Foul Play

That was it, I growled and lunged at him. Jon skillfully side-stepped my attack making me land on the floor. I got up ready to attack again but someone held my waist from behind, carrying me off the ground.

"Woah, slow down cowgirl." I heard Luke's voice behind me. I flailed my arms and legs in the air trying to break free.

"I. Hate. Him." I said in a low voice, gritting my teeth. He just stood in front of me smirking.

"I'm fine, you can drop me now." I said, faking a calm tone. "What did you do to her?" I heard Luke asking him as I removed the strip of cloth from my knuckles, massaging them.

"Don't you have something to do?" Jon asked him dismissively. "Right, I'll be leaving." he said with a smile, exiting the training room without even sparing a side glance at me.

"I'm giving you five minutes to get your shit together." Jon said, also getting out.

This guy was just testing me, I shouldn't give in so easily. I repeated in my head, convincing myself to stay strong. I tightened the loose bun on top of my head and pulled my leggings up my stomach trying to cover most of the skin that the sports bra didn't.

Few minutes passed and Jon stepped inside the training room again. "Wait, are we done training?" I asked, noticing that he had changed into a fresher and more casual look.

I swear, I think when you open his closet all you will see is black.

"No, I'm done. I'm going to monitor you finish yours" I sighed. Groaning, I stood up to continue with my training with him beside me giving instructions.

After another pain and agony filled thirty minutes we finished.

"Go and freshen up, I'll be waiting in the common room to take you home." Jon said.

I quickly went to shower, changing into a denim skirt and long sleeve cheetah print body suit. Pairing my outfit with some converse, I stepped out to look for Jon. I found him in the common room talking to a girl with blonde shiny hair.

I walked slowly, approaching the duo. When Jon noticed me coming, he stopped talking and started staring at me causing the lady in front of him to turn around.

"Woah. Mikaelson you didn't tell me she was this hot." She said, looking at me.

"Hey, I'm Agent Roberts. I act a little psycho sometimes but to fit in here as a woman you will have to go insane eventually." She smiled genuinely, extending a hand. I shook her hand politely liking her already.

"I don't have time for chit-chat, let's go." He motioned to me and left the room.

"Don't worry, I'll see you later. Jon is a sick, twisted person but try to stay on his nice list and you're fine." Agent Roberts said.

"Duly noted." I replied with a smile, running outside to look for Jon.

I spotted him beside a sleek black car before he got in. I opened the front door, taking a seat.

He gave me this weird look before muttering. "You can't sit there."

"What? Where should I sit then?"

"The back is pretty cozy if you ask me." He said, starting the engine.

"Wait, are you serious?" He just looked at me with his grey eyes and I knew he wasn't playing around so I just got down and moved to the back seat.

He drove the car from the parking area speeding out. This guy needed to be sent to the driving school again to learn about speed limits. We drove for several minutes and stopped at a traffic light.

  He turned towards me.

"Have you noticed anything strange since you started staying with your friend?" He said, switching my mind to the day Elsa saw me after my father's death. I hated it. Everyone around me was treating me with this sort of pity I didn't need, even Elsa.

After that, I've also been lying to Elsa and her mom that I'm seeing a therapist so Jon can go and train me at the HQ. I smiled bitterly at what my life had turned to after my dad's death.

"No, nothing strange has happened. Is it supposed to?"

"Well yes, the one that ordered me to kill your father is probably going to send his men to come after you and-" He said casually before I cut him off.

  "Wait, what the fuck!"

He grinned, realizing I cussed around him for the first time. I was an English teacher at a kid’s shelter and always tried to be in my good graces because I was around kids. Keeping a foul mouth would not help. Now, I didn't care about what I said, if it only involved Jon.

"I thought the plan I agreed to was being in your revenge scheme against whoever the enemy was and trying not to get killed."

"Yes, the other reason why I asked if you were seeing anything weird was that men are assigned to watch your house."

"What? So I have a bunch of assassins watching me too? This is great, just great." I said. He resumed driving once the green light flickered on.

Approximately fifteen minutes later, we pulled up in front of Elsa's house.

