  “I have arrived my king” the man clads in a dark cloak announced.

  The shadow king grinned. “Have you killed them?”

  “Yes my Lord… and I got some news” the dark-cloaked man added.

  The shadow king beckoned on him. "Tell me"

  "I have felt a power from a Flareling coming from a far planet and it was having some anger problems…” the dark-cloaked man stated.

  “Was his power from A-rank?” the king asked.

  The dark-cloaked man shook his head in the negative. “No, for what I felt I think it was just an E-class”

  “Interesting, then I will order you instead of my soldiers to kill him, I order you to go” the shadow king instructed.

  “Understood” the dark-cloaked man fell on his knees in utmost reverence.

  “Soon we shall be the last ones standing” the shadow king chortled hysterically.

  Markson and the team were getting prepared to leave the building. “Everyone pack up everything important”

  “I’m good now” Lysie said.

  “I am fine, what about you Linex?” Joe asked.

  Linex came out, clad in new clothes. “Yeah I’m ready now”

  The Blood Borne Hood appeared and stood just at the entrance of the building. “Ok then, everybody is ready then turn the vehicles on” Tempest grunted.

  “Tempest you will have this vehicle…” Markson gave Tempest and the others a truck with two heavy guns at both sides.

  “I’ll drive” Tempest declared excitedly.

  “But I wanted to” Bain whined.

  “Well like I said Linex, Joe and Kenry will be on the helicopter and I will be in my robot machine” Markson recapitulated.

  “What about me?” Stephen asked feeling left out.

  “Oh well… you can use this pistol” Markson said handing Stephen a pistol.

  “Markson he is a kid you know?” Linex pointed out.

  “Ahhh fine then, use this armor it will be useful for Tempest and the others which you can use to shield them and yourself” Markson replied handing him a double shield.

  “Thank you!” Stephen said excitedly.

  “Good then, Let’s go” Tempest muttered anxiously.

  Everybody entered the vehicles. Lysie headed towards Linex while he is entering the helicopter.

  “Linex!” she called after him.

  “Yeah Lysie?” Linex turned to face her.

  “Just wanted to tell you that… be careful ok?” Lysie warned. "Don't go into a rampage again”

  Linex smiled. “I will Lysie don’t worry and you too alright? See ya there”

  Lysie headed back to the truck.

  “Team B, I need you to get a different direction” Markson said through the radio.

  Tempest groaned. “Team B? it’s the blood born… never mind. Its blood borne hood what do they think we are a joke…” Tempest murmured grumpily.

  “By the way Markson, are we visible to the cameras around the city? I mean being in a helicopter is obvious that we are up to something, especially if we are heading to the base” Linex pointed out.

  “You can’t see it, but we are invisible” Markson replied.

  “Wait really?” Linex asked.

  “Yeah, it is very necessary when we are getting closer to the base, obviously” Markson nodded.

  “Oh… ok then, sorry for the stupid question ha-ha” Linex replied laughing.

  About ten minutes later, they arrived at the military base, but they needed to keep a safe distance. “We have arrived” Markson communicated via radio again.

  “Yes, but first we need to know if the plan will work” Tempest replied.

  “This seems to be a problem…” Markson sighed.

  “We need to stay to get the right moment to attack” Linex offered, he couldn't exactly wait.

  “Exactly, for now let’s wait until one of those soldiers over there opens the gate, when that happens Tempest gets to the front of the gate with the truck undiscovered and when they are on guard throw a sleep grenade to them which I can see that those soldiers are rookies. Right after you throw it, enter the base at full speed and that would be our turn to jump in the air and I don’t need to because I am in my machine” Markson said.

  “What about the helicopter?” Linex asked.

  “Oh that? Just jump I don’t care about it” Markson dismissed his worries.

  “Ok? Got it then, remember guys the moment the gates open we will leave” Tempest said to the others.

  The soldiers finally opened the gates after twenty minutes of waiting.

