Alex’s padres sit down to wait. They’re exhausted. The hours pass slowly and the familia come to check in on Alex’s condition.

  Chapter Thirty-Five

Christian returns to the base to train. Monique returns to work. Alex is recovering from his injuries. The week flies by.

“Si, Baby, I love you,” says Monique with tears. I don’t want him to know that I’m scared for him. When he’s at the base I’m in fear that he will be sent out on a mission, thinks Monique.

“My Cielo, you’re okay?” asks Christian, feeling that she’s not telling him something. “You are feeling well? I’m sorry I’m not on leave this weekend.”

“Si, baby, I know that you can’t control your leaves. Promise me that you will be careful,” says Monique, with an ache in her corazon. I don’t know why I feel this fear for my Baby, ponders Monique.

“Si, I promise. My Cielo, I don’t want you to worry. We are at the base. I always dream of you. Te amo mucho,” says Christian. “I have to go. Don’t worry.”

“Si, Baby, te amo,” replies Monique, looking at their wedding picture. She sits on the bed for a while, gazing at the photo. She cries a stream of tears that fall down her lovely face.

What a mess we have with the Cartel and Lopez. The government agency doesn’t want to give us any information on Lopez or the Cartel and this sucks, thinks Jose Enrique, taking another bite of his flauta.

“You know that I think that Alex and Tony will not be able to make it to the club tonight,” says Jose Enrique. “They were extremely lucky that they were not killed.”

“I agree that they were real lucky. Dios was taking care of them,” says Carlos.

“Si, hermano, and now we have to pray that Claudia is found alive,” replies Paty, not wanting to think of the condition and state that she could be in.

“I don’t know why the government agency can’t tell us more. It has made la familia real worried with the unknown status,” says Jessy. “Veronica has not been in to work and I wonder if it has anything to do with Claudia.”

“My Amor, we have to remain positive and pray that mis primas, las bebe’s are okay. I have faith that the government’s professional agencies will bring our prima back alive and well,” says Jose Enrique, looking at Carlos and Paty nod in agreement.

“My Vida, I know that we need to have faith, but the cartel is ruthless and it scares me to think of what can be happening to Claudia,” says Jessy with fear in her eyes. “We don’t know what else the cartel can do to la familia to force us to associate.”

“Jessy, the government agencies are doing all they can to stop the cartel from forcing la familia to associate,” says Carlos. “Is it not correct, Jose Enrique?”

“Si, Carlos, the government is trying to stop and capture the cartel that is threatening la familia,” says Jose Enrique, nodding. “But I don’t know if it is the same cartel that has Claudia. She’s a FBI agent. I don’t know if she was working on entrapping another cartel drug lord,” He shrugs, taking a drink of his Corona.

“Yeah, she could never talk about her missions,” says Paty, nodding. “We need to pray for my prima that she will be safe and returns to us soon.”

They continue with their dinner, talking about the situation. “Okay, it’s time to leave,” says Jose Enrique, taking Jessy by the hand. “We will see you at the club.” They walk out, leaving their tab on the table.

“Si, we will see you at the club,” replies Carlos, taking Paty’s mano.

The primos arrive at the club to enjoy an evening, one couple after another. Gregory and Bella were the last couple to arrive.

Bella looks lovely in a green dress that enhances her amazing green eyes making them appear to glow. The dress has a slit on the side, exposing her beautiful toned leg.

“Hola,” says Bella, smiling at the primos. They take a sit at their favorite table. The hombres go to get some cervezas.

“Well, this is different. We always were here as a big group and now it is only us couples this evening,” says Bella, turning to look at Greg as he sits next to her, pulling her closer, giving her a beso.

“Do you want something to drink, Baby,” asks Greg, starting to get up to get his Corona.

“Si, my Vida, I want some water,” says Bella. She turns to look at her prima.

“Do you want anything?” asks Greg, looking at Jose Enrique and Carlos. He sees them shake their heads no.

“No, I’m good,” replies Carlos, looking at Paty to see if she wants anything.

