Fate of Thorik

The large cat, Delvorian, who once chased Thorik north of Woodlen, now blocked Avanda’s access to the Weirfortus doorway. Instead of trying to get around him, she turned and ran to the Mognin rowboat.

The cat slowly stalked her. He knew she couldn’t get away. The idea of her running only excited him and increased his hunger.

Avanda grabbed her red purse of magical items that she had taken from Sharcodi, north of Pyrth. Turning with the sack in hand she reached in and pulled out a vile of liquid. “Stay back or I’ll turn you into a pig,” she claimed, hoping he would accept her bluff.

He stopped for a moment and looked at the symbols on the sack. He knew it was Sharcodi’s enchanted items and came to a stop. “You don’t know how to use them. Now put those down before you dissolve yourself, preventing me from my fresh meal.” He proceeded toward her.

“I’m warning you. I’ll use this.”

“Then use it, and get it over with. I’m hungry,” Delvorian purred out at her while increasing his speed.

She threw the vile at him, popping him in the nose before it bounced off and shattered on the tile floor. A purple liquid spilled out causing a greasy stain on the ground.

The cat growled as he pawed his bleeding nose. Her attack had only angered him.