  Tempest radioed Markson. “That was perfect timing… very well it’s my time to shine”

  “Let’s go!” Markson declared.

  Everyone got ready and after the truck arrived at the front gate, the soldiers were curious pointing their guns at the truck.

  “Show yourself” the soldiers demanded.

  “I don’t need to” Tempest said throwing the grenades and most of the soldiers fell to the ground trying to escape the explosives.

  “Stephen get ready to be our shield!” Lysie shouted.

  “Got it” Stephen said activating the shield.

  “Let’s rock this place and roll some soldiers” Tempest grinned going at full speed to the entrance and breaks in.

  The base's alarm system rang loudly, and more soldiers came out.

  “Hurry jump!” Markson instructed.

  “Let’s do this Joe” Linex said addressing his friend.

  “You got it noob” They both fist bumped and jumped into the base.

  “Wait for me you little brats!” Kenry called after them, jumping too. The moment of saving Aiden had started.

  CHAPTER 19

  RESCUERS VS HUNTERS

  As they free-fell from the helicopter towards the military base, Kenry screamed with excitement.

  “Now I can say this guy is crazy” Joe said with contempt.

  “Wujuuuu yeah!” Linex shouted.

  Joe laughed. “And you too Linex”

  They crashed to the ground. Markson scrambled up hastily and proceeded to blast a hole in the wall that led to the base.

  The blast shook the base, but after the smoke had cleared, a hunter stood where the wall should have crumbled. He had knocked away the beam.

  “Damn, who are they!” Markson cried in astonishment.

  More hunters came in the area. “We are The Ghosts of Nazareth, I am Brook and this is Wrath and we were ordered to take you down” they declared. They didn't seem scared or perturbed by the menace that Team Magna could pose.

  “Well then that’s a stupid name” Markson said bitterly.

  The soldiers started to shoot at Team Magna. However, Markson blocked the gunshots using a barrier. But the barrier had also protected The Ghost of Nazareth.

  “Well let’s see what you got, fools” Wrath growled angrily.

  Linex powered up and fire blazed around him while Joe activated his robotic enhancements to its maximum strength and Kenry did the same, his body turning into metal. He had hidden that feature, the last time he had fought Joe.

  “So you were holding back” Joe commented.

  “Yeah any problem?” Kenry grinned.

  “Yeah… I hate you” Joe muttered, then they clashed with their assailants.

  Tempest activated her powers and created superstorms around most of the soldiers. Picking and blowing them away.

  Lysie also got into her battle suit and threw her special attack called; Boomerang Wheels. Which was an attack that allowed her grab at two plates from her skating wheels, throwing them in form of a wind shuriken.

  “There are too many soldiers here” Tempest noted still fighting.

  “Yes but I'm faster than they can see" Lysie said quickly attacking all soldiers around the area while Tempest used her powers to clear them out, enabling her get
to Markson and the others.

  “Stephen we need you know activate the armor” Markson said.

  “Got it” he activated a full armor that stretched out to protect the entire team.

  “Now Bain your turn” Tempest called to Bain.

  “No need to say” Bain agreed using his water powers to immobilize most of the soldiers.

  “Good work Bain, Lysie let’s keep moving” Tempest complimented him.

  Just inside the base, Commander Alderson was walking and heard some explosions. A soldier ran towards him. “Sir, the base has been attacked by the same targets we were looking before”

  “Well they want a battle; I’ll give them a battle” The commander grinned and proceeded to open a door which concealed a weapon. “Time to use the baby”.

  Sensei Aiden heard the explosions as well. “Oh no… they are here, and I told them to leave” he shook his head sadly.

  While Linex was fighting, he got punched hard in the face and he flew and landed where Markson was. “Hey Markson and Linex, leave this to us, we can take them… so go now and save Aiden quickly” Joe shouted at them.

  “Got it and be alright Joe. Let’s go Linex” Markson instructed.

