A Dangerous Love 4: No More Chances
Page 14
I don’t give a fuck how hard a nigga claimed to be, every mothafucka wanted that one special chick they could call theirs. Shid, they needed it. They had to find a balance from actually losing themselves to the streets. Knowing they had somebody waiting on them made them rethink some of the dumb shit they did. It made them think smarter, for some niggas anyway. My moms and Britt had held my balance fah years. Until I met Peaches.
Did I love her? Without a doubt, there was no questioning it.
“You too,” Licking my lips, I stood up straight, wiping at my bottom lip. “Don’t be leaving yo damn lipstick on me, I don’t wanna be walking round with no damn glossy ass lips.” Peaches was next in line, but she ain’t move, just stood there looking at me. “Put yo stuff up there, fuck you lookin’ at me fah?”
“You love me?” She asked, biting into her bottom lip.
Fuck kinda question was that? “Fah sho, you know you my bae. Fuck you lookin’ like that?”
Peaches was naïve as fuck when it came to this shit, but it was sexy on her. Bet if we was fuckin’ her dumbass would say she feel it. That thought had me laughing.
“What? Stop laughing. It’s not funny.”
I shook my head, took the clothes from her and then sat them on the counter. Reaching in my pocket, I grabbed my wallet at the same time Peaches went in the other, grabbing my phone. “Nosy ass, tell yo friend to bring her shit up here.”
She looked away from my phone. “Missy, bring your stuff up here, Blaze paying—”
“Blaze paying?” The black one asked way too excitedly.
“I’ll pay fah yo shit if I can slap the fuck outda you.” I still wanted to beat her ass fah almost hitting me. Ol’ girl looked at me then to my right. Peaches stood on the side of me shaking her head no fast”.
“Don’t, Ang. It ain’t even worth it. Trust me.” Peaches told her and I muffed her.
“Shut yo ass up, ain’t nobody ask you shit.” I wanted to slap fire from her black ass. “Ace, let’s go.”
Peaches paid me no mind as she grabbed two black and white bracelets with balls and some pink lip gloss and sat them on the counter.
“You better keep yo hands off me before you get yoself slapped,” she said, clapping her hands together. All I could do was laugh at her goofy ass as I paid for their stuff.
Chapter 19
Blaze
“What you about to do now?” Peaches asked as she went back to lookin’ through my phone. Handing Lips her bag, I put my arm around Peaches’ shoulder and we started walking out the store.
“Take Ace to get something to get eat and buy you ice cream,” I told her, leading towards the food court. “Little dude need his hair cut, dusty ass ‘fro,” I looked down at Ace who was sporting a little mug.
“His fro is not dusty, it’s just the color of his hair. It’s like a sandy brown, so leave him alone. Lorenzo can trim him up at the shop we’re going to, give him a little s-curl if he wants it done,” Peaches said, looking down at Ace who shrugged.
“It don’t matter. What you think I should get, Kimmy?” He asked, making her laugh.
“Little man, you too much. But I think you’ll look cute with a curl—” Kimmy started sayin’, but Ace cut her off.
“Cute? I ain’t no damn dog, baby, I’m handsome,” Ace checked her.
Peaches stopped walking as did the rest of her little clique, looking at Ace like he was crazy. Shid, I liked dude, I was gon’ have to pick him up more often.
“Tell her, Ace. You ain’t a damn dog, fuck wrong with her callin’ you cute. Slap her ass—” Peaches punched me in the arm. “Ace, this how you do it.” I pulled up my jeans then playfully slapped Peaches.
Her mouth fell open and I quickly jumped back before reaching out and grabbing her arm. I wasn’t scared of her, but Peaches was a fighter, she hit like a nigga. That’s what I liked about her, I needed a fighter to handle me, couldn’t have no weak ass chick claiming to be down until shit started to happen and she fold like a bitch.
N’all, I can’t have that.
Peaches’ ass had showed, on more than one occasion, she was a rider. First when she popped ol’ boy off, then when she helped me pack my house. Her ass ain’t freak the fuck out and cry that hoe ass shit. Instead, she helped a nigga.
I didn’t want her involved in the lifestyle, but it was good to know she wouldn’t fold when something serious happened.
“Nuh-uh, nigga, let me go. You gon’ try to show him something, show it right. We fight back. You hit, expect to get yo ass whooped,” she snapped, jerking her arms back, tryna get loose, making Ace laugh.
