A Cross to Bear

I took off my boxers and stroked myself several times, giving her a little pre-fuck show. My pre-cum slowly oozed out of the tip of my cock. I rubbed it over the head and down my shaft, smiling as Bree used her tongue, hungrily rubbing it across her bottom lip.

“Want it?” I asked, edging closer to the bed, rubbing my cock across her hot pussy.

“Yes…yes…” she said, reaching out for me.

I grabbed her ankles, pulling her down to the edge of the bed. Before pushing myself inside her, I reached for my jeans and took out a condom from my wallet.

Bree smiled and watched me slip it on, licking her lips.

I lifted her legs over my shoulders. I settled my cock near the entrance of her pussy, moving it around in circles.

My willpower was almost spent. I couldn’t hold back a moment longer. With one hard thrust, I was inside her. Her beautiful wet vagina enveloped my cock as though it were welcoming me home.

Bree let out a sharp gasp and smiled as I filled her completely.

With my shaft deep inside her, we held still for a moment, enjoying the fact that we were together at last.

Slowly, I moved in and out of her, letting each motion send a trail of sensations coursing through our bodies. I leaned forward.

Bree bent her legs, pressing them against her chest.

I drove into her, impaling her with each hard thrust. My moans of pleasure soon mirrored hers. I slid my arm under her back, holding her close while making love to her, not wanting to miss the feel of her breath on my face. I plowed harder, each stroke bringing the two of us closer to the point of no return.

Bree moved her hips up, meeting each of my thrusts. Our flesh slammed together, wild, hungry, and desperate. She started to climax as I moved harder, faster. Our breaths danced together, never once missing a beat.

  “Oh, fuck!” I mumbled.

The tingles pulsed out from my balls, gripping my stomach. The sensation built the harder I fucked her.

  “I’m gonna come,” Bree announced.

Her words pushed me to the edge. White lights flashed before my eyes. The electrical impulses charged through me. I pushed harder into her, the tip of my cock brushing against her cervix.

“Ooooh, my God!” Bree cried, the orgasm sweeping through her.

The climax ripped through the two of us. We slammed into each other, never once breaking the momentum.

I ground into her pelvis to control my orgasm. It peaked, encompassing my whole body. In seconds, I shot my seed deep inside her. I raised myself onto my elbows, allowing my cock to relax before pulling out of her. I pressed my head to her chest, her arms soon surrounding me.

“I love you,” I said, holding her tight.

“I love you, too,” Bree replied, brushing her lips against my own.

Once we were both composed, our kisses grew firm, yet gentle, loving and tender. Our lovemaking continued throughout the night until the two of us drifted off to sleep.

I woke up with Bree in my arms, my soul complete. It was the single most defining moment in my life.

Her head rested on my chest, her warm flesh pressed against mine. Her heartbeat mirrored my own.

I smiled, knowing that I’d finally allowed myself to be happy. Being with Bree made more sense to me than I could have imagined. To love and trust her, to be the one she wanted. I gave myself to her completely. There was nothing I wouldn’t do for her.

As Bree stirred from her sleep, she moved her hand up to rub her face. She looked back at me and smiled.

“Good morning.” Her sleepy voice sounded amazing so early in the morning.

“How did you sleep?” I asked, running my fingers through the long strands of her curls.

“Like a baby.” Her fingertips grazed my sides as she cuddled into me. “You?”

I chuckled, unable to contain my happiness. “I was too excited to sleep.”

“Oh,” she said, looking up at me.

“Don’t worry,” I whispered. “I dozed off a few times. I wanted to make sure this wasn’t a dream, ya know?”

Bree sat up and leaned against the pillow next to me.

I turned around to face her. We stared at each other for several minutes.

She brushed her hair from her face and giggled before she kissed me. “This was all so real. It was the best night of my life.”

I laughed. If she was trying to stroke my ego, she was doing a good job at it.

“I think we need a repeat performance,” I said, pulling her close to me, leaving little to the imagination.

Her gentle touch stirred my senses.

I was already hard and needed her more than ever before.

A huge smile spread across her face. She reached down and took hold of my cock, stroking me several times.

She bit her bottom lip in contemplation. “I bet I could rock your world,” she whispered.

We made love as if it was our first time all over again. It was beautiful, sexy, and blew my mind every time she climaxed. If Bree had wanted to stake her claim on me, she’d done a good job.

After taking a shower, Bree came back into the room, looking fresh and content.

“Wanna do something today?” I asked.

  “Like what?”

“Head off campus for a few hours?”

“I’d love that,” she replied, bouncing onto the bed and wrapping her arms around me.

“Do you mind if I ask the guys along?”

She shook her head and smiled. “No, I really like them. But I get to ride shotgun.” She grinned.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” I said, and slipped on my shoes.

Jenny came into the room. Her eyes opened wide when she caught sight of me.

“Slept well?” she asked, eyeing the mess we’d made of the bed.

  “Great, thanks,” I responded.

“You’re back early.” Bree glanced at her watch.

