ITER – The International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor is a transnational nuclear fusion investigation and engineering megaproject and is one of the world's largest magnetic confinement plasma physics experimentation projects.
Jump Gate – In appearance, it is like a sizeable donut-shaped object, depending on size it stands between ten and twenty feet in diameter, serves as a portal for teleportation, and maximizes the inconceivable abilities of quantum entanglement in order to allow a user, multiple users, and/or luggage and supplies to transport from one point in the Universe to another in an instant. It is linked to the Twelve Database Moons and can be built and maintained using a cloud of nanos.
Jump Gate Terminal – A series of jump gates arranged for mass transit, much like an airport.
LGA – Laughter Gun Array - There are two laughter gun arrays or LGAs. LGAs are designed as the first step of defense to reduce hostilities in a less hostile yet reasonable manner by increasing humor, no matter the creature, in such a way as to enable a Sky-Model HBCI to heal and create neural links for communication, diplomacy, and shared well-being. Each spacecraft has a system designed to use this system as the first measure against hostilities, so the IMC can return to the mission at hand. The worst that can come of an LGA is laughter-inducing humor.
LHC - Large Hadron Collider – (please see the definition for CERN)
Local Supercluster - This is a grouping of galaxies bound by gravity, all existing in the same Filament, in this case, the supercluster that Earth belongs to (please see definition for filament).
LWO - Linguistic Warrant Officer - There are twenty LWOs on board each UAS Presidential and IMC Command Spacecraft. They are ultimately responsible for communication throughout the Universe. They take Sky's and other HBCI's communication bridges and create language reading, writing, speaking, and understanding packages for each crew member with access to them and requisite training available within the Virtual Universe. Due to time dilation and the capacity of operational crew areas to interface with the Virtual Universe on-duty, they also provide near-real-time interpretation and translation services for the purposes of diplomacy, peace, and reduction of hostilities.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs – As used in this story, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs describes physiological, safety, belonging and love, esteem, and self-actualization as the embodiment of human needs and motivations. In Eliza’s manner of leadership, humanity must progress to the point at which the first four needs are met by the environment one is exposed to from birth. Through biopods, Eliza has provided the primary four needs and exhorts people to go forward from there and seek self-actualization through innovation, kindness, and service to toward the purposes of the preservation of the Universe and all of life within it.
M-CCO - Microwave Camera Control Officer - There are four M-CCOs on board each UAS Presidential and IMC Command Spacecraft. They are primarily responsible for managing all microwave transmissions and activity and providing situational awareness and briefings via the Virtual Universe and in the real world to apprise Commanders and other leaders as necessary.
Multiverse – The multiverse, in the “Further Than Before” series, is the endless groupings of multiple universes, including our own. More will be discussed regarding the multiverse in further books in this series.
Myostatin - This is a hormone within our cells that as we age causes us to lose muscle mass and density. There are currently studies underway to dampen these effects or reverse them altogether. Nanos or nanos - These are small teleportation and micro-organism healing-capable, highly sophisticated and reprogrammable, self-replicating and self-maintaining microscopic cold-fusion factory robots that can be programmed within the Virtual Universe with the benefits of time-dilation to optimize physiology, neurology, buildings, spacecraft, or any construct conceivable and inconceivable. These are the backbone of the UAS and the IMC and are sometimes referred to as bio-nanos, neural-nanos, nano clouds, and nanosystems.
NAV - Navigation Officer - There are four NAVs on board each UAS Presidential and IMC Command Spacecraft, and at least one for each support spacecraft, with its own AI accounting for one NAV. They are responsible for working with spacecraft commanders, and they are those who are most well-versed on the locations they are in or will be navigating toward. They do a majority of their work within the Virtual Universe while simultaneously available live and in the real world. They'll send highly robust sensors to every location the Commander or President wishes to jump to, analyze the area within several parsecs, and coordinate with the President and Commanders to make the jump.
Neural identification - Every individual is truly unique, as such no two minds, human, creature, HBCI, or AI, alike, share the same expressions, personality, or character since their neurology and physiology are always at least a little unique. Since that is the case, early on Eliza found a way to precisely identify shared thoughts from our own through a neurological identification code or a neural identification, and she made it impervious to hacking. With a neural identification, individuals are granted access to anything necessary within Pathway for the purposes and missions inherent within Universal Ethics. A person is also allowed a private compartmentalized region of the mind for personal and private thoughts, so long as actions expressed demonstrate that their minds are keeping within accordance of the principles of Universal Ethics (i.e., common sense: no murders, rapes, emotional or physical abuse, no destruction of others’ property, and no theft of others’ gains made through honest diligence and intent).