“Big homie, I know you not scared. Kick her ass in the balls,” Ace said, geek’d up.
I burst out laughing as did Peaches. “Boss, Peaches, gon’, damn I was playin’. Ace, I’m about to slap yo ass, what I tell you about yo mouth?” I picked Peaches up bridal style, making her laugh.
“You too old to be this playful, gon’ Blaze.” Peaches laughed while she wrapped her arms around my neck.
I looked down at Ace and winked. “She ain’t got balls pimp, this all woman. Wanna see?” I jokingly asked and Peaches slapped me on the back of my head. “Boss, yo ass better quiet hitting me before I knock you the fuck out. Better yet…” I pretended as if I was about to drop her which caused a girlish little scream to leave her mouth.
“Blaze, stop with yo black ass. You play too much,” she snapped, tryna act mad.
“I don’t know, Peach, I like playful Blaze,” Peaches’ black friend said and I wanted to choke that hoe. I don’t know why, but her friends irritated the fuck out me. All except one.
Coming to the food court, I put Peaches back on her feet and sat down. “Ace, what you want to eat?”
He waved me off then grabbed ol’ girl hand.
“Don’t worry about it, Kimmy taking me. Come on.” She didn’t get the chance to say anything as he started dragging her off.
Shaking my head, I looked back at Peaches. “You want something?” I asked.
She looked around. “You can get me some General Tso’s Chicken from Panda Express and three Egg Rolls.”
Nodding, I went to get her food. After ordering her food and adding a coke, I paid and went back to the table.
“So yo ass still talkin’ to that bitch?” Peaches snapped, holding up my phone. On the screen was Krystal’s messages.
“I went to see her today and asked her ass about that video. She ain’t do it—”
“How the fuck you know she didn’t? And I told yo ass not to talk to her, so why the fuck would you go over there?” She asked.
“Man, calm yo ass down. If Krystal did it, her ass would’ve said so when I pulled my damn gun on her. That’s how the fuck I know she ain’t do it. So when you see her ass, don’t say shit to her and she gon’ do the same. I don’ already talked to her about those dumbass lies she be tellin’. Told her you ain’t fuck’d up about her ass, if she don’t step to you then she good.
“That video, I don’t know who did it, but Krystal’s dumbass wouldn’t have thought of no shit like that,” I told her and she mugged me hard. “Peaches, fix yo gotdamn face, I ain’t fuckin’ with that damn girl.”
“I miss you, promise me I’ll see you tonight. So that’s nothing, right?” She snapped, holding the phone in my face.
“Peaches, gon’ with that bullshit. Yo ass tryna make it seem like it’s something, man, get the fuck outda here. I ain’t fuckin’ that damn girl. Read the whole gotdamn text. Did I reply back to that shit? Huh?” I took the phone and pressed it to her damn face. “She’s a cool ass bitch to kick it with when her dumbass ain’t on that bullshit. So gon’ with that shit you thinkin’. She already know ain’t shit happening between us, she know you my girl.”
Was I gon’ tell her Krystal sucked my dick? Hell n’all, I wasn’t a liar, but when Krystal’s ass was the topic, my story was gon’ twist a little bit. Don’t get me wrong, I was crazy ‘bout Peaches, but shid, I was in lust with Krystal’s throat. Head was
head, no matter who was giving it. Wasn’t no nigga gon’ turn that shit down. Then again, it wasn’t even that with Krystal’s ass, we clicked hard as hell when we first met and I didn’t click with mothafuckas too easily.
“Blaze, I swear to god if I find out you fuckin’ that damn girl, I’ma beat the hell outda you. Boss, don’t fuck with me, Blaze.” The way she said that, I believed her ass. Shid, I couldn’t help but to because the look on her face matched the rough sound to her voice.
“You ain’t got to worry about me fuckin’ no bitches, I done already told your ass that shit.” Peaches smacked her lips at that. “On some real shit tho, you ain’t gotda ever worry about me fuckin’ Krystal. I mean, not my dick anyways. My fingers on the other hand got a mind of they own.” My hand slid up her thigh, Peaches’ face stayed twisted hard until my hand moved up further.
Smacking her lips, she shook her head. “B, I’m serious, if you fuckin’ that damn girl and I find out, I’m done. You said you’re not a cheater and I’m trusting you on that, so don’t play me. If you feel that need to cheat then let me know because this not gon’ work,” she explained as I pulled her into my lap. I ain’t wanna fuck us up because there was never gon’ be another Peaches. Couldn’t no woman take her place. Period.