“Not really,” Jenny replied. “I’m just picking up a change of clothes. Tommy said he’s treating me to breakfast when I get back.”

“How was the party?” Bree asked.

“It was all right.” Jenny pursed her lips. “I think I drank way too many shots,” she remarked, touching her temples. “But you know what I get like.”

“I know, just as long as Tommy looked after you.”

“Oh, you know he did.” Jenny giggled.

I glanced at Bree. “You ready?”

“Yup,” she said, and grabbed her phone and purse.

  “You two going somewhere?”

“Yeah, just spending a few hours away from campus,” I replied, taking Bree’s hand.

“Bye,” Bree said, and blew Jenny a kiss.

“Laters!” Jenny voice trailed behind us.

We left the room and headed down the stairs and out into the warm September sun.

I wrapped my arm around Bree’s shoulder.

She slipped her hand behind my waist. The two of us started back to my block.

I was proud of being seen with her. We were letting the world know she was mine.

Spence was listening to music when we both got to the room.

Drake sat on my bed, snacking on some chips. He smiled when he saw me with Bree.

“Someone looks well rested,” Spence remarked.

  “Behave!” I pointed at him.

Spence held up his hands and sat back in his chair, pretending he was innocent. I knew him well enough to know he intended on asking for all the details.

“I’m just gonna take a quick shower,” I said, grabbing my stuff. “I’ll be back in a few.”

Bree sat down at my desk and smiled. “I think I’ll be safe with these two.”

“Good,” I replied. “Spence, be on your best behavior, okay?”

The three of them chatted as I left the room. Bree was in safe hands.

I showered in record time and threw on clean clothes before hurrying back to the room.

  Bree
and Spence were laughing, while Drake was busy talking.

“Seriously,” Drake said. “It was my first and last time attempting to ride a horse.”

“Oh my God, I would have died!” Bree giggled.

“What have I missed?” I asked, sliding my wallet and phone in my pocket.

“Drake was telling us about his first time horse riding and how it ended up with him landing in a ton of horseshit,” Spence declared.

“Nice,” I replied, shaking my head. “Do you guys want a change of scenery?”

Spence jumped up from his desk.

  “Where?” Drake asked.

“Who gives a fuck?” Spence said. “Let’s just roll with this.”

  “I suppose so,” Drake replied.

“Cool,” I said, turning toward Bree. “You good to go?”

  “Absolutely!”

Driving away from campus was so freeing. As if I was no longer confined to doing the same thing over and over again. It gave me more independence than I’d ever thought possible. My father had made the right decision in giving the car to me. For the first time, I was grateful for his gift.

Bree sat beside me with the window down, the wind blowing her hair over her face. She looked so goddamn gorgeous.

The guys sat behind us, chilling as the music played.

As far as friendships go, I’d never had close friends growing up. I’d been a bit of a loner most of my life. I hadn’t had time for birthday parties and all the other stuff growing up, not when I had spent the majority of my time at practice or sleeping.

Even in high school, I had fallen under the radar. I’d had a few girlfriends, but nothing had been serious. None of it had been a priority to me. I had been more than happy to sail on through life, never allowing anyone to get close to me.

My mother had tried to get me to interact more often, but it had always seemed to fail.

My grandfather, at one point, had even pulled me to the side and asked me if there was something wrong, if I had anything in my closet that needed airing. It wasn’t until I had turned sixteen when I’d realized what he’d meant. He couldn’t have been farther from the truth.

I never had gotten the whole friendship-relationship thing. Not until now.

Being with Bree, Spence and Drake brought a whole new sense of awareness to my existence. In a short period of time, these three people had made more of an impact on my life than anything else I’d experienced.

I couldn’t wait to tell my mother, and even my father. To me, that proved so much. I had finally found my place and I loved it.

We drove for almost fifteen minutes, listening to Spence’s stories about the girl he had lost his virginity to. From his account, it had left a lot to be desired, and I couldn’t stop laughing.

“Seriously, she told me to stick it in the hole, so I stuck it in. I didn’t realize it was her asshole. She hit me full whack across the nose, breaking it,” he said.

  Tears streamed down Bree’s cheeks.

Drake looked at him and shook his head.

I, on the other hand, was interested. “So…” I said. “What happened after she broke your nose?”

“Oh, it got amusing,” Spence replied, and nodded, a huge grin on his face. “So, the bitch saw the blood, panicked and ran to her bathroom. She came back with a towel and held it to my nose. Obviously, I was a little worse for wear, but for some reason, I was more turned on than ever. The boner I had wouldn’t go down.” He grinned. “There I was, sitting on the floor, and I was dying to be fucked. So, instead of taking me to the ER like a normal person, she insisted on jerking me off. The moment got heated. She got on top of me and bam! She fucked the life out of me, then took me to get my nose reset. Fucking best night of my life.”

It was impossible to contain the laughter. He was extremely serious as he told his tale. Under normal circumstances, anyone would have cringed, but because it was Spence, it was just hilarious.

“Man, you do realize you have serious issues, right?” Drake remarked.

