Ryan, Earl and Dargar looked at the Greater Ancestral Vampire with gloating expressions. Its Cultivation Level was rising rapidly and it would soon reach Early Immortal Saint Realm. This meant that the Heaven’s wrath it would face would be extremely strong after it exited the Death dimension, which would make it easier for Ryan to entice it to form an Undead contract with it.

The Greater Ancestral Vampire soon reached Early Immortal Saint Realm, while the bodies of the one hundred nineteen Lesser Ancestral Vampires had already started to wither and turn to dust.

Soon afterwards, the Greater Ancestral Vampire opened its eyes and scanned its surroundings as well as the Enslaving seal on it. It soon had a drastic change of expression, as it could tell that it had ended up in a very bad situation. It could tell that the Enslaving seal was something that it didn’t have the capability to remove with its current strength. It didn’t do anything but just patiently waited for the boy who’d enslaved it while it was a Blood imp to contact it.

“Hey! Do you wish to form an Undead contract with me?” Ryan’s voice echoed within the Death dimension.

“Why should I? You enslaved me when I was a weakling?” the Greater Ancestral Vampire said sarcastically in a masculine voice.

The Greater Ancestral Vampire had been cursing himself from the moment he’d regained his consciousness after evolving into a Greater Ancestral Vampire for absorbing the blood of some Ancient Greater Ancestral Vampire while he was still a Blood imp. Blood imps are known for their extremely low intelligence and devour anything they feel will be able to increase their strength and help them to evolve into vampires. As a result, the blood of an Ancient Greater Ancestral Vampire will be alluring to any Blood imp.

The Greater Ancestral Vampire knew he would have to face Heaven’s wrath the moment he left the Death dimension. If he hadn’t absorbed the blood of the Ancient Greater Ancestral Vampire then he would’ve just evolved into a Normal Vampire and would have at least had a chance to live, but now instead, he’d die the moment he left the Death dimension.

He’d given up on living, as he knew that his chance of survival was less than one percent. This was also the reason he was talking to Ryan so sarcastically.

“You also know that you will die the moment you leave the Death dimension, as you will have to face Heaven’s wrath. If you form an Undead contract with me, you will gain a tyrannical physique which will allow you to survive that,” Ryan said in a calm tone. He was not at all bothered by the Greater Ancestral Vampire’s sarcastic tone.

The Greater Ancestral Vampire suddenly had a change of expression.

“Are you telling the truth?” the Greater Ancestral Vampire said after a few moments of silence. It wasn’t wrong to say that the Greater Ancestral Vampire wished to live in an unrestrained manner after gaining such terrifying powers and strength, so it was natural that he would be interested in Ryan’s offer. He had nothing to lose except his life, which was already as good as gone. If he were to die, he felt that the one that would lose the most would be Ryan, as Ryan would have one less opportunity to form an equal contract or its equivalent with another being. So, he decided to take a chance. He had no idea that Death Sword had the ability to produce limitless Netherworld Honey, but if he had known that, he would definitely have vomited blood.

“Yes,” Ryan said as a smile appeared on his face. Yama, Earl and Dargar had smug expressions on their faces, as that was what they’d expected from the start.

“Let’s quickly form the Undead contract then,” the Greater Ancestral Vampire said impatiently.

“Wait a moment,” Ryan said as he left his Soul World and brought out Death Sword from his Soul World and then immediately opened the portal to the Death dimension. He bit the tip of his forefinger and dropped a few drops of blood into the Death dimension. The only drop of Netherworld Honey within the Death dimension immediately flew towards Ryan’s drops of blood and immediately fused with one of them after a single thought from Ryan. The drops of blood directly headed towards the Greater Ancestral Vampire whose entire body was covered in runes. The drops of blood immediately struck one of the runes of the Greater Ancestral Vampire following which they were quickly absorbed by that rune. Soon runes like the ones on the body of the Greater Ancestral Vampire appeared on Ryan’s body, following which a Soul link was developed between the Ryan and the Greater Ancestral Vampire. The runes on Ryan’s body disappeared after the formation of the Soul link between them.