“I’m not a cheater, boss, I ain’t fuckin’ nobody but you. When it all boils down to it, you the only mothafucka that got me, yo. So don’t let no damn text message from a bitch you don’t like start fuckin’ with yo head. I’m pretty sho yo ass got a few messages in yo damn phone that sound worse than that one.” Peaches looked away from me, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
“I know, yo ass don’t see me jumping to shit thinking you fuckin’ whoever textin’ you. Shid, I ain’t fuck’d up about it because yo ass know what’s up or where it’s at, like you say. As long as I don’t see the mothafucka in person, we cool.” Her ass laughed at that, she didn’t know how serious I was, but I was gon’ have to check her damn phone later. Thinking about it, I didn’t like that shit. “Niggas be textin’ you?” Laughing, she got off my lap.
Ain’t shit funny.
“I know where it’s at, remember?”
“N’all, fuck that. Let me see yo phone?” Laughing, Peaches shook her head. “Oh, so it’s like that. Yo nosy ass always in my shit, but once I ask to see yours, it’s no. I’ll break that bitch and yo ass won’t have shit.” What right did I have to be mad? Shid, every. I was selfish as hell, wasn’t no nigga gon’ sweet talk mine. Yet I had Krystal’s ass textin’. Again, the question popped up.
What right did I really have?
“You always breaking my damn phone then turn around and buy me another one. You the dummy spending yo money. Don’t think you slick, I meant what I said about you and that bitch. Let me find out, Blaze,” she said, pointing her fork at me as she grabbed her food.
“I ain’t fuck her. Like I told you before, she a cool as chick when—”
“That sucks yo dirty little dick. I don’t like you being cool with her of all people, but at the same time I wanna be able to trust you.” Taking a deep breath and letting it out, Peaches rolled her eyes. “So I’m trusting you. Blaze, don’t fuck me on this because I swear, once you fuck me and lose my trust, that’s it. I don’t do third chances and you’re already on your second.”
Subconsciously my hand rubbed the back of my head. Seeing that, Peaches shook her head when I did it.
I knew she wasn’t playin’ and I ain’t wanna lose her to that dumb shit with Krystal. But at the same time, I ain’t wanna stop kickin’ it with Krystal. Just like with Peaches, we had fun together when her fuckin’ feelings weren’t involved.
We’d play it out and see how things went. Until then, we needed to figure out who the fuck setup cameras in Peaches’ apartment.
As that thought came, Peaches started choking and pop spilled from her mouth.
“Damn, you spitting all over me, you good?” I asked, slapping her on the back.
Glaring at me, Peaches pushed my hand away from her as she took in a deep breath. “You didn’t have to hit me that damn hard, heavy handed ass bastard. Get on my damn nerves,” she said while rolling those damn eyes.
“Do y’all mind if we sit with y’all?” Peaches’ big mouth friend asked with some brown skin dude next to her. Dude stood maybe six foot one, my size.
Something was off about dude, maybe it was just me or the way he was staring at Peaches. Either one, I ain’t like the mothafucka.
“Hell n’all, all these damn tables around here—” I started to snap at her, but Peaches hit me in the stomach, cutting me off. “Boss, I’ma fuck you up,” I said while muffing her ass. I didn’t want those mothafuckas sittin’ with us.
“Yeah, y’all can. Where’s Kim, Angel, and Missy?” Peaches asked. Shid, that was a good question because I forgot all about Ace little ass.
“At the table behind y’all with Ace. He’s something else,” she stated while shaking her head as she and ol’ boy sat down. Dude sat across from Peaches just staring at her.
“Problem with yo eyes, homie?” Nigga was looking at Peaches hard as fuck, like he was ‘bout ready to jump on her or some shit.
“No problem. Peaches, you can’t speak? I ain’t seen you in a few months,” he said, letting his eyes roam.
Peaches’ eyes cut hard at her friend before she looked at ol’ boys’ expression not changing.
“I could, but apparently I’m not going to if I didn’t say hey already. E, what’s this?” She asked, looking at her friend.
“We’ll, I ran into him a few weeks ago and we hit it off. We’ve kinda been talking since if that’s okay with you. I know y’all—” She started sayin’, but Peaches cut her off as she scooted closer to her.
“Hey, I have no say. If he’s what you want E, then that’s you. We never had anything serious,” Peaches said. So she knew this dude.