“Nah, man. I was just a horny sixteen-year-old who didn’t give a shit. Literally.”

The four of us laughed hard. Even Spence couldn’t hide his own amusement. I suspected he had many more twisted and unsavory tales to share.

We ended up at the Westerville Mini Golf range, where Spence and Drake competed against each other, both determined to shut the other up.

Bree and I played a game, chatting and enjoying the time together.

“My mother would die if she saw me now,” Bree said.

“Why?” I asked, full of curiosity.

“This,” she said, pointing to what we were doing. “It isn’t something I would have done last year, or any time prior to that.”

“I guess a lot has changed.”

“You have no idea,” she replied, sounding a little sad.

  “Wanna tell me about it?”

She kissed my cheek before shaking her head. “No, not today. Another time, okay?”

“Bree, you know you can tell me anything, right?”

“I know, baby. I’m just getting used to things being much different now,” she said. “All in good time, I promise.”

I nodded and smiled at her, and continued to beat her at our game.

“What do your parents do?” I asked.

“My mother is a lawyer. My dad is an investment banker. Both are very career-driven. Basically, they are way too busy for me, which sucks, but they were never going to change their goals just because my brother and I came along.”

“Wow, that sucks,” I replied. “I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay. Jenny and her family have more than made up for what I didn’t get at home.”

“You and Jenny are pretty close.”

Her face lit up when she spoke about Jenny. “Yes, she is like the sister I never had,” Bree replied with a smile. “We grew up together and did everything together. She is the best.”

  “What are her folks like?”

“Oh.” She picked at the skin around her thumbnail. “Molly, her mom, she is such a sweetheart, a total doll. Her dad, Jack, he’s okay, I guess.” Bree’s face flushed with color.

I noticed her change of mood. “Are you okay?”

“Of course, silly. I’m just not used to talking about myself like this,” she said.

“You shouldn’t be afraid to be honest.”

“What about you, Logan? Any skeletons in your closet?”

  “Not one,” I lied.

“What about your father? He must be doing pretty well for himself if he can purchase a BMW, especially for a kid he hardly knows.”

“He does all right, I guess.” I tried to avoid giving too much away.

“What does he do?” she asked, putting another shot.

  “He’s in politics,” I said.

“I hate politics,” Bree said. “I just don’t get it.”

  “Neither do I.”

“Perhaps one day, we’ll get to meet each other’s parents and decide who the biggest dicks are,” she said, laughing.

“Hey, my mother is a sweetheart,” I said. “But I know she’d love you.”

  “Oh, really?”

I pulled Bree against me and kissed her, catching sight of two giggling little girls. Winking at them, I let go of Bree. We continued playing our game, which I eventually lost.

Spence and Drake were both as bad as the other, neither wanting to admit defeat.

Drake lifted Spence into the air, throwing him over his shoulder and carrying him back to the car.

“Wiseass!” Drake said, smirking and letting Spence down.

“Suck it up.” Spence pushed at Drake, who was a good five inches taller than him.

  “Not likely,” Drake replied.

“Hey, behave, you idiots!” I said, slipping into the car.

  “Let’s go eat,” Bree suggested.

  The boys agreed.

The remainder of the day went well. We had fried chicken and milks
hakes, and I got a long, lingering goodnight kiss once I took Bree home. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people in my life.

After I’d said goodbye to Bree, I noticed I was being followed. But sometimes, I was too stupid for my own good.

  Chapter Eighteen

Three weeks into the fall semester, and Bree was on top of her classes. It wasn’t hard to see the positive impact Logan had on her. He brought out the best in her, and nothing was going to rock that boat.

Jenny was still adamant that they were having dinner with her father on Wednesday night. As much as Bree wanted to avoid the showdown, there was no backing out of it.

Jet, on the other hand, couldn’t wait for Bree to put the nail in the coffin, once and for all. As long as Bree kept avoiding the whole Jack factor, none of her issues would resolve themselves.

“I’ll just linger in the background, be inconspicuous. That’s my forte,” Jet said.

They were in the kitchen on Tuesday night.

“It will look so bad if Jenny sees you there.”

“What? So I can’t take myself out to dinner at fancy restaurants on my own?” she asked, pulling a face. “We all know I do random shit.”

Jet was right. She was unpredictable and did whatever she wanted, even if that meant eating out alone.

“Okay, so, you’ll stick around, then what?”

“Then, you’ll wait until Jack needs to use the little men’s room. You get up, go and powder your nose, and I’ll be there,” Jet said, having it all planned out.

  “And what if Jenny follows?”

“Then, I’ll cause a diversion.” Jet smirked. “We both know I’ve got your back covered. Just make it quick. Then, get back to loverboy, complain you’ve got a headache, and leave.”

Bree sighed, stirring another spoonful of sugar into her coffee. She dreaded having to see Jack, especially now that she and Logan had finally made love. She didn’t want to be reminded of her dirty secret every time she saw Jack.

“I need to convince Logan to join us,” Bree remarked. “He’s not digging the whole thing.”