"Stay put and everything will turn out right." Jon assured before I got out of his car, entering the house.

"Who was that Angel?" Elsa asked upon my arrival.

I spotted her near the kitchen island whisking something in a large bowl.

"Um, that was one of my dad's old friends. He saw me walking here and wanted to give me a lift." I replied trying to convince her. She seemed to take it because she nodded and kept on mixing what she had in the bowl.

I dropped the duffel bag with my things on a couch and walked to her.

"What are you preparing by the way?"

"Oh, a carrot cake." She said, making me clap my hands in delight. "How was your therapy session?" Elsa questioned, reaching for a pack of raisins from the kitchen shelf.

"Very rough." I replied, Jon's face appearing in mind.

"It'll get better Angel, trust me." Elsa said, patting my shoulder.

She was about to pour the pack of raisins into the cake batter when I shouted.

"No, don't add raisins, you know I hate it." I complained. She looked at my face for a few seconds and smiled mischievously, tilting the pack of raisins slowly to pour it inside the cake batter.

Well, I didn't let her get that chance and grabbed the box of raisins, dunking it in the nearby bin.

"You're going to regret it silly girl, that was the last pack!"

She dipped her fingers in the cake batter and dashed towards me.

"No!" I screamed running away. I was not lucky and tripped, landing hard on my butt.

Elsa immediately spread the cake batter all over my hair and body. My eyes narrowed to slits as I stared at her.

"Who wants a hug?" I asked, standing up to chase her in the living room.

  "Girls!"

Elsa's mom shouted, looking at us in disbelief.

  "We're fucked now." I muttered.

  Angelina

  Blackhearts HQ,

"You're early today." Luke welcomed as I dropped my duffel bag in the training room.

"For once." He added, causing me to swallow the 'thank you' he was about to receive.

He went back to lifting weights and I went to change into the usual high waist leggings and sports bra, matching it with some white sneakers.

"Where is Jon?" I asked when I emerged from the changing room.

"I've not seen him all day. He's probably in his suite."

"So should I wait for him?"

"Nah, you never know what he might up to so go and check up on him. His suite number is 112A, west wing. Now leave me alone."

I shook my head at his rudeness and left to look for Jon. Upon reaching his door, I knocked on it politely. I frowned realizing there was no reply.

I waited for a few more seconds and knocked more loudly. A groan came from the other side.

"Luke, not now." I heard his faint voice outside the door.

"It's me Jon, can I come in?" I asked. Silence ensued after the question.

I waited for a few minutes but he didn't reply or even open the door for me. The nerve of this guy! I pushed the door open and stepped inside. His suite had a minimal style which matched his basic cream walls and pretty much no decor.

  Bunch
of photos was spread across his bed along with his classic twin guns. Curiosity got the best of me causing me to pick up the pictures. They were of a woman with a small baby. There was something familiar about the people in the picture. Was that Jon and his mom? What happened to her?

"What are you doing in here?" He said, coming out from his closet with nothing but dark cargo pants on.

He snatched the pictures from me and shoved them in a drawer near the bed.

  "Leave." He said.

I stood rooted in the same spot staring at his broad chest and heavenly sculpted abs.

"I'm not a nice guy, don't tempt me to drag you out."

I had to figure out a way to stay, I didn't want to leave, not just yet. This place was giving me more details into his personal life. "Jon," I started, trying to come up with an excuse.

"No shit Angel, I said leave!" He shouted, running a hand through his already disheveled hair.

I smiled. He used my name for the first time, we were getting somewhere then. Feeling a surge of confidence, I teasingly strutted to his bed and sat comfortably on it.

"Make me darling." I whispered. I don't what the heck was coming over me but I guess this guy just revealed traits I didn't think I had.

He stared at me with predator eyes causing my body to tremble inside.

"You know what, I don't mind a girl on my bed." He said, walking towards me. "Not all men have the privilege of getting girls to pleasure them in the morning"

"P-pleasure you? You're going crazy." I pushed on the mattress trying to move back as he continued to slowly pursue me.

"Come here." He growled, taking a hold of my leg and trying to get me off his bed. I expertly tripped him with my other leg causing him to collapse on me. The training has been really rubbing off on me.