Neurological Optimization - This is one of two structural upgrades to any living being who is optimized via a biopod or via an HBCI, like Sky Taylor. This upgrade is one that affords, at a minimum, an increase in the higher virtues of kindness, compassion, and empathy, as well as clarity of mind toward what one can do to advance civilization and improve upon a legacy worthy of preserving for the long-haul.
At a minimum, a neurological optimization cures an individual of neurological disorders of any form, thereby allowing a person to enjoy life and appreciate others as well as themselves. Finally, an individual will have private or intimate thoughts protected within a specialized-compartmentalization of their brain, so long as they do not harm or cause undue consequence to the personal freedoms of others to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and consent. As time goes by anyone can learn countless skills, abilities, and a rich level of education and experiences and find instant recall and amazing knowledge convergence when tackling issues.
Nobel Laureate - This is someone who has been a recipient of the Nobel Prize in any of a number of specific areas, from Physics to Philosophy. The Nobel Prize has been in existence since 1901, has been awarded on 585 occasions to 923 individuals and organizations. It is named after Swedish inventor, Alfred Noble. The idea is to recognize entities who have demonstrated outstanding achievements within the fields of literature, medicine, physics, chemistry, economics and activism for peace with one of the most prestigious awards.
Non-Baryonic Matter – In this book series, the author loosely coins this as material that, as far as we know now, we have no ability to touch, sense, or have an influence on. Think of every element on the Periodic Table, everything you can see, stars, galaxies, etc., and every particle that impacts our lives, like photons, quarks, and electrons, and so much more as baryonic matter, all else, such as dark matter and dark energy is non-baryonic matter. However, the correct definition of non-baryonic matter includes electrons, photons, and anything other than triquark configurations, such as protons and neutrons. All baryonic matter, which we interact with comprises 4.6% of the Universe. Please note that there are a variety of statistics, all with regard to energy and mass, dark matter comprises approximately 23% of the energy of the Universe and dark energy 72%.

CCO - Optical Camera Control Officer - There are four O-CCOs on board each UAS Presidential and IMC Command Spacecraft. They are primarily responsible for managing all optical transmissions and activity and providing situational awareness and briefings via the Virtual Universe and in the real world to apprise Commanders and other leaders as necessary.
Octodecillion - This is a substantial number, if one billion is two and one trillion is three, octodecillion is eighteen. Eliza's wealth is in the Octodecillions, and as such, she finances all of humanity's change to a better future. She pays all debts, finances all education and medical care, and provides massive dividends to working taxpayers, and rehabilitation programs for those who were once with little hope beyond a brutal future. With this in play, self-actualization becomes Universal and is done in a manner that expresses respect for life with quality.
Optogenetics – For the purposes of this book series, optogenetics is a method that uses light-sensitive proteins, called opsin, which may have had the most significant overall impact on the evolution of all gifted creatures by developing eyesight. This perhaps coincided with the development of occipital lobes, a system the brain uses to process visual information. By using opsin, neuroscientists, including Dr. Edward Boyden who has taken the lead in neuroscience on overcoming issues such as Parkinson’s and epilepsy, can conduct this non-invasive technique to understand and explore the mind more fully. Through this, they have developed a biological method allowing opsin to genetically modify the brain’s neurons to effectively turn on or off individual neurons or a region of them by using light to control cells and living tissue.
Parallel Universe - The possibility of other locations similar to ours in almost every way, yet with a more idealistic or dystopian reality. Physics-wise this could be a universe comprised of antimatter, perhaps existing within the great voids throughout space, or it could be a part of the multiverse, that is connected in an altered way with our Universe. (Please see “Multiverse”)
Paranoidis Capitalis - The only noted fictional anti-humanitarian group¸ otherwise known as Anti-Pathway in this book series. This group believes the Earth is flat, that humanity should not meddle with nature, that theoretical physics and modern astronomy is all a hoax and are willing to use violence and brutality to subdue and control the masses. They have little respect for life or anything humanitarian in nature. Their leader unsuccessfully attempts to kill Vesha.
Pathway – This is the organization founded by Eliza Amber Williams, beginning with three members as Pathway LLC, Eliza, Yesha Alevtina, and James Cooper. With all three at the helm, they build the infrastructure necessary to create and sustain life with benevolent sentience, Universe-wide. Pathway LLC becomes Pathway Industries in 2012, and not much later it becomes Pathway. All three are responsible for establishing the Universal Party and, together, they garnered the support necessary to inspire all nations, globally, to form the United Allied States. Due to their preparations, solar-system-wide, humanity catches up through inspiration and clarity of mind, and become ready to span the cosmos with an honorable legacy to share, of a unique and common goal, to preserve the life of the Universe.
