine World was covered by a blue-colored translucent barrier. He could tell the source of this blue-colored translucent barrier at a single glance. All the subsidiaries of the Silver Oak Sect had been protected by such a barrier since the annihilation of the Cloud Family Clan at the hands of Sheldon and company. The barriers could easily withstand the attacks even of Primordial Gods.

It was not that Solomon couldn’t break the barrier. He could very well have destroyed the barrier, as well as destroy the entire Calamity Divine World with a single full-powered attack, but to do that he would have to release his true power which would let his enemies know that he was still alive. This made it impossible for him to personally make a move on the Calamity Sect, but he had already decided to get rid of them. He also had to make sure that the Silver Oak Sect didn’t link the matter of the annihilation of the Main branch of the Calamity Sect with the situation on Grandura.

  “No wonder
you people dared to bare your fangs at my descendants, but do you really think that Anubis can protect you, when I want you people gone?” Solomon mumbled to himself and a devious smile appeared on his face. Anubis was the Sect Head of the Silver Oak Sect.

Solomon had lived for countless years, so it was natural that he had many aces hidden up his sleeves. He’d already thought of a perfect way to get rid of the Main branch of the Calamity Sect.

“Shera, I want you to annihilate the Calamity Sect,” Solomon sent a Mental-message transmission to one of his innumerable enslaved beings.

“Master are you talking about that A Grade human faction that has recently become a subsidiary of the Silver Oak Sect?” a mysterious and ancient sounding voice rang in Solomon’s mind.

“I want you make the entire situation look like some sort of vengeance from the Devil race,” Solomon said with a mysterious smile. Devils and humans have a deep-running feud between them and the two sides have been at war since the beginning of the time. So, if an Archdevil were to destroy the Main branch of the Calamity Sect, it wouldn’t be odd in the eyes of the Silver Oak Sect. They wouldn’t even think of linking the annihilation of the Main branch of Calamity Sect to the Heaven Sundering Family Clan and the Eternity Family Clan.

“Master, that bastard Anubis would go berserk and I am not strong enough to oppose him,” Shera said in a terrified tone. Clearly, he was hesitant to make a move on the Main branch of the Calamity Sect. Anubis was the name of the Sect head of the Silver Oak Sect.

“Just hide in the Inner region of Hell for the next few million years. I am sure that bastard won’t go searching for you there. The Calamity Sect is not of too much importance to them either way, so he might very well forget about it with the passage of time,” Solomon said with a vicious smile. True Hell is the Inner-most region of Hell, the region where most Devils and Demons with Cultivation Levels in Paragon God Realm live. It is completely inaccessible by the Human race.