The world seems to move in slow motion as I stared in his grey orbs which now had these tiny black specs in them up close. I know I've said this before but he was too handsome for his own good.

He groaned, trying to lift himself off me but I snaked my hands around his neck to stop him.

"What are you do-" He stopped talking as soon as my lips touched his pink ones.

Electricity coursed through my whole body giving me that warm fuzzy feeling. He remained still for a few seconds before taking control of the kiss.

I didn't think he would kiss me back, I guess all men were infected with lust.

He deepened the kiss, pulling me close. If I said I liked the kiss it would be a lie, I loved it. He was a very good kisser and probably a good lover too.

Jon broke the kiss and started littering his kisses all over my body. He was about to pull my sports bra over my head when Luke burst in.

"Jon what the fuck are you doing?" He said angrily and dashed over to the bed, grabbing my elbow to pull me away from him.

"What I do is none of your business."

"Not every girl is a trash bag you can fuck and easily dispose of, know your limits." Luke replied.

  I stood there awkwardly.

"Leave me alone, both of you." Jon said and entered the bathroom. His large, muscled back showcased a huge tattoo of a cobra which was pretty frightening if you ask me.

Luke exited Jon's room causing me to chase him.

"Luke!" I yelled, jogging after him. He slowed down and turned to face me with a serious look.

"I never pinned you to be that girl to sleep around, especially with your dad's killer." He said.

"What are you t-trying to say?" I asked, starting to tear up at the mention of my dad.

"I'm saying that whatever sick twisted thing you have planned in your head for him won't work. If you try to physically hurt Jon in any way, I won't fail to let you join your dad."

I looked at him with a dead expression.

"Or if you think that fucking him will make you gain some sort of love and attention then you can be added to the waiting list with all the other thousands of women."

"It-it just happened, I'm sorry." I said, wiping my face dry.

  "Leave." He said.

  "What?"

"I said leave, there's not going to be any training today. I will let someone drive you home."

Minutes later, I was in a black van on my way home. I reached the house in about thirty minutes and stepped out of the car not bothering to even say anything to the driver.

I spotted Elsa talking to a cop in the living room when I arrived. What the fuck could this man possibly want? I decided to sneakily take the stairs that led to my room so that I could avoid both of them.

"Wait, Angel?" Elsa said, noticing me trying to take the stairs. What excuse should I come up with now?

"Um, yes. I thought you had a guest so I didn't want to disturb both of you."

"Silly girl, he came to look for you so he's your guest now." She said, causing the policeman to turn and look at me. He was young with dark blonde hair and a slightly freckled face.

"Hello Ms. Kostava, I'm Inspector Rueger and I wanted to have a small chat with you."

"Oh okay, sure." I muttered. "I'll be in the kitchen." Elsa said, leaving the two of us alone.

"How have you been feeling lately?" He asked when we settled on the couch. I wondered if that was part of his questions but I answered it anyway.

"Rough, but I think it'll be okay, right?"

"Yes, have faith, we'll get the person who killed your father in custody."

I grinned sarcastically. They couldn't take Jon even if I handed him over to the police in handcuffs.

"Ok, I hope so." I replied.

"We just discovered that your mom ran away the same day your dad died." That didn't shock me, I assume she took most of her priceless jewelry with her.

  "Ms. Kostava—"

  "Angel, call me Angel."

"Okay Angel, It's totally normal. Many people who feel like their lives were being threatened in anyway would have done the same." I just nodded, not bothering to interact with him.

"Would you like to share what happened the day that your dad's murderer kidnapped you?"

"It was scary but I'm still alive right, isn't that what matters?" He took the hint that I didn't want to talk about it so moved on to the next question.

"Okay, can you describe the killer's face? Did you see him without the mask or take any note of any key feature he has?"

Jon's face immediately appeared in my head. Jet black hair, grey eyes, soft pink lips, perfectly chiseled body, oh and that large tattoo of a cobra on his-

"Ms. Kostava." He said, dragging me back to reality.

"No, I didn't see his face without a mask. Can we do this some other time Inspector?" I replied, getting up to leave.
