Brook's face had slipped into turmoil. Staring face to face with the woman who’s had a hand in a long chain of events with Black, even before she joined the Bloodlust Revelation.

"I had been waiting for the longest time to severe your limbs. After what you've done to Diamond. That's one thing that I will never forgive you for," Brook snarled, releasing her broad sword with nothing but the effects of a ice chiseling through the weapon. Her arms and hands had been engulfed by the enchanting blue armor of snow that's embedded within her body.

"It's an honor and privilege to be meeting you for the first time in five years, Brook. It sure goes to show that you are persistent in avenging your Aunt Diamond for her death, huh? Tell me one thing before we get down to business," Marscilla unsheathed her blade with a ghoulish sound of insanity erupting from within. "How would you like your death to be? Shall I behead you? Penetrate your heart?"

Chapter 41 - Last Will Of Complexity

  ***

Moving onward toward the pathway to Leserado, the entirety of Shizuka's army were on the move and led by Lola Mizuka, whose managed to regain her consciousness. Her fellow General's having her hands full with the aspects of dealing with Black's associates, Lisa Amili and Thorn Poison.

In the meantime, Brook's dealing with an old nemesis who attended the first Leserado War fifteen years earlier,, Marscilla Erisa.

The two had stood still, waiting for one or the other to make the first move. It wasn't going to be as simplistic to anticipate her movements like before, but Brook was prepared for the inevitable that she's in a death battle right now.

"The one thing that I will give you is something that you'll never forget. You got that, bitch?" Brook's voice grew, wanting to detonate. It was a rather difficult choice for her to grieve over the death of her aunt or keep it going and defend her legacy and honor as former Core General.

"I'll make this quick and painful for you. Besides, I've wanted to get my hands on you for the longest time, my dear. So, I take it that Crystal's your cousin then, huh?" Marscilla understood the link between Diamond's daughter and niece. "You have to understand there are so much we've done to that lady in the last month that there's no way you can comprehend the darkness that's devoured that young lady's soul."

Laughing horrendously with no sense of morals, Marscilla had awaited a comeback from her enemy.

Brook, speechless as a shy child, didn't care much about what they're trying to accomplish, but what they've done to a fifteen year-old child who never asked for any of the shit that's happened in her life up until now.

"Your mother is going to wish she kept her legs closed. That goes for you sorry pieces of shit with a diabolical reputation," Brook had disappointment flowing through her voice.

"Then I guess there's nothing that you can do about it but make us apologize, utterly pointless if you ask me. So why not just get it over with?" Marscilla questioned the Southern General.

"Why don't I just let my actions explain why I don't forgive scumbags like you," Brook stormed the battlefield with her eyes glowing with complete blueness overwhelming her eyes.

"Let's begin a bloodline tradition," Marscilla moved into action as well with their weapons colliding with brute force.

Thorn's arms had stretched out as she released her Gurasa Spear against her opponent. The Gurasa Spear is a technique that Thorn can perform by shooting out a holographic image of a purple wolf, but can deliver a massive impact into striking the enemy in their vital, pressure points.

The Gurasa Spear would have made direct contact with Shizuka if she didn't block them with the Zerukin Burning Shield. A huge gap of flames surrounded itself around her body as it twirled around and deflected the blow. However, it wasn't going to last as long as she could muster.

Blistering around the flames that's slowly faded from behind Shizuka, Lisa attempted to use Vadoki Transporter as she, supposedly, struck Shizuka, but it backfired due to another defense. Shizuka released the Fire Manipulation (Thus Flaming Ventriloquist.) In exchange of losing surrendering the flames she used to protect herself Shizuka had to use the remainder of the burning elements from in front and on both sides of her. Moments later, another entity had managed to make way and stop the attack with its' own weapon.

"You-- You clever bitch," Lisa snapped, but didn't have time to complain, as she proceeded in using her Vadoko Transporter once she's direct contact.

