  “Relax.”

She trembled and held her head still for a few seconds before listening and letting her head fall back off the bed, her shoulders on the edge. Levi straddled her right leg and reached his hand up to her pussy. She shook slightly as he ran his fingers between her wet pussy lips.

Levi slid his finger into her, causing her to inhale a quick breath. She was so wet and warm, his cock twitched. He wiggled his finger inside her before pulling it free. Tessa gave him a beautiful whimper as he slid two fingers into her cunt.

  “You’re very wet, sweetie.”

She trembled as he slipped his fingers in and out of her several times.

“Levi?” She lifted her head to speak but then let it fall back off the bed again.

He was aware that this was uncomfortable for her. Plus, her muscles were already a bit tired.

“I can have you the way I want to. Say it.” Levi wanted her to give herself completely. Not just for his benefit but for hers, as well.

She lifted her head again, and he could see the strain. It was getting harder for her to do.

  “Levi.”

He swiftly leaned forward and reached up to hold the back of her head. “Say it, Tessa.”

She moaned and her legs slowly shifted on the bed. “Yes. You can have me how you want.”

Levi’s grin widened momentarily before falling off. “Good, love.”

  Chapter Four

Levi’s tone caused a bit of alarm to tighten Tessa’s chest. How much did she trust this dominating man? This criminal who was practically a stranger still. That’s the reason for the safeword. Tessa took a deep breath, trying to quiet her nerves.

Levi slowly let go of her head, and she let it hang over the edge of the bed again. Blood rushed to her head, and her fast-paced heart beats pumped in her ear. Her lips started to feel swollen and hot. She licked them absentmindedly as Levi shifted between her legs.

“I can’t wait to hear you coming, love.” He ran his hands up her stomach, causing her to shudder.

His hands reached her breasts, and he massaged them. Tessa moaned as he lightly pinched her nipples before returning to squeezing her breasts. Levi adjusted his knees between her legs, moving her legs farther apart from each other.

She felt so exposed, open before him, with no vision of him or his expression. One hand left her breast and soon his fingers were touching her throbbing clit. Tessa inhaled quickly as he played with her, causing tingles to flow out from her button.

Levi slipped a finger inside her, and she held her breath for a moment.

  “You like that, Tessa?”

She exhaled roughly with a whimper. There was no denying that she was immensely enjoying his touches. Her body bucked forward when his fingers returned to her clit, jiggling it wildly. Tessa reached up and grabbed his arm that was still pressing down on her chest. She whimpered as her orgasm neared.

A small headache was spreading as her heartbeat increased. She was having trouble swallowing with her head upside down which, in turn, was making it harder to breath. She lifted her head slightly but soon had to let it hang down because her neck muscles weren’t strong enough.

“Levi.” Her tone was a plea.

“My sweet is ready to come?”

Tessa let out a whimper mixed with a soft hum. Levi’s next movements were sudden but apparently planned. Levi pressed harshly against her clit a few more times before removing his hand from her pussy. In a quick second, his hard cock was pressed to her.

Levi pushed his cock against her opening and was soon sliding inside. Tessa moaned loudly. He wasn’t waiting for her muscles to adjust to him. Soon, he was thrusting deep into her with little hesitation. She cried out again as some pain mixed with the tingle of her approaching climax.

  “Get ready, hon.”

  ****

Her body was beautifully arched off the side of the bed, pushing her breasts up. They bounced delightfully as he thrust his cock deep inside her. Tessa lifted her head for a mere second before letting it hang down again.

  It’s time, little one.

Levi stilled his dick deep inside her pussy and slid his hand from her tit up to her neck. He gripped it, not too harshly but enough to restrict her breathing a little more. Tessa squirmed under him, her legs rubbing back and forth.

He reached up swiftly and pulled her blindfold off. Her eyes were wide as she stared up at him. Levi leaned farther over her as he started to fuck her again. Her eyes fluttered shut, and he squeezed her neck a bit harder, his inked hand in contrast against her creamy skin. It was still not enough to really scare her but close.