“No, thanks,” says Jose Enrique, pulling Jessy closer to whisper. “My Amor, I love you and I cannot wait to love you. It’s not fair that I have to wait to marry.”

“Si, my Vida, I know,” replies Jessy, smiling and looking at her amigas. “My Vida, we probably would have had the same issues as Jacki and Ricky did. Eloping wouldn’t have helped.”

“I can always dream,” says Jose Enrique, thinking just my luck, looking at the other two couples.

“Let’s dance,” says Carlos, pulling Paty up to go to the dance floor. He quickly pulls her into his arms, whispering how much he loves her, wrapping his arms around her small waist.

“I think that Carlos and Paty have the right idea,” says Jose Enrique, standing up. He helps Jessy to stand, taking her hand. They go to the dance floor and sigh in relief.

“Baby, do you want to dance?” asks Greg, leaning in to kiss her.

“Si, my Vida, I do want to dance a few songs with you,” says Bella, looking at Greg nod.

“Si, let’s dance,” says Greg, taking Bella’s hand, and walk to the dance floor to dance to the romantic Spanish love song.

After a few songs, Bella wants to leave. “I think that we need to get back to la casa,” says Bella, pulling him closer. “But I need to go to el bano.”

“Okay, Baby,” says Greg with relief.

“Paty, Jessy I’m going to el bano. Do you want to go?” asks Bella, looking at them.

“Si, prima,” replies Paty standing. She gives Carlos a beso. “I will be right back.”

“Si, I will go with you two,” says Jessy, standing, giving Jose Enrique a beso. “Just a few more minutes,” she whispers before leaving.

  Chapter Thirty-Six

The mujeres go to el bano, going through the crowd to get there. All of a sudden the club is full and a lot of chicas are heading to el bano.

Good thing it has a beautiful dressing room to fix your makeup and hair. The room has two huge French doors that lead to the back of the club. There is a nice size garden for couples to talk. The French doors are open and the rose scented air blows into the room refreshing and cooling the area.

The dressing room is beautifully decorated in feminine soft pastel pink walls. There are gilded wall mirrors against one long wall that has an ivory color faux marble counter. There are plenty of matching gilded chairs with the cushions upholstered in soft pink pastel velvet. All the chicas love to sit and fix their hair and reapply their lipstick.

The fresh air blows in with the scent of the roses and other flowers that are blooming. It’s a beautiful night that looks like deep navy velvet with sparking diamonds and a crescent moon.

el bano has two different entrances. The room has one entrance from the outside of the garden and another entrance from inside of the club.

This club is very popular because of its attractive and comfortable atmosphere. It is a great place to dance, meet people, and enjoy your free time.

The hombres are comfortable, relaxing, and enjoy the night. They don’t feel any type of concern with their mujeres going to the bano and taking a little longer.

Sometimes there is a line and they know that las mujeres sometimes take their time, talking.

“I think I need another Corona,” says Greg, getting up to get one. “Do you want one?” He asks Jose Enrique and Carlos.

“Si, because I think it is going to take a few for las mujers to return,” says Jose Enrique, grinning. “I sometimes won
der what they do in there.”

“Si, I do too. It is one of those wonders that we never get to find out,” says Carlos, shaking his head. “Si, Greg, I need another Corona.”

Greg goes to get their Coronas and returns. He sets down the Coronas in front of Jose Enrique and Carlos.

“Carlos, Bella and I want to know if it will be okay to have a double boda with you and Paty,” asks Greg, knowing it will not be a problema.

“Si, amigo, I don’t think it will be a problema, but we still need to ask Paty,” replies Carlos, nodding.

“Yeah, that will be great. It worked out well for Erica and Ricky,” says Jose Enrique. “I wish I was already married.” He takes another drink of his Corona.

“Si, amigo, I know what you mean. It’s awesome waking up with your amor in your arms,” says Gregory, looking over at Carlos.

“It really is a lot more enjoyable when all los primos are here,” says Carlos, looking around. “The club appears to be full and busy tonight.”