The battle instantly escalated once reinforcements had erupted from the behind the duel. More than enough to help out Shizuka survive this broiling showdown.

Unfortunately, due to Shizuka's lack of trusting for times, Shizuka had ordered the warriors and soldiers to go on ahead and aid General Mizuka with their might.

"But General, what about you?" one of the soldiers stated from a few feet away. They had their weapons loaded, but knew that they needed to be spare for the battle at Leserado.

"Don't worry about me. I have something else to take care of. I'll hold them off for you all to escape this ground and move onward," Shizuka commanded, trying her best to protect the group; much as learning her lesson from fifteen years ago. It infuriated her to the core of not doing so well with making leadership decisions. The quality was very low and Shizuka should've realized at the time that neither nor Lola were prepared for a fight that gruesome. "I can finally make up for my mistakes. It's best if you heed my word and get a move on. Go! That's an order!"

It pained them all to leave the Western General. In addition, they all remembered that she had a latter recovery from her fight and defeat at the hands of Charlie Mizuka.

"Please make it to Leserado in one piece, General Siya," a female Sergeant uttered with worry, trying to show off her confidence by praising for Shizuka to stay alive and well.

"It'll be the last thing on my mind during this fight," Shizuka stated as she witnessed Lisa making another movement towards her soldiers, but shielded them all from an incoming assault the succubus was attempting to pull off. One of the flaming puppets from her ability of the Burning Ventriloquiest moved at a blitz speed to stop the blow. "Your fight is with me, Lisa Amili."

Lisa growned immaturely, flaking her arms around in frustration, "Bitch, you're starting to get my panties in a knot..."

"I'm surprised that succubuses wear them," Shizuka cocked her left eye, but didn't bothered to continously play along with the joke. "Let's just get this over with so I can be on my way. Time isn't on either of our sides you know."

"What are you talking about?" Lisa had a puzzled mind, but then noticed that Thorn had slammed her palm into her face. Disappointed by Lisa's idiocy.

"Girl, she's talking about we don't have a lot of time before our powers wear off and we end up being defeated easily by her hands. Remember, she still has the upper hand. Plus her sister, Emunda Siya, could arrive at any given moment," Thorn addressed.

"Oh," Lisa's brainless thoughts came rushing back to her. "Black did say something about that."

(Almost two and half hours ago, Black had informed the girls that Shizuka Siya would be making a move. He then ordered a premature assault against the ship that was on its’ way to the Tomb.)

  ***

Nearly an hour past since the gruesome battle begun. It raged on with a series of soldiers dying left and right from the Akuma Beasts to the Apex Magicians to the Intoxian soldiers of the Western Coast.

Lola had assumed that Black would be making his move by now, but was in more of a rush to reach the Balcony and save Crystal. If she's willing to do so. Behind her were Hiba, Hitachi, Sonya and Alex. Along with some of the warriors of Brook and Tornado's group.

The Core General couldn't help but realize that they had another sixty minutes before they reached the premises of Leserado for the battle. Looking back on failure, some conflict of emotions had came rushing back. It was the same as it was over eighteen years ago. She sooned noticed her son Hitachi was running beside her, but never noticed that he released his sword.r />
She begun to have mental thoughts, debating rather or not she did a great job raising an only child by herself without the support of his father.

I can't believe I'm having an internal struggle with my own son right now, The leader started having perplexing thought patterns flowing through her mind. Suddenly, peering into the young man's eyes, she saw a resemblance of a man in black. Long grey-brown hair and a long, dark blade in hand. Wildly nodding her head, the Core General came back to her senses as she unsheathed her blade as well. She told the others to go on ahead as she paused Hitachi to stay at her side.

"Hitachi," Lola placed her hand on his left shoulder as she glanced him dead in his eyes. "There's something that you must know before we proceed even further."

"Can it wait?" Hitachi asked. "You always told me before I joined the Army is that the mentality should overwhelm the emotions until it's all over."

