Gianni (Mafia Heat, #2)

by Jade, Ella

“Ah...” I moaned when he swirled his tongue along my entrance. Licking, sucking, nipping... The more he tasted, the less anxious I became until my stomach muscles coiled into a tight knot. The sensation of being yanked in every direction overwhelmed me as he pleased me with his mouth, tongue, and fingers. My legs quivered as I teetered on the edge of an orgasm. “Gianni!” I screamed out his name as I rocked my head from side to side, clawing at the mattress as I spread my legs wide and let him have me.

I melted into the bed too sated to move but I was acutely aware of my surroundings. Through hooded eyes, I watched his every move. He lowered his zipper and tugged his jeans and boxers down his legs. I’d held his erection in my hand the other night but I hadn’t looked. Holy shit! It was in line with the rest of his form. Long, thick, bulging... How was that going to fit inside me?

“You’re certain?” His voice was low and encouraging.

“I want this,” I assured him. “I want us.”

Stepping closer, he gripped my legs, extending them as he moved between them. “I don’t want to hurt you but I might not succeed.” He lowered himself on top of me. “I’ll be gentle.”

“You don’t have to be careful.”

“Yes, I do.” He brushed his lips along mine as he reached between us, pressing the tip of his shaft against my opening. I wiggled my pelvis, trying to work with him. “Let me.” When he kissed me, he shifted his hips forward, sliding inside me.

“Oh!” I really wanted to scream ouch but he would stop and I didn’t want that. “Just do it.” The faster he did it, the better it would feel, right?

“Look at me.” He raised my hips off the bed. “Take a deep breath.”

“Okay.” I inhaled as I buried my face in the crook of his neck.

“Trust me.” With one quick thrust forward he broke my barrier. “Breathe.”

  “Ah...”

“Keep eye contact with me.” He enticed me to look at him. “I want to make sure you’re okay.”

His calm and steady voice complimented his warm and caring eyes. After a few moments, he moved in and out of me, slow and deliberate. The burning sensation subsided and I’d forgotten how nervous I’d been.

“We’re making love,” I stated the obvious because I was deliriously happy.

“Yes, Angel, we are.” He kissed my neck and breasts as he kept a steady pace inside me. “It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced.”

  “With me?”

“Only you.” He wrapped my legs around his waist, taking me deeper than before. Placing his hands on the bed for support, he increased his rhythm.

“Gianni...” I held onto his arms, indulging in the ride.

I wanted to tell him how much I’d loved him through the years. How long I’d waited for him. When I gazed up at him, I lost my breath. His muscles were stiff, his jaw tight, and the veins in his shoulders and neck pulsed with each thrust forward. The sweat beaded off his forehead as he threw his head back. He was caught up in his own pleasure. It was stunning. He was remarkable.

“Angelique.” My name fell from his lips on a low, muddled moan and with one final thrust forward he filled me with a burst of warmth. “Oh... so good.”

After a moment, he collapsed on top of me, breathing heavy, covering me in his strength. Our hearts beat hard against one another as the sheen of sweat cooled our fiery flesh. He kissed my collarbone, making his way to my jaw. Taking my face between his hands, claiming me as he always did, he kissed me. The connection was long, slow, loving. Passionate.

  “Are you okay?” he whispered.

  “I’m better than okay.”

“Yeah?” He grinned. “I tried not to hurt you but I may have lost control at the end.”

“You didn’t hurt me.” I assured him with a kiss. “I’m glad I waited for you, Gianni.”

  “I am too, Angel.”

  GIANNI

  My One

“Are you sure I can’t get you anything?” I got into bed, pulling the covers over us both as I turned to face her. “Are you thirsty? Hungry?”

“I’m fine.” She rested her palm on my cheek. “As long as I have you, I don’t need anything.”

“What we did was so special.” I twirled her hair around my finger. “I want to take care of you.”

“You’ve brought me a bottle of water, a warm wet towel, a warm dry towel, a glass of wine, and a heating pad.” She crinkled her nose and contemplated for a moment. “Why do I need a heating pad?”

“I don’t know.” I laughed over how absurd I was being. “I’m trying to be attentive.”

“You’re sweet.” She kissed me. “Thank you for being so wonderful.”

“Tonight means a lot to me. I meant what I said before we came upstairs.”

  “About you being my only?”

“I’ve never experienced a connection like this to anyone. I know we’re moving fast.”

  “It feels right.”

I was a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. I didn’t look too far ahead into the future. I lived for the moment. She changed all of that. With her, I wanted it all. “Stay the night with me.” There was no way I could let her go after what we’d shared. “I can’t let you leave.”

  “I don’t want to leave.”

“Good because I’m not done with you.”

  “You’re not?”

  “That was only part one.”

  “Hmm... do tell.”

“You’ll know when we’re ready for part two.” I set my hand on her hip. “I can get your phone if you want to text your dad.”

“I already told him I wouldn’t be coming home tonight.”

  “When?”

“Before I left the main house.” Her lips curved into a satisfied grin. “I had a feeling we’d end up in your bed.”

“You seduced me?” I opened my mouth in mock horror. “I like it.”