  “Quickly go!” Joe called again, still fighting off members of The Ghost of Nazareth.

  Markson and Linex entered the base. Tempest was taking out the soldiers until two more hunters came into the area. “Who are you supposed to be?” she asked rather unimpressed.

  “I’m Tank from The Ghost of Nazareth, ordered to vaporize you off from existence” the hunter said.

  “And I am Agron” the second hunter added.

  “Well then… a challenge” Tempest chuckled.

  Bain however, tried paralyzing Tank, but it was useless against him. “My power is doing nothing” he said in dismay.

  “This is going to be fun. Bain take care of the soldiers” Tempest instructed.

  “Understood” Bain agreed and faced more incoming soldiers.

  “Lysie, Stephen and I will take care of these hunters”

  “well are you ready?” Tempest said.

  “Got your back!” they chorused back.

  Joe and Kenry were having problems against Brook and Wrath because they were using long range attacks.

  “Kenry what do you think we can do?” Joe asked.

  “I don’t know they are using long range attacks and we can’t get into them, which this is going to be problem” Kenry noted thoughtfully.

  “Oh wait! I have long range attacks too!” Joe said excitedly, activating his beam blast.

  “Ok I distract, and you get the chance”

  Kenry said and proceeded to distracting the enemy getting closer to him but the closer he got, the more damaged he was by the attacks. Joe was however getting a perfect shot to take down tank’s range attacks but then Brook got in the way and attacked Joe.

  “Surprise" Brook smirked.

  “What!” Joe gaped at him in surprise. Then he got kicked in the stomach and pushed away destroying a vehicle.

  “Shoot, then I’m the only one who can battle this one” Kenry shook his head, he saw vehicles around the base, and he had a plan. “I got it! But first I must make him go away from the area, so I can have a good range as well” he thought to himself as he made his move.

  Joe jumped from the vehicle and duster himself. “Is that all you got? I though your strength was greater…” he asked.

  “You are cockier than what I would have expected” Brook said.

  “That’s none of your business, and you will lose too” Joe replied, charging up his robotic arms.

  “Hunters never lose”

  “Remember that hunters always are the last hunted” Joe replied and jumped at him.

  Brook did a few combos on him and threw him to the air and kick him to the ground, Joe was bit weakened by the blows, but he stood up again.

  “Still standing? For a cocky person like you, it’s really interesting… I wish you would join us, but the answer is obviously no” Brook muttered mockingly.

  “Shut up!” Joe headed towards Brook and they started clashing, dodging and getting hard hits while fighting.

  Kenry was still having problem with Tank. He was getting pushed back by Tank but then Kenry realized that Tank was surrounded by military vehicles and he had an idea.

  “Hey Tank… I got a present for all the blasts you gave me” Kenry grinned.

  “Oh really? Show me” Tank replied, he was smiling but very much at alert.

  Kenry picked up a vehicle and threw it at Tank but he dodges it. “You think that is going to do something to me” he smirked and proceeded to fire more blasts at Kenry.

  “Actually that was not going to do anything, but this can” Kenry said as he landed fast and grabbed Tank.

  He took Tank to the ground to get an advantage on attacking him.

  “Urgh, what are you doing?” Tank groaned in pain.

  “I’m fighting, not cuddling you” Kenry said pummeling him several times, before picking him up and smashing him to the ground.

  “Cheap metal junk” Kenry laughed.

  “Who you are calling cheap!?” Tank cried grabbing Kenry by the neck and stands up strangling Kenry in the air.

  Seeing this, Joe screamed. “KENRY!” but Brook attacked him again.

  “You shouldn’t have come just for a simple old person” Tank said still strangling Kenry.

  “… you… think… you can… stop… me?” Kenry managed to croak.

  “Silence you weakling” Tank said choking him harder.

  “NO!” Joe charged his power in his right hand and punched with full strength at Brook making the latter fly and crash in a huge truck.