“Si, I agree Carlos. The club is a little busier than usual,” says Jose Enrique, looking for Jessy.

Hmm, I wonder if it has been too long or it is just me getting anxious, thinks Jose Enrique, taking another drink of his Corona.

Paty applies her lipstick. The little room is getting full and Bella starts to fix her long pelo and lipstick. “Prima, it’s getting really full in the club tonight and I’m getting real dizzy. I’m stepping out to get some fresh air,” says Bella.

“Si, prima, I will wait for Jessy and go get you when we’re ready,” replies Paty, standing by the French doors to get some fresh air while waiting for Jessy.

Finally, Jessy enters the room and starts to fix her hair and applies lipstick. “I’m almost ready,” says Jessy, fixing her dress. “Where is Bella?”

“Bella wanted some fresh air and walked out to the garden. I told her that we will get her when we were done,” says Paty, walking out into the garden from the French doors. Jessy follows close.

“Yeah, this is wonderful,” says Jessy, following Paty. “It smells lovely. I have never been in the garden before. No wonder Jacki and Ricky feel in love out here under the stars.”

“Si, Jessy, it’s real nice. I have not been out in the garden before,” replies Paty, turning the corner to see if she could see Bella. “Bella,” calls out Paty. She looks at the benches that are under the trees.

Jessy is right behind her, looking for Bella, turns to look the other way to see if she could see her.

Paty and Jessy didn’t feel a thing. They were knocked out fast and efficiently. They never knew what happened.

Two large hombres dressed all in black and wearing black ski masks struck them over the head. They quickly picked Jessy and Paty up. They handled them like rag dolls that weighed no more than ten pounds. They moved quickly and quietly because they know that in a few more minutes their hombres will be looking for them.

The two large hombres didn’t say a word and nobody noticed them. They enter into the waiting black SUV that quickly transports them to a building located in the down town area a few miles away from the night club.

The driver exits the SUV and quickly gathers Bella in his arms. The other two hombres take Paty and Jessy. They enter the thirty floor building.

They’re anxious to get to the roof top where the helicopter is waiting. Moving quickly and quietly they enter the elevator to reach the roof top. They cover the camera in the elevator with some black spray paint.

Finally, after a few minutes, the three hombres reached the roof top, and exit the elevator.

The helicopter is ready to leave and waiting for los hombres to carry Bella, Paty, and Jessy onto the helicopter.

The mujers are still out. They don’t realize that they’re being taken out of the country and out of their hombre’s arms.

One of the hombres pulls out his cell phone and quickly calls his commander. “Mextli, we have the cargo,” says Jamie el Mextli’s right hand hombre.

“Bien,” says El Mextli, ending the call, resting. He leans into his sofa grinning. He takes a drink of his tequila. This has worked out magnificently. Now I have la familia De La Cruz en mis manos, thinks El Mextli, with glee.

Jamie makes another call to one of his hombres who’s waiting in the club. “Prieto, deliver the package,” says Jamie, looking at his watch. Yeah, everything is working out on schedule.

“Hecho (done),” says Prieto, walking to the waiter to have the message delivered.

Jamie turns around to look at the tres hermosa mujers. I know that their hombres are going to be ready to kill, thinks Jamie, looking at each one with care. Si, they are immensely hermosas and I want to get them locked up before these guey’s abuse them.

Jamie turns to look at each guey and warns them about touching the cargo. I just can’t stomach to have a mujer abused and much less these mujeres that are truly queens, thinks Jamie. We should be there in a few more minutes and I pray that El Mextli will not want to abuse them. I know that he just started his dominance over the Baja California and wants to demonstrate how vicious and ruthless he is.

The other Cartel that is located in Central of Mexico has the other prima. She is actually a FBI agent and that’s incredible that they managed to take her.

The United States government agencies are on high alert. I can imagine this getting even worse when the shit hits the fan esta noche. When the De La Cruz familia realize that we have taken three more of their mujers.