Lola didn't recall saying thing that, but it was something similar to what she said on the day he graduated.

"I don't think that there's anything wrong with getting this off our chests. I know I've been acting like a bitch towards you and--"

"Mom. This isn't the Lola Mizuka that I know that raised me to becoming a stronger man and letting my feelings coming into play," Hitachi applied with a warm smile.

"You're right. I'll tell you later. I really wanted to try and let it go, but if you insist then that's OK," agreeing to Hitachi's assessment, Lola placed her thoughts aside and continued to pursued the Leserado premises with the others; who aren't that far ahead.

Charlie and Emerald were in pursuit of commanding the Renukokiji Magicians, Holi Canines (creatures that are represented by the Poison Bloodline, also children of the Poison Avarian Beast - Skyfall.)

Both killers’ motives at Black's wisdom had sky-rocketed once they were expected to head down to the entrance of Leserado's gateway and preventing Lola's group from entering the unholy environment.

As pitiless as Charlie is, he'd been waiting for the longest time go head to head with his eldest granddaughter to test her abilities.

"Charlie, you sure have a way of doing things, don't you?" Emerald had been asking a number of questions for the last hour. Despite his curiosity of Charlie's aspiration and movements, he was displeased about the fact that Black had forced the two to form an alliance.

"I've answered enough question from you. You Arubas sure have a way of getting involved with other people's personal lives, huh?" Charlie bellowed, trailing behind the Holi Canines and Renukokiji Magicians down the corridor alley.

"Well, this will be the last one that I ask of you?" Charlie's patients had grew smaller and smaller. Emerald wasn't going to stop asking unless he got an answer from the Mizuka Assassin.

"Fine, then. This is clearly out of character for me to answer to anyone in the long run. But what is it that's on your mind?" Charlie tilted his head to the side with an ominous glare.

"You've seem to know more about the Avarian Beasts than I have expected. What's so special about the Mizuka Phoenix you were talking about?"

Charlie was thrown back with a strong lightning of an intense question he never prepared himself to answer. It's been too long since he's been a host of the Mizuka Phoenix that he wouldn't be able to answer it in adult terms.

"The one thing that I could say is that it's powerful."

Or does it mean that he's lying about the potential of the Mizuka Phoenix, but is putting up a weird persona that doesn't really explain his knowledge of the Mizuka Beast.

"The lying must come to an end at some point, Charlie. You know more about it. I know you do. Otherwise the Mizuka Phoenix and Aruba White-Feathered Bird wouldn't have had a solid connection.

"You're right. You got me. The Mizuka Phoenix is a beast that hasn't been active in the last twenty-five years. Even in the events of Diamond's death, it still never showed up at some point until now. I suddenly felt a strong, boiling urge of aura from my granddaughter. I was watching her from the orb that Black had placed before my eyes a not too long ago. She released a small portion of it’s' power and yet it overwhelmed and almost destroyed her from the inside out. Without her even realizing it, she had thought of post-pone her time as Core General, but managed to become conscious again and continue her assault on rescuing Crystal."

The nerve of his interest had sparked even more. Emerald was bewildered and pleased that he's learning more of his family's rival's ability and what they stand for.

"That's all I need to know," Emerald stayed depended on studying the Mizuka Books. "I will be taking my time to witness the Mizuka Phoenix, since we're going to provoke Lola to release it, am I correct?"

The Mizuka Assassin nodded in agreement.

"Lola Mizuka, the Mizuka Phoenix, her ill-tempered personality, there's so much more that you can expect when it's unexpected," Charlie added while throwing on his armored gloves and unsheathing his claws.

This has to be something that'll peak my interest in the long run, Emerald placed on his blue coat and walked ahead of Charlie to lead the others down the stairs. It's only a matter of time before Kuronina devours Crystal E. Aruba. Once when she learns the truth about their binding, it'll shape both worlds into different patterns of distraction.