“Roar!” the Greater Ancestral Vampire roared as he entered a deep sleep-state while his entire body was covered in Unholy black aura. This made smiles appear on Ryan and his Martial Spirits.

“Let’s see how strong he becomes after getting an Asura Physique,” Ryan said with a smile as he closed the portal to the Death dimension and sent Death Sword back to the black side of his Soul World.

Ryan then started to cultivate Death Elemental Laws again and started to advance the Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Cores within the black side of his Soul World.

  Ch.11

Sunshine City was bustling with activity due to the auction that Celestial Auction House was to conduct there within a few days. Sunshine City was even more grandiose than Heavenly City. People visiting it for the first couldn’t help but marvel at its beauty. It had magnificent buildings that were made of precious materials, enchanting gardens and ponds. The gardens and ponds had many Immortal Plant Spirits growing in them which made their beauty increase exponentially.

The Immortal Plant Spirits had restrictions placed on them so they couldn’t assume their humanoid forms. This made sure that they would never be able to escape but would continue to act as show pieces for as long as the Celestial Auction House wanted.

All the factions of Grandura, excluding the demon factions and the devil factions, had sent representatives, as the auction was an opportunity for them to gather rare Heavenly Treasures.

The Heaven Sundering Family Clan and Eternity Family Clan were no different. Nero had sent Grand Elder Victor and a few other elders to represent the Heaven Sundering Family Clan, while Rudolf had sent Nerva and a few other elders to represent the Eternity Family Clan.

Rudolf had given Nerva the position of Grand Elder in Eternity Family Clan after the ending of his banishment. No one objected, as Nerva had the necessary strength to hold the position of Grand Elder. Nerva, who was Oscar’s Great-Grandfather, had a Cultivation Level of Late Immortal Saint Realm and his strength could even rival that of Rudolf and other old fogies in the Grandura branch of the Eternity Family Clan.

“Nerva, don’t let those bastards bother you. They won’t attack us while we are within Sunshine City. We should first head to the hotel,” Victor suggested via Mental-message transmission to Nerva and the others as he and the others navigated through the crowded streets of Sunshine City. He was also keeping an eye on a few Martial Artists who’d been following them since they’d entered the city, as he was certain they belonged to factions that had joined Star Alliance. The Celestial Auction House didn’t tolerate anyone creating trouble within the confines of Sunshine City, so Victor and company didn’t have to worry about anyone attacking them.

“The news of that bastard Abaddon taking a few youngsters of your family clan as hostages in order to get Devil King Cherub released has already made my mood worse and now these bastards are openly trying to provoke us into a fight. I can’t sit still knowing that we are being tracked so openly. Those bastards are not even trying to hide themselves! It’s as if they are not at all scared of us,” Nerva said via Mental-message transmission to Victor and the others in an offended tone. If he hadn’t been inside Sunshine City, he would have already ripped them apart with his bare hands. Everyone’s expressions dampened upon thinking of Shawn and company.

“We should concentrate on the missions that our family clans have given us. I am sure that Lukas will think of some way to save Shawn and company,” Victor said via Mental-message transmission to Nerva and the others with a severe expression. Th
ey just nodded their heads helplessly, as they were too powerless to do anything for Shawn and company.

“Getting the Death Reversing Lotus won’t be easy. Others will also have their eyes on it,” one of the elders said via Mental-message transmission to Nerva and the others with a frustrated expression. He wanted to change the topic from Shawn and company to their main objective for coming to the auction.

Death Reversing Lotus is a High-grade Death Attribute Immortal Plant Spirit that is considered a Heavenly Treasure as it has the ability to bring dead people back to life provided their souls haven’t suffered any kind of damage and their Cultivation Level was below Celestial Realm when they were alive. It has twenty-eight petals and each petal can be used to bring back one person from the dead, so it was natural that many Grandura factions would be interested in it.