“I thought you might but I think I need to work on my seduction. I’m kind of awkward.”

“You’re kind of perfect. Don’t change.”

“Now that I’m spending the night, I realize I should have been a forward thinker.”

  “What do you mean?”

“I know I said as long as I have you, I have everything.”

  “That’s true.”

“You’re so modest.” She giggled. “That’s one of the things I love about you. I mean, well, like about you in the sense that you have so many good qualities.”

“You’re being awkward again.” Did saying the word love bother her? I didn’t read into her statement. “What is it that you need?”

“Sorry.” Her cheeks darkened. “You make me silly.”

“I’ve noticed.” I brought her fingers to my lips. “You were saying.”

“I didn’t bring a change of clothes or pajamas.”

“You definitely don’t need pajamas.” I smiled. “Trust me.”

  She rolled her eyes.

“As for clothes and anything else, I’ll handle it.”

  “What will you do?”

“That falls under the category of me taking care of you.” I kissed her fingers. “Don’t worry about it. You’ll have everything you need by morning.” One quick call to my friend Kendal and she’d have the finest clothes, shoes, and accessories delivered from her boutique.

“How will you pull that off by morning?”

“Never underestimate a determined man.” Now that she was in my bed, I wasn’t letting her leave. A new wardrobe was a piece of cake. “Are you hungry?”

  “Not really.”

“It’s not that late. What would you like to do?”

“Can we stay in bed a while longer?”

“You don’t have to ask me that twice.” I kissed her because it was difficult not to. “We can eat later.”

“I had so much fun this afternoon. Your mom and grandma are incredible women.”

“You fit right in.” There was something familiar about her in my mother’s kitchen.
It had been my brothers and I all these years but Nadia and Angelique seemed to belong. Like they’d always been there. Laughing, cooking, and being part of the family. Talk about getting ahead of myself.

“What did your grandmother say?” she asked.

  “When?”

“Before you left the main house tonight?”

“Ah... you don’t speak Italian.” I played with her hair. “She said you were beautiful and I agreed.”

“She’s a force to be reckoned with.” She draped her arm over my hip. “Did she always live with you?”

“She and my grandfather split their time between here and Italy. When he passed away, she moved in with us. She has a suite off the main house but it’s accessible from the kitchen. That’s where she likes to spend most of her time. She loves feeding us.”

“It’s wonderful that she’s around. She’s very wise.”

More than you know. “Mama Stella said something else tonight.”

  “Did she?”

  “She said you're my one.”

  “That’s sweet.”

“There’s a story behind it. She always has a story. Would you like to hear it?”

  “Yes.”

“When we were growing up, she would say that everybody has a one. We’d watch a movie and she’d say that the characters were each other’s one. Unless one of them did something she didn’t like. Then it was a deal breaker.”

“I bet she’s a good indicator of who belongs with who.”

“Vincenzo is the first of us to get her Sicilian stamp of approval. She says Nadia is right for his soul. She’ll also let you know when someone isn’t the one.”

“Oh, who did she do that to?”

“A few cousins, some aunts, and once we were even at a wedding and she told the groom he made a mistake.”

  “Oh no!”

“The Marchellis were asked to leave that reception.” I shook my head when I remembered all of us walking out before dinner. “Mama Stella was right though. The marriage didn’t last a year. Turned out the bride was sleeping with the best man.”

  “That’s terrible.”

The groom had the audacity to ask us for a favor even after he humiliated us by kicking us out. He wanted us to handle the situation of his cheating wife and best friend. We declined.

“Mama Stella wasn’t a fan of Gia’s mother either. Before Dominick and Rachael had Gia, Mama Stella insisted that she was not the one for Dominick but their whirlwind romance created Gia and when that happened we all hoped for the best.”

  “Mama Stella was right again?”

  “Sadly.”

  “Where is Rachael now?”

“Out of Gia’s life for good. She’s an addict. Dominick tried for years to get her clean. To help her with whatever she needed but she can’t do it. Not even for her kid, so Dom had to cut her off.”

  “That’s sad.”

“It’s been hard for Dominick because he would never deny Gia anything but he won’t subject her to a mother who jeopardizes her well-being.”

  “Addiction affects everyone.”

“It really does. We’ve been watching it tear Dominick apart for years because he did love his daughter’s mother but he will always put Gia first.”

“I like learning about your family. You’re all very complex but so intriguing.”

“I hope you’ll stick around long enough to get all the details.”

“I have to.” Her faced beamed. “I’m your one.”

  I hope so.

I brought her face close to mine, kissing her for a few moments before guiding her onto her back and getting on top of her. When she inadvertently licked her bottom lip before biting down on it my cock hardened.

  “It’s time for part two.”

  ANGELIQUE

The sun streamed in from the skylight above my head, making it hard to keep my eyes closed. I sat up, searching for Gianni but he wasn’t there. I checked the time on my phone. After eleven! I hadn’t slept that late since I was in college. We did go to bed around three. I guess it wasn’t that bad that I slept this late.

I draped the sheet around me, remembering I didn’t have anything to wear but last night’s clothes.