“Who the fuck is you?” I asked since those rude mothafuckas wasn’t tryna introduce this nigga.
“I’m Cornell, who you?” He glanced at me then back to Peaches. Dude ain’t seemed fuck’d up about me at all. I like niggas like that. What was pissing me off about this nigga was that he was supposed to be with her friend but the nigga was staring at Peaches like he wanted her.
“Don’t worry about me. Nigga, you lookin’ pretty fuckin’ hard. You got a problem with yo fuckin’ eyes, man? Ain’t that yo bitch?” I stood up and Peaches did the same, getting in front of me. “Move, man.” Pushing her little ass out the way, I stepped to dude and he moved back.
“Chill, man. No need fah all that, we cool. I’m just here with my girl and to speak to an old friend,” he explained and Peaches hit me.
“Blaze, sit yo ass down, always tryna fight some gotdamn body. You got people staring at us,” Peaches snapped, her voice tight, matching the hard glare on her face. “Sit yo ass down, damn. Can’t take yo black ass nowhere.”
“Fuck you mean? Dude sitting here staring at you like he in love or some shit, but she his girl. Get that shit outda here. Bitch, ain’t you fuckin’ King?” I asked ol’ girl and her mouth opened slightly, looking stunned.
“Okay, lets go. Ace, come on,” Peaches said, grabbing her stuff and pushing me. “Get up, lets go. We don’t have time fah this shit, let’s go, Blaze,” she snapped, pushing me again. “Get up! Ace, come on.” Getting up out my seat, ol girl watched me, mugging.
“Bitch, what the fuck you staring at? King know yo ass out here with this nigga? Don’t worry about it, mama, he gon’ know soon.” I wasn’t a snitch. If it didn’t have shit to do with me, I ain’t give a fuck. Plus, King’s ass wasn’t doing right so shid, she could do what she wanted in my book. But this bitch bucked at me and Krystal’s ass awhile back. I wasn’t gon’ say shit, but her dumbass didn’t need to know that.
“Nigga, fuck you. King and I ain’t even together no more so you can kill that bitch shit you doing with yo mouth,” ol’ girl snapped at me and I looked at her dude, he was just sitting there.
r /> “Yo dude a bitch ass nigga yo, find a new one, baby girl, you can do better.” The hard shove to my back had me turning around only to be met by a glaring Peaches and her pointing finger, as if telling me to move. “I’m going, see you ladies later.”
“I’ll meet y’all at the shop, sorry about him,” she said.
Why she was apologizing for me? I didn’t do shit wrong. After waving, I followed Peaches out the food court.
Chapter 20
Blaze
“Now why you go starting stuff? And you bet not tell King shit that woman doing.”
“Man, I ain’t worried about that damn girl or who she fuckin’ but that’s yo damn brother—” Peaches turned around so fast I moved back, thinking her ass was about to swing.
“My brotha is a hoe and has put my best friend through so much shit since they met. If leaving him makes her happy, then so be it. Why would you try starting shit?” She asked.
“I ain’t start nothing, that nigga was looking like you was his girl instead of that big mouth trick he was with. So gon’ with that bullshit. And what the fuck he means he ain’t seen yo ass in a few months. Was you fuckin’ with that nigga?”
“Don’t you even go there because who I was with when we weren’t together shouldn’t even matter for the simple fact that you was with that bitch,” Peaches snapped, muffing my head back. “And I wasn’t with him, I ain’t seen Cornell ass in a few years. So I don’t know what the fuck he’s talkin ‘bout. His ass is crazy, that’s why I stopped fuckin’ with him,” she explained.
“Well, you heard what the fuck he said. Dude saying a few months, not years—”
“And you heard what I said. I barely want yo ass, the fuck make you think I’ma go to a clingy, crazy mothafucka?”
I started to push her short ass down the fuckin’ escalator, lying ass. “Shut the fuck up. So you don’t want me now?”
Giving me a once over, she smacked her lips then rolled her eyes. “No,” she stated with an attitude. Getting off the escalator, I walked up behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist. ”Nuh-uh, gon’, Blaze. I’m mad at you right now.” Even though she said that, Peaches didn’t try hard to get out of my arms. My head went into the side of her neck. “Blaze, stop biting me. Stop, you play too much,” she laughed. Lifting up, Peaches looked at me with a shake of her head. “I can’t stand you, I swear,” she said as her lips formed into a smile.
