She continued, “It’s Ambrosius. He is the one jewel that dropped from the Mountain King’s crown and landed in the lake. Returning to Woodlen he caused great fear. Now all we have to do is cleanse him for the prophecy to come true and our Mountain King faith will be reborn to new levels.”

Thorik couldn’t believe his ears. “No, you’ve got the wrong Kingdom. It’s Darkmere’s Kingdom that will be reborn. The Terra King is actually Darkmere in disguise.”

Water poured out in greater levels as the water raised another half a foot.

Emilen grabbed Thorik’s hands and locked them onto the handle with her own hands. “You’re wrong Thorik. This is our chance to make the ultimate sacrifice for our belief.”

Thorik looked upon her. Her red hood covered most of her beautiful curly hair and her eyes were shallow and distant. It was Emilen, and yet it wasn’t. Her personality no longer was glowing, but the gem in the center of her new brass disk was, as it hung from its leather necklace.

“Em,” Thorik asked, “How did you know what happened in Woodlen? And how did you know Ambrosius was coming here?”

“The Terra King already knew he was coming to Pyrth. I just needed to tell him where our camp was. He then gave Gluic’s crystal the information needed to lead Ambrosius here.”

Thorik was shocked. “How? Em, how could he have known we were coming to Pyrth? How did he know of Gluic’s use of crystals?”