“You’re awake.” Gianni came into the room carrying boxes and bags. “Did you sleep well?”

“There’s something about your bed that puts me in a deep sleep.”

“You belong in my bed.” He set the packages in the corner of the room by the closet. “I had breakfast sent down from the main house. It’s in the kitchen when you’re ready.”

  “Your grandmother made us breakfast?”

“My grandmother doesn’t cook every meal. My mom has a personal chef who comes in several times a week. Saturday morning’s is one of those times. On any given weekend you’ll find one or all five of us guys having breakfast at the house.”

“Oh, it’s great how close you all are.” I stretched my neck to look at the pile in the corner of the room. “What’s all that?”

  “You got a delivery.”

  “I did?”

“You said you didn’t have any clothes so I fixed that.” He sat on the bed with me. “Good morning.” He leaned in and kissed me. “How are you?”

“Happy.” I grinned. “You had time to get us breakfast and managed to have clothes delivered for me?”

“Well, I swung by the main house on my morning run to arrange breakfast and I texted Kendal, my personal shopper, last night and told her what I needed. When you know how to get things done, it’s not a problem.”

  “Your morning run?”

“Just an easy six miles around the property.”

“Why did you let me sleep this late?” I suddenly felt lazy compared to him.

“I kept you up really late and I may have over worked you.” He traced his finger along my lips. “I wanted you to rest.”

“Because you’re not done with me?”

“Not by a long shot.” He motioned toward the packages. “I’m sure you’re feeling the afterglow of what we shared last night.”

“I am a little sore.” My muscles were tired and I was tender in a couple places but it was totally worth it. “In a good way.”

“Why don’t we have breakfast and then you can look through the stuff Kendal sent over? She has amazing taste. I’m sure you’ll be completely satisfied.”

“You didn’t have to get me all of that.”

“I’m hoping you’ll spend the weekend.” He raked his fingers through my hair, taming the tangled mess. “And many other nights here with me. If you wanted...”

“I’d love to.” I pointed to the bags. “I can’t wait to see what’s in there. Thank you.” I kissed his cheek, rubbing my jaw against his stubble. “Is there a toothbrush in one of those bags?”

“You’ll find what you need in the bathroom.” He stood. “Take your time. I left one of my shirts for you. Come down for breakfast and then after I’ll draw you a bath.”

  “Where did you come from?”

“I’ve been here all along.” He pressed his lips to mine. “I’m just glad you found me.”

“I’ve always known where to find you but now I’ll never lose you.”

  Chapter Twelve

  ANGELIQUE

  Is It Necessary?

After my bath, I stood in the doorway that connected the master bathroom to Gianni’s bedroom. He tugged his shirt over his shoulders and down his taut back, concealing his beautiful tattoos. They weren’t the only things he had hidden. As he adjusted his shirt, I spied a gun tucked in the waistband of his pants.

I didn’t know why the presence of his gun surprised me. It wasn’t as if I didn’t know who he was. Maybe it was because I didn’t see him as a mob enforcer. Or I didn’t want to believe that was what he really did.

“Hey.” He turned and smiled at me. “Did you have a good bath?”

“It was lonely.” I sat on the edge of the bed.

“Sorry.” He took a seat next to me. “I’ll make su
re that never happens again.”

  “Are you going out?”

“I have to take care of something for my dad but I shouldn’t be long.”

“Do you always carry a gun?”

“Only when it’s necessary.” He caressed my cheek, gazing down at my new, cranberry-colored sweater “I like this on you. Kendal didn’t disappoint with her selections.”

“Is it necessary today?” I couldn’t focus on anything other than the gun.

“Angel, there’s nothing for you to worry about.” He glanced at his watch. “My mother is making pizza with all sorts of delicious toppings. The Buffalo chicken is my favorite. Dominick likes the peppers and onions, and Santino favors the cheesesteak one. All of my brothers and Nadia are coming for dinner tonight. Maybe some board games will make an appearance. Do you want to go?”

“Pizza and board games?” I couldn’t help but laugh because it all seemed normal. Even though my new boyfriend was running an errand for his mob boss father while carrying a concealed weapon, the Marchellis appeared to be the perfect family.

“Yeah, my mother makes the best homemade pizza. I thought you could help her while I’m out. If you wanted. Mama Stella would love it if you came back.” He kissed my lips so tenderly I almost didn’t feel it. “I could drop you at the main house on my way out.”

“Do you have to go out?”

  “I do.”

“Is there anything I can do to persuade you to stay?” I touched his thigh as I licked my lips. “I might be ready for more.”

“Hmm...” He tangled his fingers in my hair, bringing my face close to his as he bit his lip. “I’ll keep that in mind for later.”

“How about now?” I stole a kiss as I slithered my hand to his belt. “We could stay in bed all afternoon.”

“Your persistence is sexy but I have to go.” He brushed his mouth along my jaw. “I won’t be long.”

  “Gianni?” I pouted.

“We have all night.” He gripped my hand. “I promise.”

“If I asked you where you were going, would you tell me?” I couldn’t let it go because I knew he couldn’t tell me. Wouldn’t tell me. That bothered me more than I thought it would.