  ***

Crystal had stood up and looked at the Great Aruba Beast, that's still cocooned within the block of eyes. Ready to be reanimated and come forth to join the ultimate showdown for the sake of the planet. In the meantime, she's kept her maturity level at it's peak and starting humming a sad, life of a book she read from a couple of months before the Ceremony.

She easily provoked herself into to giving the song a chance as she remained frozen as a statue. It was no mere term of dark emotions that consumed her heart by each passing second.

The one thing that she'd be worried about is if she's willing to take the role of being the next one to lose her life by trying to accomplish a goal that Black had assigned her to in order to stop all the organizations, governments and warriors all over the world from slaughtering and opposing Bloodlust Revelation. It had drilled through the mythical elements of her dark character and how it's taken a toll upon her kindness.

Within seconds, she begun to let out the words she hummed a few moments ago.

  I can never understand life.

Why must I go through darkness?

I can sometimes just take the blood

That thickens the sickness of my enemies.

I have developed my feelings into pure

  Turmoil once it was unfolded.

Crystal had begun to retrace her sad thoughts of what happened to the Diary Symbol that day. Her seventh birthday was the worst one and it felt as if Lola didn't have any empathy about the circumstances at the time.

It's easier being angry than it

Is being happy because you can

Show the world that you have a dark

  Side as well.

It bled through my veins with the moons

Turning into a phthalo blue, but is morphing

With beautiful ruddy pink, and my eyes just can't

Help but control the shapes and enroll my philosophical

Thoughts into what the alternation of the moon

  Is all about.

Black stood at the entrance of door as he listened on. It's been the same damn perspective he's had when he was a human being; just like the rest of the world. However, that was no longer accurate due to some of the dark events he's put himself through.

"That was beautiful, Crystal," Black complimented.

No redness had erupted on Crystal's face. She no longer had anything to be afraid of anymore. It was the only way for to let go of her fear and happiness by releasing all her inner demons and letting it comfort her. Same as Black had suffocated her in his dark cloak during the process of her changing her vision and opinions of Lola.

"Thanks, Black. I really wanted to thank you for giving me something that I never had the courage to
bring out," Crystal ran toward Black and embraced him with tears streaming down her eyes. She felt lonely all these years and soon anticipated the moment she came in touch with Black that it was enough for her to bear.

"It's OK. This is the first time that you've shed tears in seven years and there's no limits for what you can do with your anger to destroy Lola. There's one more thing that you need to understand about Death."

Crystal gawked up to hear the Reaper's words, whose face had been covered by the darkness.

  "...It's Unstoppable..."

Lisa thrust her fist into Shizuka's face, knocking the warrior down on her ass. She moved quickly enough before Lisa slammed the heel of her foot into the surface. Thorn moved in and tackled down Shizuka, not before she nailed her teeth into the left side of the woman's abdomen.

Shizuka shrieked with her eyes widening. She felt Lisa's foot connecting, squarely, in her face with the blood oozing out of her nose. Thorn released her knitting tenacity as she pounced backwards. She unsheathed her claws and slapped them together with a steam of royal purple stream flying at the Western General.

Thorn denounced this ability as the Gurasa Jewelry Strings. The Poison Bloodlust can only perform this technique when she's in the state of her Gurasa Wolf Spirit transformation.

Shizuka didn't have time to move away from the blow. It soared her body a number of feet away from her adversaries.

Lisa laughed, mocking the woman's injuries as she jumped upon her prey.

"I'm going to have some fun with you, my dear. I wonder if you taste just as delicious as Lola from when she being tortured," Shizuka's eyes widened from hearing Lisa's words.

Her heart began to hurt once Lisa rammed her forehead into the woman's heart. She tried her hardest to smash her fist into the woman's face. But a huge chunk of flames splashed across the succubus' striking hand. Lisa bellowed and didn't think that it was appropriate for her to hit her again.
