“So what do we do now?” Mercy asked as he led her into the kitchen.
“We finish school, graduate, and begin our life together,” he said hugging her close, wondering how she was going to feel when he told her that his father was stepping down and expected him to assume his place as Alpha of his pack as soon as possible. He looked across the room where his father was speaking with Marlo, his hand on her waist as she smiled up at him adoringly, and knew he couldn’t deny him. To give his father the happiness he deserved, Alec had to pull Mercy into the world of the Were much sooner than he had intended, and although he knew she now accepted her role in his life, he couldn’t help but wonder how she was going like living with the pack.