Levi wanted her to feel powerless, but not in a sadistic way, in an out of control way. He wanted her to give in to him with no fear. He leaned back, still holding her neck but loosening his grip some more. He pressed his other hand against her chest, speeding up his thrusts into her.

  “Come for me, Tessa.”

She tried to take a deep breath, and he felt it in his hand. Tessa reached up and gripped his wrist. Levi pressed his fingers into her skin one more time before releasing her neck. She gasped and cried out, almost simultaneously as her orgasm let go.

Levi pulled his arm out of her hold and reached down to her clit. He pressed firm circles into it as she came. Her pussy spasmed around his dick, and she moaned louder. She lifted her head, her eyes untamed and watering as she stared at him. Levi rubbed her clit a few more times before her body bucked up off the bed.

“Levi!” Her head fell back down, and she was spent.

Levi removed his hand from her engorged clit and gracefully slid his arm under her back. In one fluid motion, he slid both of their bodies backward so her head finally lay on the bed. Tessa slowly turned her head from side to side, breathing erratically.

There you go, love. Letting it go.

  Chapter Five

Tessa was still trying to catch her breath as she relaxed her neck against the bed. She opened her eyes to stare up at the stunning man who was hovering over her. His eyes were bright as his face tensed. He let out a low groan, and his hips increased in speed and force.

She’d never had sex this intense before, but she could see the obvious attraction to it. When he had control over her, it was freeing. Tessa wasn’t sure that would make sense to others unless they’d tried it. She didn’t care, she wanted more.

She gripped Levi’s arms as he thrust deep into her pussy. His choking had been invigorating. It had begun with fear threatening to overtake her, but it soon slipped into pleasure as she’d watched his feral expression. Levi was taking her how he wanted, just as he’d said.

Her gaze worked up his tattooed arms as his muscles tensed. His jaw tightened, and some of his light hair fell into his eyes. Levi moved one hand back to her neck, and she urged him on by tilting her head back, exposing more of her neck.

Levi growled as his lips turned up into a wicked grin. He gripped her neck, with less pressure than before, and squeezed. Tessa held her breath and he leaned back, his eyes closing.

He fucked her hard and deep for a moment longer before his own orgasm rolled through him. Levi swiftly let go of her neck, and she inhaled a shaky breath. He not so gently pulled his cock out of her pussy and gripped it. Levi moaned as he jerked his cum onto her stomach. His legs shook, his eyes wide and focused on her face.

“Fuck.” He spoke through clenched teeth as the last of his warm cum landed on her skin. “Damn, Tessa.”

He slowed his arm, panting, still looking down on her. In this moment, Levi didn’t seem like a stranger. Maybe he was smarter than she thought about all this over-thinking business. He smiled at her, his breathing still heavy.

  “Perfect, love.”

Levi tossed the towel he had just used to clean his cum off Tessa, and it landed next to his dresser. He turned on the bed and lay down next to her. She twisted, shifting onto her side, and looked him in the eyes. He did the same, reaching up to brush her hair off her shoulder.

&n
bsp; “Well, that was fun.” Tessa’s gaze moved down to his chest as a small grin lifted her lips.

“Yeah.” His tone was mock indifference as he shrugged.

Her stare returned to his face as her mouth popped open. She lifted her head and playfully smacked his arm. “You better be kidding.”

“I think I need another round to really assess it.” Levi tried to smother his smirk.

Tessa shook her head, smiling, before lying down on the pillow. She drummed her fingers on the bed and a bit of anxiousness crept into Levi’s chest. He was a fairly confident man. Almost never lost about what he wanted, but there was a quiet whirlwind in his head right now.

He wanted Tessa, there was no denying that, but was it good for her? Even if he really could walk away from his criminal ways, would he drag her down anyway? Levi reached up and tucked some of her long, dark hair behind her ear.

