Secret Regrets (Living For Today #2)

He slid the beautiful baby boy into my arms, leaving one of his beneath so that we were both holding him. His tiny fingers were curled in front of his tiny nose and mouth, and I fell in love even more.
“So what should we name him?” Bryant whispered as he looked at his son.
“I was thinking we would call him… Michael?”
“Like the angel?” he asked, realization dawning on him. A tribute to Angelica, our second angel, but the one we would get to keep with us here. The one we could love and watch grow.
A knock on the door captured our attention, making even little Michael squirm in my arms as a yawn took hold of his body, his little mouth opening so wide.
“Can we come in?” Leslie pleaded as my mom peeked in with her.
“Of course. Please!” I replied, so ready for Michael to meet his family.
In seconds, we were bum-rushed as Leslie, Grant, and my mom swarmed us, cooing and admiring the handsome little baby in my arms. This was it. Heaven on earth.

Living for Today — Book 3
Jordan’s Story
NOBODY COULD HAVE TOLD ME SIX months ago, I would meet the man I would marry. The broken shell of a man, who sat before me, would become my life.
As I stand here, rubbing my swollen belly, a tribute to our love growing inside me, my heart is breaking. This baby a constant reminder of the nights we have shared, passionately loving each other. But today, today he is leaving me.
The screech of the coach bus tires and the glow of their headlights illuminate the scene around me. Here I stand four months pregnant, and he is climbing up those stairs, through those opened bus doors and leaving me behind.
This is not what I signed up for, not what I wanted. I didn’t want any of this; as a matter of fact I specifically told him this would not happen. We see how well my resolve lasted, and where it got me. He just looked so pitiful that night at the bar, and now he is mine. I am his. An irrevocable bond unites us as one.