  Joe ran to Kenry, while Tank realizing that Brook was seriously injured, he released Kenry and headed hastily towards where Brook had landed.

  “Are you alright Kenry? Please stand up it’s not over yet” Joe urged, trying to help him up.

  He only groaned in pain.

  "Please Kenry… pull it together” Joe said helping him to his feet.

  “Joe this time let’s fight together” Kenry said gearing up.

  “Right!” Kenry replied. “I was selfish in the first moment I fight, I thought I would take them easily, but I can’t… so I’ve finally made a decision, I’ve always fought opponents alone but now fighting by your side is necessary”.

  “Sure I don’t have a problem, let’s take them out” Joe bumped fists with him.

  “Agreed” Kenry replied.

  Tank stared at Kenry and Joe while Brook got out of the wrecked truck and stood beside Tank.

  “I don’t get it… what is the use of saving an alien? He is dangerous, if he had not arrived to this planet things would not go this way” Brook said quite angry. Tank only remained silent as they regarded the enemy.

  “Life can lead to so much things that we don’t know the causes of all process of our problems… but all I know is that whatever life is doing, is for a good reason and if it wanted to be this way, then the reason to save this person is important for the future and that is why we Blood Borne Hood are here” Kenry said to them.

  “Really? I thought that it was because of the trouble you gave us” Joe muttered almost in shock.

  “Yes we are paying our debt of the damage we made, but we fight for what is right as well… I don’t know if that person is an alien, all I could say is that he deserves to live too” Kenry replied.

  Tank and Brook laughed.

  “Such nonsense you say, we do this for the good of humanity, if you don’t want to help us then with them, you all die” Brook declared.

  Both teams charged at each other, the battle still continued.

  CHAPTER 20

  STAND UP AND FIGHT!

  Linex and Markson were deep inside the base. Past the numerous prison cells, the armory and artillery rooms, the surveillance hubs and finall
y the basement floor. This led to a bunker.

  Linex was quite sure that they would find Aiden there and while Markson was looking around he found a door that had a sign with the words: RESTRICTED AREA, DO NOT ENTER.

  Markson’s curiosity was quite aroused. He peered at the sign in wonder, enraptured in those inscribed words.

  “Linex wait a sec!” Markson called.

  “What is it?” Linex asked hurrying back towards him.

  “I need to get in here” Markson announced. He proceeded to connect to the door's lock system; trying very hard to hack and unlock the code.

  Linex was starting to feel rather anxious, and perhaps just a little desperate to find Aiden. “Markson what the heck! We have to move quick!”

  “Wait, it will be quick” Markson hissed sharply at him, still fixated on the task of unlocking the door.

  "Oh forget it I’ll go by myself!” Linex blurted out; taking off.

  “Linex wait!" Markson called after him, the door’s lock was almost trying to give way. "It seems it won’t be taken down easily” he added still scanning rapid codes into the lock system.

  Sensei Aiden was still being held captive in his prison box, he looked ahead to find Commander Alderson still waiting for Team Magna at the entrance of the laboratory.

  “I can’t believe they are rescuing me… why… I told them to go and leave me behind, but they didn’t listen to me…” Aiden muttered to himself quite disappointed. He chided Linex silently for not trusting him.

  “It’s like they say… the student has always been a pain, even when they don’t behave… just like yours” Commander Alderson chipped in.

  “This is none of your business, so don’t blame him… he is just a kid” Sensei Aiden replied.

  The commander only twisted his face in disgust. “He is no kid… he is a dangerous freak”.

  “Be quiet!” Aiden shouted, his fire aura blazing forth.

  Commander Alderson smiled grimly. “Right here and now you will see your student get squashed by me and you can’t do nothing, and you know why? Because you are just nothing, and we don’t accept inferior species”

  “I was trying to defend the city because this is my new home, and this is what you humans repay me?” Sensei Aiden asked angrily.