“Tessa, I need to make a few calls.”

She shifted on the bed, looking up at him. Her smile was gone, replaced by a small frown.

  “What’s wrong?”

Levi lifted her hand to his face and left a quick kiss on the back of it. “Nothing, love. I just need to double check on a few things. You know, make sure this business is closed.”

Tessa pulled her hand away from him, and he could see it in her face. Her over-thinking had started again. Once this was over with, however, she could relax more. They both could.

  “You said it was over.”

“I know and I’m sure it is. I would like to make a phone call and put this to bed.”

Levi was unsure why sudden worry and stress had invaded him. Was there something happening out in the world that was sending him negative vibes? Was he just feeling the full weight of having a woman to worry about?

He traced his finger down her cheek, and she closed her eyes. “Love, don’t worry. Seriously, it’s just a few phone calls.”

  Her eyes opened slowly. “Okay.”

He could hear in her tone that she wasn’t completely believing him that there was nothing wrong. I just need to be done with this job. Well, the part that threatens her.

Levi sat up and patted her leg. “I’ll be right back.”

As he climbed off the bed, Tessa sighed. Levi retrieved his boxers from the floor and headed out into the hallway. He walked down the stairs and grabbed his phone off the entryway table. Levi stepped into his study, clicking his phone to life.

After he tapped on the screen a few times, it rang twice and then an annoyed voice answered. “What the hell do you want?”

  Chapter Six

Tessa stood from the bed and walked over to where Levi’s t-shirt lay on the floor. She slipped it on with no underwear to go on under it. She smirked as she remembered the ripping sound. Her good mood didn’t last long as she turned to look at his bedroom door.

What calls did he have to make, and why was it important to do it right now? Maybe he’s regretting this already? Maybe he’s calling his boss for another job? Tessa took a few steps toward the door but then paused. She should trust him, right? If she didn’t, why was she here? Just for the sex?

She rubbed her hands down her stomach as her mind bounced from thought to thought. Tessa slowly shook her head before exhaling roughly. She turned and walked over to Levi’s dresser. She opened the top drawer, only boxers. Tessa opened the second drawer and found what she was after, socks.

She found a pair of light-gray dress socks. As she pulled them out and turned back toward the bed, she tried to envision Levi in a business suit. It actually wasn’t hard to do and, no surprise, in her mind, he looked gorgeous, smiling sinfully in a black suit.

A small moan came off her lips without her permission as her daydream gradually disappeared. Tessa sat on the bed and put on the socks. Afterward, she ran her hands down her legs, trying to slow her mind, an unattractive thought invading it.

I guess there’s nothing to do but wait for him to end this.

  ****

“All right. I appreciate it.” Levi looked out his window, on his second phone call.

“No problem. I’ll be in touch.”

“Thanks.” Levi pulled the phone away from his ear and ended the call.

He took a deep breath. At least that phone call had been more satisfying than the first one. Still, all seemed good with the world, but Levi understood there was no guarantee that would last.

Levi turned, leaving his study. When he reached his entry table, he set his phone down but stalled, something grabbing his attention. Tessa stood about halfway up the stairs, wearing his t-shirt again but had added his socks to her outfit.

He tilted his head, a lopsided grin pulling on his lips. She looked beautiful standing there, her attire a symbol of being his. A small worry slithered into his head. Could he be the man she wanted? He swiftly smothered the worry, strolling toward the bottom of the stairs.

“Cold feet, love?” He stopped at the stairs, placing one leg on the first step, leaning his arm against the railing.

Tessa looked down at her feet, wiggling her toes before returning her stare to his face. “You don’t mind, do you?”

Levi shook his head, his grin growing. “No, but be careful where you go snooping in this house.”

He was only half-joking about that. Tessa narrowed her eyes with a small scowl. He wondered just what she was thinking. Worried, most likely, about him and his intentions. Levi couldn’t blame her.