  Chapter Thirty-Seven

Gregory stands to look over in the direction of the bano, wondering what’s taking them so long. He turns to look at Jose Enrique and Carlos with raised eyebrows. “It’s taken a little too long for me,” says Gregory, staring at them. He waits for their response.

“Si, I was thinking the same,” replies Jose Enrique, taking a drink of his Corona, standing along with Carlos.

“I don’t like this,” says Carlos, starting to feel an ache in his corazon. He strides quickly in the direction of the bano. I wonder if I’m over reacting. Las mujeres almost always take some sweet time in the bano, thinks Carlos rapidly. He starts to feel anxious.

“Shit!” says Carlos. I need to find Paty now, before I have a heart attack with this immense fear that’s taking over my body, thinks Carlos, almost running.

“Wait up!” yells Gregory, following close on Carlos heels. This is not good. I can feel that something is happening to my Bella, thinks Gregory. His corazon starts to beat faster and harder, feeling as if it’s going to burst out of his chest.

“Guey, I’m not feeling well,” says Jose Enrique, when he arrives right behind Carlos and Gregory, trying to control his breathing.

Hmm, I feel my corazon aching, as if a fist is squeezing it real tight. I can’t breathe, thinks Jose Enrique, leaning forward trying to relax.

“I’ll get a chica to go in and look for them,” says Carlos, approaching a chica that’s sitting near the bano.

“Excuse me, can you please go into the bano and ask for my esposa,” asks Carlos, smiling, trying to look nice.

La chica looks at Carlos and smiles nodding her head. “Si, I can, what is your esposa’s name?” she asks, standing.

“Paty, and muchas gracias,” says Carlos with relief, giving the chica some money for her effort.

“No, es nada (it’s nothing),” says the chica, smiling. She doesn’t want to take the money. “I’ll be back,” she goes into the bano.

She asks the two mujers that were there if they were Paty. They said no and the other area was empty. The chica walks back out and informs Carlos. “Sorry there was only two mujeres in the bano.”

Carlos’ corazon starts to pound harder, making it hard to breathe. He thanks the chica. “Gracias,” he turns to go and tell Jose Enrique and Greg.

“No, they were not in el bano,” says Carlos, taking deep breaths. “We need to get security to assist us in searching for them in the club.”

“Si,” agrees Greg, starting to turn to locate
where the security is.

A waiter approaches Jose Enrique with a Corona and a note. “Señor De La Cruz?” asks the waiter, waiting for a response from Jose Enrique.

Jose Enrique looks at the waiter and the Corona. What in the hell is this. “Si, soy De La Cruz,” replies Jose Enrique, waiting for the waiter to enlighten him.

“Si, this Corona was sent over by the caballero at the bar with this note,” says the waiter, turning to indicate which hombre sent the Corona and note.

The waiter couldn’t see the caballero. He turns to Jose Enrique with a small unsure smile. “The Caballero is not there anymore,” he hands over the tray to Jose Enrique.

Jose Enrique looks at the bar and could not see any caballero. He starts to get really anxious. He looks at Gregory and Carlos, who are indicating to take the note.

“Jose Enrique, read the damn note!” says Carlos, with frustration and anxiety.

Gregory is scared and anxious. He knows that something awful has happened to his Baby. He quickly starts to ask the waiter questions on what the guey looks like.

“Tell us how this guey looks like,” demands Greg, with controlled fury.

The waiter is getting scared by how menacing they look. “He was tall, dark and looked mean,” replies the waiter, starting to back away from them.

“Did you ever see him in the club before?” asks Greg, watching the waiter real close. “How long have you worked here?”

“Si, I have worked here for over dos anos and no, I never seen that hombre before,” answers the waiter, starting to get pale.

Este hombre looks ready to kill me and I don’t know what’s going on, thinks the waiter. “Señor, the hombre asked me to bring Señor De La Cruz the Corona and nota.”

Gregory can see that the waiter is starting to get scared. It’s very likely that he didn’t know or has ever seen the guey, thinks Gregory. “I need you to provide us your full name and number,” demands Greg in an authoritative voice. Gregory wants to have the Intel in case they need to talk to him again.