The Death Reversing Lotus was not of much use to the Celestial Auction House as it could only be used to bring back people with a Cultivation Level below Celestial Realm from the dead and, in any case, it is not that rare in the Divine Universe, unlike on Grandura. One can buy a Death Reversing Lotus anytime in the Divine Universe if one has sufficient wealth. The Celestial Auction House only collected stuff that is rare in the Divine Universe, while the other things are equivalent to garbage in their eyes.

The Death Reversing Lotus was of extreme importance to the Heaven Sundering and Eternity Family Clans due to the upcoming war. It could be used by both family clans to revive any powerhouse that fell in the war, as that could dramatically change the flow of a war, so Nero and Rudolf wanted to get their hands on it at all costs.

“Don’t worry about it. We have brought enough Elemental stones and other stuff to win it for our factions. The thing that concerns me the most is our return journey via the Exclusive zone,” Victor said via Mental-message transmission to Nerva and the others with a cruel expression.

Both Victor and Nerva currently had on them one third of their respective factions’ wealth. A faction that has existed for around five hundred million years will possess a frightening amount of wealth, so it was natural for Victor to be that confident about winning the Death Reversing Lotus. Concerned expressions appeared on the faces of Nerva and the others upon hearing Victor.

The Celestial Auction House doesn’t permit fighting within the Exclusive zone before the auction and if any faction breaks that rule it is barred from participating in future auctions. Sheldon and Danr had personally come to drop Victor and company, so they didn’t encounter any trouble before entering the Exclusive zone.

They soon found a hotel that still had a room available. This establishment was run by the Celestial Auction House like most businesses within Sunshine City. They quickly rented the room and moved into it. The hotel room was quite big and had all the basic amenities that Martial Artists would require during their stay there. Everyone quickly found themselves a place in the room and started to meditate, as there were still five days before the auction was to start.

The Martial Artists that had been following Victor and company quickly sent Mental-message transmissions to their masters about the hotel where Victor and company were staying. One thing was clear from their actions: things wouldn’t go smoothly for Victor and company.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

Isa, on the other hand, had just reached the area on the periphery of the Exclusive zone. He was able to see a blue-colored barrier shrouding the entire Exclusive zone. There was a boundless forest called Maya Forest on all sides of it. The Maya Forest had Treasure Lands inside it too and as a result some human factions had established themselves there. The forest was also home to very many terrifying creatures.

Isa descended into the forest when he was about four kilometers away from the Exclusive zone. At a single thought a number of bead necklaces around his neck turned into hundreds of wraiths and ghosts, all of them covered in vicious red auras.

The ghosts were no different from Black fogs with will. Ghosts are Undead beings that lack a physical body but possess a Spirit body. This makes it impossible for them to do any kind of physical attack but they possess many Innate Abilities that can target a being’s soul in numerous ways. They also possess the ability to turn invisible and erase their presence just like wraiths. They can also possess other creatures and could use their bodies as their own.

Isa had decided to use the wraiths and ghosts that had received a boost to their combat prowess from Evil boost Innate Ability, after they’d been enslaved by Ryan, as that increased the chances of success dramatically, because those wraiths and ghosts were manyfold stronger than normal ones.

All the wraiths and ghosts had a Late Immortal Saint Realm Cultivation Level. They entered the Exclusive zone after turning invisible and erasing their presence under Isa’s command. Isa made them spread out in different parts of the Exclusive zone in small groups to use them for keeping tabs on the happenings inside the Exclusive zone. The inside was also covered in thick vegetation just like the surrounding Maya Forest which made it easy for the wraiths and ghosts to find hiding places.

