Kennedy Awakens

Time in the shadow world passed faster than time in the real world. That was Randell’s guess. That was how nearly twenty-four hours passed in the shadows while only twelve passed on the outside. With no indication the tear in reality was repaired, any use of magic might upset the delicate balance. As far as she could tell, everyone pulled into the dark world was spit back out when Hooper set off the love bomb.
Kennedy didn’t know if anything followed them back from the other side. In her mind, she felt it was too real a possibility.
She was jolted back to reality by Randell’s words. “If you need any help, you have my number now, and where to find me… Please, just call first, I will send down a pass. No need to blast the door.”
“I am really sorry about that.”
“No worries, MIT has a huge endowment they can afford new glass, once in a while.”
“Well, chew can’t do nothing without chor lucky charm.” Alleye drank her coffee. “I will be right by chor side.”
Kennedy smiled through her pain. “How can I fail with friends like you two?” She then forced her cynical mind to not search for all the ways she might fail.
The future might not be too bright, after all. It might only take a slight push to thrust the universe back down the path of destruction. Anyone who touched that darkness might have been changed in unimaginable ways.
Kennedy started aging and jumped over puberty. Joey was nearly turned into a real human. She was afraid of what future discoveries lay ahead and the dangers they would bring.

It is estimated that only one in a hundred people who read a book leave a review.
When you leave a review, it is like leaving a tip after a great meal, like hitting a fastball into the outfield, like great sex… all right, I might have gone just a little too far, but authors love getting the stars.
There is a practical side to reviewing independent authors. Several of the larger booksellers will increase exposure for books that receive a certain number of reviews. The more the reviews, the more we get exposed. Believe it or not, this helps us sell books.
I know I have gone on too long, but please, if you liked this book, go to where you bought it, and leave a quick review. It will help me out, and all your friends will understand what good taste you have.