“Well, next time, I’ll ask first.” Her expression lightened as she took a few steps down toward him.

When she reached the step above the one his foot rested on, he reached out, placing a hand on her hip. Levi squeezed lightly and rubbed his fingers against her, noticing that there was no panty line under the thin shirt.

“Do you need to call work?”

“In a bit.” Tessa rested her hand on his shoulder. “Who were you talking to?”

Levi’s eyes searched her face before looking down at his hand on her hip. There wasn’t really anything about the conversations that she couldn’t hear, it was just that he didn’t want the way they met to keep coming up and to keep being a focal point.

How can I move on from that life if I have to keep talking about it with her? The one person I know who’s too good for that?

“Oh, it was nothing.” He squeezed her hip again.

“Levi.” Tessa cocked her head to the side, eyeing him suspiciously.

Her brow furrowed, and she removed her hand from his shoulder. Was it better to simply tell her the truth or was it better to move on?

“Come on, Tessa.” He took her hand. “I’m starving.”

  Chapter Seven

Tessa sat at Levi’s large wooden kitchen table, holding her coffee mug. She silently watched him as he flipped the sizzling bacon. Her gaze worked over his muscular back and his inked arm. Her mind was focused on more than just how stunning he was, though.

Why can’t he tell me who he was talking to? Is he protecting me or keeping secrets? Of course he had secrets. Tessa frowned before lifting her mug to her lips. She had just met him, and he was a criminal by trade. How many other women had he kidnapped? How many more would he?

Stress filled her body, and her hand trembled as she set down her mug. Maybe there was no way this could work. Would she forever be suspicious and waiting for him to hurt her? I just need to relax and see what happens. We’re not getting married, for fuck’s sake.

Levi turned and smiled at her before plating some of the finished bacon. Her own mind was going to drive her insane. Maybe she needed another “stop my mind” session with Levi already. She shook her head and then stood.

Tessa walked over to Levi, grabbing the bread from the counter. “Can I make you some toast?”

“Sure. Thank you.” He put the last of the bacon on the plate and turned to look at her.

Tessa went to work with the bread, pulling the toaster closer. Her mind simply needed a bit of an explanation to rest.

  “Levi, why can’t you tell
me who you were talking to? Was it your boss? Or a girl?”

She kept her eyes focused on the bread and toaster as she continued to work, but out of the corner of her eye, she could see he was staring at her. Levi didn’t speak, he merely stood there watching her. After a few more seconds, she pressed down the lever on the toaster and turned to look at him.

Levi’s expression was almost blank as he looked into her eyes. What the hell was he thinking? Was he deciding on which lie to tell her?

“All right, love. You won’t rest until I tell you something. Am I right?”

Tessa frowned, wondering how rude he had intended that to sound. “Well, I…”

Levi grabbed the plate of bacon and walked past her to set it on the table. Fear worked into her chest. Maybe she should have just kept her mouth shut. As she watched Levi, she took several shallow breaths. Soon the toaster made a loud noise as the toast sprang up. Tessa jumped and tensed her fingers on the counter. Damn it.

She reached out to grab the warm toast, but Levi beat her to it. He grabbed both pieces, dropping them onto a clean plate. He placed a hand on her lower back, and Tessa took a deep breath, a little fearful of what he’d say next.

  “I called Sam.”

  “Sam?” The fear flared.

“Yes. I wanted to hear his voice to sense if he really was satisfied with the end of the job. He sounded like he hates me, but I didn’t get the feeling that he cared enough to bother us.”

“Oh.” Tessa turned her gaze down to her hand on the counter. Was that it? “Just making sure it’s over?”

Levi placed his hand on top of hers. “Yes. I wanted to prove that what I’d told you was true. We shouldn’t have to worry about Sam popping up anywhere. I think we’re in the clear with him.”

Tessa turned to look at him. His stunning green eyes looked so sincere. “Is that the only call you made?”