Pathway Convention Center - The primary physical location, in the US, used to conduct mass real-world meetings and training. This large location is more significant in size than several football stadiums combined. People who are not read-in can drive and park in a massive undercover parking facility using valet service. Those who are read-in can use the hyperloop system and jump gates to arrive there. This center is attached to a vast dormitory for visitors and refugees, and each domicile is more luxurious than a penthouse suite in the most expensive hotels throughout the globe. This is also linked to the labs and other immense facilities within the Melrose, Massachusetts, Campus.
Pathway Covert Campus - Located within many locations throughout Earth and the solar system, this campus is connected through a series of hyperloops and jump gates. This is where the most technologically advanced breakthroughs are made and protected, before proliferation throughout the furthest reaches of the globe and the solar system.
Physiological Optimization - This is one of two structural upgrades to any living being via a biopod or an HBCI, like Sky Taylor. This upgrade is one that affords, at a minimum, being cured of any and all physiological and neurological ailments, diseases, or complications. Receiving the full set of optimizations grants a Pathway citizen the abilities for controlled and heightened senses. Additionally, they will find their cells have rejuvenated to where their physique is as amazing as they would have imagined it being as if they were an optimized twenty-two-year-old. As an individual learns and uses their new skills, such as microscopic, telescopic, and every other type of vision imagined, their powers increase and multiply. If a person demonstrates ill-will toward others, they will begin to return to their natural state and age like normal, upon the option of going through the Correctional Matrix, all can be regained.
Quantum Computing – For the purposes of this book, a quantum computer helps to determine best courses of action in split seconds. This deterministic tool also allows for time dilation to be used when interfaced with and within the Virtual Universe, where individual particles of every variety can be manipulated. As is described throughout the story, there are many more amazing things that can be done, courtesy of quantum computing. In the real world, it is a system that can provide calculations based on quantum bits, or qubits, it is a system that uses entanglement to offer both 0s and 1s, neither, or one or the other, and the result is indeterminate of effect unless the beholder takes advantage of each state of quantum entanglement.
Q-Core - Quantum Core - This name is short for quantum entanglement and disentanglement core, but it is abbreviated to Q-Core. These types of core, engines, or drives can function at a robust level doing a myriad of multiple tasks at once and can be programmed specifically for the spacecraft itself, similar to the training of the mind of a human or any sentient being. There are thirty-two in each UAS Presidential and IMC Command Spacecraft, with at least two in each UAS IMT Support Spacecraft as well, for essential system redundancy and increased overall capabilities. These are the neural networks of the spacecraft AI and are controlled by the AI such that all systems and functions can be automated with Command Crew Pre-Coordination. This technology is also what is used to teleport the spacecraft, or in other words jump the crew, the personnel, and its cargo to any location of interest, request, and coordination. It is also designed to improve upon environmental conditions for the crew, mend any damage from any source, and so much more. A single Q-Core can run all of the functions for the spacecraft indefinitely, but multiple redundancies increase the effectiveness of the spacecraft range of abilities as controlled by the Spacecraft or IMC Commander by nearly a million parsecs.
Q-Drive - Quantum Drive - The actual name was originally going to be quantum entanglement and disentanglement drive. As with the Q-Core, this drive is AI-controlled and can be automated with command and crew pre-coordination. There are thirty-two these engines on board and safely located internally. The navigation packages and sensors are distributed throughout the shielding of all UAS Presidential and IMC Command Spacecraft. At least two are on board all UAS IMT Support Spacecraft. The Q-Drive can teleport or jump any spacecraft from one location to another using pre-positioned sensors to gather information from and to travel to any destination as coordinated by the command crew. There are many other robust abilities and uses for these drives as well.
Quantum Entanglement – This is a quantum mechanical marvel wherein the quantum conditions of two or more entities can be described with reference to each other, even though the separate entities may be spatially separated.
Quantum Sensor or Sensor - These sensors are the primary intelligence gathering devices of all UAS IMC Spacecraft, and among other purposes, they are used to travel from point to point anywhere throughout our Observable Universe.
Real world - "Real world", i.e. ‘the real world,’ or “real-world,”
i.e., in ‘real-world politics’ (grammar dependent), both are used in this story redundantly and in this way to differentiate between what is known and proliferated in a public environment from what is developed and improved upon with Pathway eyes only.
Red Blood Cells – These cells play a vital role in our health by cycling fresh oxygen throughout our bodies, and our blood consists of between forty to forty-five percent of these critical cells. About 2.4 million new erythrocytes are made each second in human grownups.