Isa didn’t know which part of the blue barrier the group representing the Calamity Sect would enter the Exclusive zone from, so he had no choice but to spread out the wraiths and ghosts in the Exclusive zone like that. He wished to know their exact number and the strength of each individual before making any moves on them.

Isa didn’t use Undead creatures that lacked the ability to turn invisible and erase their presence, as there was a chance otherwise that someone might notice them before he could use them to attack the members of the Calamity Sect. A smile appeared on his face once he was done hiding his ghosts and wraiths inside the Exclusive zone.

Isa then turned into black smoke and disappeared into the shadow of one of the trees nearby. He was using one of his Innate Abilities to completely erase his existence and presence. That Innate Ability allowed him to create a small separate space inside the shadow of any object. The space was extremely small, but it was enough for Isa to fit in properly. It was impossible for beings even with a Cultivation Level above Immortal Realm to detect him, as he no longer existed in the same dimension as Grandura.

Isa sat in a meditative position and closed his eyes at once. He started watching the happenings within the Exclusive zone through the eyes of the wraiths and ghosts under his command and was thus able to monitor every activity within the Exclusive zone, while he waited for the arrival of Calamity Sect’s representative group.

He didn’t have to wait for long before they arrived. The Calamity Sect had sent forty individuals of which thirty-three had Late Immortal Saint Realm Cultivation Levels, four had Cultivation Levels in varying stages of the Mortal Saint Realm and the remaining three had Cultivation Levels in varying stages of the Immortal Elite Realm.

Isa could tell that the seven Martial Artists in Mortal Saint Realm and Immortal Elite Realm were the youngsters from the Main branch of the Calamity Sect. Those youngsters were not trying to hide their Cultivation Levels, as no one could tell that they were below the age of thirty without doing a bone test on them. Most would think of them as old fogies with young appearances.

Isa wanted to rip them apart, but he held himself back because of Ryan’s instructions. His face wore a murderous expression until they disappeared into the gates of Sunshine City. Isa didn’t exit the space that he had created within the shadow of the tree and continued to keep tabs on the activities within the Exclusive zone via the eyes of the wraiths and ghosts as he had nothing else to do either way at that moment.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

It had already been two days since Ryan had formed the Undead contract with the Greater Ancestral Vampire. It was still shrouded in Unholy black light and had yet to completely gain the Asura Physique from Yama.

Ryan, on the other hand, was still in a deep Cultivation state and his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core within the black side of his Soul World would soon advance to Earl
y Mortal King Realm.

After a few hours, an explosion occurred within Ryan’s body.

  Boom!!

His Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core within the black side of his Soul World had finally advanced to Early Mortal King Realm! The purity of his Death Attribute Liquid Spirit had increased by a notch and was flowing through his entire body in an unrestrained manner, which in turn increased his bodily toughness and strength by leaps and bounds.

He was certain now that he could finish off an Early Mortal Emperor Realm Martial Artist with extreme ease and contend with a Mid Mortal Emperor Realm Martial Artist, if he used Liquid Spirit Power to power his attacks.

His bodily toughness had increased to a whole new level where even Early Mortal Sage Realm Martial Artists would be unable to injure him and Mid Mortal Sage Realm Martial Artists would have a hard time harming him. The strength of his soul had also increased, so now its strength was equivalent to that of Early Mortal Sage Realm Martial Artists, which meant that now his soul attacks could endanger the lives of Early Mortal Sage Realm Martial Artists. The range of his Soul-sense had once again increased, so it now had a range of one hundred forty meters which was almost double the range of any normal Early Mortal King Realm Martial Artist.

The Liquid Spirit Power inside his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core had become many times purer than before, which would further increase the power of his Death Attribute and Fire Attribute attacks as well as any Innate Abilities that required Death Attribute Liquid Spirit Power and Fire Attribute Spirit Power.

The Hell’s Fire flame that burned around his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core had strengthened to a whole new level. He could now burn any Early Mortal Emperor Realm beings into nothingness without them being able to resist at all.
